Removing pin(s)

How do I remove  a pin that doesn't have a " remove pin " button?

If you have anyting in the search field delete it.  If the pin is still there, tap the bookmark icon to the right of the search bar, tap Recents, at the bottom, then tap Clear at the top (this will clear you recent searches and their associated dropped pins).

  • Spot removal pins disappear after photoshop install

Yesterday I installed Photoshop CC. Since the install, the spot removal pins in Lightroom don't show up. This is the case both for spots that were removed prior to installing photoshop, and for new spot removals. The spot is removed, but I cannot see where the spot was (due to no in) nor where the data to remove the spot is coming from, so I can't move the target area either. This makes quite a dent in the functionality of spot removal in Lightroom, so if anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know. I assume that this is somehow related to the photoshop install - there have been no other software updates, installs or removals on the computer at all during this period.

Hit the "H" key while using the spot tool to get the circles back.

  • Can't remove pin after making local adjustment

Instructions say that to delete an edit pin, click on it then press the Delete key. This removes the adjustment. I'm fininshed with my adjustments and just want to remove the pin. How do I do this and keep the adjustment?

The pin is how you select a particular set of adjustments if you want to readjust something so you shouldn’t be deleting it.
If you mean you want to hide the pin, then if you switch away from the tool the pin should disappear.  You can also set the tool options down at the bottom left from Always to None or Auto or Selected to determine when the pin shows or not, but only when you are in that tool.

  • Remove pin- iphoto- places

I will try to be more descriptive.( I am new to all this) In iphoto if you go to albums, click on any picture, at the right lower corner of pic there is a" i", when you click on that, a window opens, where you will see "photo place" u can type in the state or the country where the pic was taken, and a the map will show. You will see "drop a pin" , click on that and a pin (red) will drop on the location of where the picture was taken.
Okay, here is my question: how do you remove that pin for the location on the map ?
I have not found that information in the videos. Any info. or direction with this would be appreciated
    Thank you !

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You can't assign a location to a photo and not have it have a pin when viewed in the info pane or the Places mode. That's what adding a location does. If you want to remove it from the Places mode remove the location info from the photo.
If you add a photo with location info to a book and had a map page in the book you don't have to have that photo be resented. You can select which photos to use in the map.

  • Removing PIN from BIS account

I've searched everywhere for both a RIM contact number, or any other instructions on how to remove a PIN from my account so another co-worker can set up his own account with the old phone. All I can find is a pay-per-call number for blackberry support. Is there an automated removal process somewhere where I can perform the equivalent of a BB wipe on the server side? Any help is appreciated.

I do agree with d_fisher. But this scenario can be avoided if the carrier's have a specialized support team for BlackBerry. Whenever any complex query any front line representatives receives he/she will pass is the specialized team.

  • Safari removing pinned top site???

There is one website that I recently added to my top sites. I pinned it, as I do to all of my top sites. The website will stay in my top sites for a few days, and then it will suddenly disappear. I'll re-add it, and it'll disappear again. I've repeated this whole process several times. What is wrong with my Safari top sites?
Safari 7.0.6 on a Macbook Air.

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If thata doesn't help, back to the Finder.
From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.Safari.plist file to the desktop.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test again. If that helped, move the com.apple.Safari.plist file to the Trash.
And make sure your Mac's OS X softtware is up to date. Click the Apple  top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click Software Update.

  • Remove Powershell Pinned Item from taskbar for all users in 2008 R2 RDS server

Im trying to remove the Powershell Pinned Item from the taskbar on a 2008 RDS server. I have setup a mandatory porfile from a 2008 SP2 server (because you cannot do this in R2 any more), Check the default user pinned items folder, check the registry for powershell.exe, loaded up the NTUSER.DAT file for default to see if any thing obious was there, tried some logon scripts that are suppose to remove pinned items and posted on several forums. This has to be one of the simplest dumb things i have ever worked on , and its been about a week. So how do i remove it?
    P.S.
having the user click un pinn is not a solution
    yes i have checked C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

