Removing Download option in Photo Album

Im doing a web to show my photo work, Im using a photo Album, I want to remove the download option, I don´t want to give the option of downloading to the people that will visit it.

How to allow page visitors to download a whole photo album

hi guys
i think i have seen on mobile.me hosted websites an option to allow visitors to download a whole photo album as a zipped file.
i would like to offer the same to my visitors but host my site not at mobile.me but a private hosting company.
is there any way to do this? in a "normal" iWeb album (which i usually import from iPhoto) there is no such option.

You'r welcome, george.
If you link the zip file as a file via the "link to file > choose file" dialog, , then iWeb should automatically include the zip file with all the other media (photos and so on) it includes in your page. So you would automatically upload it with all the rest of your page when you upload your page with cyberduck and don't have to worry about it.
Alternatively, you could upload the zipfile to your provider, figure out the URL and link it as "external link", this way, it wouldn't waste space in your library.

How to remove "Download" option on my photos?

I have developed my photography web site in iWeb 08. When you click on a photo to enlarge it, there are three options above the enlarged photo: Back to Album, Slideshow or Download. I do not want to allow downloading. How can I remove this option?

As you suggested, I checked the box "Display Comment Indicator" and re-published my web page. The Download option is still there when images are clicked and enlarged.
Previously, I had both the "Allow Comments" and "Display Comment Indicator" unchecked.
It must be somewhere else.

when I set up my 'new' iphone 4, itunes automatically downloaded to my phone my other family members photos albums. How do I remove them? The labums that I do not want on my phone are taking up storage space on my phone!! I am obviously not tech savvy!!

I download my 5 photo "albums" to my iphone 5s directly from my pc but when I look at the iphone the albums are all mixed up ..or by location or my year..how do I get the albums just like I have them separate my name like I had them on my iphone 4s ..

I am new to iphone 5 s and have no idea how to change the photo albums to be separate by name and not the mess that is now.

At the bottom of the Photos screen there are 2 choices: Photos and Albums. Tap on Albums. That should display the pictures in the same folders that you synced from your computer. If it does not, you may need to look at what selections you made on the photos tab of iTunes and sync again. If using a Windows computer and iTunes, you should be able to organize the photos in multiple folders within a main folder and then set the sync to the main folder.

Remove Download link for photos

I'm using the Darkroom theme to create a site and have added some photo pages. Each photo page includes a "Download" link, which I'd like to remove.
In the Inspector, I can see how to change the size of the download file and I can also see how to enable and disable and RSS subscription link but the Download link remains stubbornly in place.
What should I do to remove the Download link?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Go to the Inspector/Photos/Photos pane and set the photos download size to "none".

Is there a way to download the other photo albums off of my iphone

About 2 months ago my computer crashed and i lost everything. including all my photos.
The photos stayed on my iphone and are still seperated into the albums that iphoto made but when i go to sync it with iphoto i can only import the photos i have taken with my camera not the other albums.
is there anyway to download the other albums off of my iphone so i can have those photos back?

When you installed Win 7, did you lose all other data on your computer in addition to your iTunes library and photos, or did you create a backup for other data beforehand which didn't include your iTunes library and photos stored on your computer's hard drive?
The iPhone is not designed nor intended to be a backup device and for many people, a 16GB iPhone does not store their entire iTunes library. Even if you transfer all photos available on your computer to your iPhone, all photos are optimized for viewing on your iPhone, so if Apple did support transferring these photos in the opposite direction, the original resolution of these photos would be lost.

Delete download option for photographs

I am a professional photographer and don't want to make it so easy for people to download my images. How can I get rid of the download option in an album when the user clicks on a single photograph?

