Removing Norton that came with HP desktop?

I have the HP Pavillion a6600f and I would like to remove the Norton Antivirus software that came with the machine so I can download and use the Norton suite that comes with my Comcast Xfinity subscription. I've tried installing the Comcast version on top of the other one, but the one that came with the PC keeps over-riding it and telling me that I need to renew it every time I start the pc. It's very frustrating! Itried removing it thru the control panel, manually-folder by folder, but it won't let me! So how do I get rid of it?

Try downloading and running the relevant Norton Removal Tool for the particular version of Norton you want to uninstall - see the link below.
Norton Removal Tool.
When this has completed, restart the PC before installing the new version.

Is there a way to remove your sim card if you don't have the tool that came with your phone? I wanted to see if I could upload my old information to the iCloud, by putting the new sim card into the old phone, since I didn't before I updated my new phone.

Any metal clip will do. Insert the tip in the little hole next to the Sim Card and press FIRMLY. The SIM drawer will pop out.

Kstat utility not functioning after removing perl version that came with OS

I apologize in advance if this isn't the proper forum but maybe somebody could point me in the right direction (or where else to ask this question).
I need to get the kstat utility working again on a Solaris 9 machine. The perl version that came with the OS was removed and a new version was installed in /usr/local/perl5.8.6. The modules on which kstat depends upon I'm assuming need to be installed into the new perl installation.
I get the following:
$ kstat
Can't locate Sun/Solaris/Utils.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/local/perl5.8.6/lib/5.8.6/sun4-solaris /usr/local/perl5.8.6/lib/5.8.6 /usr/local/perl5.8.6/lib/site_perl/5.8.6/sun4-solaris /usr/local/perl5.8.6/lib/site_perl/5.8.6 /usr/local/perl5.8.6/lib/site_perl /ublocal/lib/perl .) at /bin/kstat line 15.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /bin/kstat line 15.
I think I need to install these modules:
use Sun::Solaris::Utils qw(textdomain gettext gmatch);
use Sun::Solaris::Kstat;
Could somebody tell me how to do this? I cannot find them on CPAN.

Don't know the legality of this -- but you could in
theory download the source from
"http://cvs.opensolaris.org/source/xref/on/usr/src/cmd
/perl/contrib/Sun/Solaris/" and then compile/build
the modules yourself.
You might need to compile your own perl distro with
Sun's C/C++ compiler (download Sun Studio from Sun)
and then compile (where applicable) the Sun::Solaris
suite for your modified perl distro. Also, I think
there's an option to use a Perl-GCC module if your
perl is gcc-compiled.
You can tell by running "perl -V".Perl was compiled from source using Sun's C/C++ compiler.
I downloaded the Sun/Solaris/Utils module and it compiled and installed without a problem using the Sun compiler. When I try to build the Sun/Solaris/Kstat module, it fails with the error:
"/usr/platform/sun4u/include/sys/fhc.h", line 699: syntax error before or at: dnode_t
"/usr/platform/sun4u/include/sys/fhc.h", line 699: cannot recover from previous errors
cc: acomp failed for Kstat.c
make: *** [Kstat.o] Error 2
The error is not descriptive enough for me to diagnose and I can't seem to find anything about this other than the following bug:

Guys, I've solved my problem about that error -10202 (Selected driver not found).
I have installed in my Mac Pro (OS X 10.5.8) a document with an extension ".rsrc" to correct the position of the accents in my keyboard, like acute accent, tilde and circumflex.
That file is called "U.S. - International.rsrc" and it's stored in the following path:
"Macintosh HD/Library/Keyboard Layouts"
So, when it's properly installed, I can choose 2 country flags on the right side of the menu bar (U.S. - International and Brazilian).
That's the clue!
When I pick up "U.S. - International", my keyboard works fine with the accents, >>>BUT<<< Logic Pro 9 doesn't recognize my audio driver; and when I pick up "Brazilian", my keyboard doesn't work with the accents exactly as it shows me on each key, BUT Logic Pro 9 DOES recognize my audio driver.
So, when I want to write anything out, I will pick up the "US - International" and when I want to work on the Logic Pro 9, I will pick up "Brazilian".

Thank you for your reply. Unfirtunally that is not the solution. I have looked very closely but I don't have a bent arrow (I work on an iMac Indesign CC 2014).
And I don't want to filter them out, I want to delete those fonts Adobe gave me because I don't use them.

Because it was valuable software it was never downloadable; also it was a special "OEM" version that could I think only be installed from that CD.
Acrobat 7 doesn't work properly on Windows 7 and later anyway.

Have the Mini's Serial# handy & call Apple Care, they usually have original replacement Discs available.

Why does only the USB cable that came with my phon...

I recently acquired a Nokia Lumia Icon from Verizon. I have a Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 computer running Windows 8.1 with the Windows Phone App for Desktop (WPA4D) installed. I had a very difficult time getting my Icon to be seen by my computer when connecting it with one of the half dozen micro USB cables I have laying around. WPA4D would not recognize it. Then, I connected it using the USB cable that came with the phone, and WPA4D immediately recognized it. Then I unplugged it and went back to a different cable - it was again not recognized.
What is different about the USB cable that ships with the Nokia Lumia Icon? If I want to order more, like from Monoprice, what do I order to get the same thing? Why is Nokia (apparently) using some sort of proprietary cable??

It is not proprietary.The charging/data cable for my GPS works.
A lot of the cables are just for charging and that is all they are wired for and they don't even have the data pin. Full size USB cables are the same way.
If I needed an extra I would get it from Nokia.

Drag the com.apple.mail folder to the Desktop
Scroll to Mail folder.
Select the V2 > MailData folder.
Delete any files in MailData with envelope in the name. (should be 3)
Log out under the Apple in the Menu bar.
Log in
When you open Mail it will re-index your files.

in many countries to make phones seem less expensive
carriers pay most of the phones price for the customer
but this come at the cost of the phone only being able to work
with the carrier this is called a sim lock
the only people who can remove a sim lock is the carrier which
the phone is sim locked to they been doing it like that for at least 20 years

I am having problems with my optical corded mouse that came with my iMac (it's about 2 years old) It stops working periodically, and I can't figure out how to fix it; doesn't look like I can open it to clean it, or anything like that.

The little tracball may work scrolling down a page, but not up, sometimes, and I have yet to figure out how to fix it, or why it happens at all. You have been syncing the iPhone with iTunes on your computer without a SIM card inserted in the iPhone for how long?
If the iPhone says connect to computer, this means there is a problem with your iPhone that requires restoring the iPhone with iTunes. As already provided, not having a SIM card inserted in an iPhone does not prevent or shouldn't prevent syncing the iPhone with iTunes. Depending on the iPhone model, it is required in order to restore the iPhone with iTunes.

To re-activate an iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS that displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen:
Insert a SIM card from the carrier with which you used your phone. Note: If you are using the same carrier, you can use the activated SIM card from your new device to do this. If your device is unlocked by your carrier, you can use any SIM card.
Connect the iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS to iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet.
iTunes will then activate the device. You can remove the SIM card at this point and use the iPhone as if it were an iPod touch.
