Removing audio from ipad: Sync problem

Hi,
I've got my ipad set to sync manually - so I simply drag and drop whatever I want from itunes into the device. I put in a playlist/cd from my itunes library but was having trouble with the cd cover image associated with it. So, I changed the image and dragged and dropped AGAIN into the ipad. (A window popped up, asking if I was sure I wanted to replace, etc, I said yes and proceeded.)
Now, though I've deleted the cd from the ipad contents tree inside of itunes (while the ipad is connected) and re-synced, the cd and playlist are still showing up in the ipad.
Wait - an idea. I'm disconnecting the ipad from the computer and I'll try re-syncing it....
Nope, no luck. Same problem.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

click device name in itunes- click photos- uncheck what you want to remove- apply or sync at bottom

IPad syncing problem - HELP!

iPad sync problem - HELP! I keep getting this message "...cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the items in the iTunes library (additional ...space needed)" and yet I seem to have plenty of space on the iPad. This just started today. I even tried deleting some things to make even more room, but it didn't help. Any ideas???
I was thinking of restoring, but I've never done it... should I?

Press and hold any of the apps and after a couple of seconds or so they should start to shake. Then press the 'x' in the left corner to delete the ones that you don't want, and when you've finished deleting press the home button so as to stop the shaking. If you don't get the 'x' on any of the apps that you've downloaded (you can't delete built-in apps) then check that Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps isn't set 'off'

Front I'd say you can't without affecting how the digitizer is going to work, and as for the back .... why bother?
If you want to mitigate further damage, then consider something like ZAGG shields, which provide coverage for both sides, or better cases, or some combination of the two.

Will syncing delete a removed app from iPad?

Some time ago I installed the "Simpsons Tapped Out" game on my iPad, which was removed some days later from the app store by the publisher because of performance problems. It still works and even got an update some days ago. But since the removal from app store, the app also doesn't appear in my iTunes app list anymore. What will happen now if I sync my iPad with iTunes (I haven't since)? Will the app be deleted from the iPad?

If the app is not in your iTunes library and you have Sync Apps selected under the Apps tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes, yes.
To copy the app to your iTunes library, with your iPad connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPad.
iTunes includes an option to automatically download apps purchased/downloaded direct with an iOS device. Go to iTunes > Preferences. Under the Store tab select Apps below Automatic Downloads. You can do the same for music and books.

Removing Audio From Video (Problem 2) !!!HELP!!!

I have succesfully managed to remove audio and add new audio to an (avi) video. However, when I tried to do the same thing with an new (mpeg) video/ soundtrack. Logic did not allow me to extract audio from video or give me the option to de-select audio tracks when bouncing. So when I extract video with audio I get the old audio track plus the new audio combined. Is it do with the video format? can I convert video formats in logic? many thanks, Ben.

open in quicktime, then click save as and save as a .mov file. This should work. Not sure why this is happening though. Let me know if this works...

HT1386 removed photos from ipad and itunes still syncing them

I had photos on my PC that I synced to my new iPad. After a month I decided I wanted less photos on the iPad. I connected the iPad to the PC and went into iTunes. Under my d evice, i went to the Photos tab. I unchecked the Sync Photos checkbox. It showed that the photos were removed from the iPad. perfect...but then iTunes said "Syncing Photos to Kim's iPad". It says it is copying photos (960 of them!)
What is it copying where?? help-please

Trouble removing photos from iPad

I'm having trouble removing photos from my iPad2 running iOS 5.0.1. In iTunes I've told it not to sync ANY photos. When I first changed this it asked me if I wanted to remove the photos currently there, I said yes and they disappeared. But when it finished syncing they had reappeared despite the fact that it now claims I don't have it set to sync any photos. I don't have photostream enabled. I've tried syncing a couple of times, but no luck. Any ideas? (I searched the forums but everything I found was people who didn't understand how to use iTunes to manage iPad content...that's not my problem..) (also it is like 3 gigs of pics so I don't really want to delete them all by hand since there isn't a way to batch delete...)

