Removing "phone" sound from audio made over the phone
I'm producing a documentary and want to get some sound bites from a range of people all over the country The only way to get them is by phone. Does anybody have filter info that will let me remove the "phone" sound from these clips?
A phone sounds like a phone because it's already filtered. A lot of both the high and low frequency information is removed from the audio signal on a phone line. Once it's removed there's not really a way to get it back. You can try to reduce the most offensive "tinny" frequencies with an EQ, but you won't be able to add the full frequency range back in.

I've been running Windows XP over Bootcamp on iMac for a few years and I can't seem to get any sound from external devices into the machine. Any ideas?

I would do 1 thing at a time:"now the micropohone is not working in facetime"
Here is what you can check to get your mike working in facetime:
1. Hold down option while you click on the speaker next to time a. date,
under input Device see if your mic is marked. If not: ✔️
2. Click the apple top left/System Prefs./click on the Sound speaker:
under Input highlight microphone.
3. When you have factime on go to video above scroll and see if your mic is marked ✔️
If that does not get it to work there is more you can check:
(Utilities/Audio, midi setup)
For any other audio device you do this for input and output.

Is some sound manager preinstalled on your notebook? You can find it in control panel. Is there something like Realtek sound manager? -
i recently buy an apple iphone 4s.the problem is that when i started music player on my iphone the speaker is not outputting the sound.and when i lock the phone at the same time the sound starts.thos problem is from last 3 days.and i am really confused???
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If the issue continues, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement. -
My 4s has stopped giving me calendar alert sounds and I have rebooted the phone several times and I also have restored from a current backup. HELP!!!!!
I have done each in succession. First power down and then hold both power and home button to reboot. No success the multiple times I have done it.

I bought and legally own PS CS3. Installed on a desktop and the machine died completely. Downloaded a trial of CS3 from Adobe site. Went to activate and said too many activations. Activate over the phone. EXCEPT Adobe does not handle activation issues over the phone. Adobe doesn't care about their older products - they don't care that I spent hundreds of dollars for CS3. This is truly disgusting corporate behavior. Is there anything I can do? We aren't all rich photographers. I paid a great deal of money for this product. Is it now useless?Thank you,

I am trying to activate Windows 8 Enterprise. However, the workstation I'm running it on is not able to connect to the Internet. So, I select "Activate over the phone". However, the "Click nearest location" is greyed out.
The default is set to Afghanistan, which unhelpfully lists a toll number to call in Afghanistan...which would work if I lived in Afghanistan, but I don't. Other than pluggint the system into the Internet is there a way to activate my copy of Windows

I am trying to remove background sounds in a file using the Spectral Frequency display. The first edit on a new file, this process works fine:
1. use brush to cover sound
2. right click, learn sound model
3. effects/noise-reduction-restoration/Sound Remover
The next time I try to remove another sound in the file, "learn sound model" is greyed out. I have to close the file and reopen to be able to make another edit. What on earth is going on? Can it only learn one sound model or something?

One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

OK, so I have the 1st generation iPad. There is an AirPlay symbol, near the music symbol. Is this useless? If I enable it, what does it enable? And, what technological advances were made over the last 2 versions that have made my iPad 1, obsolete?

DekelTo contact support for your MacBook, use this link. Since a MacBook can be serviced worldwide, you should have no problems finding an Authorized Apple Service Provider that an check the battery of your computer. If this was an original Apple battery, tell Apple Support about it. The battery in my MacBook also go bigger, but I noticed that before the case got damaged. I took it to an Authorized Apple Service Provider and Apple replaced the battery for free. Take your battery out of the computer, just to be sure.

Did you buy the phone second hand? If the Activation Lock had been activated using a different Apple ID, the phone can't be used anymore, unless you remove the lock in iCloud, using the correct Apple ID to log into that previous owner account.

On 9/29 I ordered an iPhone 6 Plus 128GB as an edge up from my 5S, swiped my card at the store to pay the Edge Up fee, and was told 10/31 was the expected ship date.
Didn't see the order on my My Verizon account, spoke with 3 representatives on the phone to actually get the order number so I could track it.
On 10/24 the ship date disappeared and I called to find out there was an issue with the payment. I gave them my debit card number over the phone for the Edge Up amount, and they charged me full retail -- OVER $1,000.
They promised it wouldn't post to my account and it wouldn't ship after cancelling the order. Next day it shipped. I called FedEx and refused the package over the phone.
I called when the payment posted the next day, totally wiping out my bank account and charging me overdraft fees.
They said they'd push for a refund immediately -- on Sunday, 10/24. It's now 10/30, I see no refund, I have no phone, and I have over $100 in bank fees from their mistake.
I spoke with a supervisor on the phone and they said they could refund the bank fees, but would do nothing for the fact that they screwed up my order, and told me it would be another 2-3 weeks before they actually ship a phone to me if I ordered today.
Sorry, but that's NOT good customer service. I can buy out my Edge agreement, sell the phone on eBay, and go to another carrier pretty easily. I don't want to leave Verizon's service, but I don't really see how they value me as a customer?
Does anyone else have some idea of what I could do about this whole thing??
TL;DR -- Verizon charged full retail for a phone instead of Edge Up fee, still no refund, no compensation for the inconvenience and stress they caused, and another 2-3 week wait on a phone I ordered a month ago.That situation went from inconvenient to complicated quickly. Wait for any pending orders to drop off, wait for things to clear up, wait till your upgrade comes up and then upgrade when your contract is fulfilled. I would have suggested a replacement phone, I know, with only a month left why couldn't you just upgrade early, but these situations where people try to upgrade early always end horribly and once a phone order starts, it almost cannot finish until something winds up shipped received and returned. Sorry this happened the way it did. Definitely not efficient.

I have been reading many FAQS recent ly about this same promotion regarding the upgrade to the iphone 5c 32g and it appears so many of you have been having countless issues with it.... I feel horrible for everyone who has been dealing with this headache. Makes me wonder what i did right because i have had no problems at all, Simply called Verizon over the phone and the rep was super nice and patience and very helpful. All i had to do was call in the next day in the very early AM so they could stop the wrong phone i origanlly ordered before it wasshipped( which was thru The Edge Program) and they stopped it in time luckily before it was shipped and than the same rep canceled out the Edge option and redid everything under the new early upgrade option instead for the 5c 32 gig blue and i got it two days later with no cost whatsoever other than activation fee of 30 bucks billed to next billing cycle. Got phone and all is good from the looks. Honestly no idea what i did that worked for me but it worked. Maybe i just caught the promotion before it was immeaditatly taken off website.

I've just joined google for my email and like you wanted to sync my contacts and calendar.
I had a couple of problems but have ironed them out below.
First....Google have a 'google sync' program that is advertised as syncing both your contacts and calendar. This has not worked for me. I can sync my calendar no problem at all, but it hasn't worked for my contacts. On looking across the google firums I am by no means alone and indeed google employees who post there have acknowledged the problem too,
So how to get round it and sync your calendar and contacts?

Follow the instructions and tell the Mail for Exchange program NOT to sync your contacts. Like I said, although it's supposed to I couldn't get it to work despite a reformat of the device twice! A google employee on the forums even went out and bought the 5800 and tried to get it to work as he has noted that people are having problems. Hopefully it'll be addressed in the future.

All the details for contacts sync are laid out for the pages of setup you have for a S60 3rd edition device. If, like me you have a S60 5th edition device, the details are all there but are requested in a different order. Have a good scan of the pages and you WILL find all the info you need.
Both methods work great for me and I'm delighted.
