Removing GPRS settings

As my N70 is away to the Nokia hospital for a week im now on my backup handset, my 6820.
It is full of out of date GPRS settings and I am sure there is a *# code to remove them but I can never remember it.
Can anyone remind me ?
N96-1 + 8G SD~Software Version 30.033~Software Version Date 18-06-09~Type RM-247~P/C 0543713~T Mobile UK

Thanks, but this is not the problem. Read Out Loud is not turned on. The program keeps trying to "read" the whole document in the sense of going through it page by page and altering something (I'm not sure what).

. Go to setting-configuration settings- personal configuration settings-add new- web. Don't enter any data in any field & press back. Then press again add new-access point. Again don't enter data in any field & press back. Now select each of them & activate them as default. Come back to config settings-default config settings- personal- activate. Then select activate default in all apps. Then select prefered access point & select the one labelled as My access point.

  • Remove & Push Settings failed

I am trying to get profilemanager working - currently sending remove/push settings does fail immediately (remove settings) or is pending forever (push settings: depending on payload?) whereas device enrolment, trust certificate installation, initial installation of settings using the website as well as requesting "Update Info" from profile manager does work.
    1. During my research, I found out what ports to open in the firewall - amongst others: 5223
    2. The server port should be accessible from 17.0.0.0/8 network
There I already seem to have an issue since I am not quite sure either it is a certificate, firewall, setup or service issue.
Am I wrong if I would expect port 5223 to be listening on the OS X server - at least for localhost?
    master:~ root# telnet 127.0.0.1 5223
    Trying 127.0.0.1...
telnet: connect to address 127.0.0.1: Connection refused
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host
    OS X: 10.10.2
    Server: 4.0.3
    Client: iPhone 6
    iOS: 8.2
    Thank you for your suggestions!

    Solved by some nasty issues
    1. When using self signed certificates on your server, make sure to export the ROOT certificate from your keychain to install by hand on your device(s)
    2. Do not use IKEv2 VPN or other profile settings restricted to "supervised devices" unless you are sure they are supervised
    3. Ignore the fact the your server may not listen to port 5223
If you are still having issue, enabling Push Notification Log will also help.

    Hello
do you know how to remove carrier settings updates downloaded from Itunes?

The bottom of this document tells you where they are on your computer. I suppose you could delete them. There's nothing about deleting them from the phone.

  • GPRS Settings

Can anyone help with this problem.  I had a major problem with email and internet on my phone which Orange finally sorted but since then some of my Apps don't work.  The weird thing is everyone is a Bookmaking site but Orange have said my security settings are ok.  I can access these sites via my browser on my phone but not on the downloaded app.
All Orange have suggested now is for me to wipe everything off my phone then reinstall them but surely there is an easier way.
the messages I get when trying to access these apps are
"Connection failed.  Your phone either has a poor data connection to the Internet or it's Internet GPRS settings are incorrect.  Please contact your mobile network operater to update or test your phones GPRS Settings"
    Another says
"The phone is unable to make a connection.  This may happen when you have poor signal or GPRS not available.  If this problem persists, please contact your network operator"
    Another says
    "Error
Network failure - please try again (27)"
    Any ideas??

Other than trying to wipe the device or reload the OS I'm out of ideas to try.
Did Orange see if they could try the apps on another device to see if it would work? Or if you place your SIM card in another BlackBerry, or another person's SIM card in your device to see if you can download those apps?

  • Manual install of GPRS settings on X68GB?

    Hi!
I just purchased a Nokia X68GB and i can make a phonecall with it and also send and receive text messages, but the Internet connection and MMS does not work.
I received automatic instal instructions from my operator via SMS,but they does not work. When contacting the operator regarding the fact that the Internet connection still does not work i was told to instal the GPRS settings manually.
This is the instructions the Operator provides with:
To set up your GPRS settings manually, set the following parameters:
    Profilename: Parlino GPRS
    URL: wap.parlino.se
    Proxy: 130.244.196.090
    APN: internet.parlino.se
    Username: <empty>
    Password:  <empty>
My problem is that i can´t find where in the phone i should type in these settings. I have read the instruction manual, yet i still can´t find where to type these parameters.
Does anyone has the knowledge to guide me where to write these parameters?
    Thank´s in advance!

