Hello so my iphone 4 s got stolen few days ago i found this ''found my iphone'' thing on my pc and it worked perfectly till today i clicked ''remove device'' by excident and know they write '' No Device set up your icloud account on an iphone,ipad,ipod touch or mac to use find my iphone'' HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO DO THAT WHEN I DONT HAVE AN IPHONE? PLEASE SOMBODY HELP ME .!!!
You can't do anything.
If your iPhone is not wiped, it will automatically re-appear when it next connects to the internet.

The phone will automatically re-appear when it connects to the Internet. However, don't get your hopes up, as thieves know this & will make sure your phone never re-connects so you can locate it.

Whenever I update my iPhone software, it asks me to sign in to iCloud with an old email address. My other devices all have the correct address. How can I get the correct address for my iPhone? The only Apple ID that works for logging in is my new one.
To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if you're using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

PLEASE HELP ME FIND A GOOD CAR PLUG FOR MY iPHONE
Alright guys, I have been through 3 different plugs to connect my iphone to my car to play music, and I am a bit ticked. So i figured I would ask the Apple Discussion Boards so you guys can tell me the best audio/charger combo for my iPhone. Here is what happened with each of my previous plugs...
The first one was just a regular ordinary headphone plug that plugged from my iphones headphone slot to my car's auxiliary slot. It worked for a while but then the audio only started coming out through the right side of my car speakers occasionally, and I know for sure it is not my car that made the problem because my radio and CD's play fine through both speakers.
The second one is a "Kensington LiquidAUX Auxiliary Car Kit with Remote for iPod and iPhone". First off the remote that it came with didn't work properly. But here comes the worse part that is so annoying. This problem got progressively worse by the way.... a lot of times the plug would think that it unplugged itself for some strange reason and the music would stop as well as the charging, but then 1 millisecond later it would think it was plugged back in, and although it starts charging again, the music doesn't play again until I press play. Don't tell me to make sure it is plugged in securely because trust me my friends, I have tried everything possible to get this to work. Keep in mind I am driving...so it is a very bad idea to be messing with my phone to press the play again. And lately it has been getting so bad that I actually have to unplug the plug from my iphone and then plug it back in and press play, which is incredibly annoying. This happens about once a minute OR MORE now a days. Also, it makes a really annoying "whirrling" sound whenever I am using it. By the way, I even turned Airplane mode on, and the exact same problems still happened. So a summary of this: this audio/charger combo is a failure.
My 3rd plug I decided to try a normal headphone to aux plug again like the first except this time by a better brand, Griffin. But oh wait, the exact same problem happened that the first one had.
Ok guys, so what I really want for you to do for me is PLEASE HELP ME FIND A GOOD CAR PLUG FOR MY iPHONE.
Here is what I am looking for in my plug:
Plays music through my car's speakers AND charges at the same time;
I would prefer if it wasn't an FM transmitter because those tend to lose audio quality compared to direct plugins, unless you know of an amazing FM transmitter where you don't lose audio quality;
And finally, I want my plug to ACTUALLY WORK WITHOUT GLITCHES
Also, it would be nice if the plug that you refer to me, you actually own, so I know that you have tested it out before and that it works great.

After a lot of comparing, looking and price checking, I decided to go with the Alpine IDA-X100. This is a media player only device (no cd player built in) and it has been great. It has an awesome interface and dial setup that let's you go through your music just as if it were on an iPod. It even has a small color screen that displays the album artwork for you. My car has a factory BOSE system in it and the Alpine head unit even managed to improve the sound quality. Go see you local alpine dealer (or best buy) and check it out. The supplied cable charges the phone and plays music too. Your iPhone will give you an error message when you plug it in, saying that the accessory was not designed for iPhone, but if you just click no it works great. -

It was never free for the 3GS.
It is if the initial sign-up is done on an iPhone 4, iPad or iPod touch 4th gen.

Steps to be done to remove the device from the previous owner's iCloud Account, if you have already done this things then there might be something that you might have missed due to which the iPhone is still showing the Find My iPhone Activation Lock screen.

If the previous owner is with you and can access the device
Ask them to enter their Apple ID and password on the Activate iPhone screen (shown above) to remove the device from their account. You can then proceed through the rest of the device setup process.
If the previous owner is not present

Sign in to their iCloud account at www.icloud.com/find.
Choose the device from their Find My iPhone device list by clicking All Devices and selecting the correct device.
Click "Remove from Account" to remove the device from the account.
After the device has been removed from the previous owner’s account, turn it off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button located on the top right side of the device. Then restart your device and proceed with device setup as you would normally. -
I have a new macbook and i want to make it my new home for my iphone, as well as transfer all the items on the iphone. i already removed and deauthorized everything from my old computer.
1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

Udev: add mountpoints for removable devices
Yet another solution to the removable devices problem.
After a minor system overhaul I finally decided to get rid of a bunch of static mountpoints I had in /mnt. I checked Arch wiki, and what I saw there, well, raised some questions. I mean, it's udev, it's not supposed to be pretty, but pmount with a fixed user, as a recommended solution? Ugh.
So I came up with a perl script that modifies /etc/fstab dynamically and creates mountpoints under /mnt, but doesn't actually mount anything. This way user mounts do not require any specific handling, and overall it looks nice and simple.
To my slight surprise I couldn't find any good scripts that would do this even outside of the wiki (which is strange, btw, because the solution is obvious), so I decided to put it here. Maybe I'm not the only one who thinks auto-mounting is never a good thing.

