Removing logos / painting over logos

My boss shot an interview with a client and after I had edited the interview, we noticed that the client is wearing a necklace bearing the logo of a competitor.
So, I'm having trouble figuring out what my options are for coloring over the logo on the necklace.
I have Final Cut Studio 2 HD
A couple of film friends said that i could possibly import each frame of the interview into photoshop, color over the necklace, then replace the frames back into final cut pro....
but that doesn't seem realistic because the interview is 7 minutes long and I still value my sanity.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Nick's request to see the bling would be helpful.
If the logo is not too big, and it's on a necklace, and the talent doesn't move too much ( I think I've included enough qualifiers there) then you could try the following quick fix solution.
Move your video to a higher track so you have a blank video track below.
Double click your offending video track and go to Effects>Video Filters>Matte>Mask Shape
Then select the shape that most reasonably matches your logo necklace and adjust the shape to cover the logo. Check the invert box
Now use the generator at the lower right hand of your viewer and select matte>solid color...place that on the video track below. Use the eyedropper in the control tab to match the gold necklace near where the logo is.
You will likely need to add a mask feather to the offending video and adjust as needed. You may also need to keyframe the the mask shape when the talent moves.
This is the quick and dirty way to meet a deadline and if the talent is relatively still, and the logo is relatively small you can get away with it.

    I'm not a "Cloud" member. I just upgraded to Lightroom 6 from Lightroom 5. All was working well yesterday. Today Lightroom will not open (Windows 7). I see the logo photo over my Lightroom platform but nothing loads and I see "Lightroom not responding." I checked the catalogs and see that lrcat-Journal and lrcat-Lock have been created every time I try to open. I have a backup from the first day I upgraded, but Lightroom doesn't want to access it. Should I reinstall?

    Well, is the catalogue (and the folder it is in) writable? Have you actually checked the permissions? Lightroom won't be spitting out the error just to tick you off, and - computer wizard or not - this sounds very much like something you'll have to fix at the OS level: it's probably nothing to do with Lightroom or those funny lads at Adobe.

    I want to remove/change my company logo from payment advice. How can we do that? Whar are the steps or procedure?
    Thanks.

    Go to the "File" menu, then "Print." The window that appears will have three drop-down menus at the top.
    The first is labeled "Printer",
    The second is "Presets".
    The third is unlabeled but has "Copies & Pages" selected by default.
    Click on that third menu and select "Firefox" near the bottom of the list.

  • Removing Portal Branding image&Logos!

    Hi All
    I want to remove Portal branding image&Logos,b'z it takes lot of network space.
    We are maintaining 4000 users in EP.
    Suggest me...any problems if i remove those logos.
    thx
    Pradeep

    Pradeep,
    there shouldn't be any problems. Alternatively, simply replace them with a transparent 1x1 pixel gif, so that so at least have a valid image.

  • How to get rid of "Oracle Portal" label(text) when mouse is over Logo.gif image

    In several portal screens (for example:
    Add Item wizard, Create Folder wizard,
    Create Page Style Wizard, Account Info screen, Create Page wizard, Create Application Wizard, etc, etc.... )
    there is like a Banner with the Logo.gif image and the text "Oracle Portal" displayed when the mouse is OVER Logo.gif
    I know how to replace this image with our own file, but what i would like to know how to replace or eliminate the "Oracle Portal" text.
    I imagine the information for this Template is stored somewhere in the database.
    I will appreciate if someone can help me to identify where is located this info so I can delete/replace the text.
    Any other suggestions will be wellcome.
    Tks in advance

    Malin,
    when you install iAS, there is a directory
    oracle_home\portal30\images where all the image files are stored.
    for example, in my installation is:
    D:\oracle\iSuites\portal30\images
    one of the files is logo.gif, just overwrite that file with your own file (but keep the same name) and then your own logo or whatever you want will show up in the Portal.
    pls note that there are different image files you may want to replace.
    i hope it helps...

