Removing Material from Batch Management

Currently have one material number that the batch indictor has been
turned on in material master view. There have been documents created,
which were backed out. No inventory in previous period and the batch
record has the delete indicator on. Trying to remove the batch indicator
from the material master view and receiving error msg that batch exists.
What would be the process to remove batch indicator?

  • Unable to post return delivery whne the input material is batch managed

    Hi,
While clearing the Subcontract GRN where the input material is batch managed, unable to put return delviery and the system throws error and unable to complete quantity posting.
    Please guide me.
    Regards,
    RR Gopalan

This is caused due to some technical restrictions in QM.
When the reverse movement is being posted through QM process, the goods movement is being created in the background and it is being posted without reference to a existing material document. That is the system behaves as if you create a return delivery via MB01. In this case, the system cannot determine the batch number. As the reverse is created in the background and the components are determined internally and the batch cannot be passed over from the QM transaction. To prevent postings and avoid unnecessary inconsistencies in stocks, system will issue the error message.
    Workaround:
The message M7389 is configurable. Hence please check in transcation OMCQ and set this as warning message. This would allow you to post the return delivery, But the problem is the batch nubmer would be wrong. So, You can define the corret batch number in the user-ext MBCFC010, it's MM related, You'd better to work with your MM colleagues.

  • Remove app from Profile Manager

    hello there,
Having set up my Lion Server with several users, I was testing the pushing of apps. It works just flawless.
But after playing I wanted to delete all the test apps I uploaded.
I can't find any option to delete them. Only a link on internet to delete it in the database.
Weird, one should be able to delete something?
Even, when I upload my first App, and then one day later the same App, but a newer file, still the old date of the first upload is in the App list.
    Do I miss something?
    Please helpme!

  • Material master - batch management not consistence with mara-xchpf

    Dear Experts:
We have a problem that the user created a new material and only created Basic Data/Accounting/Costing View, inside these views there is no "check field" about "Batch management" but in table both of MARA / MARC  the field XCHPF has value 'X' (checked).
in our system, there are 2 material no. has the same situation.
My question is why and how the field "batch management" has been checked and how can we remove it if there is no stocks, no open Doc and no any other transaction??
    Thanks a lot.
    SAP ECC 6.0

    Hi Jürgen L.
    Thanks again.
The problem is that we can't change the field "batch management", the material no. we have DOES NOT have Batch No., NO stock, the only docments we have are one PR and one PO, and all of them has the status deleted.
And I had tried to created a new material no. in our QAS, what we did to this new material no. is:
    1. Use MM01 to created  "Basic data 1" view refer to a "batch management" Material no. - Only Basic data 1 view and click save, nothing else.
    2. Use MM01 again to create "General Plant data/Storage 1" view, but the field "Batch Management" is checked and unchangeable, I think this is not reasonable,  and I dont know is there any other way I can change "batch management".
      thanks.
    Last update :
    The issue is resolved:
       2. Use MM01 again to create "General Plant data/Storage 1" view ,( the field "Batch Management" is checked and unchangeable), save material no.
      3. Use MM02 to change "Batch management", now the field "batch management" is changeable.
    Thanks you all

Batch management check once enabled, doesnot need to be enabled again in other view, its automatically enabled as they are all linked together and yes you can disable it for one plant.
In OMSR, look up for field MARC-XCHPF which is for batch management and change the field reference to display and save

  • Remove material from search results

Is anyone aware of a way to remove a material from search results?  I have a large contingent of materials that are no longer valid for sale and the search results create a lot of clutter.   I need to retain the records for historical sales transactions but since there is no stock and the materials are discontinued, they don't need to be displayed on search.

    Hi Craig,
You can do this through customising: SPRO > Logistics - General > Material Master >  Tools > Maintain Search Helps
There, give double clicl to the "Search Help" = MAT1_A.
Then, select the tab "Include search helps" and select the search where you want to add a field. i.e. MAT1V - Material by Supply Area.
Once you are there, check if you can add the field LVORM - DF at client level.
Then, save the data and in this search you can have the option to see all the materials deleted or not deleted.
By the way, Narla Rama Krishna Mohan has a document about "Material Master Search Help" and it can help you too.

  • Completely remove CUA from Solution Manager

    Hi All
I currently have an issue with our Solution Manager system, once of our Basis team has attempted to implement the CUA on solution manager, however this has obviously gone wrong at some point and now we have a huge collection of users in our solution manager system and a massive amount of alerts in our Work Centre.
Is there anyway I can remove this and get some of the config out?
    Any help would be great
    Thanks
    Phil

    Hi,
users, which had no system assignement to your central system (existedphysically only in child systems) got locked by running rsdelcua in your central system. Just check the change logs for today (date of deletion of the CUA) of your users. All users who got the lock flag at the time rsdelcua had been run, don't need access to your former central system and could be removed.

  • Batch management requirement cannot be changed; choose "Display errors

i am getting this error in material master when i am removing tick from batch managment
    regard
    nabil

Batch management requirement cannot be changed; choose "Display errors"
    Message no. M3530
    Diagnosis
The pushbutton Display errors appears only in dialog mode, not in data transfer or in mass maintenance.
    Procedure
If this message appears in data transfer or in mass maintenance, and you want to know why the field cannot be changed, access the material in dialog mode using the relevant transaction below, try to change the field as required, and then choose Display errors:
    Industry
    Proceed

  • How to remove Batch Management Check in the Material

I have one requirement to remove batch management check in the materials which should not be deleted.
I created a testing material with batch management check on and put in material through 561, then did good issue for
scrapping to remove the stock out. So existing stock is zero in Material Master.
Then deleted the batch in MSC2N by putting all the delete checks on. There was just one batch created for the material.
Then ran transaction MM74 to archive, the spool request is as below:
    MCHB: 000000000010000498 2002 1002 D000000200 entry archived                             1 000000000010000498
    Archiving Session Number                                  000004
Number of Written Data Objects                                1
Size of Archiving Session in MB                           0,011
Proportion of Header Data in %                             96,7
Then in MMPV changed the closing period to may as all the postings were performed in april.
Now still when I go and remove the batch management check in MM02 Purchasing view, still gives we DISPLAY ERROR message:
    The batch management requirement cannot
    be changed for the follow
    Batches already exist.
ANY IDEAS why its not allowing me to remove the check as I guess I have performed all the steps required.

Check whether the batch master is still exists in MSC3N .if it ia archived it should not be avialble in MSC3N
    Refer note:30656
    Reason and Prerequisites
The message that stocks still exist refers not only to stocks in the current period, but also to stocks in the previous period.
The reason for checking previous period stocks is that postings can also be made to the previous period when entering goods movements. This would result in inconsistencies if the base unit of measure had meanwhile been changed.
    Solution
Check whether stocks still exist for the previous period by displaying; for example, the plant stock view or storage location stock view of the material. You do this by selecting "Extras -> Previous period -> Prev. pd SLoc. stock or Prev. pd plant stock".
If previous period stocks exist, you can make a withdrawal posting as follows:
    1. Post the same amount to current period stock (for example, using movement type 561) so that previous period stock and current period stock are identical.
    2. Make a withdrawal posting in the previous period for the stock together with posting date (for example, using movement type 562).
You can now try to change the base unit of measure or the batch management requirement indicator again.
Since the posting of the previous period values to zero is identical with posting to the stocks of the current period, you should reverse the above stock postings (that is, the stock from the previous period should be booked in again) to make sure that the stock values from the previous and the current periods correspond to the state before the change. However, note that the postings are then carried out using the changed master data from the current period (for example, account determination and so on)
