Removing Plugins

Hi, I'm on a Single-Quad Core Mac Pro running Lion.  I just upgraded to Premiere Pro CC 7.1.  I ran the update for my FilmImpact transition plugins that relased for the CC 7.1.  When I ran the update I was supposed to remove the original plugins in the Extension Manager by clicking "Remove" first and then installing the update.  However, Extension Manager is new to me and I didn't realize this so I just installed over the old plugins.  Extension Manager detected the old plugins and asked me if I wanted to overwrite them with the new one.  I said yes.  This worked, as the updates installed and are functional.  However, now I have the "ghost" of the old plugins too, side by side with the new ones.  I've tried removing them via Extension Manager, but clicking "Remove" or "Enable" only removes the new, updated transition effects, not the old ones.  I can't figure out how to get rid of the old ones.  Any ideas??
Thanks

Do you mean yan can see two plugins in Premiere Pro CC 7.1?
To reproduce your problem, I have to get both the old and new  versions of your plugin. But I can only find the Transition Pack 1 demo and Pack 2 Demo v3.0.1. Is the latter the new one you are using?
Extension Manager has removed all the memories about the old one from itself. I think you have to figure out which fles of the old plugin are left in the machine and delete them manually.

  • How to remove plugin container in firefox 14.0.1?

Is there a way to remove plugin-container in firefox 14.0.1? Any extra process is unacceptable and I've always had plugin-container remove before. But from what I read it is needed to run the newest flash, so can gives us a option to automatically close the plugin-container after you have played a flash video, I hate to manually shut it down every time. OR embed the plugin container into firefox.exe so thats it isnt another process.

  • How do I remove plugin-container.exe safely and be sure it doesn't return?

plugin-container.exe keeps running in my Windows task manager slowing or sometimes freezing my computer. How do I eliminate this problem? I am running Firefox 4.0.1., which I will have to stay with for now as the update will not accept my Logitech product.

Thank you for the detailed information. I'm confused, however, as to which is the best way to go: leave the plugin-container.exe to keep me from crashing even though it slows ... sometimes freezes ... my computer (especially since I use Adobe Flash; or, disable/remove it and continue with Firefox crashes as I did before the plugin-container.exe was added to Firefox. Such a mind-boggling problem for one who is close to being computer illiterate.

  • Remove plugins Final Cut Pro X

I've installed several trial plugins for Final Cut Pro X that I'd like to remove now.  These include trial Effect/Transition plugins from companies such as Shefield Softworks, Nattress, SugarFx, PHYX, FxFactory Pro, etc.   I moved the plugins from the Movies/Motion Templates/Effects (Transitions) folder to my Trash, emptied the Trash then rebooted by MacBook Pro.  The plugins are gone when I check with Finder after restarting the computer.  However, after I start Final Cut Pro X, the plugins all reappear in both FCP as well as in Finder.  How do I remove these?
    Thanks

    you're probably using FxFactory
    from noiseindustry
in your Apps-Folder, launch the app …
you're now entitled to switch-off and -on individual plug-ins.
(there are some free ones avail, as 'Pan and Zoom', a very handy Ken-Burns-like effect)
under 'Actions' you'll find the deinstaller

In Motion 5 there is a plugin from CoreMelt called "SliceX" that does this.  But I don't know anything in Motion 4 that will do it.  You may get more help posting in the appropriate "Final Cut Studio" section of this forum.

  • How to remove plugins

How do i remove specific plugins installed in Safari? I looked up the plugin list and found that there is an old plugin that i dont need any more. can i remove it somehow?

Barry, That was helpful. I did a search in spotlight and found the plugin listed. For those who need it, the plugins for user are listed in /Users/xxx/Library/Internet Plug-ins/ directory. I dont know if that lists all the plugins that are in safari but thats a good place to look for.

  • How do I remove plugins

NB: I want to remove them, not deactivate them.
All I see is the option to deactivate them. Why is there no remove option?

Plugins are added by external software and not under control of Firefox and can only be disabled unlike extensions that are installed in Firefox.
You will have to go to the program that installed the plugin to remove it from Firefox.
You can find the installation path of all plugins on the <b>about:plugins</b> page.

