Removing First Premier CO

Was that response from Julie Gilson? They absolutely REFUSE to correct or delete my multiple inaccuracies. Even after a BBB dispute. They are even going as far as reporting the account as open, despite it being a paid charge off. Apparently paying the CO doesn't do any good, as everyone I've seen claiming they got theirs deleted are unpaid.

Apparently paying the CO doesn't do any good, as everyone I've seen claiming they got theirs deleted are unpaid. It's a bit frustrating. We paid ours too, but First Premier doesn't reflect it. Plus, it's not even our account. It was fraudently obtained (and we have proof). (We paid it in hopes of just helping our credit look better when we found out about it before we found out about MyFico and a "PFD".)
Yet I hear about all of these "success" stories with deletion. I just don't understand it. I'm happy for them...but I wish I had the same success myself!There's a reason they are referred to here as "First Predator".... Your mistake is trying to go through the OC to get a fraudulent account deleted.  FCRA 605B has very specific requirements about getting a fraudulent account deleted. It does not involve the OC at all.Oh I'm aware. We've sent that proof to the credit bureaus...all four of the main ones. Did that first. Did nothing. We only went to the OC AFTER sending it to the CB did nothing. Believe me, we've been down this road. It's not as easy as they make it seem on paper for Identity Theft victims. Then again, is anything ever as easy as they make it seem on paper?Have you read the requirements as laid out in FCRA 605B? If so, what reason was given for their denials?Yes I have. I honestly think they just threw it back out as "verified" without even looking at the paperwork that we submitted. It doesn't look like they did much more than that. (But I have no way of knowing for certain.)
Every other creditor we had removed the credit line immediately upon us contacting their fraud department and being sent the information. We could never get that far with First Premier so I went through a CB dispute instead thinking that might be easier. Then I went through a direct dispute with them. Now we're in the middle of a CFPB complaint that will hopefully resolve it.
They are literally the only creditor with whom we have had any problems. Well, them and Sallie Mae (now Navient). You can't remove fraudlently-obtained student loans. Doesn't matter what anyone tells you. You can't ever remove those apparently. Someone could take out $200K of those in your name and you'd apparently be screwed.

  • Should I close First Premier now or wait:

    Hello good people I have a dilemma and am wondering if I should close a couple of accounts that are really serving me no purpose. These stupid First Premier cards and a Credit One card. First  Premier like so many others was my first card then Credit One then another First Premier. I also have at the time 3 Capital One cards a Barclay Rewards card and a partially secured BOA card as well as some store cards. I want to close it but do not know all of the pros and cons of doing so. I am only keeping them so my overall cl will be higher especially since I do not have any prime cards or limits over $1300 yet. I want to close them but do not want to shoot myself in the foot what should I do.???

You have much better cards that aren't costing you so much money, so you don't need those cards. Their history will continue to help you for quite some time. If you still have enough credit without them, get rid of them. Utilization shouldn't be an issue. If you will end up going over 70% total utilization every month, I'd reccomend paying the card off in the middle of the month so you're not appearing maxed out. The only other thing to do would be to PIF before statement cut on all but one card and leave 1-9% unpaid until the statement is created, but you should only do that when you're applying for new credit. Overall, they aren't helping you enough to justify their cost.

  • Removing first line in text file... Memory and HD concern

    Hello all,
    I want to remove the first line of a text file. This is easy... One way
    to do it, is to find the first "end of line" caracter, strip the string
    and re-write the sting in file with the "strip to sreadsheet" VI.
    Since the file can be quite large (about 120000 lines), is this a good
    way to do it. Will it re-write all the line or just moving the "begin
    of file" pointer to the second line? If it re-write the whole file,
    this option is not very good since I could have to do this operation
    quite often. (I want the file to be a kind of circular buffer / backup).
    What do you think is the best way to do this?
    Thanks!
    Vincent

    I think you would have to read in all the data and write it to a new file, you could either keep the data in RAM or simply write to another file then delete the original, and then rename the temp one.  So obviously that is a lot of data and memory.
    My main question is are you trying to use a text file as a circular buffer?  If so can you tell us more about the data, ie is it strings of a constant length?  Does a user ever need to read the file or could we head binary?
    A solution would be to truly make the file a binary file, so you could actually seek through the file easier, and maybe make the first data chunk the location of the most recent write.  The obvious danger is then writing over existing data.  This solution is still risky because of the data writes.
    You may want to look at some of the other file formats like HWS which maintains a hierarchy of data for you so you can simply add and remove data from it.  However, a user will not be able to easily read it.

