There is no brightness toolbar unless your iPhone is jailbroken. If so, you can try to restore to remove the JB.
The only place brightness exists is under Settings.

Crashes while trying to copy info from "Movie info" window

does anyone experienced this thing also? When i play streaming media and try to select and copy info from "Movie Info" QT crashes instantly (QT 7.1.3)

Removing line item dimention from info cube

Hi All Experts,
Early watch report has suggested us to remove line item dimention and high cardinality from some cubes.
bur our cubes are having data , and when I tried to chekc this in our Dev server, Line Item dimention is disabled when it is filled with data.
but when I delete data from Cube, Line item diemention check box gets enabled.
so does it mean that we can not flag or remove line item dimention form cube if contains data,
and in mine case I have to delete all data from cube and then trensport it to PRD after deleting data from Cube and reload after transport.
Am I correct.
Please advice If I am wrong.

yes, you are correct. You have to delete the content of the cube before you can change a line item dim. to a 'normal' dimension. As a workaround you might use a copy of the cube, create and/or copy all update rules to the new cube, and create a new update rule from the old to the new cube. Transport everything to prod, then load you new cube from the old cube and do all the other load as before. Move/copy your queries from the old cube to the new cube as well.

I m not sure if i m asking this question at the right forum.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to extract data from a web page.
This means, say for example a web site Yahoo displays stock quotes
updated or NASDAQ values almost in real time.
Now if i want to get that information from the web page into one
of my applications ,say, something that uses that data. Is there
a way to do it?

Yes, it's possible. You can use the java.net.URL object to connect to websites and download the html. Doing the coding is not that easy, and you should also be mindful of not redistributing data you've gotten from another site without permission

Take copied levels away from the cool pages

When they copy a level there should be a mandatory credits section in the description stating the original creator.

I have no idea has this been suggested hundreds of times but I do not really care since it would be so easy solution to get all that crap away from cool pages people always complain about. I am not excacly sure how cool pages work in this game but it seems cool pages have even newest of the newest levels that have only 1-2 plays or none. Also sometimes these levels get automatically really high in cool pages by some kind of lucky accident and then they catch players' attention. If levels that are copied from other players would not even go to this so called "cool page tube" but just live their own lives in creators' planets, I am sure people would be extremely happy. Of course the reason they are now in cool page tube is that every level can have a chance to shine but I never understood why copied levels would need that chance. They are, afterall, somehow copied and the creator might have just edited small things in there so it is not mentioning at all the original creator. I also support the idea that copied levels show the original creator but I am aware that it wouldn't help the situation in cool page at all since most of people just play anything that is on top of that page. I never really play cool page levels because it is all just copied crap to me that I can't be sure about who is the original creator but it would be really fun to be sure every level there is made by that creator, then I would be sure to check cool pages very often

Copy file info from "Get Info" inspector window

I need to find a way to copy the file info, mostly the file size in bytes, on selected files.
Does anyone know if there is a way to do this in Automator? I can't seem to find it if there is.

Don't know about automator, but this AppleScript returns the size in bytes of a chosen file.

How do you remove root level processes from launching at startup?

Trying to remove Missing Sync application processes from Leopard. No longer using that application, but it loads these processes at startup, and I want to remove them. How do I do this?

Then, I suggest running the uninstaller (if it exists) or contacting the developer and finding out where the installer puts its stuff. BTW, if you can identify the daemons, you should be able to do a Spotlight search for them and find the scripts that launch them. I don't use any of those devices, so I can't point you in the right direction.

1. Go to Firefox Profile Folder (go to about:support in Firefox then click Open folder/Show in Finder to get there)
2. Open or create the chrome folder in the Firefox Profile Folder.
3. Create a blank text file, copy and paste this code into the text file.

4. Save it as userContent.css (using ALL FILES under the drop down menu)
5. Place the new css file into the chrome folder.

Fox_1923: You're not supposed to create a new chrome file but a userContent.css file in the chrome folder.
You can use mine and cor-el's code together in the userContent.css file to get rid of the large margin in the top along with the search box. I've used it just fine in the latest Nightly and so have others who dislike the search box.
One thing you could be doing wrong is not setting the file type to all Files and Notepad or whatever else you are using is adding an unneeded extension (for Windows, .txt = userContent.css.txt doesn't work!)

How to remove header and footer from a "blank" page in Pages?

In the top and the bottom there seems to be a header and footer, it noticeable when i do "mouse over". But when i right click i don't get the option to delete it. I cannot move it. I cannot move any other text or colums above it.

How to remove the delete and edit toolbar buttons from the Overview page

Hi,
In the account/contact overview page, we see that the interaction history assignment block does not support the EDIT and DELETE options.
However, when we click on the hyperlink description of an activity in the interaction history, we get into the overview page of the activity. Here we can see the DELETE button and the EDIT button.
Is there a way to remove these two options from the overview page of an activity which is in COMPLETED status and in the interaction history section?

Removing index.html from home page / remove .html tags from all other pages

Hello All,
I was wondering if there is a way to remove the index.html from my main page, so that www.mypage.com/index.html is simply www.mypage.com/. This also applies to all the other pages in the site, but only for the .html extension: www.mypage.com/contact.html becomes www.mypage.com/contact. Almost all sites I know do this, but I can't figure out the technique beyond working some crazy voodoo with Apache.

if 'index.html' is in your HOST server's default filename list, then you can omit its name from any link, e.g.,
<a href="/">Home</a>
That link will cause the server to load the default file found in the root folder of the site.
This is actually the preferred way to link to your home page.

How to remove the EDIT button from Overview Page

I have a overview page for Service Request(SRQM_INCIDENT_H - component). Now, I want to remove the EDIT button from the overview page and want to place it for each assignment block.
I have seen the there is concept calles VIEW_GROUP_CONTEXT. However, I am not sure how exactly I need to apply that and what code and where I need to write.

we removed in our system a lot of the standard buttons in this overview page like this:
