Removing calendar event suggestions in Notes iOS 8

Recently after updating to iOS 8, I have been getting calendar event suggestions in my Notes app for things completely unrelated to the calendar. For example, one of my notes has the line "My Record - 1.11.34". This was meant to be a note of my personal record (1 min 11.34 seconds) on something, but instead the program is recognizing it as a calendar event on Jan 11, 2034. The "1.11.34" is underlined in yellow, which is really annoying. Is there a way to disable this?

I've read through a few similar threads and many of the solutions haven't worked for me:
Removing account and re-adding it
Anything to do with setting time zone on the phone
I finally found that my Google calendar had created the events as GMT in the browser... I didn't believe that was the case, but sure enough -- it was.  The problem, for me, was displaying the 6:45am event with an additional row stating: 11:45am (GMT).
I edited the time zone in my Google calendar appointment via the web page; to Central and it (eventually) synched and fixed it on my iPhone.  While I was waiting, I tested creating a new appointment via web browser in Google Cal with the correct time zone.
This doesn't sound like the same exact problem as all users, but it definitely matches *some* of the problems people are describing here.

  • HT4901 Calendar events deleting themselves on iOS 7

After changing to the new iOS 7, my calendar events have been deleted and when I try to recreate them they simply disappear when I leave the app. I rely upon the calendar to keep track of my events at college, and would love any help fixing this. Thanks!

    I did every thing !!!

  • Declined calendar event still appears on iOS devices

If i remove certain days of a repeating event from Calendar (Mac OSX)...say for example a daily meeting...the event is deleted from those days in Calendar, however they still appear in my calendar on iOS.  The details now show that I have declined the meeting for those days, but it should really be removed from my calendar.  I can't find a setting anywhere that makes this possible.

    Upon further poking around --
In iCal on MacOS, under the "View" menu, there is an option to show or to hide declined events.  So I-- and I guess you and I think many people-- choose sensible to hide declined events.  (*Why do I want to fill my calendar with things I am not doing?)
But iOS does not offer this option; and iOS seems to default to "show declined events".  And for this reason, our iOS devices do not show the same content as our desktop devices.  And this makes it feel, from a user point of view, like it is broken -- because functionally, it is broken.
(*Note that this seems to be a fairly old issue: in addition to the links above, there are also posts on this topic going back to users of mobileme -- and none of the threads have any comment from Apple, which is disappointing as attention to usability is generally the distinguishing feature of their products...)

  • Google calendar event color tags not showing up in IPhone iCal - any fixes?

I have an iPhone 4 (iOS 5.1.1) and am trying to sync my google calendar to the built in iCal app. The events sync both ways, but the color tags I assign to each event does not sync. It used to bother me that the only way to color code events in google calendar was to create multiple calendars, but it seems as though google calendar has added the ability to change the color for each event so I'm going back to google calendar. For example, my classes are in blue, exams are in pink, meetings are turquoise, etc.
I synced my google calendar to the iPhone iCal (via settings, turned on calendar tab listed under gmail account that I use for my google calendar), and all the events sync correctly (can add events on google calendar or iPhone and it syncs), but the colors do not sync. When I view my iPhone iCal all the events from my google calendar are the same color, even if they have different color tags when viewed online. Also, when I add an event on the iPhone iCal, the event syncs to the google calendar but there is no option to change the color tag for the event and it shows up as the default grey color when viewed online.
Is there a way to fix this? Or is this something that google and apple have not resolved?
I would prefer not to use a third party app, but I might consider it if there is no other fix. Thanks!

Hello lulu and welcome to the Palm forums.
I don't know of a way to make the color codes from iCal sync with the color codes on the Palm Z22. The Missing Sync for Palm OS has more features than Palm Desktop, but I also don't believe it will sync the category color codes.

  • How do I remove calendar events on my iPod Touch?

How do I remove events off of my calendar on my iPod Touch?  I do not see any option on the screen to remove them.

The iTunes app takes you to the iTunes Store (purple icon in your Home screen) to make purchases, tapping the Music app in the Dock (I said iTunes before, my mistake), is where your iTunes purchases are stored in your library where you can delete tracks if necessary.
You can only delete songs from your library.

  • Calendar events on iphone not appearing on imac or iPad

Wish it were that simple.  It's already set to on.  Any other suggestions?

  • Icloud calendar:  event update does not work

To "sync" my lotus notes calender with icloud I send an event invitation to my icloud-account. I open the Mail on my iOS-device and import the ics-file to the selected calender. That works fine. Sometimes things change and the event must be updated. So I send an event update. I open the Mail on my iOS- device an try to import the ics, but nothing happens. The event update is ignored by the iOS calendar. Whats wrong?

