Removing black from full color leaves black line

See attached image for reference. I'm trying to remove the black from a full color smart object illustration so then I can have another layer which has just black part so I can offset it and have its own texture to it. I need this to be non-destructive so that it can be used with any illustration. When I use the blending option sliders I'm left with a thin black like around the edge of the black. If I move the sliders any further the blue starts to disappear.
Hope that makes sense. Please let me know if you need any more info.
Ian

Hi Benjamin,
Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry forgot to mention that I need this document to be used by other people, so the PSD needs to be set up to automatically take the black out the smart object. So I can't use manual techniques like magic wand, color range or the pen tool.
Cheers Ian

  • Remove black lines from a tiff image in Photoshop.

    Hi,
I am developing an automation plugin in Ps. I have images which contains text, border and vertical lines. I need to remove the lines and border from the image. The problem is that the color of text, line and border are same ie. black.
I tried reading pixel by pixel but couldn't differentiate between the lines and text as both are of same color.
Can anyone suggest some other way to achive this?
    Thanks in advance.

Just to clarify the situation for us. You want to remove the black frame and the vertical lines while leaving the black rectangle and the text intact in the image? Is this correct?
You also mentioned you are attempting to create an "automation plug-in for Photoshop"
You say you have other images, I'm assuming they are different for the one you posted but you want the "plug-in" to delete the black frame & vertical lines from a number of different images?
Will the black rectangle always be in the same exact position and will the image dimensions for all the images always be the same?
As Noel said, you should go to the Photoshop SDK forum. Explain to them what you want to do and that you want to do this on many different images.
As an afterthought, a Plug-in is different from a Photoshop Action. Perhaps this could be partially done with an Action that allows for a pause to select or change something before continuing the action.
And no, I don't create Actions myself so I can't help.  Do some reading and see what you can come up with.

    The only "Line Break"

Code formating just cleans the display of the visual code it doesn't effect the browser display.
You can do a "Search and Replace" the <br /> with nothing. to strip all <br /> for the whole site or DIR or page.
In code view right mouse click and choose

  • Removing Mail from a MailBox via Command Line

    Hi,
I have a mailBox with > 10,000 (Mailing List Bounce).
I'd like to be able to delete all the mail from the command line.
    Is that possible?
    Thanks,

    Hi BriGy,
Base on my search, if you want to remove these service account permission, you need to remove from organizational level, not mailbox level.
Please refer to the following thread, it may give you some hints:

  • Remove files from iTunes, but leave them on iPod?

I have an 80GB iPod, but only 70GB on my computer harddrive. I want to remove some movies from iTunes to make space on my computer, yet leave those movies on the iPod. Is that possible? If so, how do I do that?
    Thanks

You can if you turn off automatic synchronization. Connect your iPod and go to the iPod Options and select the "Manually manage" option. It will then not automatically remove the items from the iPod if you delete them from iTunes. You'll have to drag songs and videos from your library or playlist to iPod in the Source list to add new tracks.
Note that it's not a good idea to depend solely on your iPod to have your only copy of items that you've purchased from the iTunes Store or that would otherwise be difficult to replace. I strongly recommend that you make a backup copy of such material (on CD, DVD, or an external hard drive) before you delete it from iTunes.

  • How to remove Bean from session upon leaving the web page?

    Hi...
    I got the following problem
I promote a user with a Datatable filled with data, each time the user enters the webpage with the table I go the DB and retrieve all relevant data again (so each time the user gets an OnLine representation of the DB)
to archive that I defined the bean that pulls data from DB in Request scope. and it worked well... but now i added an option to export the table into Pdf made by a servlet.... now to be able to get the bean from the servlet i had to change the scope of the Bean to Session Scope... and all works fine.. BUT... now the page not showing OnLine representation of the DB.. cause its only created once , cause its inside Session Scope...
My question is how can I remove the Bean from Session scope upon the user leaving the page (I don't want to remove the bean from session scope on the next called bean of the other page) i want to remove the Bean upon leaving the current web page... Or maybe force the constructor to be executed each time the Page is loaded (as if it was a Request scope bean)....
    Any ideas?
    Thanks ahead!
    Daniel.

    Hi,
When you are moving to another page, you are performing an action right ?
(i mean the request moving to Server side), if you do so, then clear the bean object values list.
    for example :
        private List<Integer> intList = new ArrayList<Integer>();
      public void clear()
       intList.clear();
    or
store a new object in session, when ever u moved to the second page, so that the old object will be no longer
in use, so it will be garbage collected.Regards,
    Sathya.

  • How to remove the black line from a stacked canvas at run time???

    Hi All,
I've developed a stacked canvas within a content canvas, when I run the form the stacked canvas apeared with a black line takes it.
How to remove this line or how to disappear this line at run time??
I tried to do this by putting (no line) in tools palette to the line color tool after selecting the black line one and after selecting the stacked canvas another once, but this did not resolve the problem!
    I need something else:
I put the stacked canvas at detail data block and it didn't appear since I execute query in master data block
How to appear the stacked canvas directly before executing query in master data block???

    Hi,
u mean the border line? In stacked canvas property, select contour/outline and set it to none.
Make sure, the stacked canvas is behind the content canvas in the objectnavigator. Then check your
    properties of the stacked canvas:
    - Position on content canvas
    - size
    - size of clipping
Set stacked canvas property automatic visible to yes.
Make sure the stacked canvas is not overlayed by other stacked canvas or items.

  • I have small black lines that appeared after I exported from word to PDF. I can't remove them.