How to remove songs from iPad?

I've read several threds from users asking how to remove songs from the iPad 1.0, but have not found anyone with the symptoms mine has.
For some unknown reason, the checkbox next to each song to remove them from the iPad is disabled.
My latest attempt at removing all of the music was to tell iTunes to "Sync Music" with "Entire Music Library' selected. That caused iTunes to push all 2700+ songs to the iPad. I checked to see if I could remove the songs from the iPad by de-selecting the checkbox, but the checkbox was still disabled.
So I told iTunes to stop syncing Music. I acknowledged the warning message that this would remove all songs from the iPad. Perfect - remove everything and I'll manually add the songs I want to put back on. However, the results were not what was intended... I am back to where I started:
When I open "Music" on my iPad, it shows lots of albums and songs (over 2700).
When I view my iPad using iTunes, "Sync Music" is disabled and the capacity indicator shows 11.1GB of space allocated to audio files.
When I view my iPad's Music folder using iTunes, it shows only 3 albums.
At this point, I am thinking my only option is to wipe the iPad and manually add everything back on. I'd rather not do that... but am out of options I can think of.

I cannot delete music from my iPad2. I've gone into iTunes and selected to manually manage my music. When I click on my iPad and then MUSIC, I don't see any songs listed. When I look at my iPad itself under usic there are a ton there. I just want to keep my iPad free of music. I don't need my music on my phone and my iPOD (yes, I still use an iPOD and I still like my music SEPARATE.)

I use itunes and I select the app I want to remove from the iPad app screen and I remove them "not from the itunes library"
It removed but when I sync my iPad again, they are synced and installed.... And I have to remove them again from my device
This problem occured since itunes 11 and not found with me before
Is there any solution or an option I can make .. Rather than deleting the app from itunes library as I use the with other devices

As Demo indicated, IDs unfortunately can not be combined.
Decide which one you want to be "primary" and routinely remain logged on to that one on both the iPad and the computer. That way, all new purchases will be on the primary and you won't be making the problem any worse.
Change the password on one of the IDs so that both IDs use the same password.
The difficulty is in app updates. Both your iPad and iTunes on your computer will tell you that updates are available and it's possible to update them using either device (and a sync will update the other device). However, it's a nuisance updating from iTunes because you most log out and back in again, get the update, and when finished log out and back in again to get back on your primary.
Remember that the iPad is always logged in to the primary ID. When the iPad tells you that updates are available, you either "select all" or choose one at a time for updating. If you "select all," only those associated with the primary ID will be updated but sometimes you're lucky and that's everything. The apps on the secondary ID will not have been updated and they should subsequently be selected one at a time for updating. You will NOT need to log out and back in again! All that will be necessary is to enter the password.
If any of the above did not make sense, post back and I'll explain.

Remove books from iPad

For some reason my iPad sync'ed 500+ books from my itunes, not sure why... In itunes I had sync selected books checked and I presonally only checked 2 books, after my next sync it dumped the 500+ more books. My main problem now is how to remove them from the iPad. In itunes I command clicked to remove all books and then sync'ed but the books still remain on the ipad. I then tried to just sync 1 book (itunes shows one book selected) which after sync'ed the single book was placed on the ipad but the others remain.
So... how do I remove these books?!

If you are refering to hiding your purchases in the cloud (you can't actually delete them from your history).
Settings > iBooks > Show All Purchases > Off.

What happens when you try to delete the music in your Music App?
If I am viewing the songs by "Songs" list, I can just swipe left to right on the song listing and a red Delete button appears on the right. (Note that doen't happen when viewing in Playlists.)
If viewing as Artists or Album, I can touch and hold on a particular artist or album which brings up the little "x" icon similar to deleting an app. If I don't want to delete all af that artist I can tap the Artist (or Album) to see the included song list then swipe across individual songs to delete them as above.
Edit, if I'm in a Playlist, the swipe option doesn't work, but there is an "Edit" button in the upper right. Note that still won't delete the actual music, but allows you to modify, add or remove songs from the playlist.
