Removing deleted CSA Kits for faster rule generation

I had to customize all the agent kits due to application requirements. However, I notice the deleted agent kit are still being compiled during a rule generation. Is there any way to purge them ?

Don't remove CSAAgentkit.exe though or you'll get an error when generating rules. I believe it's the base agent kit that custom kits are created with. You won't see it referenced during rule generation or listed in the kits.
It would be safer to move them, not delete them. That way you can restore them quickly if there are problems.

Rule: its name u give to the rule so we can call in DWS.
No: is sequence of the rule to be followed
Holiday calendar(3rd column) : HC of current day ie from 0 to 9 - here if we give "x" then its applicable eg:if 'x' is in 1st place then today is working as 0 ref as working day.
Holiday Calendar (4th column) : HC of next day ie from 0 to 9 - same ie "x" then applicable
Day: week day - Monday to Sunday -"x" then applicable
Variant : Define some variant that can be called in DWS
here in this rule it mentioned that in
Rule: 10- 1st - today is working day and tomorrow is either working/half day working/holiday the condition should be applicable on Friday because there are four dots before "x"
Rule: 10 - 2nd - today is working day and tomorrow being half day working then on Friday the conditions should be applicable.

Ready for resale First Generation iPad. Need to delete calendars and iBooks on iPad. Downloaded all info in iTunes. If I delete iBooks on the iPad only will it also delete all info in iTunes iBook purchases and downloads. I have backed up my calendars in MacBookPro. Please advise.

To wipe clean you have 2 options
1: Connect and select iPad in computer iTunes, in Summary tab, click Restore button.
2. iPad's Settings > General > Reset > Rest All Content and Settings.

There is a solution, but Cisco Support will not support it. You can delete the reference to the kits in the S
QL database. I have ended up working out there for both deployment
and upgrade kits when other methods have failed me. Be sure to back up your database in SQL before you begin.

Rule Generation fails

Hello!
We have an issue. After installation few month ago we uploaded standard files (according to postinstall steps) and now we are trying to load modified action/permission files.
We have a problem with Rule Generation programm. During rule generation job we have got a problem:
"Error while executing the Job:ERROR: Risk: F001 has exceeded the maximum number of rules (46,655) that can be generated for a risk"
According to note #1310365 on our side for F001 is all correct: F001 risk consist of two Functions - GL01 and GL02. GL01 has 168 actions, and GL02 has 56 actions, i.e. total 9408 rules (168*56). We think that it happens because we uploaded files for all systems and groups (for DEV200, PRD400and their group ERP Systems; for PRD420 and its group CUA), in this case 9408 * 5 (number of systems)=47040.
We have tried to upload empty files (action/permission with only one string in each), we hoped that it cleaned all information, and after this we can load SoD again. But it doesn't help...
What can we do?

After close study , i think i found some key point.
Per SAP note 1310365, max number of risk allowed per function are
tcodes in function1 X tcodes in func2 X 3
per example in note
Suppose you have a risk (P086) that includes three functions:
MD12 with 21 actions
BR08 with 46 actions
TS22 with 34 actions
This particular risk applies to three different versions of SAP, all running on your environment. In this example, P086 translates to 98,532 distinct rules.
98,532 = 21x46x34x3
also since you had already uploaded standard rule sets........ and when you upload modified files....... it must be containing old tcodes also........ those should be removed.

Publishing Reports with BO Integration Kit for SAP

I have the BO Integration Kit for SAP installed locally and have been able to publish the reports to the Enterprise Server. I'm also able to Open Reports from the SAP tab. However, I've created a lot of "test" reports which I no longer want to see in the list of reports. I've removed the reports from BO CMC but the Open Reports tab (SAP) still displays the ones I've removed from CMC. Where is this list stored? Are the report definitions stored within SAP? I've heard that the report definition is stored in SAP and the physical report is saved to the BO Enterprise Server. But no one within our SAP team has any idea and claim these are stored on the BO server.
(Someone tell me I'm not the only one in the universe trying to use Crystal Reports with SAP)

its part of the Transports of the SAP Integration Kit. You need to import the transports into the BW System

Delete all the channels faster

Hi,
I use the activeDocument.channels.removeAll() function for deleting all the channels, it works well but can be long.
I have a 6K PSD file with 12 extra channels and it takes 2 min to remove them all.
I'm looking for a way to delete all the channels faster.
I tried with actions but I don't achieve to speed up this step.
Is it possible to delete all the channels like the "Delete Hidden Layers" action which is quickly even with a huge PSD file containing many layers ? Or anything else ? If you have any idea or solution.

