Removing PS5 & ACR 6.1 rips out profiles from LR2 & LR3B2

Hello,
This is my first post here although I do read the forums from time to time. Unfortunately I have a rather serious problem.
I installed the ARC 6.1 final update over the Release Candidate (with some difficulty - I had to run the install twice) and then I did the Bridge upgrade.
However by the time it was all working again I found that my Photoshop Extended 5 demo had expired so I removed it (it would have been nice to have done a demo of the "final" product).
I fired up Lightroom 2.7 today and found that all of the non-beta profiles from Adobe had been removed when I removed Photoshop. I tried the LR 3 Beta 2 and found the same thing. The only profiles left are profiles that I installed myself and the beta profiles from Adobe.
Is there a way that I can re-install these profiles without having to re-install Lightroom too?
Thanks.

You can download and install DNG Converter to get all the 6.1 profiles back on your system:

  • Removing Photoshop Elements 9 caused missing lens profiles in Lightroom 3.3

After my trial on Photoshop Elements 9 expired I removed it from my Windows Vista system.  The next time I started Lightroom 3.3 I tried to apply a Canon lens profile to some new images and the profile was missing, not only was it not on the list, none of the 862 images taken with this lens had the profile applyed to them anymore.  I tried to repair the installation and it failed saying I was missing components.  I then tried to upgrade to RC 3.4 & it failed with the same message.  I finally thought it might have been caused by the removal of Photoshop Elements so I went to the restore point that it did prior to removal.  Now I have the lens profile back that was missing the Canon EF28-135mm profile as well as to the other 862 images.  My question is should there be anything else I should look for to see if it is missing or damaged?  Thanks - Larry

    Larry,
The common part between LR and PSE is the Camera Raw part (ACR). It's settings are contained in 2 different locations:
    1) General ACR configuration files:
    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw
This directory contains lens and camera profiles installed with LR
    2) User related configuration files:
    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw
    This directory usually contains:
    Downloaded/created lens profiles
ACR defaults (like ACR cache size, any defaults set in LR)
    Downloaded/created camera profiles
You might want to check the content of those 2 locations. One other alternative would be to uninstall and re-install LR, which should take care of the factory supplied profiles.

  • Does ACR 7 delete D800 profiles from ACR 6.7?

I have a Macbook Pro and a Mac Pro, both of which are running, OS X 10.7.3, Photoshop CS5, and ACR 6.7rc1. On the Macbook Pro, the folders for D800 and D800E profiles are present, and the canned profiles for those cameras appear in the Camera Profiles menu of ACR 6.7. But these folders and profiles are missing on the Mac Pro. I can load D800 raw files into PS CS5 on that machine, but ACR 6.7 only shows "Matrix" in the Camera Profiles menu.
Maybe the installation of ACR 6.7rc1 went awry on the Mac Pro. There's another possibility. I installed the beta versions of Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS6 on the Mac Pro. They are running side by side with CS5 and appear to function OK. CS6 comes with ACR 7. Perhaps there is a conflict between ACR 6.7 and ACR 7.
I know that ACR 7 does not yet support D800(E). Is it possible that the CS6 installer removed the D800(E) profiles that had been installed by ACR 6.7?
Can ACR 6.7 and ACR 7 run on the same machine?
Is it safe for me to copy those missing profiles from Macbook Pro to the Mac Pro?

I sent the JPG to a service for a print on canvas. They reported that the image was not the proper size and shape when they opened it in Photoshop. Unfortunately I have not been able to get them to tell me what pixel size it was, just rough inches (!?!?!). So I started trying things in Photoshop and came up with this strange behavior that might explain the problem at the service.

  • Remove color profile from an image

How to remove color profile from an image is it possible through any script?
Manual Try - Don't Color Manage this Document: option is used to instruct Photoshop to remove an existing embedded profile but when I save the file, close and open it I still see a color profile in the embedded image.

On the mac you could have sips do this (it may depend on the file type). You would loose the files creator if Photoshop was its last editor though.

  • How to remove all in and out points from extendscript code?

    Hi,
I am creating a sequence from a clip from extendscript code to automateToSequence function.
But if there are some in and out points in the clip only the select clip part is converted as a sequence, what is the solution to remove all those in and out points from extendscript code, or to get the full clip to sequence even there are some in and out points.
    I am using the function like this; qe.project.getItemAt(i).automateToSequence(seq,0,0,1,1);
    Please suggest,
    Thanks and Regards,
    Anoop NR

Double click the pre-comp or nested comp, open comp settings from the menu or by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl/Cmnd + k.
Note, changing the length of the comp will not extent the length of footage or layers inside the comp. You have to do that manually and it depends on your footage type.

