Removing built in loops ?

Hello all,
I was just wondering if there was a way to remove/delete the loops that came with ios GarageBand .
I know there's a way to reset and replace them but for now they're just taking up space on my device.

Why go to the time and effort of removing it and the chance of damaging something else? Just tape a piece of paper over the camera. That way if you ever decide you want to use it for something, you can just pull the tape off.

Hello All:
Can anyone help me get my sound working again? Can someone tell Apple they shouldn't have fired everyone who checks that their updates don't screw up machines in other ways?
Problem: No sound after installing updates. Built-in speakers have been removed from sound output preferences dialog.
System: 10.4.11
Hdwr: MacbookPro 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Details:
Yesterday I installed two updates:
2009-05-24 13:06:57 -0700: Installed "Security Update 2009-002 (Intel)" (1.0)
2009-06-08 00:56:54 -0700: Installed "Safari" (3.2.3)
After, no sound comes out of my built-in speakers. Machine has been re-booted, sound control panel checked many tiems, etc. The only options in the sound pane>output are :
digital out Port=Built-in Output
soundflower (2ch)
soundflower (16ch)
All options say, "Settings for this selected device: The selected device has no output controls".
So, the built-in speakers have been zorched somehow.
Apple help doesn't say much other than make sure nothing plugged into headphone jack (there isn't).
I now cannot participate in any of my scheduled skype conferences ---crap crap crap.
The last security update caused deletions of libraries for x11 on my G5 10.3 machine, now this one has killed my sound on my other machine. Fixing the aftermath of these updates have really become a time-sink. I wish someone would tell Apple to take a little more care with testing these updates.
Apple engineers, are you listening?

Sorry, I just got a fix for my own question: "sys update removed built-in speakers from output options"
This was provided by www.mac-forums.com. Apparently, this was a ???coincidence??? and a hardware problem, not a software problem(!).
BTW I didn't resort to WD-40, I just plugged in a sound cable repeatedly.
Thank you all for putting up with me, and I do apologize to apple for dis-ing their testing this time (but not last time when they zorched my x11 libraries!)

This worked for me; doubtless, there had been dust or smear or something else polluting the macintosh perfection. Everything else people are doing is incidental and only coincidentally will have effect. Sorry, but this is a mechanical issue, not a software one.

How to remove the simulation loop from the block diagram

i have used lap view version 8.6 to design pid system. i have the pid block diagram with daq on simulation loop. now my supervisor want me to remove the simulation loop. anyone know how to remove the simulation loop without deleting the pid block diagram. i have attached my pid program.

You cannot remove the simulation loop alone because all the functions kept inside that loop will work inside that loop only. If you have to remove means then you have to find another way to inplement the PID control.
The best solution is the one you find it by yourself

Remove built-in search-engines in Firefox Nightly

I don't use the default Firefox search-engines, so I like to be able to delete all the Amazon, Twitter, Google nativelly installed on every Firefox version. Using current and beta version of Firefox, I am able to remove built-in search-engines on the Android version, simply from the add-ons manager and disable the search-engine.
However, on the last Nightly build, the search-engines can not be found in the add-ons manager. My phone is not rooted, so I'm not able to directly set the search-engines list by editing the files or removing it through the search-engines list. Can't find a property in `about:config` either...

The root solution is useful but not everybody is root and this search engines re-ordering function seems to be pretty basic. However, I'm sure there is a lot of reasons for having remove it since pas versions.

Removing 3rd party loops from GB

I've added a folder of loops to my GB loop library by dragging and dropping the folder onto the loop window.
I really hate these loops and now want to remove them (i now realise i should have auditioned them before adding), but can't seem to work out how to do it. Haven't been able to find anything in the forums that explains the process either.
Would really appreciate some guidance on how to do this.