    Hi Jeramy,
The default pinned items are created the first time a user logs in. Modifying the default user profile won’t help here.
The easiest option is to set the “Remove pinned programs from the Taskbar” to disable taskbar pinned items altogether. The default pinned items won’t show up, but the user won’t be able to pin anything else either.
If you don't want to disable pinning altogether the solution is a little more complicated. One option is to remove the shortcuts “Accessories\Windows PowerShell\Windows PowerShell.lnk” and “Administrative Tools\Server Manager.lnk” from the common start menu folder. These shortcuts are copied to create the pinned items. If they aren’t present they can’t be pinned. This is not a supported option but it may work.
Another option is to use IStartMenuPinnedList::RemoveFromList in a first run script to remove the pinned items. Not sure how reliable this would be due to the timing of when the default items are added compared to when the script would run.
One other option is to use shell scripting to invoke the pin & unpin verbs on items:
    http://blogs.technet.com/deploymentguys/archive/2009/04/08/pin-items-to-the-start-menu-or-windows-7-taskbar-via-script.aspx
This would need to be done when the user first logs in (since unpinning default items in the default user profile won't affect each new user account), but it also need to be timed after Explorer sets up the default pinned items as explained above.
Hope one of these options work for you!
    ~Olga

  • How to remove red pin from map app when dropped

How do i remove or delete the red pin on the map app when it dropped?

The label that is with the pin. Touch the blue arrow to the side of it and then touch where it says Remove Pin.
EDIT: I just re-read what you said. If it is a red pin, it is from a searched address. In that one, you have to cancel the search and the pin will go away.

  • Remove default pinned items from taskbar with gpo/p

I have created a custom windows 7 pro image through audit mode and then sysprepped it.  Upon new user login, I notice that the three default taskbar items (IE, WMP, Explorer) are still there.  How can I get rid of these with a gpo/p?
And yes, the CopyProfile tag is set to true in my sysprep.xml file.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
As far as I know, there is a Group Policy setting to change the Pin behavior.
User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Start Menu and Taskbar\Remove pinned programs from the taskbar
The pinned item information are saved in the following locations:
    File System:
    %APPDATA%\\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar
    Registry:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Taskband]
    Hope this helps. Thanks.
    Dale
No Dale, that does not help me.  If I enable that gpo, it will prevent users from pinning items to the taskbar, we need our users to have that ability.
And if you delete the .lnk files from
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Taskband]
it does not remove them from the taskbar, actually all it does is make it an unusable shortcut with no target.
And there is nothing in that registry key that is useful.
    Any other suggestions?

  • Trying to remove red pin from Maps, there is no button to remove it, folks . . .

Have had my iphone 4 for eight months. Updated to iOS 5 recently. Didn't have this problem before but I am UNABLE to remove the red pin from Maps.
Turned my phone off completely, and it seemed to remove the red pin on turning it back on. But this is not a convenient maneuver.  I was able to drop a purple pin and remove it. But once a red pin is down, THERE IS NOTHING THERE TO REMOVE IT. I'm certain that there is a bug here that needs to be fixed.
Option 1 under  "Directions", tap on the red pin, tap on the blue arrowhead, tap "remove pin" - - - but there is no such button to "remove pin".
Option 2, under "Directions", tap on "edit", I thought there used to be a blue "clear" button to remove everything, but there is none.
Instead under "Directions", tap "edit", tap the grey circle with a "x" inside to remove the address, but it does not make it go away, and the red pin always comes back. The blue cancel button on upper left hand corner also does not remove the red pin.
Please help. I already read multiple postings on this. I have not found the correct answer for my question. Thx.

There's no way to remove it.  Either ignore it or update.

  • Pin removal problem in iPlanet CMS / DS

    hi,
Can anyone throw some light on the problem I'm having:
How iplanet CMS removes pins for which the pinattr atribute is not mapped to
    "pin" ,but some other artibute.
The CMS.cfg gets updated with the proper value of pinattr viz
    auths.instance.PinDirEnrollment.pinAttr=pin/adppin as given through the
GUI,the Pin based enrollment works fine to the point of authenticating
against the uid ,password and PIN supplied .But after certifcate isuual if
the pinattr value is set to an attribute which is not named "pin" ,it fails
to remove the pin for that entity .
The exact reason for not removing cant be traced until unless we actually
get to debug the plug-in PinRemovalListener.java and PinRollment realted
    java files.
I am not able to figure out why it is not able to take the correct mapping
at the time of pin removal which it could do at the time of pin
    authentication.
Any information / pointers will be greatly appreciated.
    TIA
    - toohey

    Did the packages install correctly?
If yes, run the following command to configure a DS instance:
    /usr/ds/v5.2/sbin/directoryserver configure -debugMessage | tee config.out
This will turn on lots of debug info and send it to a file called config.out. This should help you determine your problem.