I can't edit/delete the black lines with content editing or form editing (they are not selectable, just like a line that was created in word prior to export), and when I tried to write a white line over it with a comment mark up, it does not show when opened with adobe.
Further, redaction with a white box erased nearby text or text boxes.
How can I white out/remove these small lines?
I'm using Yosemite OS X with a macbook pro, acrobat XI.
    Thanks!

    Hi ,
Could you please tell is that some specific file in which those black lines have appeared or are there any other files as well ?
You can try exporting another test file to PDF and compare the results .
Will it be possible for you to share the file with us so that we can analyze at our end ?If yes ,please share it on [email protected] .
You could also send us the screen shot of the files ( both after and before export) so that we can have a look how it looks and what is the method to remove those lines.

  • HP 8600 Pro- ADF leaving black line on the orginal.

When users are making copies or scanning from an 8600 Pro.  The copy will come out good, but, the orginal will come out with a black line on it.
This happens when using the ADF.  I tested this and each time the copy looked great, but my orginal came out with a black line running down the entire page.

    Hey @bobs145,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that your document feeder is putting a black line down the documents that you run through the feeder mechanism on your HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this issue. There is most likely debris or ink build up on one of the rollers that is causing the black line to appear. To resolve this issue can you please follow the steps below.
How to clean the scan mechanism:
    Gather the following materials:
    Several clean, soft, lint-free cloths
    Mild glass cleaner
    Flashlight
Note: Use only glass cleaner to clean the scanner glass. Do not use cleaners that contain abrasives, acetone, benzene, or carbon tetrachloride. These substances can damage the printer. Avoid isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) because it can leave streaks on the glass.
    Clean the scanner mechanism:
    1. Press the Power button to turn off the printer.
    2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
    3. Lift the scanner lid.
    4. Spray a clean, soft, lint-free cloth with mild glass cleaner.
    5. Use the lint-free cloth to clean the area of the ADF scanner glass strip that caused the streaks or lines.
    6. Use the lint-free cloth to clean the white plastic ADF strip on the underside of the scanner lid.
    7. Dry the ADF scanner glass strip and the underside of the scanner lid thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth or chamois to prevent spotting.
    8. Close the scanner lid.
    9. Lift the cover of the ADF until it stops.
    10. Locate the pick rollers and the separator pad.
    1. The ADF Cover
    2. The Pick Rollers
    3. The Separator Pad
    11. Lightly dampen a clean lint-free cloth with distilled or bottled water, and then squeeze any excess liquid from the cloth.
    12. Use the damp cloth to remove residue from the separator pad.
    13. Use the damp cloth to remove residue from the pick rollers.
    14. Dry the pick rollers, the separator pad, the white roller, and the gray rubber pad with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.
    15. Close the ADF cover.
    16. Plug in and power your machine back on
    - Source
Once your printer starts back up, please take a blank sheet of paper and load it in the document feeder. Once the blank sheet is loaded please run a black copy. This copy test will not waste ink and if a nice clean sheet of paper comes out of the feeder mechanism the issue should be resolved.
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • HP 3800 Color LJ Prints 2 black lines. Pic Included

    Hi,
I have a HP Color LaserJet 3800. Since last summer it has been printing 2 black horizontal lines across every page. They are always in the same spot, so I'm thinking it is just something that needs to get cleaned and have ruled out the cartridges. (They have all been replaced multiple times since the issue first started). This happends with and without using the duplexer.
I took out the fuser? I think that's what it's called from under the front cover (It was really hot) and cleaned it with a moist papertowl, but that did not make any difference.
Any suggestions on what to clean or where the parts are located? I'm a noob when it comes to working on printers, so a step by step/diagram/pictures will be the best way to explain,
Here is a picture of what the pages look like, I have circled the black lines:

Scratch that, I looked at the manual and found how to open a part to fix a paper jam. There were two rollers in there that fit perfectly with the lines. I cleaned them up and now no more black lines.
Fyi, to get at the rollers I had to open the front of the printer, then on the bottom of the inside are 2 green tabs. I pressed them and lifted up the plastic piece to reveal these rollers.

  • Printing from InDesign - black lines

    Good afternoon all,
I've started using InDesign CS6 at work to produce advertising catalogues. I've hit a bit of a wall when I print it and would like a bit of help to try and solve my issue(s).
I have a booklet set up to print 4 pages of A4 on to double-sided A3. I printed my latest proof from InDesign this morning (just to A4)and it looked OK. I then tested it using the glossy paper we have just got today and this is when I noticed some thin black lines on the A3 print.
To help give an idea of what I'm working with, it is a catalogue/brochure with 6 or 7 product images per page, each with a price point graphic (a circle with the price in a text frame within). The price point overlaps the product image by varying degrees.
I've just checked again and the thin black lines are all on the left-hand edge of objects - both product images and price point images. I acquired the images from the DLibrary and the price point graphics came from a previous designer.
The black lines do not appear on every product image, neither do they appear on every price point. They are not all the same size (height) as the frame that they are on, if that makes sense. For instance, I have an image of a pack of coffee, and the black line starts at the top of the left-hand side and finishes about halfway down. The price point for the coffee has a black line all the way down the left-hand edge.
I have printed the catalogue to A4, it was 100% fine. I print to A3 and these lines appear. I know I could export to pdf and print from there, but that then leaves the centre spread with a white stripe down the middle and I don't have the tools or the knowledge to get rid of the borders that appear in Adobe Reader.
I've looked in the settings and can't find anything that looks like it will help. Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks for the tip Mikey - however the same thing happens with the thin black lines when I print on 'normal' A3 paper too. On normal A4 paper it's fine, no lines, but when I print to A3 I get the lines - on both kinds of paper.
I've attached a couple of (awful-looking) scans to help illustrate my point.