The code below uses the Action Manager API to remove alpha and spot channels from a document. It should be faster than the DOM and as fast as possible with a script.

Auto create View/Edit/Delete cfm pages for databsae records? Anyone remember CF Studio?

Anyone use Recordmaster wizard from back in the CF Studio
days?? Sometimes I really miss it! Is there anything comparable
available today for the current toolset (CFeclipse or Dreamweaver)?
RecordMaster was a little automated wizard thing that you could
just point to a DSN and a table, and it would build a nifty set of
basic pages to do admin stuff, namely view, add, edit and delete
records. Very good start to build quick and dirty admin pages, and
super easy.
There was even a little built in Studio wizard that would
generate record view/edit/delete pages. All just basic cfm, no
cfc's.
Anyhing? I've got to build some admin type pages here on a
table with lots of fields and don't want to do it all from scratch.
If I can't find anything, I may search my CD archives for an old
version of Studio just to use RecordMaster! What do others use for
fast creation of database record admin pages???

Not exactly what you are looking for, but take a look at
reactor (
http://www.alagad.com/go/products-and-projects/reactor-for-coldfusion).
It will create a database abstration layer on-the-fly for simple
CRUD operations. A similar solution would be Illudium PU-36 (
http://cfcgenerator.riaforge.org/).
Similar concept to reactor, but used for one-time
generation.

System Recovery Kit for dv7-3165dx fails to restore factory image to replacement hd

I'm posting this wall of text here in case someone else has any suggestions before I contact HP Support to see what options they have.
My attempt to recover the factory image to a replacement hard drive in an HP Pavilion dv7-3165dx notebook is failing. An error occurs when SM.exe is trying to merge the WIM files. The SSRD.Log shows an error:
SM, 13, Set reference file fail
after that, SM.exe displays this message when run from a command line:
SM, Failure, Can not load imagex 1 from src WIM file
The following are the symptoms that the Recovery Manager displays on the screen.
The Recovery Manager reads the two DVDs and after a few seconds, it pops up an error message:
Reducer
C:\RM\Image\TempBASE.WIM was not found.
The message has on "OK" button that when clicked on, closes the message window.
After that, nothing happens. No disk or DVD activity for over an hour. The mouse moves, but no key presses have any effect, including CTRL-ALT-DEL. You can use the mouse to move the Recovery Manager window around, and there is nothing hidden behind it. Clicking on the Recovery Manager Back, Next, or Cancel buttons produce no response at all.
The only option at this point is to hold down the power switch until it powers down.
When the power is turned back on, the hard drive boots and Recovery Manager displays a message that incorrectly claims "Recovery is complete" and has a "Click Finish to restart" button. After clicking on "Finish", it reboots but since the System Recovery did not actually complete, all it does is display:
BOOTMGR is missing
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart
Before attempting the recovery, the notebook passed all diagnostic tests.
The 2x2GB memory cards, which still have HP stickers on them, were tested with Memtest86+ V5.01 and completed over six passes in over seven hours with zero errors.
The replacement 500GB HGST Travelstar Z5K500 drive was tested with gsmartcontrol. The SMART status showed no errors in the past with over 400 hours of power-on time. Both of the SMART short self-test and extended self-test tests were run, which it passed without any errors.
The HP System Diagnostics from the Startup Menu were run on the memory and hard drive and they passed those tests without any errors.
While waiting for the HP "System Recovery Kit for Consumer Notebook (3 Disks)" Software Part Number 599357-001 to arrive, both Fedora 21 64bit and Windows Vista 64bit were successfully installed on the harddrive.
Both System Recovery DVDs were read on different machines without any errors. This System Recovery Kit supports the notebook's System Id which is 3638, so they appear to be the correct discs.
Now a list of workaround attempts that were suggested.
After the Recovery Manager failed a few times with the same error message, some googling came up with other users mentioning the "TempBASE.WIM was not found" error message. I tried these suggestions that I read about.
Run KillDisk to fill the HD with zeros.
Running Recovery Manager after that failed with the same error message.
Run the CyberLink Recovery Discs Utility (sp44645.exe).
Running Recovery Manager after that failed with the same error message.
Installed Windows VISTA 64bit again and upgraded the BIOS from F10 to F13.
Running Recovery Manager after that failed with the same error message.
Try only using a single 2GB memory card to see if it was a 64bit problem.
Running Recovery Manager after that failed with the same error message.
The BIOS does not have an option to change from AHCI mode to IDE mode.
I don't have a Windows 7 OEM install disc and am trying to avoid spending $100 to buy one.
That is when I decided that it is not a PC hardware problem, but a problem with the HP System Recovery Kit. Here are the details of what I think the Kit is doing.
After running Recovery Manager and getting the error message, instead of just re-booting and letting the "Recovery is complete" message appear, I re-booted with a Linux USB drive and inspected what was on the hard drive.
fdisk -l shows this:

