Removed device still exist in Intune console

Hi,
I used one phone to test Windows Intune. After some time I removed Intune account from device (Workplace) and after that did command in Intune portal "Retire device". Now, this device shows status "This device is in the process of retiring. Once
complete, this device's status will no longer appear in the Windows Intune administrator console." and I cannot force manually delete.
Is it possible to manually force deletion?

You shouldn't have removed the company account from the device manually. Retiring the device in the Intune console would have automatically done that for you. Now you are in Limbo. Intune is trying to retire the device but cannot contact it. I don't know
how long it will keep trying before it gives up. If you are concerned you could contact Intune support and they will be able to remove the device from Intune for you.
You will find your local number here

  • The info of removed device still in the device list

    I switched from an iPhone 5s to an iPhone 6.
    I signed out my account from my old iPhone 5s and erased it. And my father is using it and the iPhone 5s is signed in now with my father's Apple ID.
    However, I can see in the iCloud Settings on iCloud.com that my iPhone 5s is somehow still signed in with my Apple ID.
    Can somebody please help me with this, thank you so much!

    you posted in the wrong forum, this is the Keynote discussion

  • How do I remove device from icloud it was traded in and wiped but still listed as a device

    I Traded in my iPhone 5 at Verizon store on 9/20 for the iPhone 6 and watched the phone being wiped before heading home with new phone. However, when I checked icloud.com today it still shows the device in device list. Tried a find my phone but all that shows up is my iPhone 6 & iPad. Any idea how to remove device from iCloud!

    The songs I don't want aren't checked and haven't been for a long time. You would think that would be the answer, but it isn't for some reason.Nothing has taken the songs away. Songs that I have deleted from iTunes and even the computer still stayed on the phone as well as songs that were NOT checked. In addition to albums I have NEVER downloaded... unless many, many, years ago and have no recolection of it. And they are NOT in my iTunes library or stored on the computer. And I don't have iTunes match. I've also restored the iPhone this afternoon. Still have the songs! And I haven't even signed into iCloud since the restore... which I lost all of my recent contacts during, but that was my fault for not checking to make sure I synced them before restoring.

  • Purchased a 2nd hand iPhone - unable to set up as it displays as associated with prior owners email - he has removed device from his account but still won't let me complete set up. Any advice on next steps?

    Display shows previous owner set up find my phone function & it is linked to their apple account. Owner has removed device from a/c but
    it still won't allow me to proceed with set up.

    Hello Penng185,
    Steps to be done to remove the device from the previous owner's iCloud Account, if you have already done this things then there might be something that you might have missed due to which the iPhone is still showing the Find My iPhone Activation Lock screen.
    Resolution : http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4515
    If the previous owner is with you and can access the device
    Ask them to enter their Apple ID and password on the Activate iPhone screen (shown above) to remove the device from their account. You can then proceed through the rest of the device setup process.
    If the previous owner is not present
    Contact them and ask them to follow these steps to remove the device from their account:
    Sign in to their iCloud account at www.icloud.com/find.
    Choose the device from their Find My iPhone device list by clicking All Devices and selecting the correct device.
    Click "Remove from Account" to remove the device from the account.
    After the device has been removed from the previous owner’s account, turn it off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button located on the top right side of the device. Then restart your device and proceed with device setup as you would normally.

  • Users still exist after on POA after removing them from eDir

    Hello All,
    I created a test PO/POA to add in 5000 users to test some load issues. when the test was done i ran a tool to have the users removed however it only removed the eDirectory Account, the users still exist in the POA. I tried to rebuild the POA however, that did not help.
    Is there a way to have all the users removed? i can evenm part with removing the entire PO if needed.
    the only way i can see currently is delete the user one by one from C1.

    Install the good old API gateway and write an API that first lists then
    rewrite that results to an API that removes the GW accounts.

  • Does a listener still exist after its target object MC has been removed?