  • REPLACING ORACLE LOGO WITH MY LOGO

    REPLACING ORACLE LOGO WITH MY LOGO
    hi i tried to replace the oracle logo with my custom logo......but still tht logo is not appearinmg........i followed the steps mentioned in the following note in metalink......can u tell me wht went wrong.i have also attached my config settings in formsweb.cfg.
    You can either replace the Oracle logo with your custom logo, or just
    delete the Oracle logo. Both of these options are described below.
    Replacing the Oracle Logo with a Custom Logo
    ============================================
    Forms 6i(6.0.8.8 or above), has a new look when using the Oracle
    lookAndFeel parameter. An Oracle logo appears in the menu when you run
    the form on web. The logo is visible, even if you use a default menu
    or custom menu.
    Follow this procedure to that logo with your custom logo:
    1) Backup the following files:
    oracle_home/forms60/java/f60all.jar
    oracle_home/forms60/java/forms/icons/oracle_logo.gif
    2) Create your custom logo in gif format and rename it to oracle_logo.gif
    3) Copy your gif to the oracle_home/forms60/java/forms/icons directory.
    4) Open the f60all.jar in WinZip.
    5) Find a file called oracle_logo.gif in the archive and delete it.
    6) Create the following directory structure:
    c:\oracle\forms\icons
    7) Copy your custom logo(renamed to oracle_logo.gif) to:
    c:\oracle\forms\icons.
    8) In WinZip, choose Add a file, then select the oracle_logo.gif from:
    c:\oracle\forms\icons
    9) Add the file to the f60all.jar archive and close the jar file.
    10) Stop and restart your forms server.
    11) Clear the cache from your browsers.
    Now when you run the form on the web, your custom logo will appear in
    place of the Default Oracle logo.
    Removing the Oracle Logo from the Menu
    ======================================
    Use one of the following methods to remove the Oracle logo from the
    menu:
    -- If you do not need to use the "Oracle" lookAndFeel, use the
    "generic" lookAndFeel. When you use the generic look and feel, you
    do not see the Oracle logo in the menu. However, you do see the
    canvas in the windows default gray color. Also, the menu toolbar
    icons are gray.
    -- If you want to retain the Oracle look and feel but remove the
    Oracle logo only, add the following parameter in your html file,
    or add it in your URL:
    Logo="no"
    For example, in Netscape:
    lookAndFeel="Oracle"
    Logo="no"
    For example, in IE:
    <PARAM NAME="lookAndFeel" VALUE="Oracle">
    <PARAM NAME="Logo" VALUE="no">
    This suppresses the Oracle logo at runtime on the web.
    Solution Explanation
    ====================
    With the oracle lookAndFeel parameter, the Oracle logo is always
    inserted in the menu. You must remove the logo or add another logo
    with the same name if you want to replace the Oracle logo.

    hey,
    u can try making your own .jar with your icons inside and put it on the3 forms60/java directory.
    Include also the following line in cfg file:
    archive_jini = f90all_jinit.jar, [youriconsarchive].jar
    and maybe you should change imagebase to 'codebase' instead of documentbase.
    I have it like this and works ok. I can use every icon in my jar as logo or anything else..
    hope this helps
    regards,
    teo

  • Content pane painting over JPopupMenu

    I have a rather complex series of overridden components (JMenuBar, JPanels, JMenus, JFrame, etc.) that I aggregate to form a 'theme frame' --- basically a 'lightweight' L&F decorated frame. The main frame is an UNDECORATED JFrame derivation, in which I basically install a derived JMenuBar class that looks and acts like the top portion of the frame's 'border' (i.e. the title bar), as well as accomodating the menu items for the frame. I then launch several of these frames from the main application, each with its own set of menus (a single top-level JMenu with a few menu items on the popup).
    My problem is this... if there are more than 1 of these frames extant after the initial start-up of the application, I can invoke the top-level menu on all of the frames, but only 1 of them actually paints it correctly... the others will show the JPopupMenu, but then the embedded content repaints AFTERWARDS, thus painting over all but the first item on the menu. What's really very bazaar is that it seems to depend totally on location of the frame on the screen (i.e. in relation to the other frames). Initially, only the top-most and/or left-most frame will paint the JPopupMenu correctly, and the rest will exhibit this "show the popup, then paint the content pane over it" behavior.
    With the help of print statements, I've been able to determine that the frame which paints the popup correctly DOES NOT get a repaint() notification on it's content-pane, whereas the others do (hence the 'cover-up' behavior of those).
    It may be useful to note that the 'content' of these frames are actually applets, which themselves have a complex set of specialized components embedded in them.
    None of the menu objects or other components involved are static to the frame class, so nothing's being shared... also, if I move one of the non-functioning windows to a different location on the screen, then the menu works fine... move it back, and the menu gets painted over again.
    I'm using JDK 1.4, JBuilder X, all components are Swing.
    Any help, please??????
    XNHillBilly