Running gparted shows about 200 MB of unallocated space before the sda1 NTFS partition. The rest of the disk is unallocated after the bootable sda2.
The sda1 NTFS partition has a \SSRD.Log file and an empty \RM\Image directory.
The sda2 FAT32 partition has the Recovery Manager application files in it:

The SOURCES directory has boot.wim, and the TOOL directory has all the programs, like Reducer.exe and SM.exe, in it.
After shutting down the Linux system and rebooting, the Recovery Manager then boots from sda2 and displays the "Recovery is complete" message and "Click Finish to restart" button. During this process, it removes the sda2 partition and marks the sda1 NTFS partition as the active bootable partition. When the PC restarts, all that is left is the sda1 NTFS partition with the empty C:\RM\Image directory and the SSRD.Log file, so there is no BOOTMGR to boot with.
The SSRD.Log file logs the tasks that the Recovery Manager performs.
The Recovery Manager runs some initialization tasks and then reads the two System Recovery DVDs. It then calls MergeWimFile which runs SM.exe and starts to merge BASE.WIM with the other BASE*.WIM files. SM.exe merges 20 WIM files with log entries like these:

This must be when Recovery Manager pops up the "Reducer C:\RM\Image\TempBASE.WIM was not found" error message.
That narrowed down the problem.
I copied all of the WIM files and the TOOLS directory to a Windows 8.1 system. The two DVDs did not have any errors while being read. Running SM.exe from an admin Command Prompt with the same parameters that were logged in the SSRD.Log produced the same error message. There was an additional error message that appeared in the Command Prompt window:
SM, 13, Set reference file fail
SM, Failure, Can not load imagex 1 from src WIM file
and the TempBASE.WIM was not created.
SM.exe /? did not provide a help message. I could not find any documentation on the SM.exe command.
If I removed three of the WIM files, (BASE7.WIM BASE8.WIM BASE9.WIM) then SM.exe could create the TempBASE.WIM file, but it would fail while merging index 2 of 3 with this message:

SM, Failed, Export image failed
The TempBASE.WIM is 3,421,518 KB in size after that.
This is where I came to a dead end and cannot think of anything else that I can do. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but it appears to me that there was some kind of error building this System Recovery Kit and it is not able to perform a factory install on this notebook.

If I can figure out how to add an attachment, I will add the SSRD.Log file. If not, then ask and I will post it as a followup.

Downloaded Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit which contains the latest imagex program.
Running imagex.exe on the BASE7.WIM file on the second System Recovery DVD:

The data is invalid.
The same error message is shown for BASE7.WIM, BASE8.WIM, and BASE9.WIM.
The other WIM files in the PRELOAD directory, BASE5.WIM, BASE6.WIM, BASE10.WIM, BASE13.WIM, BASE15.WIM, BASE17.WIM and BASE23.WIM, could be read by imagex without any errors.