    Hi,
    I have just a question about as3.0 programming (I suppose it
    is the same for AS 2.0):
    When a MovieClip is removed from the display list (either by
    removeChild method or directly from within the stage from the
    timeline), if listeners are running and attached to that object,
    are they also removed, or do I have to remove them explicitly?
    if yes, for a proper programming, I suppose that I have to
    program a listener for the UNLOAD Event whose function will remove
    all attached listeners, don't I?

    quote:
    It is called the DISPLAYlist and not the EXISTENCElist for a
    reason. :)
    => yes sure :)
    quote:
    being eligible for garbage collection (gc) means it will be
    removed from existence when memory usage of your swf increase
    "enough" to trigger gc.
    => ok, I understand, but is there not any way to invoke
    gc, to trigger it manually?
    If you retake my example above, "playing!" seems to display
    indefinetely, so it means that gc has not been triggered which may
    be normal because memory hasn't increase dbut it is not handy
    because the code in the clip supposed to be removed is still
    running (even when clip is set to null). I persist and still don't
    think it is normal :)
    But I will study a lot more as 3.0, I think I should find an
    answer in the interesting Colin Moock's book I am currently
    reading, I am just at the beginning.
    Thanks for your help!

  • The Bug about 'DB_SECONDARY_BAD' still exists in BerkeleyDB4.8!

    The Bug about 'DB_SECONDARY_BAD' still exists in BerkeleyDB4.8?
    I'm sorry for my poor English, But I just cannot find anywhere else for help.
    Thanks for your patience first!
    I'm using BDB4.8 C++ API on Ubuntu 10.04, Linux Kernel 2.6.32-24-generic
    $uname -a
    $Linux wonpc 2.6.32-24-generic #43-Ubuntu SMP Thu Sep 16 14:17:33 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux
    When I update(overwrite) a record in database, I may get a DB_SECONDARY_BAD exception,
    What's worse, This case doesn't always occures, it's random. So I think it probably a bug
    of BDB, I have seen many issues about DB_SECONDARY_BAD with BDB4.5,4.6...
    To reproduce the issue, I make a simplified test program from my real program.
    The data to be stroed into database is a class called 'EntryData', It's defined in db_access.h,
    where also defines some HighLevel API functions that hide the BDB calls, such as
    store_entry_data(), which use EntryData as its argument. The EntryData have a string-type
    member-data 'name' and a vector<string>-type mem-data 'labels', So store_entry_data() will
    put the real data of EntryData to a contiguous memory block. The get_entry_data() returns
    an EntryData builed up from the contiguous memory block fetched from database.
    The comlete test program is post following this line:
    /////////db_access.h////////////
    #ifndef __DB_ACCESS_H__

    Great thanks to you if you've read and understood my code!
    I've said that the DB_SECONDARY_BAD exception is random. The same operation may cause
    exception in one time and may goes well in another time.
    As I've test below:
    ## Lines not started with '$' is the stdout or stderr.
    $ ./test_put linux os linus
    $ ./test_update linux -r os
    Old data| name: linux; labels: os linus
    New data| name: linux; labels: linus
    $ ./test_update linux -r linus
    Old data| name: linux; labels: linus
    New data| name: linux; labels:
    dbfile_bynam: DB_SECONDARY_BAD: Secondary index inconsistent with primary
    Db::put: DB_SECONDARY_BAD: Secondary index inconsistent with primary
    terminate called after throwing an instance of 'DbException'
    what(): Db::put: DB_SECONDARY_BAD: Secondary index inconsistent with primary
    已放弃
    Look! I've received a DB_SECONDARY_BAD exception. But thus exception does not always
    happen even under the same operation.
    For the exception is random, you may have not the "luck" to get it during your test.
    So let's insert a record by:
    $ ./test_put t
    and then give it a great number of labels:
    $ for((i = 0; i != 100; ++i)); do ./test_update t -a "label_$i"; done
    and then:
    $ for((i = 0; i != 100; ++i)); do ./test_update t -r "label_$i"; done
    Thus, the DB_SECONDARY_BAD exception is almost certain to happen.
    I've been confused by the problem for times. I would appreciate if someone can solve
    my problem.
    Many thanks!

