Removed password want to remember new one

I had to remove the password for my Gmail account because Firefox would not remember the new password. Now, not only does it not remember the new password, it doesn't appear to remember the old username. I have to fill in each time, after deleting my OTHER username and password (one is a business email, the other personal). How can I get Firefox to remember the username and password again, once removed?
== This happened ==
Every time Firefox opened
== someone hacked my email acct and sent a virus link to others today

Yes, I did exactly that. Now when I go into Gmail, it autofills my personal acct info and password, and I have to physically type over with the business username and password. So that didn't work for me. It used to allow me to click in the blank username field and then choose from the two account names. When I chose one, it would autofill the password. How do I get it to resume doing that?

You can't use the IMEI number for tracking it, you can only potentially do that if you had Find My iPhone enabled on it - if you did then you can try locating it via http://icloud.com or the Find My iPhone app on another iOS device.
For the IMEI number, do you have you got the phone's box or have a backup of the phone on your computer's iTunes : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4061 ?
If it was stolen then you should report it to the police. You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

You need to go to the website of your email provider, only there can you change your password, or let them send you a new one to a different address. Thunderbird can't help you with that.

    Sorry, have I misunderstood you?
If you have forgotten your password, then how did you create a new password? You cannot simply "create a new password" after forgetting the original one.
How would you get into the account so that you could change it?

  • Do I need to remove old drivers before installing new ones (Windows XP)

I have an  Acer Aspire 3690 laptop with Windows XP home edition installed. I've reinstalled the OS by using recovery tool, updated it again. I want to finish setting my laptop up by updating some drivers, mainly chipset and GPU. I've already found that newer ones are availabe. But do I need remove the old drivers first to avoid any problems in the future? Or do I just run the setup executable of every driver?

Run the setup and check if the new one are installed; if not remove the old drivers and install the new.

  • Time Machine wont mount backup, wants to create new one.

I'm running OSX Lion 10.7 on an iMac 27 with an intel i5 2.7 GHz processor.
I received a notification that Time Machine wasn't backing up.
Somehow the external backup drive became disassociated with TM. So I re-selected it and TM began preparing for a backup. A few moments late a warning popped up stating there was not enough space on the disk to complete the backup.
I entered Time Machine to free up space however, TM had created a new backup file and now it won't mount the original one. I've tried deleting the new backup file, hoping TM would mount the original, but it just keeps creating new ones.
I noticed the new backup file name was different to the original. After looking in to it further, it appears as if this was due to some changes I'd made in my file sharing settings, a couple weeks back, while trying to download some photos from am Android phone. I changed the name back, however, TM still want's to create a new file and still won't mount the original.
The last time it successfully backed up was Oct 30th and the good news is, I can manually open the original backup file in Finder, and see all the old files.
I've read through a number of trouble shooting sites and I've already checked for and installed all updates with no luck.
I really could use some help with this. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

No, I don't think playing around with the sparsebundle is very good idea ever.
If you are now down to that level. Move the old sparsebundle off the TC. Either delete the whole thing and start over.. or save it beforehand.
It is possible to archive off the old sparsebundle, although it is pointless if it is corrupted.
You can copy it to a USB drive on the computer.
    See Q18 here. http://pondini.org/TM/FAQ.html
That will take a long long time so be warned.. and do it with ethernet.. otherwise it will take forever.
You can also do the archive directly to USB disk plugged into the TC. You need a hard disk at least as large as the data.
And you will need to use v5.6 airport utility because Apple deleted it in the new version.
If you run Mountain Lion (Lion is easy) you can download it and install by a trick.
That will then give you access to archive and you can use that to save the present hard disk info.. then erase it and start over.
How to load 5.6 into ML.
    1. Download 5.6 for Lion.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1482
Click to open the dmg but do not attempt to install the pkg.. it won't work anyway.
    2. Download and install unpkg.
    http://www.timdoug.com/unpkg/
Run unpkg on the desktop.. it is very simple.. drag the AirPortUtility56.pkg file over to unpkg.. and it will create a new directory of the same name on the desktop.. drill down.. applications utilities .. there lo and behold is Airport utility 5.6 .. drag it to your main utilities directory or just run it from current location.
You cannot uninstall 6.1 (now 6.2 if you updated) so don't try.. and you cannot or should not run them both at the same time.. so just ignore the toyland version.. the plastic hammer.. and start using 5.6.. a real tool.
For screen shots see this post.

  • When i create a new apple id and after agree the terms it will show that ask to enter email adress and password when i enter new one it do not want to accept

    please help me

Are you entering your Existing Email Address for which you have Access and also are you Entering the Password which Matches Apple Requirement ?
Enter the Email Address that you already have (like Gmail, Yahoo, MSN, Live, etc) but you have never used it for creating Apple ID before.
Passwork Requirement is Minimum 8 Characters, Alpha Numeric and Password should Content atleast 1 Upper Case and 1 Lower Case Letter. You will find the more detail on the same page when Creating Apple Id and iTunes will give you Error if the Password you enter does not match their requirement.

  • I am unable to burn CDs with songs recently purchased from itunes. No problem before. When I try to burn a playlist with new songs, I get the error message that "songs will not it on 1 audio CD". If I remove all songs except the new one, it will burn.

I am unable to burn CD's with the last 4 songs I've purchased from the iTunes store. I can burn CD's from playlist using previously purchased songs with no problem. With a normal length playlist including 1 of the newly purchased songs, I get the message "songs will not fit on one CD". I can remove all but the new song and 1 other and the CD will burn. I have upgraded to the latest version of iTunes and still have the problem.

I have that EXACT same problem! I have no idea what to do though, but it is very mucho frustrating. Let me know if you find out anything, and I will do the same.

    Hi skippy2012trev,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you updated your Apple Id and password but now you are being prompted for the old information in iCloud. You are on the right track by changing the Apple ID back to the previous email address temporarily so that you can sign out. You should not need to verify the email address. After you edit the Apple ID back to the old email address and then sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, edit the Apple ID back to the address you would currently like to use. There is no need to change the password again, only the email address, unless you prefer to update the password again.
If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud - Apple Support
    Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.
    Cheers,
    Joe

  • An old apple id is on my iPhone how do i remove and put in my new one

my iPhone has an old Apple ID on it and I need to remove it from my iPhone so I can update my phone with new Apple ID

If you’re seeing it when you’re updating an application, delete and redownload that application.
If you’re seeing it at an activation lock screen, either the person who set the lock needs to remove it or the device’s original owner needs to ask Apple to do so.

  • Using Yosemite My incoming mail server changes by itself and means I can't access my email. When I go to preferences the new incoming mail server is greyed out. I then have to remove the accounts and get new ones.

Using Mail with Yosemite 10.10.2.The incoming mail server keeps changing by itself and means I can't access my mail. I  go to preferences and find that the new incoming server is greyed out .  I then have to remove the accounts and then add them again with the correct server. The incoming server which is greyed out is imap.gmail.com

Try Mail/Preferences/Accounts - select the account, then go to Advanced and deselect "Automatically detect and maintain account settings".

  • Password lock to get new one???

It wont unlock and keeps disabling so is there an way to switch my password without going to setings on my ipod?? I need help to find a way to get into it to change my password cause it wont except my password???

If you have a passcode to the screen lock that you've forgotten, restore the device from the computer to which the device is synced. For information and instructions, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
If that will not work, you'll need to put the device into Recovery Mode and then try the Restore again:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
If your device is running iOS 7 and you set up Find My iPhone (iPad/iPod),  you'll need to enter in your Apple ID and password to activate the device after restoring:
