Removed my ipod too soon how do i refresh my ipod forget where info is in manual

i removed my ipod too soon and lost all my songs except one how do i refresh it to make it work again I cant find it in manual

If the shuffle's storage has data corruption, you should do a Restore.  The Restore button is on the shuffle's Summary screen in iTunes.  This will erase the shuffle, re-install its software, and set it to default settings.  You can then set it up to sync or load it manually from your iTunes library, as desired.
If you are asking about how to load content on an empty shuffle, please post back.

  • Unplugged ipod too soon, now can't do anything

Help, we are completely new to the world of ipods. My son just purchased the 30 mb ipod. Had installed itunes and everything was going fine, but then unplugged it before it said it was OK to disconnect. Now he can't do anything. Tried to restore and got the can't mount ipod error. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My husband is afraid he has fried the entire unit. Sure do hope not. I've been trying to find a phone number in this website to call for help, but can't find anyone to call. We're desperate!!!

Apple's contact list is crap (sorry).
Actually, just hit contact us at the bottom of every page and then the click a link for this list of phone numbers...
    Apple Phone Numbers
It wasn't your son's fault; My iPod is doing pretty
    much the same thing,
Actually, disconnecting the iPod when it says not to can create hardware or software problems.
    It's a
big problem now for Windows users.
Actually, most iPod owners are using windows and it works fine for them.
Don't forget, just because you are having problems with your iPod does not mean the whole world is. This issue was caused by disconnecting the iPod early and has nothing to do with being a windows user or a mac user.

  • Backup files on PC becomes too big, how to delete files not needed and where to delete them?

I used iTune to manage iPhone and iPad. iTune will back up content of both devices. I found that recently the backup files become too many and used up a significant amount of my PC harddisk. How do I go about to delete old backup files to release harddisk space? Thanks.

Backups for iPods, iPhones, and iPads are fairly small in size... 60-70mb approximately.
I seriously doubt they are filling your hard drive or using a significant amount of space.
You can remove backups via iTunes
    Edit > Preferences > Devices
Select the backup or backups and delete them.

How do I add an second device to my iTunes account?

Just plug it and sync it however you like.  How you sync one device has no affect on another and there is no limit to the number of iPods, iPads, or iPhones you can sync to one computer, iTunes library, or account.

  • IOS 6.1 destroyed my iPod touch. How can I restore my iPod touch?

I got a push notification about the new release for ios 6.1 and I did the update. After the update my ipod cut off. I assume that is normal but every time I try to cut it on, it either gets stuck on the apple logo or goes to a multi colored screen. Is this a easy fix or do I need to buy a new Ipod?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • How to close my lossing ipod touch?, how to close my lossing ipod touch?, how to close my lossing ipod touch?

i wanted to close it so whoever gets it no one its gonna use it.

    Can't be done.
Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod.  If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number).  If any passwords are associated with a bank or any other savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief.  All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself.  This requires action before the device is lost/stolen.  If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

  • My daughter forgot her password for her IPOD so now it is locked and it's saying connect to itunes but when i bring the account it say the ipod is locked  how do I get her ipod unlocked

hi can anyone help me with this?

Restore, if iTunes will let you.  Everything except the password will be restored.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  Be forewarned that it takes a long time.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • How do I stop iTunes from forgetting where my NAS is ?

I have a Synology DS411j on which I keep all my music, I use a Mac Mini in the lounge as a player with no keyboard or mouse other than an iPad via bluetooth and the Remote app to control iTunes. iTunes is set to boot automatically, but always defaults back to the local path on startup as iTunes seems to boot before the NAS is available. I then have to repoint iTunes at the NAS directory, and wait while it restores the library every time I start the computer.
Surely there is a way around this ? I have seem some other threads, but the closest solution seems to be for another internal drive, not an external NAS.
I would be grateful for any suggestions - hopefully explained in terms a new Mac user would understand.
    Thanks

I feel you pain helenavid, i save my podcasts so i can listen to then in large batches, but because of this strange logic of discontinuing the subscribtion i lost one of the podcasts episodes, and i an annoyed at that, especially since i will be going away for a month at christmas time and i really dont want to come back and find that i can not get several weeks of podcast.

    Hello BigFanOfApple,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iPod classic.  In most cases, the sad iPod icon indicates a hardware issue.  I recommend reviewing the following article:

  • How do I reset my Ipod if the passcode that was put on it was entered wrong too many times and it disables the ipod?

My son put a passcode on his IPOD TOUCH and couldnt remember it and entered it too many times. Now it has disabled the Ipod and says please connect to ITunes and ITunes will not connect to it because it has been disabled, I have already spoke to an Apple representative and did exactly what they told me to do to help reset the Ipod but that didnt work. So I am trying to figure out how we can get back into his IPod even if we have to factory reset it because nothing is working, not their instructions or the internet instructions for reseting it.

  • Authorized device was erased. Downloaded iTunes. Says my iPod is already synced to a library. Where do I access that library and how do i get it back on iTunes? I tried manually move songs in disk mode. Bunch of data on ipod, how to remove?

One of my authorized devices was erased. I downloaded iTunes. Says my iPod is already synced to a library. It will allow me transfer purchased songs but not songs I had that were downloaded off of my CD's. Where do I access that library and how do i get it back on iTunes? I tried manually move songs in disk mode. Now I have a bunch of data on ipod and I don't know how to remove it. It basically copied all my itunes files from my C drive onto ipod in my efforts to move the library.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive.  It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas?  I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.