  • Every once in a while when I open my mail or a page I get nothing but strange lines of symbols.  Many of the symbols are black triangles with question marks in the center.  I completely reset it like new, but problem still exists

    Every once in a while when I open my mail or open a page I get lines of strange symbols like black triangles with question marks in the center.  I have reset the ipad2 to new condition but the problem still exists.

    A reset does not make tthe iPad "like new."
    First, let's ensure that we agree on just what is a Reset...
    Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
    If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
    At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
    If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • Bug #18104 still exists

    Hello,
    I am quite disappointed about BDB 5. One of the most nasty bugs (#18104) still
    exists. As soon as you want to use the set_thread_count() feature, BDB will not
    free the thread-control-block. If you connect/disconnect, BDB will stop working
    quite early. You can re-produce this issue with any `db_*` tool.
    The testcase:
    #include <stdlib.h>
    #include <db.h>
    #define DIRECTORY "/tmp/db"
    int main()
        /* open environment */
        DB_ENV *handle;
        int status = db_env_create( &handle, 0 );
        status = handle->set_cachesize( handle, 0, 32*1024*1024, 0 );
        status = handle->set_thread_count( handle, 0x100 );
        status = handle->open( handle, DIRECTORY, DB_CREATE, 0644 );
        if( status != 0 )
            return 1;
        /* raise error "Unable to allocate thread control block" */
        for( ;; )
            system( "db_stat -e -h " DIRECTORY " | grep process/thread | wc" );
        return 0;
    }

    Hi Sandra,
    Hi Greg,
    Our architecture is quite simple: a cron-job runs ENV->failchk() and ENV->txn_checkpoint()
    once a minute (which should be fine, shouldn't it?)
    The problem, neither ENV->close() nor ENV->failchk() removes outdated items from the
    thread-control-block. One would expect, that the PID is added to the block as soon as the
    process connects and removed when the process disconnects. But it is not.
    If the block runs out of memory, BDB requires a recovery (see the down below testcase).
    Usually ENV->failchk() cleans the thread-control-block, as soon as there are more items in
    the block than "thread_count". Today three times it did not even remove them, if there were
    more than "thread_count" items in the block - but this happend sporadic so it was difficult
    to create a testcase.
    Once ENV->failchk() cleans the thread-control-block, BDB works as expected. If a process
    connects, the PID is added to the block, and as soon as the process disconnects, the PID is
    removed from the thread-control-block. You can test this by looping the first loop 1090 times.
    The testcase:
    #include <stdio.h>
    #include <stdlib.h>
    #include <signal.h>
    #include <db.h>
    #include <errno.h>
    #define DIRECTORY "/tmp/db"
    static int bdb_is_alive( DB_ENV *dbenv, pid_t pid, db_threadid_t tid, u_int32_t flags )
        int status;
        status = kill( pid, 0 );
        if( status != -1 )
            return 1;
        if( errno == ESRCH )
            return 0;
        exit( 1 );  /* should never happen */
    int main()
        system( "mkdir -p " DIRECTORY );
        system( "db_recover -h " DIRECTORY );
        system( "rm -rfv " DIRECTORY "/*" );
        /* open environment */
        int status, i;
        DB_ENV *handle;
        status = db_env_create( &handle, 0 );
        status = handle->set_cachesize( handle, 0, 32*1024*1024, 0 );
        status = handle->set_thread_count( handle, 1091 );
        status = handle->set_isalive( handle, bdb_is_alive );
        status = handle->open( handle, DIRECTORY, DB_CREATE, 0644 );
        if( status != 0 )
            return 1;   /* should never happen */
        status = handle->failchk( handle, 0 );
        status = handle->close( handle, 0 );
        /* Now start workers (`db_stat`) + failchks() */

    Error when opening iTunes : iTunes has stopped working '' A problem caused the program to stop working correctly''.
    When I repaired damaged files the problem still exists and also after uninstalling, redownloading and reinstalling iTunes.
    My pc is working with windos 8.
    Is there a solution?

