Removing Plug-ins after Uninstall

I did an unistall of Logic Pro following the instructions available in Apple's support document at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300659.
It didn't cover Plug-In installations that Pro may have made.
Any ideas as to how to decide which these were and how to remove them for disc space...without damaging my Logic Express install?

Hey J,
Libraries and such would be located here: HD>Library>Application Support>Logic
Not sure where the actual plugs are because I think they are embedded into the application itself. You could run your AU Manager from the Logic menu when the app is open and do a scan and disable what you don't want to use if they show up (not in front of Logic at the moment).
Hope that helps!

  • Remove plug-ins

How can I remove plug-ins? I've done trials with a couple of different HDR plug-ins and would like to remove the ones I didn't choose.  Even after deleting the HDR trial program from the list of apps the plug-in remains. Checked all the usual places for help but no luck.
    Thanks.

Never mind ... as soon as I posted the question "More Like This" led me to a similiar question in the iTunes forum and that gave me the clue to track down the answer (it's in the Library>Aperture>Plug-ins).

  • How do you remove plug-ins from a track?

This might sound stupid, but I don't know how to remove plug-ins from a track.
Not only bypassing them, but removing them completley!
    Help anyone?
    Thanks!

May I suggest reading the "Exploring Logic Pro" manual. It's a short read and has the exact answer your looking for plus it will answer so many other operational questions.
Really a good place to start, 2nd listing from the top.

  • How do I remove plug-ins?  I have "extensions" turned off but am unable to use any internet games - receive error message saying to remove plug ins

Since  a recent software update I've not been able to use any internet games - says to remove plug ins.  I have turned off all extensions and followed other online advice to remove plug ins, but the games still do not work

I am getting an error with iTonerSupport not in 64bit mode.
It seems in my case this folder: /Users/[yourusername]/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins is no longer viewable in the finder window.
I had to navigate to this folder via the terminal comand line and delete the iTonerSupport.bundle using rm -r command.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do you remove plug-ins and cookies

How can I remove plug-ins and cookies from my computer?

The exact method of deleting cookies depends on which browser you are using.  But it will be in your preferences.
    Examples:
    Safari: Preferences --> Security
    Firefox: Preferences --> Privacy
Plugin-ins is not a clear term.  Do you mean extensions or add-ons to your browser?  If so that depends on which browser you use to maintain plug-ins or add ons.
    Examples:
    Safari: Preferences --> Extensions
    Firefox: Add Ons menu
Do you mean internet plugins like the Adobe Flash plugin?  Those can be found in two possible places:
~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins  (in your home directory)
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins

  • How do you remove plug-ins?

    How do you remove plug-ins?
Following advice found on the internet, I deleted the plugin files in the Acrobat folder, and it wreaked havoc with Acrobat.

Some third party plug-ins are simple to remove, just delete the relevant file from the plug_ins folder (they may also be in a subfolder). Some are complex, and have uninstallers in control panel like other software. If in doubt refer to the documentation for the product.
Note that you cannot connect file names in plug_ins to items in Acrobat directly; the names may be obvious, but you may have to experiment. Be sure you aren't removing any of Acrobat's own files in the same folder.
If that doesn't help we'd better look more closely at the havoc wrought.

  • Acrobat retains plug-ins after deletion

I have installed Acrobat Pro 8.1 and added upgrades for 8.1.1 and 8.1.2.
This is with Vista Home Premium.
I added some plug-ins eg pitstop and then uninstalled them. They are not in the plug-ins directory or on any drive, however Acrobat still has them working?
I also have a problem when I click help, I get no drop down and the program stops working?

    For info! Problem solved.
I have found the api Using advanced search method and ticking the box "Include non-indexed, hidden and system files" option.
    It found
    C:\Users\Ian\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\plug_ins\...
Now I do have a virtual machine loaded to run XP programs that fail in vista I must have once had acrobat on it with these plug-ins then I removed acrobat, so now when I look at it I see no acrobat and think it is clean, but there it is! Even now if I look at c:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\plug_ins in the XP virtual machine I see nothing infact there is no Acrobat 8 at all, but this file remains!
So If I go to vista, as me, delete that file when acrobat runs the plug-ins have gone.

  • How do i remove tibsearch from my macbook air, i have tried the suggestions of removing plug-ins but i can't seem to get rid of it

Hi, can anyone tell me how to remove tibsearch from my macbook air, i have tried removing the plug-ins as suggested etc, but nothing seems to work.
    Thanks

Did you turn off extensions, too? Safari Preferences > Extensions tab

  • I still get blocked plug-ins after downloading latest flash player.  Is there a fix for this?

Blocked plug-ins.  I've downloaded the latest Adobe Flash player after "Delete all" in the System Preferences\Adobe Flash Player Advanced tab, moved the flash player plug-ins from disabled internet plug-ins to internet plug-ins in the Library folder, allowed all plug-ins in Safari Preferences and in the System preferences.  Is there anything I've missed because non of these solutions that I found in the Support Community have solved the issue.

    Delete that plugin.

  • Removing plug-ins?

