Removing email sugesstion for sending photos

Hi,
I'm posting this because I'm nearly going nuts every time I send a captured photo by using my N86's built in photo sending option (I view the image and in the toolbar select Send with the envelope icon).
I choose to send my photo by email, and when I get to entering the email adress, I get 2 suggestions for email adresses - my old email adress and my new one. This is annoying because I quite often by accident pick the old email adress (the adresses are almost the same) from the list and can't understand why I don't receive my photo, until I check and find out I sent it to the wrong adress
Is there some way to remove these suggestions? And how?

The email adress isn't for a contact - I have just typed it in when I wanted to send a photo to my email adress.
The thing is, I get 2 suggestions when I start typing my email adress when I want to send a photo. One suggestion is for my current adress, the other suggestion for my former, which I don't use anymore.
The adress I use now is the one I use for my mail box on the phone. The other (the old adress) has never been used on the phone besides when I have been sending photos by viewing the image in Photos and then selecting Send (the envelope icon) and send Via e-mail.

After each step, toggle FaceTime and iMessage off and then on in Settings > Messages and Settings > FaceTime.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
Ensure that your iPhone is set to the correct time zone. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: If Set Automatically is on but the incorrect time zone is displayed, turn Set Automatically off and then choose the correct time zone, date, and time. Then turn Set Automatically on again.
Ensure that FaceTime has not been restricted: Settings > General > Restrictions > FaceTime.
Verify that you can send SMS messages. You need a valid SMS messaging plan to activate FaceTime.
Contact your carrier to verify that there are no restrictions or blocks on text messages. Blocks on text messaging will prevent iMessage and FaceTime registration.
If you are unable to activate iMessage or FaceTime on a device after remote wiping it, wait at least 24 hours and try again.
If "Waiting for Activation" is displayed, leave FaceTime and iMessage enabled for 24 hours. Toggling FaceTime or iMessage off and on will cause the registration process to start over.

is there any way to setup a email account for sending only? i have a pop account that i fwd to my google acct, so all my mail is mapi thru google/exchange. i do need this account as a send email address so currently i have entered a wrong password so i do not duplicate my inbox. its annoying as i get the bad reteival popup continuessly. Many email products, like outlook allow you to decide which accounts to download. it should be a simple fix from Apple, but dont think there is any one to talk too about this. other option is to use the gmail app or chrome, but like apple's email better for iphone Any ideas??

Image Attachment instead of embedded image (for sending photos)

Hi,
Is there a way to make mail send photos as an attachment rather than as an embedded image in the email? My colleagues are using Lotus Notes at work. Everytime I send them photos, they complain to me that they are having a hard time downloading the pictures 'coz they cannot simply click on it and save.

I sent mail in text-only format and put attachments at the very end of the message. I think photos and images are shown inline when send in a message in formatted-text format.
Putting the files at the very end of the message prevents the mail being "split up" in several parts (body, photo attachment, and signature as attachment) which is also annoying for Windows users.
I have to admit that I don't know if this works with Lotus Notes, but you could give it a try.

How can I use Thunderbird email client to send photos

Hi,
I am having lots of problems trying to send photos PSE8 with Outlook Express and Outlook and really don't use either of them for regular email. How can I edit the sharing "Choice" to allow Thunderbird? Anything in the Registry to edit? I don't want to reload XP, going back to an earlier install just to get Outlook back working. Too many wondows updates to make sense of that.
And if it can't be done, when will Adobe PSE8 give us a patch to add more email client choices for their user base?

.mac email: can't send photos, my password is refused mail sent to OUTBOX.

I start in iPhoto and choose 4 photos to send, then type a short message. I click send from my mac.com email and get a request for a password. I type in my password and get "password not valid" reply. the mail goes to "OUTBOX" and sits there. I have resent these from the outbox over and over again. I get and send text messages with .Mac just fine.
I am using a MacBook Pro 15 inch dual processor.
I called the u.s.a. Apple Protection phone # on 011907 and was told by Jeremy to reset my password, that didn't help. He then offered that he could not do anything and I should search the Apple sites. I asked if he would extend the Protection Plan for the time since Nov. 17, 2006 that this is happining. He said that's not his department.
CAN anyone help???

I have a .Mac account. When I choose to send photo's from iPhoto, they open in a draft in the Apple Mail program. Is this what you do? If your using the Mail program and .Mac, are you able to send any other mail? If not your settings are incorrect.
Open Mail. On the Toolbar choose Mail-Preferences, and click Accounts. Under Account Information:
Account Type: .Mac
Description: [email protected]
Email address: [email protected]
Full Name: Your name
Incoming Mail Server: mail.mac.com
User Name: msmyczek
Password: Your Password
Outgoing Mail Server
Click on the drop down box. Choose Add Server
In the Outgoing Mail Server, you need to put in what that is, and you should have this information from your internet provider. Mine for instance is smtp.west.cox.net. Leave Authentification blank. Leave the Password field blank. Click OK. Then close out of Accounts. It wil ask you to Save changes.

