Removing easy connect audio from output sources

I'm not sure where it came from, but I have an option for "easy connect audio" in my sound output settings. For some reason, the computer continuously reverts to this, and even though I've deleted the audio pref. files, it won't seem to go away. Any ideas on how to remove this pesky, non-exsistant speaker?

You probably got easy connect audio from easy connect, a remote desktop application.
The problem is that it's a kernel extension, so you won't just be able to delete it, at least i couldn't locate it.
If you want to delete it, do the following.
1) get the easy connect install package(search for the easy connect application)
2) begin the install process, until the part where you have accepted the license agreement
3) choose custom install
4) uncheck easy connect
5) choose a different location for AnteceaAudioDriver, i recommend an empty folder on the desktop.
6) under the custom install window, the action should now say upgrade under the "Action" header, hit install
7) On your desktop in the folder you specified for install, you will now find a file called AnteceaAudioDrv.kxt or something similar, DELETE it and your troubles are over!

  • Sys update removed built-in speakers from output options

    Hello All:
Can anyone help me get my sound working again? Can someone tell Apple they shouldn't have fired everyone who checks that their updates don't screw up machines in other ways?
Problem: No sound after installing updates. Built-in speakers have been removed from sound output preferences dialog.
    System: 10.4.11
Hdwr: MacbookPro 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Details:
    Yesterday I installed two updates:
    2009-05-24 13:06:57 -0700: Installed "Security Update 2009-002 (Intel)" (1.0)
    2009-06-08 00:56:54 -0700: Installed "Safari" (3.2.3)
After, no sound comes out of my built-in speakers. Machine has been re-booted, sound control panel checked many tiems, etc. The only options in the sound pane>output are :
    digital out Port=Built-in Output
    soundflower (2ch)
    soundflower (16ch)
All options say, "Settings for this selected device: The selected device has no output controls".
So, the built-in speakers have been zorched somehow.
Apple help doesn't say much other than make sure nothing plugged into headphone jack (there isn't).
I now cannot participate in any of my scheduled skype conferences ---crap crap crap.
The last security update caused deletions of libraries for x11 on my G5 10.3 machine, now this one has killed my sound on my other machine. Fixing the aftermath of these updates have really become a time-sink. I wish someone would tell Apple to take a little more care with testing these updates.
    Apple engineers, are you listening?
    Thanks,
    -Bruce

Sorry, I just got a fix for my own question: "sys update removed built-in speakers from output options"
This was provided by www.mac-forums.com. Apparently, this was a ???coincidence??? and a hardware problem, not a software problem(!).
BTW I didn't resort to WD-40, I just plugged in a sound cable repeatedly.
Thank you all for putting up with me, and I do apologize to apple for dis-ing their testing this time (but not last time when they zorched my x11 libraries!)

    <quote>
For MacBook Pro owners this is commonly characterised by:
    * the internal speakers still chime when your Mac is powered on
    * a 'no parking' like symbol appearing below the sound icon whenever you attempt to manipulate the volume on your Mac
    * the red light that continues to emanate from the audio output port
    * only "Digital audio out" as the only output source displayed in the Sound pane of the System Preferences.
If you have these symptoms, we recommend a very gentle and minute tinkle of WD-40 into the audio output jack, followed by gently inserting and removing the audio input jack a few times. At least until the sound is returned to normal and red light ceases to glow from the audio output jack.
Remember, we said "tinkle" not spraying into the jack like there's no tomorrow...
Following the steps above will give you a good chance of restoring your internal audio.
    </quote>
This worked for me; doubtless, there had been dust or smear or something else polluting the macintosh perfection. Everything else people are doing is incidental and only coincidentally will have effect. Sorry, but this is a mechanical issue, not a software one.

2nd is my speakers advanced settings, nothing changed when I disabled "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device"

I see that the option called “give exclusive mode applications priority” has been checked.
Usually different applications and programs can access the sound card simultaneously.
For example: you can hear the sound in game, while you can run your own music via an external player.
This is prevented with these options “give exclusive mode applications priority”.
Maybe you should disable (uncheck) this option to prevent the different applications for using this exclusive mode stream.
I did it for my DAC. I set the DAC for exclusive mode. Once my audio playback software starts to play music, no other software is able to share the DAC.
However, I use Win 7 and Realtek sound driver… It’s another configuration.
So it’s not known to me if your issue is related Win 8.1 system or maybe limitation of sound driver… it could be also possible that one of your sound applications don’t allow multiple sound streaming.

  • Simultaneous audio from outputs 1-2 and outputs 3-4?

    Hi guys,
How do I get simultaneous audio from outputs 1-2 and outputs 3-4? I'm running Logicpro 7.1 through an M-Audio FW 410 hardware interface.
I'm trying to set things up so I can monitor through my mixing board to eleminate the weird echo sound you get in your headphones when recording.
I thought I could do it in logic by creating an ouput 1-2 and output 3-4 channel strip where ouput 3-4 will have the "i/o" plugin and in the plugin settings, Out would be set to 3-4 and input set to 1-2, this way sound will always come out of output 1-2 which will go to my speakers and output 3-4 to my mixing board. Please help!