    Hey there Rodney274,
    It sounds like you are getting an error from iTunes when you launch it. I would try the troubleshooting in this article named:
    iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1717
    Start with troubleshooting for 3rd party plug ins section, then the rest of the article if needed:
    Start iTunes in Safe Mode
    Open iTunes in Safe Mode to isolate any interference from plug-ins or scripts not manufactured by Apple.
    Hold down Shift–Control while opening iTunes. You should see a dialog that says "iTunes is running in safe mode" before iTunes finishes starting up.
    Click Continue.
    See if the issue you're experiencing persists in Safe Mode.
    If you have the same issue while iTunes is in Safe Mode, proceed to the "Create a new user account" section. If you don't experience the same issue, follow these steps to remove third-party plug-ins.
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • I deleted all the music on my iPhone, but all the albums still exist. How do I clear and add a fresh batch of music?

    I deleted all the music on my iPhone, but all the album artwork still exist. How do I clear and add a fresh batch of music?  Also my iTunes no longer recognizes my iPhone under the "devices" tab so I am unable to manually sync. I have disconnected it makes a beep sound when reconnected so I know my computer is finding the phone, the iPhone also appears on Explorer. Stupid question but I can't figure it out and wasting too much time.  Thank you.

    It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.  Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new one.
    If for some reason you have failed to backup, big mistake, then you can transfer itunes purchases from the iphone to the computer:  File>Transfer Purchases
    You may be able to buy a 3rd party program to get any other music off of the iphone ( not supported by Apple).
    When you sync the iphone, it will erase the current content and replace with content form the new computer.
    "Not happy with itunes right now, more then a bit of a joke"
    Not itunes fault that you did not do the very basics and maintain a backup copy.

  • Forbide - Mobile Removable Devices / Media Removable Devices

    Hi everyone!
    I have a problem about IT-security.
    In our company we are using Windows 7 Professional/Enterprise Edition.
    We could easily block/forbid using of Storage Devices such as Pen Drives, USB-Flash Drives, SD-Cards via USB port on a Software Level, but we couldn't block/forbid using of
    Mobile Removable Devices / Media Removable Devices such as Mobile Phones, SmartPhones, Tablets, MP3 Plyaers!
    When you connect SmartPhone to PC via USB cable, it is detected as Removable Device (NOT as a Storage Device!) and can be easily used for copying Information from PC.
    The question is : "Is it possible to block/forbid Mobile Removable Devices / Media Removable Devices via USB on a Software level, without disable USB ports in BIOS?" Any solution(personal PC configuration or Group Policy) would be
    great.
    Hope for your help!
    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Hi Aziz,
    Before going further, sorry for the late response. I was on holiday on those days.
    >>Is it possible to deny Mobile Removable Devices / Media Removable Devices by a group policy?
    Yes, it is.
    On a DC, create a new GPO or find an existing GPO. Then edit the setting in the GPO, and link the GPO to the target scope (site, domain, OU).
    Note: if we configure the setting under Computer Configuration, it applies to computers,
    regardless of who logs on to the computers. While if we configure the setting under User Configuration, it applies to users, regardless of which computer they log on to.
    In addition, regarding how to create, edit, and link a GPO, the following articles can be referred to for more information.

  • Locks to KM files created long time ago still exist

    It was found in our portal that locks to some KM files still exist after one year has passed.
    I understand that I can unlock the file one by one. My questions are:
    1. How to unlock all of the files in one shot? I tried to just unlock the
    whole folder but it seems it does not work. The only way I found is
    either to unlock them one by one or run the resource report which can
    unlock all the locked files.
    2. What is the possible reason that those locks still exist after one
    year of the lock creation time and what is the step we can take to
    prevent this from happening again?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    You can use the [Resource Locks Report|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/a4d14030490b06e10000000a155106/frameset.htm] to unlock all the locked files in a given scope.
    It will be available in Content Administration -> KM Content -> Tool Box-> Reports
    I dont think locks will be removed even after 1 year without doing any thing to unlock
    The lock may remain. Also we cannot have a permission only to lock/unlock a resource.
    We can by the way remove the lock command from a specific KM Layout.
