Removing a JDI Installation

What steps should be taken to completely remove a JDI installation?  We installed the JDI in our dev environment and would like to remove the installation from our sandbox environment.  Will undeploying the SCA's in the SDM do the trick or are more steps required?  Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Wally Bennett

You can remove the JDI installables by undeploying JDI sca's using SDM. If you still face issue, please mail me...

    Hi,
    1. We can remove modules after installation? No.
    2. Is it better way to make new installation (Imagine fonctional is already work more than 2 months,if we make new instalaltion its mean we lose 2 months)It would be making a fresh installation or restoring from a backup to a point before this module was licensed.
    3. If we can remove it can affect other module setups? There is no direct and supported way to achieve this. However, you may log a SR and see if Oracle can help about this.

  • How do I remove the Yosemite installer from a hard drive?

I have an older model MacPro with two drives: one running Lion with FCP studio so that I can access legacy projects, and one on which I installed Yosemite to use FCPX. Unfortunately I used the Lion drive to download Yosemite, so when I item to boot to it I only get the Yosemite installer. Anyone know how to get rid of that? I removed the file but it still tries to start the installer instead of booting. Everything is still there on the Lion drive (II can see it from the Yosemite drive) but it will not boot. Also enabled the debug menu and checked show all partitions but that didn't help.
    Thanks!

  • I cannot install either iTunes 10.5 or QuickTime 7.7 after having removed the previous installation of both softwares from my Win 7 64 bits.

Hi folks. I hope someone can help me out.
I had iTunes 10.4 and QuickTime Player 7.7 running pretty well on my notebook (a Dell Vostro 3550 with Win 7 Pro 64-bits) and followed many of the pieces of advice on how to upgrade to iTunes 10.5, including uninstalling all Apple software from my computer and trying to install them again from the very beginning.
First, I tried to uninstall/remove all Apple Softwares as suggested on the post http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923. But I was not able to remove the Apple softwares through ContolPanel -> Software -> Uninstall/Repair/Remove. The softwares removal stops due to "lack" of  Admin access permission to certain keys in Windows registry: xxx/Unistaller/Media, etc. I got this message trying to remove iTunes, QuickTime, AppleSoftwareUpdate, AppleMobileDeviceSupport. I can assure you that I do have Admin privileges on my notebook and I also shut down any protection tool (Win Firewall, Norton 350, etc.) that might be running during the softwares removal. None of the solutions seemed to work, but I could recover my previous installation of iTunes 10.4 and QuickTime 7.7 and got them running just fine.
Then I tried to uninstall iTunes and QuickTime using the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility and the Fix It Utility (http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall) as also suggested on one of the many posts I have read in Apple Communities. The softwares were all removed, however, even by getting the new installation packages of iTunes 10.5 and QuickTime 7.7 from Apple's web sute, I can't install any of them. I tried to do it with previous versions too, but nothing seems to work. And now, I can't even recover my previous installations of iTunes and QuickTime. I simply cannot have iTunes installed on my notebook.
It seems the only way to sort it out is reinstalling Win 7 and all other applications I have from the very beginning, which is a nightmare and will take days.
Any suggestions? I couldn't have any info from Apple Tech Support untill now.

what if they are turned off?  I cannot install iTunes or QuickTime Pro 7 on my WIN7/64 Lenovo W520. ran all the repair cycles uninstalls, reinstalls about 10X each, no luck

  • Remove Mac OSX installation from external disk

    Hello,
I installed an extra max osx installation on an external disk. So i can starup from my HD or my ext disk depending on my start up disk choice. Everything works fine. Unfortunately i installed it in a partition with a lot off backup files in it, instead of creating a new partition dedicated only to the OS. I was wondering if there is a clean way of removing this installation without completely formatting the ext.disk again, so that i don't loose my data.
    Thanks

I hope you don't mind my jumping in. AFAIK, dumping the OS X files isn't a simple process because many of it's files and folders are hidden. It appears that the ext HD has more than one partition. If so, move your data to the other, then you can erase the partition, removing all of OS X's stuff. However, doing that looses your bootable backup. Details WRT to the HD, its size, number of partitions, how much used and free space, etc. should help to determine a strategy that saves the data and also provides for a bootable backup.

  • JDI installation on ep7 sp9 , aix

    Hi all:
We would like to some some customization on leave request on ESS in ep7.
We want to install JDI server for EP7, sp9.
During EP installation, we did not install JDI.
Can we install JDI server independently ? Where can we find install files ? Where can we find installation guide ?
       Thanks a  lot.

    Hi jianhong,
you'll need to install a separate Java System and then deploy the JDI components into it and configure them.
    In detail, it's:
    - take care that the correct java version is installed on your server, for AIX see SAP notes 1024539 and 716927
    - installing the SAP java system, depending on the database - software you can download the installation guide from http://service.sap.com/instguides => Netweaver 7.0 => Installation (there you'll find planning guides, installation guides, etc.)
    - installing the Support Package Stack - I suppose you'll need SP09 - see http://service.sap.com/sp-stacks
    - configuring SLD (if you do not already have one, you'll need an SLD for the JDI, see download the installation guide from http://service.sap.com/instguides => Netweaver 7.0 => Installation => 5 - Configuration => Post Installation Guide - SLD...
    - then deploy the JDI (= NWDI): you'll find the sca-files under http://service.sap.com/sp-stacks - you'll need: JDI BUILD TOOL 7.0 SP09 (SAPDEVINF...), JDI ONLINE 7.0 SP09 (SAPBUILDT...) and JDI OFFLINE 7.0 SP09 (SAPDEVINFF...)
    - configuring JDI - see also: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e0b2b146-5776-2910-4a8f-9b3190eab060
Hope that helps as a start.