I'm trying to set things up so I can monitor through my mixing board to eleminate the weird echo sound you get in your headphones when recording.
The 'weird echo sound' is because you are hearing Logic's software monitoring alongside direct monitoring of the inputs (either via the interface, or your mixer, depending where the headphones are plugged in.)
You can avoid this by setting the monitoring level on the record-enabled track to zero. (recording tracks have two level settings. Normal playback and record input monitoring. See page 282 in the Logic Pro reference manual.) It will not affect your record levels, or your input metering.

  • Recording Audio from additional sources:  Why doesn't the "Audio File" show

Hi, when recording audio from another source and saving: where does logic store the file? Shouldn't it be in the "audio' folder or the set path you set it to>?
For some reason after we record the "Audio File" we recorded is not to be found in the "Audio" folder we created within our project?
    clues?

Can you define "from another source". I'll assume for now, you mean, from an external live source, like a vocal, or guitar.
Yes, if you had saved the song using the "Save As Project" command, the audio path to that songs audio folder should have been set. and all audio files recorded into that song would reside in that location.
The only thing that you might want to check, is hit "A" with the song open, and make sure "choose path" is set to "Song Recording Path" and not "Global Recording Path".

  • Audio from flash sources is playing in the background, even though the sources of these have been closed.

Audio from flash sources are still playing in the background after their sources have been closed; audio also starts playing when I start the browser. Closing plugin-container.exe in task manager solves this, but I do not want to do this every time I have audio in the background that should not be there. Not a good move to launch a browser where the kinks haven't been worked out. Have tried to inactivate addons etc. This problem is related to FF5, but have also happened earlier, with FF4. Solved that time by moving to Chrome instead.

    Sounds that the plugin-container process isn't closing properly.<br />

  • Looking for a wireless audio from any source`

I have an Apple TV, iPhone 6, and Dell PC.  I am shopping for a  self-amplified speaker system which can WIRELESSLY stream audio over my home WIFI network (probably not Bluetooth) for BOTH the following:
MUSIC AUDIO, from ITunes, Spotify, apps from iPhone or PC
VIDEO AUDIO, from Apple TV or broadcast TV
Shopping around there seem to be several brands which  do one or the other, but it’s not clear to me there is any system that does both. Is that true?
For example, Apple’s AIRPLAY enabled speakers (or normal speakers hardwired to my TV) seem require streaming though Apple TV. Can I also stream Spotify or other apps with AIRPLAY speakers?  And NON-AIRPLAY speakers (like SONOS) clearly support most streaming sources, however do they also work with Apple TV for video, and if so without hardwiring the speaker to the TV?
I’m looking for something that does it all, and without complicated workarounds, and with a seamless interface on my device. Wirelessness of the speaker itself—i.e. not hardwired to signal source like SONOS does—would be an added bonus, but not necessary.
Some brands I am looking at: KEF  SONOS  Bowers & Wilkins Bose
Can you help me, or set me straight if I am wrong about these assumptions?

you should checkout the program called airfoil it let the user stream audio with airplay from any program not just itunes
so that would make spotify be able to play out of airplay speakers be it an Apple TV or airport express with speakers connector or a
device which was build to support airplay

  • Stream audio from a source

    Hi,
I was wondering if it were possible to stream audio from an internet radio station. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Many thanks in advance!

    I found this: http://techtips.salon.com/use-iphone-webcam-3623.html
I would suggest the use of an analog capture card, like a Dazzle, and the official Apple Composite video cable. I'm not sure if it would work, but the systematics would be (Output) (phone)—(Input)-Output (capture card)—Input (your PC)
I can't verify this, maybe if I get the Apple AV cable I can, since I have everything else.

  • Autosync - Sync Detection Problem with Video/Audio from different sources

    Hi,
    i've got the following problem:
I'm editing a feature film, where video comes from tape and audio from harddisc-recorder. The clips are combined/linked manually via in-point (slate).
If I cut this video/audio combined clip in the timeline, and move only the audio 3 frames to the right, sync detection informs me correct about the out of sync problem (3 frames). BUT: If I split the audio file in two pieces, the left clip still has the "out of sync" info in the timeline and remains "linked" to the video, but the right clip doesn't show his relation to the video anymore !!!
    Is this a bug ?
Because, if I use video and audio from one "media-source", ex dv, the sync detection in the timeline is working correct with the above example ?
I'm lookin' for a similar way to sync clips like autosync with media-composer and thought combine audio and video clip to a new combined clip should do this....
    Thanks for help !

I have my waveforms back! Thank you SO MUCH! I looked everywhere and just couldn't find a setting for this.
As for the sync, I guess that's OK - it's no worse than what I had before (and with the waveforms back, less of an issue to do manually). Would be nice if they'd add the ability to offset the audio track in the Modify Clip screen at some point (and it would open up the multi-cam sync feature to more users), but I can cope without for now.
    Thanks again for your help.