Well, yeah. I'm not a big fan of the current udev implementation, but this time it all worked very well.
As for the man page, well, it's not really set in stone. Ok, I admit I didn't read it, in Arch at least, but anyway, there must be reasons to call it static. mount is a simple tool, it's clear how it works, that's the only file it reads, and I see no intrinsic features in mount that would require fstab to be static. I'd say it's more of an self-imposed challenge to treat it as static, and not a necessity. At least for current implementation of mount, and current format of fstab, with "user", "users" etc.
Also, the kludgy automount suggestions on the udev page - pmount with fixed user ZOMG - are deprecated now in favour of udisks-based setups.
Maybe it should be removed then, or at least clearly labeled as deprecated?
Because when you read the page, it comes as a suggested solution. And udisks, well, I skipped that section at all, partly because it was above "Auto mounting USB devices", and party because it talks about KDE, Gnome and automounting.
Oh, and btw: I've just noticed that the fixed user in that example is "tomk" ;-)

Somewhat off-topic, but /etc/fstab is one of the least critical files in the system, and one of the easiest to fix.
I didn't check with the current version, but if I'd was unable to boot without fstab, I'd call it a bug in initscripts.

Well, I'm reading about udisks now, and the problem is, when I want a wheel, I want a wheel, not a Segway.
I like my system to be simple (arch way and all), while this thing wants d-bus, polkit, some frontends and org.freedesktop.stuff.die.must.java style configuration variables just to be able to type "mount /mnt/sda1". Easy, maybe, for a given values of "easy"; simple, anything but. -
My itunes can not upgrade. it is looking for athe Itunes.MSI file, but it is unable to find it on the C:drive. How do I correct the error, and reinstall Itune for my Iphone, Ipad and Ipod?
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

I remove the password generated by yahoo for my iphone and mail is still active!
I installed 'second sign-in verification' on my Yahoo! account, and then generated a password for my iPhone.
First strange thing after that is that my yahoo mail account was still working. I removed the yahoo account and re-installed it and this time I had to use the password generated by Yahoo.
Now if you loose your iPhone, Yahoo explains that you should sign on to your PC or Mac and remove this generated password so no one can access your mail on your stolen or lost iPhone ( that's what I installed 'second sign-in verification' ). So I gave it a try, removed it from Yahoo but my Yahoo account on my iPhone is STILL ACTIVE!!! I can send and receive messages, no problem at all.
So your yahoo account is absolutely not protected. This is a major security problem. Please help.s it possible for apple to provide me with the last coordinates that my phone was at?

I have iCloud for my iPhone, my daughters iphone and 2 of my ipads and have purchased the max amount of storage I can but still get a message saying i don't have enough space to store anymore. Do I need to put each device on their own account?

I have downloaded every update and my battery life is better than any previous iPhone I have ever owned. I see posts from hundreds of people every day, and this is not a commonly reported problem. While there are a few random reports of battery problems, it is no more than I have seen for any other model or any other version of iOS in almost 8 years. Usually problems of rapid battery drain can be traced to bad apps (FaceBook is the worst offender) or corrupt data being synced from iCloud or other sources (gmail, Windows Live, Yahoo, etc).
The simple test is to restore the phone as New. Do not create any email accounts. Do not install any apps. Do not enable FaceTime or iMessage. Do not enable Twitter or any other social networking app. Use it for a day and check the battery usage. You will find that it is working well.

I forgot my password for my iphone. I tried clearing it on the computer, it wouldn't do it because I need to turn Find my Iphone off. Not an option, my phone is locked! Then I tried to remote sweep it from find my iphone online. But my phone is offline, and it won't go online because my phone is disabled! Please help me fix this!

I would like to add:
you have incompatible software: start in SafeMode, read Woodmeister and see if it is free of issues.
Akamai is crap software needed or not, Huawei the same.
It is very possible that the keygenerator you used for generating a key for some softwares has infected your mac.
The non-regular software with the false key(s) are not compatible probably or generate malware. Luckily you can not update them automatically because the keygenerator blocked the software for contacting the developer... I propose to consider getting rid of those softwares by really good uninstalling.
You have a beautiful mac, don't degenerate it with crapped software. There are alternatives for expensive software, for example Adobe Photoshop has a free alternative (with a less beautiful interface) in GIMP. And so on.
