How do I remove the emoticons from my emoji keyboard from my contacts list?

When the app new emoji 300+ was activated it placed some 400 emoji icons into my contact list! Very annoying!! When I deleted the app, it duplicated the emoji contacts in my list....there are now over 800 to delete, far too many to delete individually!
A number of users have commented on this problem!!

I think you are missing the point here. There is no known problem with the keyboard and it's functionality on the iPhone. You do not need to remove the keyboard to fix it. I have it installed and use it, it does not make symols appear when using other English keyboards. If you are seeing symbols entered unintentionally there is a problem with your iPhone's software. To see symbols you must add the Emoji keyboard to the keyboard list. Even then you must select this keyboard when typing a message and physically select the icon you want. It may be possible if you have a different keyboard selected, other than US English, that has some built in short cuts for symbol. The US English keyboard does not.
If you jailbroke and modified the iPhone's software in any way it may have messed up the keyboards functionality. I suppose any app you installed to enhance keyboard function may have effect it, but I don't believe Apple would allow it intentionally. Any chat app you use may come with it's own keyboard, changing the system keyboards will probably not fix them. Restore will fix any software issues the iPhone may have although if caused by an app it may come back when it is installed. Restore will erase media files which are not included in the iPhone backup files.
Discussing jailbreak procedures of iPhones here is prohibited and I do not recommend it to fix any issue. I only mention it since some people have problems with iPod/iPhones after they have jailbroke them but fail to mention it in their initial post. It gets futile trying to help someone with a very rare issue such as this and after many attempts to fix it you are told the iPhone is jailbroke which caused the problem.
Again the best fix here is to Restore it back to a clean iOS install using a back up. If it still does it Restore it as new and add apps till you see the problem appear. -

If someone is removed from the contact list...
If someone is removed from the contact list, but the other person has them on block. Can they view the previous messages? Can they still send messages even after being removed?
To stop future emails, click 'My Stuff' at top right, select 'Preferences' , then in the next page select the 'Email Notification Preferences' tab and click all the 'No' radio buttons. Then click 'Save'.
If you already have notifications set on some threads you will still get emails from them. Click on your username at the top, then under 'Actions' in the right sidebar, select "'Manage email notifications.' This will show the threads you've set up notifications on in the past. Select those you want to stop and click the 'Remove Selected Notifications' button at bottom. -
How do I remove Facebook contacts from my Contacts list on my 4S??? I've already gone into iCloud settings and Facebook is not even an option to turn off and I've gone into "Groups" in my contact list and Facebook is not there either. How do I stop this??
Hmmmm...maybe try deleting them again (I know it's a pain) and then doing a manual icloud backup (unless you already did this). Icloud may be putting them back on there. I never allowed FB to put the contacts on my phone lol. Also try going into Privacy and Contacts...make sure FB isn't on in there. Might be a few other spots to check under settings to make sure too. And...you might want to try deleting the FB app, do a icloud backup, and then reinstall FB

How do you remove previous recipients from a message list? When I begin to type a number, I have numbers appear that are no longer in use, or are incorrect. They are not in my contacts list either.
I apologize. I didn't see that you hadn't updated to iOS 7. That's an iOS 7 option. With iOS 6, you'd need to restore the device as new. Note that that will result in your phone being updated to iOS 7.

At the present time, the only way to clear that is to restore the phone as new. Perhaps a future iOS update will give us the option to clear that cache.

Yes, once you select a person from your Contacts app, you either need to select more from the '+' button or you can tap in the 'to:' field and type in the first few letters of a contact and select from the list. Kinda bummer but gotta make do.

I don't have the app on my mac, it only appears in the update list. It's just annoying, because the update keeps appearing, and the reminder keeps reminding me that I should install a new update.
You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

4. The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method. -
After yesterday upgrading from Mavericks to Yosemite I can no longer find in Mail the icon (looks like the Add To Contacts icon without the + mark) I used to press in order to obtain an e-mail address from my contact list. how do i remove a file from my favorites list on my hard drive. i was trying to put a file in my documents, and it added it to my favorites. i have tried to drag it off but it won't disappear and it won't go into the trash either. any suggestions. i think it is simple because i have done it before, but can't remember what i did to correct it. thanks

How can I get caller id to announce the caller from my contact list?
My old Motorolla and LG phones had a setting to speak the caller id before ringing. It took the names from the contact list or if not there would just call out the phone number and then go to the ringtone. Does the Iphone 4 not have this setting? I can't believe this "smart phone" which does just about everything would not have this function. What am I missing here?
I do have an iPhone 4S. It does not provide a talking caller ID. I too I'm surprised that such a feature is not on the iPhone. There seems to be an "app" for just about everything, but I've yet to find one that does this very simple function. There are some apps out there that do provide a form of caller ID, but they seem to require too much setting up for something so simple. I do have a work a round, but it is a poor subsitute for what we are both looking for. I have set different ringtones for some people in my contact list, so when I hear the tone, I do know who is calling. However, if you have a great deal of contacts, this method really would not work.

As Ocean20 said, there is no official function that does this built in. What you could do however is to find an app that mute calls that come from "blocked" numbers.