    Hi Deepthi,
    Please give the following snippet a try, it should ignore the first occurence of wsse:Security for the output (the first template is used to copy everything into the output, the second template is overruling the first template for the first occurence of wsse:Security and creates an empty output for it):
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
    xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"

  • Remove First & Last Name Validation in Get Support

    Hi All,
       I have enabled the self management of password for portal users. I have to remove the First & Last Name validation  and make it optional, I have also made (ume.logon.logon_help.name_required = false)  in configtool and taken the restart of the server, but still it is validating the names.
    If anyone have removed the validation for the above, can help me.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Ponnusamy

    Hi Ponnuswamy,
    the right place to remove the validation is the par file of the login page.
    Get the par file from the portal. unzip the par file.
    under the PORTAL-INF\lib u will find the umelogonbase.jar
    Extrat the jar. get the java file named
    SAPMLogonLogic.java.
    Modify the piece of code in the java file.
    private void performForgotPassword()
            throws IOException, UMException, FeatureNotAvailableException {
            String methodname = "performForgotPassword";
            if (trace.bePath()) {
                trace.entering(methodname);
            try {
                String longUid = this.proxy.getRequestParameter(LogonBean.LONGUID);
                if (longUid != null) {
                    longUid = longUid.trim();
                // check for email id
                String email = this.proxy.getRequestParameter("email");
                String lastName = this.proxy.getRequestParameter("lastname");
                String firstName = this.proxy.getRequestParameter("firstname");
                String noteToAdmin = this.proxy.getRequestParameter("notetoadmin");
                IUser userFrom = UMFactory.getUserFactory().getUserByLogonID(longUid);
                if (email.equalsIgnoreCase(userFrom.getEmail()) &&
                        firstName.equalsIgnoreCase(userFrom.getFirstName()) &&
                        lastName.equalsIgnoreCase(userFrom.getLastName())) {
                    // email matched, assign a new password and email to user
                    String newPass = UMFactory.getSecurityPolicy().generatePassword();
                    IUserAccount ua = UMFactory.getUserAccountFactory()
                                                       .getMutableUserAccount(longUid);
                    ua.setPassword(newPass);
                    ua.save();
                    ua.commit();
    this is the original coding.
    remove the check for last name and first name in that
      if (email.equalsIgnoreCase(userFrom.getEmail()) &&
                        firstName.equalsIgnoreCase(userFrom.getFirstName()) &&
                        lastName.equalsIgnoreCase(userFrom.getLastName()))
    complie the java file. get the class and store it in the umelogonbase.jar . put the jar back in the original place. deploy the par.
    u will get the desire result.
    cheers,

  • Remove first selected  character

    Hi all,
    I have one requirement , in my one table A _POSTN  there is Column NAME I this column values like
    DEFAULT_NZ_FUELS_WHOLESALE_1,
    Z_FALAGUB,
    DEFAULT_UK_ILS_LUBES_1
    etc
    I want output for only those record Z_FALAGUB, Z_REHMEN, output should remove “Z_” and FALAGUB, REHMEN like that
    I am trying “SUBSTR(E.NAME,INSTR(E.NAME,'Z_')+2) from dual “ this statements
    But it is removing “DEFAULT_NZ_FUELS_WHOLESALE” Z_ also . can anyone help me for that

    You want to test if the first two characters contain 'Z_', while INSTR will check the whole string.
    If found at the start, it will return 1 and you will want to to start the first SUBSTR from position 3 and otherwise start from 0 (that's what the DECODE is for).
    I did this without really testing, but give it a try.
    SUBSTR(E.NAME, DECODE(INSTR(E.NAME, 'Z_'), 1, 3, 0)) from dual

    I am looking for a formula to remove the first WORD from a field.

    Hi Hank,
    One way to do this is to find the first space in the string and parse out the characters before that string.
    If your string looks like, "First Second Third" try this:
    {table.FIELD} [(InStr ({table.FIELD}, " ") + 1) To Length ({table.FIELD})];

  • Should I remove all Premier Elements now that I have CS5?

    I have Photoshop Elements 9 & 11, Premier Elements 10 & 11. Also added CS5. Can I safely remove all the Elements programs and not lose photos?

    Hi,
    You can keep CS5 and PSE/PRE both together.
    Although regarding uninstallation : PSE/PRE is just a Databse of your photos. They resides orginally on your harddisk and PSE makes the links to them.
    Please refer the link to see the process: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/uninstall-premiere-elements-photoshop-element s.html
    *In the article it says PRE content , which is an explicit content get installed along with PRE and its NOT the USER content (such as user images or videos).

  • How to remove first 7 seconds of imported video & audio files

    I've imported 2-hour audio & video files (edited in FCP, then taken to Compressor) into my DVDSP project.
    Can I now edit out the first 7 seconds of what I imported, before I burn the DVD? If so, how? (I want to remove a title that I should have removed originally in FCP, but didn't. Don't want to wait hours to re-compress the files.)

    There is no editing in DVD SP. If you want to edit out the first 7 seconds you will have to do that in FCP.
    An alternative is to put a chapter marker at the 7 second spot and then target that. The problems with this is that you might not be able to put the chapter marker on the exact frame you might want, and people can rewind and discover those 7 seconds.