    That did the trick! I had a gut feeling it was something simple like that... I still don't fully understand exactly what was going on (why one frame would paint fine, while the others wouldn't), but that's less important than having it work correctly at this point ;-)
    Thanks mucho rykk,

  • Images disappearing / being painted over

    Hi,
    Not especially familiar with images and am having issues with images being painted over when ever I move or adjust the size of my GUI. I built a majority of the GUI using the Form Designer included with Netbeans.
    Would really appreciate any advice, happy to include more detail if required.

  • Graphic keeps disappearing and getting painted over

    I am not quite sure what is going on here, but I think that my background is being repainted after I paint my rectangles on the screen, any help on what is going on here would be greatly appreciated.
    The way the code is currently set up is when I come into the method, I set my state to -1,
    The rectangle will then init itself and then go check my control variables,
    The control variables turn the rectangle the appropriate color
    since I have rip_staus_code = 10 it turns green, although
    The problem is after it turns green;
    the rectangle disappears!!!
    and I cant quite see where in the code I am repainting over the top of it.....
    Thank You

    I see a couple things wrong here.
    First, why are you overwriting paintChildren? If you want to do custom drawing, do that in paintComponent.
    Second, never change state inside a painting method. Why? Because you can't control how often repaint is called. Covering or partically covering the window, resizing the window, or programmatic calls to repaint will all cause the method to be called, and sometimes only on a portion of your component (such is the case when only partially covered). This can cause very weird visual effects. In your program, the first call to paint will paint the appropriate rectangle but then set the state flag. There is probably another call to repaint somewhere which will then repaint the component without the rectangle (because the state has now changed), painting over your rectangles. The solution, don't change the state in paint.

  • Making popup menus stop painting over the current window

    I'm making up a game that relies on a regular menu bar for it's menus. But for some reason the drop-down menus insist on rendering themselves over the current window instead of creating a new object over it like it should. This causes them to vanish right after opening because the game is constantly refreshing the area it paints over, but if I reduce the window drastically in a way there's no room to paint the drop-down menus over the existing area, they appear normally because a new window is created to display them.
    How do I ferce it to always create a new window?

    This causes them to vanish right after opening because the game is constantly refreshing the area it paints over,... implying that you have a wrong approach to custom painting
    but if I reduce the window drastically in a way there's no room to paint the drop-down menus over the existing area, they appear normally because a new window is created to display them.As expected
    How do I ferce it to always create a new window?Wrong question. Ask how to perform custom painting correctly -- which is answered in the tutorial suggested twice.

  • How do I remove leftover paint from a live paint object?

    I am trying to create my own typeface. I used live paint to paint over a grid and create letters. I'm trying to create words and the Professor wants me to eliminate any white color I may have used from white paint. I am able to show it by selecting the letter, ungrouping the object, selecting object and expand. Can you explain to me how to delete the leftover blue that don't match up with the black?

    Thank you so much! I really appreciate your help! Would it be okay if I ask you more questions?
    I was wondering could you explain to me how to make multiple rulers? I have one in light blue and I want to make another one.

  • Painting over patterns-- is this even possible?

    Hi all,
    So basically, here's the situation... I'm trying to paint on an element on a layer (belt for jeans) that has been filled with a pattern to match the pants and tie at the waist. (This is a texture map.) The problem is that PS doesn't seem to want to let me ctrl-click the layer and paint over an element that was overlaid with a pattern. If I turn off the pattern, then it works fine, but I need to be able to add more brush elements ON TOP OF the pattern. I'm not sure how to fix this, but it's going to be a problem if I can't. Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Select the entire belt, add a layer above the belt, and with the belt selected, add a layer mas to the new layer.  Apply your paint to the new layer, and toggle through the new layer's blend modes.  Darken, Multiply, colorburn or Overlay or softlight.  See what works.