I recently purchased a new plug-in for Motion (Conduit 2 from dvgarage) and found it to be pretty buggy right now. I'd like to remove it and re-install the original Conduit version 1. I still have the installer for version 1.
Is it simply a matter of removing Conduit from the plug-ins folder then running the installer for version 1 and checking for updates?

That is certainly the case for the FxPlug interface. It is conceivable, however, that Conduit has other files about that could affect you, but I don't know if they do.
So - don't like Conduit 2, eh? I bought Conduit 1 and found it to be useful and intriguing, but stopped using it because I wanted my projects to be playable in basic Motion. I was considering purchasing the new 2.0, but sounds like you don't recommend it...

  • Missing InDesign plug-ins after installing on new machine running WIN 7

After installing Adobe InDesign CS3 (version 5.0) on a new computer running Windows 7 Professional, InDesign cannot open a file I created 30 days ago on a machine running the same version of InDesign and Windows XP Professional.  I repeat, there have been no changes in InDesign versions !!
    The error message indicates a boat load of plug-ins are missing.  The first error message indicates WORLDREADY.RPLN and CONDITIONALTEXT.RPLN were missing.  After clicking OK, the second error message indicates these plug-ins are missing: ASSIGNMENTS.RPLN, TEXT.RPLN, SPREAD.RPLN, MASTERPAGE.RPLN, IMAGE.RPLN, TEXTATTRIBUTES.RPLN, GENERICPAGEITEM.RPLN, TEXTWRAP.RPLN, CJKTEXTATTRIBUTES.RPLN, SCRIPTING.RPLN, LINKS.RPLN, INCOPYSHARED.RPLN, XLM.RPLN, CJKGRID.RPLN, TOC.RPLN, INDEXING.RPLN, HPERLINKS.RPLN, PACKAGEANDPREFLIGHT.RPLN, WORKGROUP.RPLN, APPFRAMEWORK.RPLN, and DOCUMENTFRAMEWORK.RPLN.
From the Help menu within InDesign, I click Updates.  A series of updates for all my Adobe software were installed, bringing inDesign CS3 to version 5.0.4 yet
InDesign still refuses to open my previously created file.
The only other suggestion your help files suggest is upgrading my inDesign software to CS5 to which my company will not agree.
    HELP !!!!

The file properties are shown in the attached screen shot indicating InDesign CS3 was used not CS4 or CS5.  Does anyone have any other suggestions?

  • Still getting blocked plug ins after downloading latest flash player to macbook

Am still getting blocked plug ins on video content after downloading latest flash player (as requested to do) to macbook please help

Can you check to see if you have "enable plug-ins" checked in Safari's preferences dialog, under the security tab? If not, enable it and check.
It seems to be a browser specific issue. Try a different browser like chrome or firefox, check if it works there.

  • Missing plug-ins after downloading adobe flash player 11.2.202.235

    Hello again:
I sent a request the other day for help regarding my downloading Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.235 and losing the ability to play my games( they were bookmarked from the web) because of missing plug- ins.  I mentioned that I know very little about this computer.  I did get a reply saying that he needed more information about my computer which I sent and I have not heard anything back.  I probably did not send the message correctly therefore I am sending the info again and I hope I don't screw it up this time. My computer is as follows:
    iMac4,1 Version 10.6.8
    Intel core duo
    2GHz
    # of processors 1
    Total # of Cores 2
    L2 Cache 2MB
    Memory 1.5GB
    Bus Speed 667 MHZ DDR2SDRAM
    BootRom Version 1M41.0055.B08
    SMC Version(system) 1.1F5
I hope you can help me in the simplest way possible so I can understand your instructions.
    Thanks again,
    Margaret

It's confusing when a single poster starts two threads on the same topic and it divides the replies or has duplicate replies for those that are unware of the other thread.  You should post the above in the thread you originally started after my post which asked for some clearification on the problem.

  • Can't Remove Plug-ins

Just bought Logic E8. Recorded an audio track, inserted some plug-ins. Now I cannot remove them. The user's manual states, "To remove a plug-in: Click the desired Insert or Instrument slot, and choose No Plug-in from the menu."
I click on the insert slot...no menu appears.
    I right click...no menu.
    Any suggestions? Thanks!

I click on the insert slot...no menu appears.
Click and hold on the slot with the effect or instrument.

  • Re-install plug-ins after upgrade to CC

The chief thing holding me back from upgrading to CC is the prospect of installing all of my plug-ins, actions, brushes, etc. again.
When I upgraded from CS5 to CS6, this took days, and proved a major pain.  I'd like to upgrade to CC, but not if I have to spend days re-installing plug-ins, fonts, brushes, actions, etc.
Is there a way I can upgrade from CS6 to CC without overwriting all of my stuff?  In a dream world, I would download and install CC, and at first start-up, there would be all of my stuff exactly as I had it in CS6.  If I can't get this or something like it, it's probably not worth it to upgrade yet.
Thanks for your time and help!
    KB

KB the process has not changed.  If you use Third-party plug-ins and brushes the process will be the same as you have experienced previously.  I would recommend contacting the Third-party plug-in manufacturers to verify they are compatible with the CC versions of the Adobe Creative applications.
