Removing Photo Albums

My phone currently says that there is 6.8 GB being taken from my photos/videos. I am trying to delete my photo albums so I can save space but it is not letting me do that. Has anyone experienced this or know how to take off albums off the iphone. I am using an iPhone 4s

Photo Album pictures are removed using the sync process. Connect your phone to iTunes and deselect the photo folders you no longer want on your phone on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings, then sync to remove them from your phone.
Edit: I meant to say that pictures in Photo Library on your phone need to be removed using the sync process.

I have been trying to remove photo albums from my Iphone4 which have been synced from my PC. Is there any way of doing this without taking the phone to the staff at the Apple Store?

Connect the phone, click on the Photos tab and uncheck the albums you want to remove. Then sync.
BTW, the staff at the Apple store won't be able to do it unless you take your computer to them.

As soon as you sync your phone to a different computer & put a check in the box to sync photos under the photos tap in iTunes, then hit the apply/sync button, all of these photos will be erased from your phone.

How did the photos/albums get onto the phone ?
Only photos taken with the iPhone or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the phone - either via the trashcan icon at the bottom right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it top right in thumbnail view. Albums that you've created directly on the phone can be deleted via the Edit button at the top right of the album selection screen.
Photos/albums that were synced from your computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from on your computer and then re-syncing

Iphone 4. just synced with laptop and to my horror now have every photo from laptop in albums on my phone which i cannot remove. Have gone back into sync mode and it wont let me access the albums on phone to delete. Such ridiculous situation not to be able to delete by choice on phone. Sync only repeats the process. Not a happy iphone user. Can anyone help and suggest a simple way to remove the albums. Also what to do when syncing to avoid happening again. When syncing, I dont seem to be able to access my iphone or chose what sync processes i want as the sync only happens as one process including the photos. Is this a fault?? Cannot believe Apple would make this such a difficult process. Help appreciated.

The removed photo albums in iWeb are not removed from my website.

I have removed a few photo albums from my web site in iWeb and added none. When uploading the changes to my website it still shows all the albums only the links of the removed albums are not valid any more.
How can I get the albums completely removed from my site via iWeb?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You are hosting your site on a MobileMe account, correct?
Try publishing the entire site with the File ➙ Publish Entire Site menu. If that doesn't clear out the old stuff from your web site try the following:
1 - close iWeb.
2 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
3 - go to your User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete the contents.
4 - reboot.
5 - launch iWeb and and try again.
Still if not cleared out publish the site to a folder on your hard drive and open the local copy with your browser to see if that shows the changes to the site.

Removing Photo Album, or the photos therein

Hello,
I've synced some photos using iTunes from a folder, it worked OK until I noticed that portrait/paysage was not handled correctly, but this is another issue.
So on the Mac I moved the photos to subfolders, and re-synced. Of course I expected the photos from the main "Photo album" to be removed on the iPhone.
Instead, the new iPhone albums contained the subfolder photos all right, but the main Photo Album still contains the photos that were moved and aren't there anymore in the main folder. Follow me?
Now I can't find a way to remove them on the iPhone. What can I do?
(Besides selling all this Apple gear and going back to Microsoft, I mean.)

Camera Roll = Pics taken with camera.
Photo Library = ALL PHOTOS SYNCED TO PHONE
Any other one listed under Photo Library are your each Sub Folder to create "libraries" for each sub folder.
But the main point is that the Photo Library is a combination of all your sub folders. The images are not stored twice, it is just like a Master View.

Having trouble removing photo albums from iPhone 4S

I have several photo albums on my iPhone that I would like to remove, they were created after i downloaded pics from emails, the pics do not have a trash can icon for convenient deletion, I cannot see these albums on my pc when i try to access the files in regular folders (which would be nice and convenient) and I cannot access these albums in anyway through iTunes (as far as I can tell), what can I do to remove these albums I wonder?

If you created the albums in the Photos app, then, in Album view, touch the Edit button. Any Album that you can delete will then have an "X" in the upper left corner of its album icon. Touch the "X" to delete that album.
Other albums that were created by syncing with a PC can only be deleted by syncing with iTunes on that PC with the album unselected.

I accidentally moved a photo album to my desktop and would like to remove it. How do I do that?

If you want to use a different album in iPhoto, choose another album and then hit the desktop icon.
If you don't want to use any albums in iPhoto for you screen saver,
Open System Preferences, found in your dock or Applications folder.
Click on the Desktop and Screen saver pref pane and choose a different folder of images to use as the desktop and a different screen saver.

Removing photo albums from iPhone & iPad

I Have several photo albums on my iPhone and iPad that I want to delete, but when viewing photo albums and click on "edit", there's no option to remove anything. I've logged into my cloud account to remove them, but there's nothing referring to photos.

How did those photo albums get on the iPad in the first place? If they were copied to the iPad by syncing with your computer you need to do another sync to delete them. Start iTunes on your computer and connect your iPad. Select your ad in iTunes and then click on the photos tab In iTunes. Deselect the albums you want to delete then click on apply or sync.

How are you accessing the photos? If using home-sharing you should be able to access your library, make sure you have given access (iTunes - file - home sharing - choose photos to share)

How to remove photo album from IPhone 5

I copied a photo album from my PC to my IPhone (for a slideshow at a funeral). The photos did not originate on the IPhone. Now I want to remove this photo album, but there does not seem to be any way to do so. The Iphone does not appear to allow for removal, and the album does not appear in ITunes on my PC.
The Settings>General>Usage tab allows me to delete all of my music, thus allowing me to reinstall what I want, but this feature isn't available for photos.

To delete synced photos and videos from your device
In iTunes, click the Device button in the upper right corner. (If viewing the iTunes Store, click the Library button in the upper-right corner first.)
Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
Note: To delete all synced photos, deselect "Sync Photos from" and, when asked, click "Remove photos."

The exact same way you put them there.
Open itunes, connect iphone, select what you want to be on the iphone, sync.