Hi and thank´s for your reply, pudu!
I appreciate your help, however, the instructions you gave did not work.
Yesterday i received an email from Nokia with instructions how to manually install GPRS settings on my X68GB,and now i can connect to Internet.
These are the instructions i was given that helped me to solve the case:
    1) Press the Menu button, then 'Settings', then 'Connections', then 'Destinations.' and finally 'Internet'.
    2) Make sure the list that appears here is empty. We do this by selecting all possible access points are, and then press 'Options' and 'Clear'.
    3) Press 'Options' and 'New access point' - now you will be asked if you want to search for available access points - answer 'No'.
    4) Select 'Packet' and name it 'Parlino GPRS' and press 'OK'
    5) Now our new access point, turned up, so select it and press 'Options' and 'edit'
    6) Press 'Options' and 'Advanced'. Highlight this 'Proxy address' and enter 130. 244. 196. 090. Press 'OK'and then 'Back'.
    7) Press the 'Connection Name' and enter internet.parlino.se, then press OK
    8) Press the 'Home' and enter wap.parlino.se, press OK. Then press back until you return to the home screen.
The settings are now finished and your Service Provider given you correct information so you should be able to access the Internet.
These instructions worked for me,so i now consider the problem as solved. Hope these instructions can be helpful for anyone if they get the same problem.

  • Profile manager - removing computer settings

I've searched for an answer to this, but haven't found anything.
What happens when you remove profile manager settings for a computer? For example, I created settings for the dock that were pushed out. After that, I removed the settings in PM, but the settings still are in effect on the computer.

That is the problem I'm having. I remove the settings in PM, but they still remain in effect on the computer.

  • X2-02 Cannot add gprs settings manually

i bought this phone yesterday and i cannot find a way to add gprs settings to this phone ,service providers are still not have any settings to this phone yet. i know the apn and all but the add new option that all other nokia phones had is not there . confused i think im not the only one whos having this matter

You can find the GPRS settings in
Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Packet Data > Packet data settings > Active Access Point.
You should be able to edit the active access point in another row there in the menu which should have the Access Point Name and the access point URL.

Its working fine except for the fact taht every time the application tries to do a GET or POST to the server, the user is shown the "The application is trying to connet to internt.OK or NOT" screen. Also every time the mobile asks the user to choose the Internet gateway.
Is there a way i can disble the warning screen and also set the GPRS settings by writing code?

  • Proxy settings moved from User to Machine not removing user settings.

    Hi All,
I have recently moved our company's proxy settings from User based to Machine based as we were having issues after moving from an internal proxy to a hosted external proxy.  What we found was after turning off the internal some users were no longer
    getting external internet.
After some investigation we found they were still getting old proxy settings on login and after a GPupdate.exe or normal gpupdate from the server the correct settings would apply. (happened to users logging on for the 1st time) To prevent this from happening
I moved the proxy settings to the Computer GPO and it all appeared to work in the test GPO and in live.  But a few days later we got some calls logged to our help desk stating they don't get external internet.  After some more
investigation we found that they are still getting the user policy applied to them even though it has all been removed from the User GPO.
I found if I remove the proxy settings it doesn't always apply to users but if I add info in it always updates to the user.  What can be causing this?  Some of these users have local admin rights and I thought at first it might be something they
did but now we are getting non admin users with these issues.
We are using IE 10 and have set the original Proxy settings using the GUI internet control panel and are now applying the proxy settings via Registry updates in the Computer GPO and enabled "Make Proxy settings per-machine" object.  Our SOE
is Win 7 ent x64 with IE 10 (1500 units) and Win 8.1 ent x64 IE11 (100 units) And some XP SP3 that are in the process of migrating to Win7.
Any help on this would be much appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Nat

    Hi Nat,
you wrote: I found if I remove the proxy settings it doesn't always apply to users but if I add info in it always updates to the user.
Does that also happen für new users now after you changed your settings to the computer settings?
I guess you used group policy preferences; that worked as "one time settings", so as long as the policy exists it will be merged with the Settings on the users computer. Please find a detailed description on
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn581922.aspx
So you now have 2 configuration items: your policy as well as the users registry. So to remove that you already moved the Settings from the user configuration to your Computers configuration (that worked as you described) while the Settings
in their HKCU are still there - you Need to either implement another  policy to remove that, or you can set it empty.
Don't set it to "not configured" as that will keep your old setting deployed before.
Sometimes I found in more easy to implement another user preference that removed the Registry key with the Registry keys to remove a Setting instead of Publishing a "remove Setting" configuration.
    Regards,
    Martin
