Removing links in Self-Service for My Employee
Hi
We are trying to implement BP ESS and MSS 1.0 on EP 7 and ECC 6.0. We have imported the source code into NWDI track and are able to make changes in the source code. Now our requirement is that we want to remove the link in "Self-Service for My Employee" under Related Activities iView. We couldnt find the application which shows this iView.
Path: MSS -> Team -> General Information under Related Activities.

I have already tried modifying that DC. But I am unable to find the exact component (view). When I tried executing the application through NWDS its not showing "Related Activities" area and links. Also when we log in with a user who doesnt have any MSS rights "To display data, first select an employee" is displayed. And for MSS user whose configuration is not complete in R/3 "No data available" is displayed. Can this be controlled from R/3?

unfortunatelly it is not. The ESS in MSS functionality is a hightly integrated application, with the XSS Floorplan Manager (FPM) as the integrating part. The LSO BSP application does not have access to this FPM. Thus it would not get notified if you select an employee.
A possible solution tho could look like this:
Create a FPM application (WD Java) which serves as a proxy application

Call the BSP application within this WD Java application and somehow pass the pernr to it.

Error in self service for my employee - Related Activities in MSS

NW2004s SP9 EP7.0 ECC 6.0
we are trying to implement the self service for my employee in related activites functinality from the general information of team workset ( Team --> General informatio --> Related activities --> Self service for my employee ) in MSS which is a replicaiton of ESS in MSS functionality from the previous versions.
When
I click on any of the options like Personal data or Addresses it gives me a blank page with no information on it. (It does give a DONE message with error/warning message on the status bar of Internet explorer. The error message says getactivetrackingEntryValue() is null)
Do I need to do anything to get this page working. I do not see any config related to this.
Appreciate any inputs.

I think the note refers to note been able to display the general infromation iView itself. I have implemented the note and am able to see the genral information iView. My issue is I am not able to perform "Self service for my employees" in "related activities" iView.

Sanjay, I have raised the issue with SAP, in the mean while if you can please let me know the patches or a list of them that are requried thyat would be awesome. Sorry for asking you this, but the basis team here asks to tell them what is requried even though I do not have sufficient authorizations to check them.

Password Self-Service for AE 2.1
Does anyone know how to setup employee self services for password resets in Access Enforcer 2.1? I know how to navigate to that selection, but I am not sure what value to add in the required fields? Anyone have any ideas? I had a document from SAP and they no longer have it posted.Thanks in advance.

Simple thing I can tell you is, UPGRADE TO AE/CUP 5.3. You can do much more than AE2.1 and 5.2. You can even follow the AE 5.2 configraton guide for PSS.

we need to download the ESS Business package for EP 7.0 and cannot find the link either in SDN or download from the support portal , the portal content folder simply does not show any links .

In Detail Navigation navigate SAP Netweaver Capabilities --> User Productivity --> Portal and collaboration link, Click on it
You can find Portal Content Portfolio, Click on it.
In new window you can find Business Packages
We have three types of categories:
1) Business Packages for Every User
2) Business Packages for Managers.
3) Business Packages for Specialist.
When you click on any of Categories, you can find related to that categories of Business Packages.
Click on Download then it will ask for Service Marketplace id and password.
Also check the Note 1004528 - SAP Self Services: Business packages and components.

OTL/HXC - Adding Help Link to Self Service Time Entry (TcActivitiesPG)

I'm a system analyst newly assigned to handling Oracle HR at my job. One thing I'm looking into is the possibility of adding a link to help documentation on our intranet (i.e. outside of Oracle) to the page where employees enter their time (using Self Service OTL). The problem is that no matter how much I look at personalizations for this page, I can't seem to track down a page element that could be used for that. I know there should be something, but I'm not having any luck.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me? How would you add an arbitrary link at the top (or bottom) of the self service timecards?We're in the process of upgrading to R12; is it possible to add or custom links through personalization there, or is it still something that can only be done via customization? (We can certainly do the latter, but were hoping for a solution that didn't require it.)

ESS Address service for international employees.
Hello All,
We recently upgraded from 4.6c to ECC5.0 as part of this we upgraded our portal from ITS to webdynpro. We have ESS for US employees only. There is a employee who moved from Singapore to US. He is unable to update the address to US, So I updated the address in the SAP system from PA30 to US address. But the user when loggin in is still seeing the same error. The error details are as follows. Can anyone please help, this is very urgent!!!! This employee is one of the directors.

Symptoms
When a Learner enrolls in Training, they cannot view attachments the administrator had placed with
the class.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expect the attachments placed on a class to be viewable by all learners enrolling in that class
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Learning Administrator creates a class and adds an attachment
2. Learner enrolls in the class but cannot view the attachments the admin placed there.
BUSINESS IMPACT
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, Learners cannot view attachments the administrator attached to a given class
Please help JamesMaybe I am not explaining this right.

However when I try to navigate back to the catalog, I get an error in Mozilla "The changes you made to this page have not been saved. If you continue, the changes will be discarded. Do you wish to continue."
In IE, "Problem: not able to see how to save the changes after publishing a document to catalog"
I still have to republish what I already published. The process sounds like there is bug or miss leading. Why would I have to save a document that I just attached and/or why should I have to republish a document that I already published.
I just figured that as long as I am in update then I will continue to receive errors and republishing. Everything is work great and now I will be closing this message. Thanks for you help. Great forum.

I have a requirement in CRM box.
If we navigate to SAP menu we have Self Service -> Financial Internal Self Services.
Then a portal page will open in browser. There we have link Master Data Services.
In that link we have standard sublinks for some financial master data creation.
This is coming from LPD_CUST(Launchpad Customizing) -> FINISS. In this Master Data Services we have to create new link for "Create Asset".
We can't go for Transactional iView. We have to choose Application Type as Web Dynpro ABAP only as present in standard links.
And in the Application USMD_ENTITY_VALUE2 should be present as generic UI component.
But after that what needs to be done for asset I am not getting. We have to do some config for component for web dynpro component, entity types, UIBB etc. InSPRO also, Cross-Application components ->Process and tools for Enterprise Applications -> MDG -> General Settings also we have to do something. I have collected info in isolated way.
How to approach for this. Please suggest.

Vin ce VuWithout voiding your warranty? Only two things you can officially do is replace the RAM or replace the internal storage drive, provided the Mac is not an Air or a Retina. The rest is off-limits and Apple-only.
That being said and if the warranty (base or AppleCare) is not a concern, you can do whatever you want with the thing and if you're handy enough with the tools, it may even survive to see another day. Visit IFixIt.com (hi-res picture based) or PowerBookMedic.com (video based) for how-to's on virtually any doodad inside, plus any replacement parts and specialized screwdrivers that may be needed.
A fairly common verboten activity is battery replacement. -

Other option using the customized query report with the drill down option....

A while ago I had problems with the 309g in trying to print coloured photos-it just wouldn't print them right at all and reversed all the colours. At the time HP gave me a manually done proceedure in which a Service could be carried out whereby a blank part of the touch screen on the left side was pressed bringing up certain messages on the screen to be carried out 3 times in succession, but I can't remember where to press now or what the instructions were and I need them.
