Removing family members phones from my iTunes account.

Here is the issue...all my grandkids have registered their computers/devices to my iTunes acct.  I want them all to set up their own accts because I cannot add my own phone because it says I already have 6 devices registered and cannot add more.  Here is the list: iPhone 3 GS, iPod Nano (4th gen), iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPod Touch (2nd gen), iPod Touch (5th gen).  I can't tell which devices are whose...some are old devices I know.  I also am afraid if I deactivate all devices that everyone will lose all their photos and music that have been synced to the one acct.  How do I get their photos/music off of my account without anyone losing data.  I would like to keep everyone using the same music, so we can share...please help. I also need to know about iCloud which is full...the 5 you get free. Just don't want to start deleting to start over and have them lose their stuff.

    Hey poisonx93,
Using these steps, you should be able to select "None" as your payment method to remove your card from your Apple ID:
Changing your payment information using an iOS device
Tap Settings on the Home screen.
    Tap iTunes & App Stores.
Tap your Apple ID. (If you aren't signed in, enter your Apple ID and password and tap Sign In.)
    Tap View Apple ID.
    Enter your Apple ID password.
In the Edit section, tap Payment Information.
Update the information that you want to change.
Note: You can find the payment methods that the iTunes Store accepts in the Payment Type section. If you don't want a payment method on your account, select None in the Payment Type section.

I am wanting to remove my credit card details from my iTunes account. How do I do this???

On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link.  If you are doing it on your iOS device then try tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and selecting 'View Apple ID' on the popup - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

If you don't get the 'none' option on the payment details screen then do you owe iTunes anything or have any pre-orders/subscriptions due : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5366 ?

I don't understand "when there is a multiple listing" above.
But here's how to remove an iPhone from your iTunes account:
Open iTunes on your computer, and go to Store > View My Apple ID in iTunes' menu.  Sign in, go to "Manage Devices", and remove it there.

  • How do I remove and phone from my iTunes account?

My dad and I share an iTunes account. He only has a couple apps so he uses my account to buy them and update them. We both backed up our iPhones to iCloud and we both updated our phones today through iTunes. Now all of our contacts are merged together. I went through and delted all of his contacts on my phone and then there were also delted on his phone. None of my contacts I had before I updated my phone are there. How do I get them back? And how can I take my dad off my account and have him sign up for his own so this doesn't happen again? If this helps I have the iPhone 5 and my dad has the iPhone 3G

This is caused by using the same iCloud account on both phones.  When you do this any data you sync with the shared iCloud account such as contacts is merged and will appear on all devices connected to the account.  Also, any actions you take on one device (such as deleting contacts) is replicated on all other devices.  To fix this you both need to have separate iCloud accounts (you can continue to share the same Apple ID for purchasing from the iTunes and app stores).
Decide which phone will be keeping the current iCloud account.  On the one that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud.  The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.)  When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone.  Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom).  Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting the other person's contacts from your account, and vice versa).
Since you deleted your dad's contacts from the iCloud account, unless he has a separate backup somewhere else, they're gone.

  • 2 computers, 5 family members with their own iTunes accounts. How do we share purchased iTunes and downloaded CDs with homeshare? (I can't get my old iPod music to all go onto my iPad)

    I have 2 computers - Windows Based
My husband, myself and the kids all have our own "accounts" on the home computer. This was done to limit certain access when the kids were younger.
The laptop is pretty much mine. I use both computers for my iTunes music.
Everyone has their own iTunes account for their music and games. I have been able to get music purchased by my other family members on my iPod in the past if I logged in the home computer under their IDs and attached my iPod. Or, if a family member downloaded a CD, I could get that music thes same way without having to download the CD again under my own login ID. However, I now have an iPad, and I can't transfer music from the iPod to the iPad - specifically that which was downloaded from CDs - not iTunes. And I couldn't get it to go from my iPod to my laptop, although both are authorized computers in the Home Sharing.
It doesn't seem like the Home Sharing works with the different computer login IDs. The iTunes is universally available regardless of who is logged in, but the libraries vary based on who's user name you are under. I have strugged with importing from one User ID to another, which led me to simply log in under a different family member to get the desired music. There has got to be an easier answer and I'm just not figuring it out.
I've read the support answers, I've read many of the other responses here as well to those with similiar questions, but I am still struggling.
    Any suggestions?

If you are completely confident that you didn't hide it, then you purchased those with different apple id. If you completely confident that you purchases with same apple id then you have hidden it. One of the other or you are speaking about a miracle. While miracles are possible they are not very likely. • How do I remove all connected devices from my itunes account?

I recently let a friend use my itunes account to download an app on their 3rd gen ipod touch. I have already changed my password and email address associated with my itunes account. Their ipod was never synced to my computer, so it does not come up when I got into my itunes account and try to manage all the devices associated with it. I've already used my deauthorize all button once before. My ultimate goal is to have the app disappear on their ipod touch, is there anyway to do that? Was just changing my email address and password enough to get it off of their ipod touch?

Changing the access list associated with your account won't delete content off his iPod.
Changing the account prevents him from downloading new content under your account, including updates to existing applications, but it won't remove currently-installed applications. That will only happen when the device is connected to iTunes and a manual sync is performed.

  • I've just deactivated my itunes account from my Mac, as I'm selling it and don't want it left on the computer. My music however is still there and i would like to know how yo remove it without deleting from my itunes account. My computer is a MAC G5.

I am selling my desktop and want to delete all my itunes music from my computer/desktop, but without deleting it from my actual itunes account account. I deauthorized my account from my computer (Power Mac G5 with OS X Leopard), however when I returned to my music page/index, it was all still there (even though I've deactivated my account and also logged out of itunes). When I tried to delete my music, a warning message popped up, stating that my music from ALL of my apple devices will be removed if I proceed with the action,
Can anyone tell me how to simply remove all my itunes info from my computer, but without it affecting the rest of my devices and the account itself.
    thanks,
    Alex

iTunes menu Store > Sign out of iTunes Match the n Sign in to iTunes Match.
but it wont let me do it from my actual user account on my macbook.
    Why not?