  • Recording audio from another source

I have several minidiscs with files that I would like to record into Garage
Band (in real time). I thought I could accomplish this by simply connecting the MD to my MacBook using an analog mini plug.
I've tried to do this, and have come up empty. And yes, the sound recorder is set to input in the preferences section. Am I missing a step? Or is it impossible
to record outside sources into Garage Band in real time?

    Hi dvl
Hope this helps Open up your system preferences and select your method of input and output. Probably headphones out for your output and external microphone/line in for your input. I am assuming that you are using your macs built in sound options. Go to applications folder and open up your utilities folder and open up the app Audio/Midi. Make sure that you are using Built-in Audio for your input and output. Open up GB, click on Garageband and go to the preferences menu. Make sure that it says under the Audio/Midi menu Built-in Audio for the input and output. Create a real track in GB, basic track and you should be good to go.

  • How do I remove all connected devices from my itunes account?

I recently let a friend use my itunes account to download an app on their 3rd gen ipod touch. I have already changed my password and email address associated with my itunes account. Their ipod was never synced to my computer, so it does not come up when I got into my itunes account and try to manage all the devices associated with it. I've already used my deauthorize all button once before. My ultimate goal is to have the app disappear on their ipod touch, is there anyway to do that? Was just changing my email address and password enough to get it off of their ipod touch?

Changing the access list associated with your account won't delete content off his iPod.
Changing the account prevents him from downloading new content under your account, including updates to existing applications, but it won't remove currently-installed applications. That will only happen when the device is connected to iTunes and a manual sync is performed.

  • Connecting Audio from DV1000 to TV

Have a DV1000 Pavillion that I want to connect to Toshiba HD LCD TV. Has monitor cable but no HDMI. Connected monitor cable no problem. trying to figure what audio cable I need. TV manual shows a Y PC output to PC audio cable input. Would single male to male stereo audio cable work?
    Any suggestions?

The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody and the Late 2009 model 6,1 and Mid 2010 model 7,1 White Unibody have a Mini DisplayPort. The Early 2006 model 1,1 through Early 2008 model 4,1s plus the Early and Mid 2009 model 5,2s have Mini-DVI ports.
The Mini-DVI to HDMI doesn't carry audio. If you connect the MacBook using a Mini-DVI to HDMI adapter you will probably need to use external speakers or a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA sound plugs connected to a stereo system for audio if your TV doesn't have separate RCA input plugs or a 3.5mm stereo input plug for audio with the HDMI plug.
The Mini DisplayPort to HDMI doesn't carry audio unless you have the Mid 2010 model 7,1 and there're no audio plugs on most TVs to work with HDMI since it's expecting audio with the HDMI. Check your TV manual to see if it has audio plugs that work with one of the HDMI ports.
If you have the Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody or Late 2009 model 6,1 White Unibody with the Mini DisplayPort rather than the Mini-DVI there is an adapter that uses the Mini DisplayPort and a USB port to combine video and audio to HDMI. It's only 2 channel stereo not 5.1 Dolby Surround.

  • No audio from outputs 2 and 3 since Windows 7 install

? I have recently upgraded my PC from Windows XP to Windows 7 (32-bit). I am using a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 card.
My problem is, since upgrading to Windows 7, the audigy card is no longer sending a signal out via the output jacks 2 and 3 (black and yellow). The green speaker output jack is working fine.
I have my speakers connected to the green output jack, but I also have a logitech headset with mic connected to the pink mic in jack, and black line out jack. I can no longer hear sounds via the headphones, but the mic is definitely working.
I have been into the 'playback devices' in Windows 7, but can't seem to get it working. My speakers are configured as the 'default playback device' and 'SPDIF out' is showing as 'ready'. Also, under Speakers properties, the Jack Information says 'No Jack Information Available'.
I am using the Creative SB Audigy 2 (WDM) driver v6.0..37.
    Any help much appreciated :-)

One of the ThinkPad Wireless (Realtek) drivers should work.
You can also put in your Hardware ID (Properties for it under Device Manager) into Wikidrivers and see if you get a match. It may be the Realtek RTL8192SE or RTL8191SE, but I'm not entirely certain.

  • How to connect audio from ASUS TV FM Card to SB Audigy 4 Ca

I haven't installed the ASUS TV FM Card?yet but I see in the manual that it has an onboard connector for audio which can either go to the motherboard or a sound card (2 plugs on leads, one small, white and the other larger and black). In my case it would have to be the sound card as my onboard audio is disabled. I've been trying to find a detailed spec diagram of my audio card so that I can get the installation details into my brain before messing around inside my PC case. Is there a "Line-in JP Audio-input" on this card?Or do I have to connect the ASUS card to the motherboard - question there is will the sound work?Do I need to connect the audio at all with a PCI slotThis is all above my head and I would appreciate any help.Anyone any hints on this please?Message Edited by Ex-Brit on 0-27-200609:00 AM

The Best solution is to connect the sound directly to the sound card (eventually it gets there anyway ... even if you connect it to the cards audio input)
depending on what type of connector you have on the TV (SCART/RCA) you`ll need some adapters.
the one you`ll most probably need is an RCA Audio -> 3.5 Stereo jack adapter.