    Hi Alpa,
I tried the same thing you are having a problem with and it worked just fine for me using JDev 11.1.1.0.1
I created an entity object and an updateable view object and then inserted an editable table with a commit button on a jspx page.
I then switched CacheResults to false on the iterator.
When I run the program I can edit values, commit, and the updated values appear in the database.

  • Calendar events on iPhone not syncing to ical or Mobile Me -- Tiger OS

I had to replace my iPhone 3G with another iPhone 3G due to phone problems. Now, events that I had once put in to iCal are still showing up on my iPhone but are not on my iCal or Mobile Me calendar. As per advice on other threads, I did a complete reset through Sync. Now, I have duplicate calendars (different color coding) but still no events. Can someone please help? I'm not using Outlook, I'm using the Tiger OS.

    Thanks for reply.
In Settings>iCloud, my account is set up and appears under heading "iCloud."
In Settings>Mail, Contacts & Calendars, same account listed under heading "iCloud."
In Calendar list in iPhone Calendar app, new calendar is listing along with all others that are part of iCloud account.
All other calendars in that account sync, just not this new one with ics data imported to iPhone.

  • Modification of Gmail calendar event through BB not working

    Hello,
I am using Blackberry Bold 9900 and Microsoft Outlook 2010 to access my gmail account.
Everything is well synchronized (contacts, emails, etc.).
The calendar does not fully synchronize though:
When I create a new event on my BB calendar, it will also appear on my Gmail calendar (and Microsoft Outlook then).
But when I modify an already existing event on my BB calendar, it does not update on my Gmail (nor on Microsoft Outlook then).
For information, I almost never use gmail directly. I usually create events through Outlook calendar or BB calendar.
I would also add that I am not sure I had this issue before..
Thank you in advance for your help: I spend my time double updating my events..

So, no support on this issue?

  • How do I delete a calendar event (repeating daily forever) that I accepted on my iPhone from a mobileMe iCal invite?

    Hi,
I'd like to know how to delete a calendar event from my iPhone4 (iOS 5.1) calendar. The event was sent to me from a mobileMe synced iPhone4 (iOS 5.1) calendar and for some reason it was set to daily repeat forever.
The event has been deleted from the originators calendar now, but the result has not been propagated to my calendar, despite an update being sent out. When I attempt to accept it just hangs and doesn't update in my calendar.
More annoyingly, the event doesn't have an edit button in my calendar, so I cannot delete it (and all other occurences) myself.
Any ideas on how to remove it?
    Thanks,
    Rich

A workaround. Not perfect but it gets rid of it.
Do the below link's steps and then deselect that calendar from view.

  • How can I drag & drop / copy & paste COPY Calendar event on iPad iOS6?

How can I copy Calendar events on the iPad iOS 6?
I have read various forums on this subject and have not found an answer on how to perform this basic function.
To be clear, I am NOT asking how to drag & drop MOVE an event, rather how to duplicate an event.
In this way, I would not have to create a new event on a different date that is very similar to an existing one.
If I have missed this in the manual just tell me where it is discussed and I will check it again.
    Thank you!

    Hi,
I don't think it is possible to do that in iOS 5.
    Best wishes

  • Calendar invites from ios7 not being sent to exchange users

I have a personal iPad and want to keep my personal calendar separate from my work calendar (which is on Exchange) but do need to add occasional personal items into my work calendar. My thought was to simply add my work email address as an invitee to any event I need in both calendars but I've tried this a few times now and the invite never arrives.
Any suggestions as to what I've not got set up correctly?
    Thanks

I am having this problem as well.  Specifically, when I create a new calendar meeting I am able to add users to the invitation and when I save the invite it gets sent.  I have also modified an existing calendar event that has other people invited, and when I exit editing the meeting a pop up window specifically asks if I want to save my changes "and send it to the other invited participants" or something like that.
    I click yes.
In both cases (the original creation and invitation, and the modification and send update to attendees) nothing is received by the other recipients.  Not a calendar event or invitation, not an email with a .ics attachment or similar, or not even an email notification.
Thus, I set up an event in my calendar, invite others, and no one is aware that the event was set up.
Is there any way around this?  I don't think I'm doing anything wrong as the process of creating an event, inviting someone, and sending out the invitation seems pretty straight forward.  It just isn't working.

No u don't think so but what model phone do you have? Smartphones you can sync calendar events online but not basic phones that I know of

  • Cannot script Calendar Event 301

We were looking at writing a script which would default the Reference URL in an event to itself if no Reference URL had been supplied. Users can add an event, but then they cannot go and edit it after it has been added.
However, Calendar Event (301) is not in the list of classes to choose from when creating an event.
Any thoughts on how to write a script in reference a calendar event?

you could clean up the stuff, like cache, web history, history chat in social network, messages. and your activities on fastlane.