Did you perform a complete service definition replacement for SDCC/SDCCN as described in the note?
These are manual steps you need to perform on the system and are not code corrections.
I would suggest you perform it, if you have not, and check the SDCCN logs to review the process ran cleanly.
Note: Please make sure SDCC_OSS is functioning and a connection to SAP can be made before
deleting the service definitions.
If you have already replaced the service defintions on the Solution Manager system, then no point doing it again. However checking a note and applying it are not the same thing. So I am uncertain if you replaced the service definitions or not. The dump you are getting in SM:EXEC SERVICES suggests its due to a problem with the service definitons. The recommendation is to replace them according to the process described in SAP Note 727998. If you have not done so please do so.
If you have successfully replaced the service definitions are you still getting the same dump, or has it possibly changed?

Whe try then to generete the rules in foreground to see what happens and we got a different error:
Error in Rule Generation! Reason:ResourceException in method ConnectionFactoryImpl.getConnection():
com.sap.engine.services.connector.exceptions.BaseResourceException: Cannot get connection for 120 seconds.
Possible reasons:
1) Connections are cached within SystemThread(can be any server service or any code invoked within SystemThread in the SAP J2EE Engine),
2) The pool size of adapter "SAPSR3DB" is not enough according to the current load of the system or
3) The specified time to wait for connection is not enough according to the pool size and current load of the system.
In case 1) the solution is to check for cached connections using the Connector Service list-conns command,
in case 2) to increase the size of the pool and
in case 3) to increase the time to wait for connection property. In case of application thread,
there is an automatic mechanism which detects unclosed connections and unfinished transactions.
Reading the descriptions in both errors, it seems like the RAR application is trying to connect to the back end system during rule generation. Is this correct?
We followed all the recommendations indicated in the post-installation for RAR 5.3.
Any ideas??

also check if you have done eisk analysis performance tuning
for :
batch size - 1000,
number of web service threads - 5,
number of background job worker threads - 3,
rfc timeout for web services/background job worker threads ( min) - 1441.

How to delete the coverages for an ACTIVE service contract ?

Hi ,
     I have created coverages for few service lines for a service contract in R12. The contract is in ACTIVE status. If it was in ENTERED state, I could use OKS_COVERAGES_PUB.DELETE_COVERAGE to delete the coverages. But this contract is in ACTIVE status.
     Basically I want the lines lse_id=2,3 removed for a particular line (lse_id=1) which were created by using OKS_CONTRACTS_PUB.CREATE_SERVICE_LINE. This contract has a standard coverage and hence there should not be lines with lse_id=2,3 for that particular service line .
     Also, I am not able to delete a coverage for an EXPIRED contract.
     Please let me know if you need more information on this.

Achim was right on. Edit/Change the Internet Service in R/3. A few things to consider though....
(1) if using the original service, you may want to create a copy of theme 99 into your own theme (any number will do...99 is just the default theme). If doing so, be sure to change the service's service file (yeh, I always loved that about SAP's naming) to point the ~theme paramter to your new theme.
or
(2) Copy the entire service into your own "Z" service. Then modify the templates as you wish. You will need to point the iView to this "Z" service too.
Also, it is best to do it via SE80 vs. file level because then it will be part of a transport and follow the correct path through the landscape.
Now, if you really want to go back to R/3....find the function module or program the transaction code for your service actually calls, make a "Z" version of it, modify it, create your own "Z" t-code to call it, and THEN modify the internet service's service file (either the original SAP one or a custom version) to call your new "Z" t-code. Lot of work...yes, I know....but that's the way it's done if you gotta get back down to the ABAP level.

Why won't ios 3.1.1 download for the 1st generation ipod touch? It will start and then a second later stop.

Does it happen with the apps that came with the iPod?
Does it happen with all apps you have downloaded/installed?
Have you ried deleting the apps and redownload/install the apps? You will not be charged again if you are signed into the same iTunes account that originally purchased the apps.
Next would be to restore from backup
Last would be to restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