Can't assign alternate email address for sending?

With my iPod Touch, running iPhone OS 3.1, I was able to assign multiple email addresses to a single account by delimiting them with commas. If I entered "[email protected],[email protected],[email protected]" for the "[email protected]" account, I could choose "[email protected]" or "[email protected]" from the "From" menu when I was mailing a message.
This appears to be completely gone in iOS 4. Is there any way around this? The only workaround I've found is to add "[email protected]" and "[email protected]" as new accounts in the "Mail, Calendar, Contacts" settings, but then I end up with duplicate emails since I route everything into the "[email protected]" account.
What I want is to be able to pull email from just the "[email protected]" account, but reply to and send new messages from the other two email addresses.
I can do this in Mail.app in OS X. Why not from the iPhone?

How do I change the email account that sends photos?

I have 2 email accounts on my phone. Currently it sends photos from my business account. I want it to send from my personal account. Any way to switch this?

You need to change which email account is the default. Go to Settings -> Mail -> Default Account and choose your personal account. This will now be the default account whenever an account is not specified; i.e. sending links from Safari, emailing photos, etc. To send an email from your Business account you'll need to enter mail, touch the business account, and then choose to create a new email.

How to select email account for sending notifications

I have three calendars (for example, C1, C2, C3). My Mail application has 3 email accounts (A1, A2, A3).
How can I make the calendar send notifications using a selected email account?
For example, I want all calendar email notifications to be sent using account A2.

If I change, all my emails would go out the selected account.
Correct.
I routinely use that method, which means that I must select a different account in the "New Message" window "From:" field when I choose to send mail from a different account.

Can only choose one email application for sharing photos

In the iPhoto's 5 preferences pane there is a drop down list for choosing the email program you prefer when sharing photos using email. There is a list of 4 applications in the drop down list. "American Online" is selected. When I click on the list to select a new program, the list goes immediately dim and I cannot change the email program. If I close the preferences dialog and reopen it then the list is reactivated but I still cannot change it without it going dim.
Is there an iPhoto pref file that I can delete that will reset the preferences? Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

There is a preference file you can delete and your OS will generate a new one. The drawback, the plist file also contains your albums, etc etc etc. You won't lose any of your photos but you will lose some of the renaming, albums etc, basically what you have done to personalize iPhoto library...
Thr problem you're talking abou has been mentioned before in this forum. I don't know if it is a software issue or an OS issue, and I do not recall if there was a fix...
The easiest way to find the preference list is to open Macintosh HD > username > LIbrary... you can just do a search for 'iphoto' from this window, the file will be named com.apple.iphoto.plist - I would drag file to desktop and open iPhoto and see if it helps with your email issues, if not you can drag back to orginal location, etc...
Another thing you can try, create another user, open iPhoto and see if same email issues occur, if it does, than the problem is with iPhoto application, if not than it COULD be the preference file...
EDITED: if you cannot fix your email problems, simply use the 'export' function, save to desktop and you should be able to find and attach the photo to any of your preferred mail clients...

Defining email account for sending invites

I think I'm using iCal as intended. I work at home and have multiple calendars but let's just say I have three calendars -- Home, Work and Other -- and I have three email accounts -- eHome, eWork and eOther.
I seem to have limited control over which email address is used to send invites from a particular calendar. I think I understand why it changes but what I can't understand is why can't I set the outbound email account on a per-calendar basis.
Ideally, I could click on the calendar and in the info pane, select one of the e-mail accounts in my mail application (Mail). That would be static such that any time I sent an invite from the Work calendar, it would be sent via my eWork account.
Is there a way to do this that I'm missing? This seems like a rather obvious weekness that is causing confusion with my various associates. Is there a way to address this?

Yes, I think you understand the situation. However, just yesterday something happened that really confused me. I thought the messages were sent via one of the accounts define in Mail. However, I sent out invitations to two people and got the responses back on my Blackberry! dress in the address book.
When I investigated, the replies were actually sent directly to the Blackberry's e-mail address and the invitees thought they may have come from that address. I have no Blackberry account defined in mail and only the address is listed in "MY" card in the Address Book. Very odd.
I've looked at some recent invites and they are being sent via several different addresses/accounts (e.g. work, DSL account, .Mac, etc.) The Blackberry thing definitely has me confused.

I entered my email to send pictures from iphoto, but the wrong password. How can I change it to the correct password?

iPhoto Menu -> Preferences -> Accounts.
Delete the entry for email there, and then recreate it.
