Removing a person from a picture

I have seen others remove someone they don't like from a picture rather effortlessly!  Can someone show me how to do this easily?
Thank you,
Nima Zahadat

Easily?  That's very subjective.
It requires considerable Photoshop experience and much patience.
You can start experimenting by searching Content Aware in the Photoshop Help files.
There are also plug-ins that, at least in my experience, can do a better job, such as Alien Skin's Image Doctor.

    Hi All,
Is it possible to add/remove a person from a group using workflow?

What version of SharePoint are you using?
There is CodePlex project that adds additional work flow steps that would help you out. These include

    Create Group
    Add users to group

how do you remove an object from a picture.  Newbie to program CS6

Well, generally you can use the clone-stamp tool for one, shortcut is S. It basically allows you to take data from any part of the image and copy that over. What I do is draw on a new layer above the one to modify- make sure you select Sample:"This layer and below" in the top toolbar when doing so. Other ways include blending something on top of the object too, using different blending modes. Painting over it works too at times (rarely). It'd be easier if we knew a specific case though...

how can i extract a person from a picture and then animate the person

Basically you select the person using the various selection tools, copy the selection to the clipboard, and paste the selection onto the destination picture. Then use the Move tool to resize/reposition the person as necessary. Here is a tutorial demonstrating this as well as some advanced techniques.

  • Using ps trying to remove an object from a picture, following steps but when object is removed area is replaced by another portion of the photo like someones face as opposed to what should normally be in the background

using PS on a regular computer windows 7 tryng to remove an object from a picture,  following steps in the tutorial however when the object is removed it is replaced by another (unwanted) portion of the photo i.e. someones face  instead of what would have normally been in the background

Well, we can't know. You have not told us what tools you use and what steps nor provided any screenshots. From your description it simply sounds like you are following some tutorial (which again we know nothing about because you haven't told us which one) and getting things wrong. You need to do much better if you want people to help you.

A Persona doesn't affect the "homepage", it decorates the Toolbars and the Statusbar.
You can revert to the Default theme (Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

How do you remove a person from a photo and repalce her with another person.

There are many tool and "tricks" to accomplish this manipulation. However, depending on the image one technique might be more appropriate than an other. And then there is the question of how to do it "skillfully". For example, the shadows in the person that is being substituted might be different than in the original image creating the obviously "photoshopped" look.
Doing an Internet search on your posting title brings up lots of examples.

  • How to remove a watermark from exported pictures in lightroom.

Hi everyone.  I accidentally deleted a collection I was working on from lightroom 4 and the files were NOT backed up. All of the photos were edited and had my watermark on them.  I exported all pictures into an album on my computer.  I thought I could import them back in and lightroom would recognize the history and I would be able to remove my watermark.  I need to create a disc for a customer and I NEED to get the watermark off.  Is there a way to some-how retrieve the deleted collection from lightroom, or remove the watermark from the re-imported pictures??

What do you mean by "deleted a collection"??
If you mean that the collection is no longer present in the Collection Panel on the left, but the photos remain cataloged in Lightroom, then you ought to be able to find these photos in the Grid View, or via any of Lightroom's search tools, and export them without a watermark.
If you mean that the collection is no longer present in the Collection Panel on the left AND the photos no longer are present in Lightroom ... then ... ooops ... your best hope is a recent backup of the catalog file. If you don't have a recent backup (why not?), then: Alternative solution: if you had written the metadata to the files (which does not happen by default), then you could re-import the photos and your edits will appear; just export them without the watermark. If you have niether a recent backup nor saved metadata to the files, then I think you would need to start from scratch, import the photos again, edit them again, and export without watermark.
Philosophical aside: if the case is that the photos are not present in Lightroom anymore, then you might want to change your workflow to always leave photos in Lightroom. But please, don't plan on re-importing photos, this is not a good practice.

  • How do I remove sun-glare from a picture?

Okay so is it possible to remove the sun glare from this picture?
Please say yes and show me how, it's very important!

That would probably be easiest done with a curves adjustment layer and layer masks. Make a general selection of the flare with the Lasso tool and add a "curves" adjustment layer. Drag the middle of the curve down (towards the bottom right corner) some and add feathering to the adjustment's layer mask. Add another curves adjustment and, again, drag the center of the curve down, but invert the mask and use the brush tool, at low opacity, to slowly paint the adjustment on to the flare.
    Here's a sample:
Obviously, you'll want to take your time and be a little more precise than I was in this quick illustration. You may also need to refine the adjustment layer's tone curve once you have everything close.
Looks like you need to clean your camera's lens!

  • How do I remove the lines from the picture after using rectangular grid tool.

So I was making a pixel character for test purpose for my game, and after I finish I didn't know how remove the lines without messing up the picture. I use the erase to remove the excess lines. So I was wondering how do I remove the lines within the picture with out messing up the picture.
I'm going be using the Illustrator and rectangular grid tool for my game pictures. This is in Illustrator CS6.

If you use the pathfinders unite, you can be left with gaps between your filled objects. If thats the case, use your select menu to select all of one color, then add a stroke with that same color and increase the size of the stroke if necessary. Repeat for the next color until your done.

  • Removing a person from a photograph

I need help getting a person out of a photograph. Please help!

It CAN be done, but it will not be quick, or easy. Using the clone tool, masks, various brushes (and more), you will have to, in essence, 'paint' him out of the picture. You will also need to touch-up the arm of the man standing next to him, and create convincing shadows. This will take time, patience, and a fair bit of artistic talent.
I know my explanation is not very helpful, but this is a fairly advanced project that will require you to be familiar with a range of tools and techniques. I suggest searching on Google for Photoshop tutorials on photo touch-up as a place to start.
    Good luck.

  • Advice on removing this person from an image?

I want to remove the man in the attached image and place him on a different background. I tried this by making a selection around him and using Refine Edge to make some adjustments, though it does not seem natural around his hair and other parts. Is there any easier way to do this or can anyone suggest a different way?
    Thanks.

I'm not having as much luck with this as I would like. I am trying to not select all of the hair detail and I am not selecting the soft parts of the hair. Aside from the lower left part of his shoulder that I did not select, what do you think of the selection? After I try to refine it using the radius slider, it seems to create what seems to be fuzz around him. I tried doing this with various amounts of radius and with smart radius on and off. I am attaching a screenshot of my selection, as well as how it appears on a white background. Any suggestions for how to make it look better?
    Thanks!

  • I am having trouble with the updates to firefox. Each time I start it I get a page that says proxy server refusing connections and have to reinstall the old version just to use the internet. That also removes the personas from my browser.

I currently have version 3.0.10 and have gotten two prompts to upgrade my version of firefox and each time I do install the new version and then try to start up Firefox, I get a page instead that says proxy server is refusing connections and the only way to browse is to re-install the old version. I also have to re-install the old version at least 3 times before I can use Personas.

In Firefox 3.6.4 and later the default connection settings have been changed to "Use the system proxy settings".<br />
See "Firefox connection settings" in [[Server not found]]
You can find the connection settings in "Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection"<br />
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select No Proxy