  • Removing current Quicktime installation (tu use older quicktime version)

Hi! I've had the need to use an older version of Quicktime, as the version 7.1.3 and all older do not support flash.
Current version of Quicktime is 7.5.5. I am on Leopard 10.5.5.
Please take note, by Flash I mean .SWF file, NOT .flv or any other flash video. I really mean animation. Otherwise Perian would have already dealt with it.
I have found older versions on the site : mac.oldapps.com
I tried searching on the Apple Support page but I got trouble and lost myselft there, so I looked at mac.oldapps.com after.
I tired running the installer, but it informed me that it can't install Quicktime as another most recent versions is already installed (my current 7.5.5).
Then I tried to remove Quicktime, but Quicktime is a massive underlying system under OS X, and I couldn't find any suitable uninstaller.
Somebody here : http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=467315 said to use Pacifist, which I already have but I don't understand how I can use pacifist to downgrade Quicktime with an older uninstaller.
If anyone has any hint on downgrade Quicktime with style, please contribute! It would be appreciated.
As for playing SWF in Quicktime, I am 'taping' them using Snapz. The problem is to set the window to a good file size, and then playing it. Saving it in fully uncompressed gives you more chances to recompress the rendered file if you miss first time.

    Good one
I've got plentys of OS X system lying here and there.
(Wait, what about if my systems aren't old enough? I'd like to mess up with 7.1.1 or so, I don't think my first Mac OS is that old.. Yes I'm that of a newbie.)

    Hello,
i have had the same problem
    /community [original link is broken]
The problem is, that before you can install the JDI Online SC, you have to restart the J2EE Engine. After the restart you can complete your install. So just do the following:
1.) Install JDI Offline and JDI Built tool.
    2.) restart the J2EE engine
3.) install the JDI Online Component, which contains the CBS.
    regards,
    Markus

  • Error 1628- i removed old ipod installation, still get error

the 2nd installation for my 20g ipod always stops at the point where it is installing the shield for the ipod installation, this error comes up(1628). the ipod support says to delete the old ipod ****, so i did that, still doesnt work. ipod also is making weird shifting noise, like its trying to do something but gets stuck and starts over. sometimes it stops and goes into battery charging symbol (doesnt move). ill reset and it goes back into strange noise, says do not disconnect/ by the way it takes like 5 to 10 minutes for it to recognize my ipod in the installation process, i donno if thats normal or what

hey it turned out ok. i just spanked my ipod a little bit to stop the shiftin, that made the installer recognize the ipod at all. next i deleted the temp files which let me fiinish the installation. the wierd part is that somewhere along the line all my stuff got wiped off the ipod, which is why i uninstalled evrything in the first place, but now everythings back on. it didnt update it at all, it just magically appeared

  • Certain functions in few transactions were removed after EHP4 installation

    Hi Folks,
We have installed EHP4/SPS7 in our ECC 6.0 system and we are currently in the regression testing phase. While some scipts were run, we found that some of the functional tabs were removed possibly due to the upgrade such as some tabs in ME53n > Number of Prinicipal Purchase Agreement. When we compared this with a system that has not been upgraded yet, the tabs are still visible therefore tests fail due to the changes. Is there some document that will state the changes?
    Regards,
    Jennah

2 "tricks" you can use are:
    1) Objects which are critical for your implementation (some BC objects are good candidates...) can be removed from SU24. Document them and the procedure, and then clean them out against in one swoop when SAP introduces them for your choice of transactions. This makes "2c" easier and PFCG as well each time.
    2) Another trick is to create "original data" for the system. This is an exception where the SAP tables (SU22) are maintained with user ID's other than 'SAP' (or some SAP developer's names who did the same without anonymizing the trace records in earlier times...). If you clean those first before performing step 1 then you can use this approach as well.
It really does make your life easier, but I do not recommend it if you are not very familiar with SU24, SU25 and the "original data" trace mechanism and the various prerequisites to make it work consistently. You should also update and correct the originators of the step 2D data and the SE97 data.
From my experiences, these changes can often be combined with reimplementing a lot of roles or the whole concept to make it maintainable going forward. You will generally find all sorts of opponents to any change... if you start fresh and support them with such cleanups, then they are all very thankfull. Just being honest.
    Cheers,

  • How to remove After Effects installation files?

    Hi all,
I installed After Effects on my pc, but I've got too many files left after installation. What tool I should use to delete them I've got only (Junk Files Cleaner http://www.digeus.com/products/junkcleaner )
    Will it help?
Are there any built clearance function in After Effects?
    Thank you!

The installer leaves some PNGs and other files in your Temp folder (C:\Documents and Settings\Steve\Local Settings\Temp) which you can safely delete, but never ever should you touch anything else or you might end up with a broken licensing system or defunct components. If disk space is really a concern, then you should think of simply buying a bigger disk, winky.
