Removing App's

This is probably a dumb noob question...but I am wanting to remove a couple of app's from my 3GS but they are not showing up in itunes to be "unsynced" so to speak. Any ideas why they wouldn't pull through in to itunes?
Thank you!

You can also hold down an icon until they all "wiggle" and tap the "x" in the corner to delete from the iphone.

  • How can I remove apps from my iPad

How can I remove apps from my iPad? It does not have the little "x" option on the iPad like the iPhones.

It works just the same as an iPhone. A long hold on an icon will cause them all to start wobbling, drag to move around or tap the X to remove. You can't remove any of the built-in apps so these won't get an X to tap.

How to remove apps in iOS 5? I press and hold an Icon like would in iOS4 it starts shaking but x mark does not appear to delete.

Check that you haven't enabled Restrictions, you can turn toggle the ability to delete apps through there.
    Goto:
    Settings
    General
    Restrictions
    Enter your Restrictions Passcode
Scroll down and check to see if Deleting Apps has been enabled (On - so can delete) or disabled (Off - so CAN'T delete).

  • Refund for a removed app?

Hello everyone, this is my first discussion thread here.
Itroductions later, can you get a refund for a removed app that you bought?
I recently purchased a app by the name of xRec that was removed from the app Store today, one minute it was there next second, it was gone.
The app allowed you to record your home screen on your iPod/iPhone and was removed today.
It originally cost 1.99 and I was wondering if Apple will refund me my money and furthermore, does Apple refund people of apps that were removed?
    Thank you.

The apps/iTunes store staff are usually very good and considerate of users.
You can always elevate your concern to Apple headquarters or another arm of the company found on: http://www.apple.com/contact
There may be a very good reason why the app was removed, but it would definitely have been helpful to inform or respond quickly to users who purchased the app as to why it was removed.
Good luck and hopefully you will get a satisfactory response soon.

  • Add/remove apps oddity

I found a small hiccup in iTunes 10 when it comes to syncing and removing apps. Here's how it's triggered...
    * Buy any app on your iPhone that is not in your library (free ones count)
    * Connect your iphone to your mac
    * Go to the iPhone and choose the APPS tab ("Sync apps" and "automatically sync new apps" should be checked)
    * Choose any program(s) that are currently on your iPhone to be removed from the list (the program you just purchased on your iPhone will not show up in the list yet)
    * Press the APPLY button in the lower corner
    * The APP(s) you selected to be removed from your iPhone will be removed, but then iTunes will add the new app you just purchased on the iPhone to your local library and will then RE-LOAD the APP(s) you had previously selected for removal. (It's like you never selected anything for removal at all.)
Shouldn't the "removal of apps" process come after the "copy new apps to the local library" process?

Guess what I didn't lose any data, not even in for instance games like Coin Dozer or Whatsapp or anything! I don't know how, but it's true! I didn't even have to re-login Wordfeud! Hurray!

Tap and hold an app until they all start to wiggle, then tap the black "x" on the apps you want to delete from your phone, or drag them to the edge of the screen if you want to move them to another screen rather than deleting them.  Finish by tapping the home button.

  • App store - permanently remove apps

Hi, I'm BJ from Wellington, NZ. I was just wondering if there is a way to permanently remove app entries from the app store - via view account. The only help entries I have seen talk about removing an app from a specific computer or device. This is good to a point but it can still be seen via iCloud or the App Store. I want a feature where I can change my mind and decide I do not want to ever see an app again on any device.
Surely I am not the only one who wants this! I want a way that I can remove it permanently so I never, and I mean never see it again. If anybody has any tips or pointers, look forward to hearing these.
    Cheers.

I'm not ssure what the issue is, if you delete an app from your devices and hide it in the Purchases, the only way that you should see it is if you went looking for it.

  • Can't remove apps

hello guys. i cant remove apps from my iphone using itunes because the "remove" button can't be clicked. i dont know why. i tried to uninstall itunes then redownload it but the problem is still. your suggestions. thanks

    Hello Naimx,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
How to delete content you've downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5772
    Mac or PC
Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the app you deleted again (it depends on where you live).
    Launch iTunes.
From the Library pop-up menu, choose Apps.
Click the app you want to delete.
Press the Delete on your keyboard.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

  • Saving App Data for Removed Apps

    Hello everyone,
I was wondering if via a regular iTunes backup would I be able to say, remove apps on my iDevices (they are taking way too much space) but without deleting their data so if I want to use them again (specially games) I just sync them back and have my data recovered (let's speak savegames).
    Is this possible?
Or basically everytime I delete an app from an iDevice via iTunes (uncheck when sync) the data goes along to the garbage can?
Also, if I delete an app from the iDevice itself, would it just delete it from the device and not from iTunes? So basically in each new sync it won't sync the app? Am I right?
So far I think the only solution to my problem would be games or apps that save data to iCloud (let's leave aside other services like the developer's own), so if I delete an app from the iDevice the data will still be on iCloud and shall I restore the app to the device (check via iTunes sync) the app data would be brough back from the cloud? Is this basically how it works, so nothing in this world will have the data on iCloud removed?
I'm doubtful because since you check which apps you want data for on iCloud, and once the app is gone from the iDevice I assume the app check wouldn't appear on the device so there would be no way of checking if it's still up there (unless the app was installed on other device, but let's forget that option for the sake of clarity), so you'd have to cross your fingers and pray for it to.. you know.. still be up there?
    Thanks for your time.

The application storage directory is a good place for saved game files.
The format is whatever you find easiest to use. Both text and XML work. You can also write a save game object to a byte array and save that to a file.
Instead of reading and writing a file yourself, you could use a local shared object.

  • How can I remove apps that I downloaded and removed from "purchased" at App Store?

How can I remove some apps that I downloaded and removed from "purchased" list at App Store??
    Thanks Vic

You can't remove apps from the purchased list. It's impossible. You can hide them but not delete them from the purchased list.
Tap and hold down on the app icon until it wiggles then tap the X on the icon to delete it, tap the home button to stop apps from wiggling.

How can you remove apps songs from i cloud account

    Welcome to the Apple community.
The apps are not actually in your iCloud storage, they are links to the apps in the App Store. What you are seeing is your purchase history and as such cannot be deleted.
You can however hide your purchases, which you can do from the QuickLinks > Purchased option from the main page in the iTunes Store on your computer.

How can I remove Apps from my Iphone 4 ?

Delete them directly on the device by pressing and holding the icon until they start wiggling and then press the red X.
Uncheck them from the Sync box on the Apps tab in iTunes.
This is covered in the Users Guide, you might want to skim through it.