  • How do I totally remove plugins and extensions

I can not remove extensions or plugins from 36.0.1 version. I do not have a "remove" button as is described in the page
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/di

You should be able to remove extensions unless they are not installed in the profile folder, but are installed globally.
Extensions that do not have a "Remove" button are installed by other software and are not under control of the Firefox extension manager.
Such globally installed extensions are usually found via a registry scan or are installed in a location that Firefox scans for installed extensions.
    *https://developer.mozilla.org/Adding_Extensions_using_the_Windows_Registry
Extensions installed this way need to be removed via the settings (options/preferences) of the program that has added this extension or this program has to be uninstalled via "Control Panel > Programs".
In Firefox you an only disable such an extension.
Plugins are always installed by other software and are not under control of Firefox.
You can only disable (Never Activate) plugins in Firefox in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins".

  • ICal wont open due to issue with Webex plugin how do i get it to open or remove plugin

Whenever I try to open iCal i get the message iCal quit unexpectedly while using the Webex Plugin plugin. don't know what to do next.

    Greetings,
I use WebEx all the time and have never heard of an iCal / WebEx plugin but it sounded intriguing so I did some google searches and looked at Cisco's website and could find no reference there either.  If you have any idea where this plugin came from I would be curious to know (it might be useful if it were working).
Try running the Mac Cisco-WebEx Uninstaller and see if that helps.
What version of the Mac OS are you running?
What version of iCal are you running?
Create a new user account on the Mac: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/8235.html
Login to that user and test iCal -- does it work in this new user?

    Hello All,
I am currently new to OEM 12c, and I have the latest version installed and running, Version     12.1.0.2.0. I can't seem to find any helpful info on the errors concerning EM-04001 and EM-04026. I did see that there was a bug fix which was required, bug number 13242773. But reading the ReadMe says this is only for OEM version 12.1.0.1.0.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello,
I haven’t run into the same errors you have reported but, let me share with you our recommended way of installing E-Business Suite Plug-in. Start by referencing our “Getting Start” MOS note 1434392.1it contains all the required patches, certification details, and related documentation. Once you are ready to perform the install start out by reviewing Chapter 2 - Installing the Oracle Application Management Pack for Oracle E-Business Suite of our Oracle Application Management Pack for Oracle E-Business Suite Guide Release 12.1.0.1.0. Here is a direct link -http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e28715.pdf

  • How do I make Firefox never use any plugins without my direct approval? (Take 2)

Since my old topic is "archived" and tells me to ask a new question, I'll do exactly that.
As I have asked here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/957837?esab=a&s=&r=0&as=s I need a way to control what my browser does and what it does not. Because I treat PC as my property, not some sentinent being that can do stuff on it's own and tell me what I can and cannot do with it - like, "you have no rights to delete this file" or "this is protected by XYZ".
Problem is, with Firefox keep getting plugins installed that I do not want, and I cannot remove them. It's not a matter of spyware or malware or adware, I'm not installing bogus programs or cracks, playing poker or watching porn. It's about legit plugins... that I still do not want!
For example, I do not want Nvidia 3D plugin. I don't care if it's safe or not, I just do not want Firefox to slow down even a millisecond for something I DO NOT WANT TO EVER USE. Not to mention, I don't have 3D nor will I ever have one. I also do not want Google Update, Microsoft Office or whatever else plugin. I need flash and flash alone and everything else should never ever appear in my browser.
I also do not want to constantly watch after Firefox to check if it has acquired some new plugins for me to disable. Because I'm not a servant of my PC, am I?
But the main problem is: I cannot REMOVE plugins! I just can't! I can seem to "Never activate" them but I can't remove. No option is there! Why? Why is there no option to remove a plugin? Why not at least tell me where does the plugin reside so I could wipe it?
When I asked this before, I was told that something is in the work to counter that for "later this year". So, is there an update? I guess not, because I googled and found nothing of sorts (and plugins keep popping in my firefox plugins panel).
At this point, I'm open to any kind of hack to deal with it. I'm a programmer myself so I can manage a simple background app or a custom firefox.exe launcher. Is there a place where it's explained where this list of plugins is stored, so I could just write a program that wipes everything I don't want from it every time I'm launching firefox? Can I do something to either prevent programs from installing new plugins, or intercept that and delete them? Anything?
    Thanks in advance!

hello Istrebitel, you cannot remove plugins from within firefox, because (contrary to extensions for example) they get installed on a system level. you can enter ''about:plugins'' into the address-bar in order to see where certain plugin files reside on your harddrive and delete them this way...