Remove built-in HDD password (Satellite Pro L300)

I already posted a topic but it didn't get any working answers, and I can't post in it to bump it any more.
Anyway, I know the password, and I can boot up into Windows, get into BIOS, etc..I just can't remove the password, not change it. There's no BIOS user password set, or a supervisor password set, just an HDD password. I want to remove it and just have the Windows XP passwords. This is really frustrating now. I just upgraded to the latest BIOS version about an hour ago, and still no luck
Any ideas?
These are the suggestions I tried:

The thing is, there isn't a thing for current password, new password and confirm new password, there's just one thing that says built-in HDD password within the security bit of the BIOS setup, and no matter what you enter, the changes aren't reflected
Edit: Seems you can't change or remove the HDD password. How ridiculous.

If you didn't set a hard drive password and the system suddenly starts asking for one, that is one symptom of a drive failure. As far as I know, there is no way to reset, remove, or otherwise defeat a hard disk password once it is set so under those circumstances, I would treat the drive as failed and shop for a replacement. If the system is still under warranty, a Premier Authorized Service Provider would be the best option.

How to remove directories under Loops Search Setup?

Hi, I want to move my sound effects loops to an external firewire drive to free up 20+ GB. In Soundtrack Pro when I go into Loops Search Setup, where the list of Directories being indexed is displayed, the "-" icon at the top for "remove directory" is greyed out--no matter which directory I select. How do I get this to work?

Xfce. Stick window to one workspace. Remove built in keyboard shortcut

Is it possible to stick a window to a specific workspace? The stick function i have found, sticks the window to all workspaceses. Not what I want.
Can I remove the built in keybord shortcuts? It is irritating that ALT+F1 opens the documentation in my browser(used to E-17 where it jumps to workspace 1), and also move the browser from one workspace to the workspace where i hit keyboard combination.

Perhaps I am simply being a doofus here but isn't the point of stickying a window so that it shows up on all workspaces? If you don't sticky it then it only shows up one workspace... which is what you want?
I might be the dofus here, but I dont se the point in having the same window in all workspaces. What I wanted was to stick Firefox and Thunderbird to workspace 1 and 2. So that I can clik on a link in thunderbird without firefox being moved from workspace 1 to workspace 2.

If I can remove built-in account from built-in Administrators Group?

Backgroud:
       Someone created a win2003 AD environment, and I upgraded it to win2008r2 AD recently.There is a bulit-in administrator account named domainsvrusr. Unfortunately, the account revealed to some users. Due to security
reason, I want to recover the permission and just let the domainsvrusr account have a domain user permission. And I also need to keep the account have a local-admin permission.
Plan:
        I added domainsvrusr to local administrators group on every servers(For 2008, use the GPO; For 2003, manually added). I want to achieve this goal by removing it from the Built-Admin group. However, I find
it is impossible due to this account is a built-in account.
Question:
        1、If there is any possiblity to achieve this goal by just removed the account out of the group? ( I find some info that says it will not be possible... really?)
        2、The client-server must use the domainsvrusr account. I also consider to rename the default domainsvrusr acoout, and then create a new one. But I think the client-server will also point to the renamed account.
I think it will not be useful... Are there any other alternatives can achieve this goal?

I agree with Mahdi. You can't delete a built-in account. Just rename it and change the password.
If you need to use that same account name, after you rename the built-in account and change the password, create a regular domain user account for local admins, and follow what Mahdi suggested to use Restricted Groups.

Well, my guess, and it's only a guess, is that the only special order options you can get with iMacs are bigger hard drives or more memory. iMacs are consumer computers not professional ones so as you pointed out originally, you might need to get a Mac Pro tricked out the way you want it. Sorry but it looks like you'll have to ask Apple about it.

How do I remove/delete the loops I've downloaded? I don't use them and they are taking up too much space on my hard drive.

I wanted to see what was in the loops folders but now will never use them and I need the space.

Yes, I am logged in as the administrator. When I drag a loop to the trash it does nothing. The trash doesn't recoginize the item as trash and doesn't pop up and say trash like it does when I drag items from other programs to the trash.

Formatting changes during composition of outgoing e-mails. When I change the selection of font and/or font size, the formatting values still change while writing. I would like to permanently disable the default formatting. Can this be done? Thanks.

My mistake my e-mail is not Outlook but is mac mail.
