Removing Annotations and Markups from Preview

The latest version of Preview has some nice features that allow you to markup and annotate pdfs. I love that. However, once to add an annotation or markup, I have not been able to find a way to remove them.
I have been using a program called Skim (which rocks) to do this same thing. But if I can do it in preview, all the better.
Cheers
Joe

I guess this is not possible . . .

Not a feature of Windows Phone OS, you can only change wallpaper, show artist when playing music or have password request upon lockscreen.

  • Want to remove PFCG and SU01 from profile S_A.SYSTEM

    Hi,
I want to remove PFCG and SU01 from profile S_A.SYSTEM.
Could you please suggest me ways to achieve that.
    Thanks,
    Barada

    1) Create a role by inserting the profile S_A.SYSTEM and then design your S_TCODE such that you enter tcodes in ranges and exclude the tcodes PFCG and SU01 from the range.
    or
    2) Try deactivating the objects S_USER* this might definitely remove authroization for SU01 and not allow to execute the tcode. I am not so sure if it will restrict PFCG execution.

  • I have to select a file – get Info – and change – open with and change from preview to another program and CHANGE ALL everytime I boot up

Why do I have to select a file – get Info – select – open with – and change from Preview to another program and click CHANGE ALL with every file extention everytime I boot up.

    Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -Rh $UID:staff ~ $_ ; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ ; } 2> /dev/null
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
The first step should give you usable permissions in your home folder. This step will restore special attributes set by OS X on some user folders to protect them from unintended deletion or renaming. You can skip this step if you don't consider that protection to be necessary.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    resetpassword
That's one word, all lower case, with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not  going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

I cannot remove albums and playlists from my iPhone; I deselect them in iTunes, but they remain.  I can add new albums and playlists

How did the photos/albums get onto the phone ?
Only photos taken with the iPhone or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the phone - either via the trashcan icon at the bottom right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it top right in thumbnail view. Albums that you've created directly on the phone can be deleted via the Edit button at the top right of the album selection screen.
Photos/albums that were synced from your computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from on your computer and then re-syncing

    Hi there,
You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.
Thanks, let me know if the update helps,

  • How to remove Header and Footer from Flat File

    Hi,
In a scenario , we are going to recieve a flat file which will contains header , footer and data. We have to have to load data in Oracle tables and remove header and footer.
once the data load is complete , we have to delete flat file from source directory.
Please help me in solving this issue.
    Thanks,
    Kamlesh

You have a header parameter in the file datastore. You can provide any number to skip rows from top of the file. For footer you can create a filter in staging area.
Filter coould be something like this.
    where source_alias.source_column not like '%FOOTER_OR_ANY_VALUE_AS_PER_YOUR_REQ'

  • Remove header and footer from blank left-hand pages

Are there any scripts to automatically remove header and footer on a blank left-hand page for an InDesign CS3 document? I have a book with many chapters and it would be more efficient than removing them by hand.

It's a one liner from a much longer script that does quite something else -- this is merely a side effect, a quick way to get a page range (i.e., I need the range "251-256" to appear on my first page, excluding an optional blank last one) [*].
Perhaps I could write a full script, but for that I need a bit more information. Is your document an InDesign Book, with each chapter in a separate document? If so, any empty frame on a last leftmost page can safely be deleted. If your book is in a *single* InDesign document, this line can only be used if a left hand page has *no objects at all* -- not even an empty frame. That's the easy case -- in English "if there are no objects on the page, apply the "[None]" master. If there *is* a frame, however, it cannot be removed right away, even if it seems empty. That's because in that case you probably have inserted a page break somewhere on the previous page, and if the frame is deleted, tht page break will push off the text on the *next* page (the right hand). It also depends on what kind of page break -- as a character or as a paragraph Keep Option; Next Page, Next Frame, Next Odd Page, Next Column. Way too complicated to script right off the bat.
All in all, applying that empty master maually is much easier :-)
[*] Sure, I know how to use the Next Page Number trick. However, I also need the range in my XML output, and the Page Number markers do not play nice when written out in ASCII.

  • Remove device and profile from call manager

Is there any documentation on how to remove phones and EM, RDP, CSF profiles from call manager in order to free up some licensing??

EM does not take any licenses, but the way you want to do this (assuming all associations are correct and dependencies would prevent you from doing it anyway):
    delete UDP
    delete CSF device
    delete RDP
    delete desk phone

  • Can't drag and drop from Preview into Powerpoint

I'm having an odd problem, in that I cannot drag a thumbnail in Preview into Powerpoint.  I used to be able to do this in Leopard, wherein I could drag the thumbnail from Preview to Powerpoint (I have 2008) and it would place the picture on the slide, but in Lion and Mountain Lion, it only posts the file path as text.  Something similar happens when I try to copy and paste the thumbnail, though it's a different filepath, presumably to the clipboard.  I can successfully drag the thumbnail to the desktop, where it copies the file, and then drag that file onto Powerpoint, where the picture then appears.
I suppose my questions are twofold:  Is this the normal and expected behavior?  And is it possible to revert to the old behavior, under Leopard?

I might be wrong, but ...
I know Microsoft Office 2011 is Mountain Lion compatible.  In fact, Microsoft released updates to it right around the time of Mountain Lion's release to assure compatibility.
I do not believe Microsoft Office 2008 is Mountain Lion compatible.

  • Remove Spot and Crop from all Presets?

Is there an easy way to remove all "spot removal" and "Crop" settings from all the presets in the LR library?
I have found a lot (200+) of free lightroom presets on the web, and a lot of them have (don't know why) saved ALL settings, and it makes no sense to loose the crop you have just to try a different color on your image!
and it would be way too much work to run throught them all and remove the spot / crop setting by hand!
so any suggestions are very welcome! :)

I do *not* recommending removing the *.lnk files as a way to remove the tiles from the start page (sorry mr brooks)

  • Remove pan and zoom from clip in imovie6

Some of the clips in my movie do not respond to my attempt to change the photos settings and to remove pan and zoom. Having selected a clip, clicked on Media, then Photos and then on Show Photo Settings the screen goes black. When I click on Hide Photos Settings I can see my clip once again. While the screen is black I can see the photo settings. When I deselect the Ken Burns effect and select Apply I can once again see the selected clip. However, when I once again select Show Photo Settings I find that I am back to the black screen and the previous photo settings (Ken Burns is still selected) that I was trying to change. This is true for only a few clips; no problem with the others. How can I fix this?

    Hi Geoffrey,
You may have more luck searching and posting in the iMovie HD 6 forum - this is the forum for the Safari web browser.

  • How to remove music and movies from ipod touch 5

Since recent update all music from itunes library has appeared on daughters ipot touch gen 5 and I cant get it off.  how do I remove it?

you can only transfer itunes purchases from the ipod to the pc. to get any other music (etc.) from your ipod by using third party software (there are many threads on this, use the search box or try googling 'ipod to computer')
you can also only delete 'Saved Photos' directly on the iPod. these are photos obtained on the iPod: by screenshot (press the sleep and home button at the same time), saving from email, or from safari (holding your finger on a picture while browsing the web will bring up an option to save it.
any other photos will need to be deleted during the sync process (i.e. deleted from the folder which you sync your photos from)