As a professional photographer myself, I understand the above poster's concern. I too use iWeb to create quick online galleries but was surprised to find the new iWeb create a "Download" button. I immediately came here for help after spending about an hour trying to find that magic button to disable this function. Surely Apple would not do this to the many photographers that use their app. Or so I thought.
I understand that all the web-savvy user had to do in the original iWeb was right click on a photo to save or simply drag it to one's desktop on the Mac. I felt that my copyright disclaimer was enough to place the burden on the viewers concience. The problem I have with Apple automatically including this button on all photo pages is that it communicates the wrong message that the owner of that particular page (the photographer) supports and is encouraging others to download the images for their own free use. Why have the disclaimer and then include a download button?
This may be a dealbreaker for me. I purchased Rapid Weaver a short while ago but never did use it. I can't believe I may actually have to switch because of this very important oversight.

Portrait Photo Album not available in v10

I'm beginning to wish I had not bought this software. I want to create a portrait orientated photo album but only landscape and square options are available. SQUARE? Who the heck would print a square album?
From searching the forum on this subject I see folks wanting this 6 years ago so Adobe have no intention of adding a portrait option to Photo Album. Add this to the no 'sort by name' in Organizer and I wonder how Elements 10 gets the ratings it does.

One of the big advantages of PSE over many competitors is that you can take advantage of layers and layer masks. That's even a big plus over Lightroom, and the reason why many LR users also use Elements as a pixel editor after the main edits have been made in LR.
Creating a book is creating composite pages including various images and texts and finally providing the resulting pages in a format compatible with your printing provider or your home printer.
A photo book is not very different to any other illustrated book made by layout softwares such as Quark Express, InDesign or Scribus : the main accent is on the photos, less on the text. It is very common to provide either jpegs or pdfs to your provider.
Most of the providers I am working with in France call for jpegs. I am also very happy with viovio in the States, they can take either jpegs or pdfs. You'll also find a lot of info about making books and a variety of templates for layouts. What you'll notice is that most providers on the Web offer a wide choice of templates to create pleasant layouts. What you can do with the 'create' option in PSE cal also be done with most other suppliers. And you can create your own layouts with the normal 'full edit' view in PSE rather than the 'create' assistant.
Here are common steps when I am creating a book:
- writing a kind of scenario to have an idea of the different parts of the book and its number of pages
- using the Organizer to select the files, tagging, rating and finally creating one or several albums to help creating the pages
- searching files to create 'backgrounds' on which pictures and text will be superimposed. In this phase I may use gradients, textures, shapes...
- Composing pages is made by adding each picture or text element as individual layers, which you can resize and move at any time. You may use a variety of templates for this, but I prefer more freedom in the way I compose the page.
- Using layer styles like drop shadows for different layers, adding text effects (bevels...)
- saving each page as psd to keep all layers until the job is finished
- Depending on your provider's requirements, upload all your jpeg pages, or upload a multipage pdf.

Have IPhone 4S with 1000 photos that I need to download FROM IPHONE PHOTO LIBRARY to a SanDisk since I nuked my photos on PC. Icloud sysc and sync to PC didi not work and wiped out IPAD Photos.

Question on how to download photos from IPhone 4S to backup SanDisk - nuked files on 1) camera SansDisk and camera download to PC which IPhone and IPad was synced to. When I synced IPad to PC it wiped out all photos so down to just one backup on IPhone.

This helped to know it is one-way and that is why my IPad got nuked. Is there any software you are aware of that can download or transfer photo albums, not camera rolls or those taken by iphone, toa disc? there are apps on itunes that I tr5ied but only worked on camera rolls or phtos take with iphone. I have over 1,000 photos and do not want to make 1,000 emails of redueced size photos that loses original jpg date and data.

Remove the photo download option - Can it be this easy?

So I've been using the html snippet to disable the download button. While I was fixing some stuff tonight. I stumbled upon this.
Go into you photo and click the inspector - blue "i" at the bottom tool bar. A little window will open up. Click on the third icon, a little picture. Click Photos. Select "None" in the photosharing download size drop down menu. The Download option disappears in the album. I just tried it and it works! The download option in the published site is gone.