  • Remove EDM Profile from Interval Meter of an installation-Device Management

My dear friends, I need sincere help from you .
I have an installation with an interval device installed to it.
We need to do full removal of this installed device by eg32.
The interval meter is having EDM Profile attached to it. Before doing full removal of the device from the installation using EG32,
we need to de-allocate the EDM Profile attached to this interval meter. Manually this is done by using transaction code - EEDM04
but we need to do deallocation of profile using ABAP code.
We need your help in this regard. Could you suggest ISU function modules that could be used to do the deallocation of the EDM profile from the interval Device/Meter.
Your help is really needed and appreciated!
    Thanks,

I think function module ISU_S_PROFASS_CHANGE might be useful.
Isnt't it an option to prorate the profile allocation on device removal?
You can set system parameter PRORATEPRO for this in customizing of device management:
PRORATEPRO (Limit Prof. Alloc. for Rem./Repl./Mod./Chnge to Logical
    Reg.)
During device installation/replacement/removal or when changing the
logical register number, you can use this parameter to control
whether the allocations of the profile to the register are limited.

  • Aggregated phase in phase out profile

I am facing one issue while running forecasting for phase in phase out profile at aggregated or base pack level.
I have a scenario in which consider base pack level is "A" and under this bas pack are product codes "B", "C" & "D"
I have assigned phase out profile for product "D" as it is being phase out after certain months and I am executing forecast at pack size level which is "A." After running the forecast I get message from system that "maximum number of periods has been processed which is 52 and phase in phase out profile can not be executed".
However if I execute the forecasting at product level it carries out the forecast. and runs the phase out profile.
In the settings for life cycle planning transaction in basic settings I have checked aggregated phase in phase out profile for life cycle planning
Please inform how this can be resolved.

    Hi Jignesh,
Did you check the spool list after batch job run, to see if  Phase in/out is appled to the material for which life cycle is assingned. Also I would advice to go and double check all setting is dates are defined correctly etc.
I would presume you might have done all these, if you still have the issue check notes 1222953 and 1223746 and apply. This should resolve your issue.

  • Tracing Phase out Profile

    Hi All,
    Just a quick question...
is it possible to trace phase out profile i.e (transaction MSDP_FCST1)
I just wanted to know who has created the phase in/out profile?
    Thanks and best Regards
    Kusum.

I would suggest moving towards ODI. DIM is basically the Informatica ETL tool and should have similar features / complexity as ODI.
I have personally used EPM Architect and it mostly works -- the mostly is the gotcha. When something goes awry it can be difficult to troubleshoot and may also result in loss of data. The more complex your application the more likely you run into issues. If I recall maximum formula size for EPMA is 2048 bytes -- planning supports 8192 bytes natively; there is an open defect/enhancement to resolve this.
If you do go down the route of EPM Architect ensure you are patched to the latest patch levels which can be obtained through Metalink3.oracle.com using your support ID.
    Good Luck,

  • Abt  Like, Phase-In and Phase-Out profiles

    Hi,
        Can some1 explain me what is<b> Like, Phase-In and Phase-Out profiles</b>?
    What is it's good for?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Siva.

    Hi Sivaprakash.
Like modelling (including phase in/phase out) is primarily used for introduction of new products and is normally called Lifecycle Planning:
    Example:
Suppose you are introducing SKU2 to replace SKU1.
You want to forecast demand for SKU2 but there is no history for this new product.
You could use a Like profile to use the history of SKU1 to forecast demand for SKU2.
You could use a phase-in profile to model the build of demand of SKU2 from zero up the forecast demand (it is very unlikely that demand will go from 0 to 100% of forecast from day one)
Similarly, you could use a phase out profile for SKU1 to model the fall of demand from 100% forecast to zero.
All together, the transition of demand from one product (SKU1) to a replacement product (SKU2) can be fully modelled using these profiles.
This is all quite well documented in <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm50/helpdata/en/8f/9d6937089c2556e10000009b38f889/frameset.htm">help.sap.com - lifecycle planning</a>
    Hope this helps.

What happens if you remove a profile from iPad? Can you get it back?

    Hi Gumby694,
You can only get the profile back if you plug into a computer that has the configuration profile in Apple Configurator or get the profile wirelessly from an MDM.
    Hope this answers your question.

How do I remove extra profiles from color mangement in Print Module?

If you're talking about the "short list" then click on other and then uncheck the ones that you don't want displayed. If you're talking about the long list, then you will have to browse to the folder containing the profiles and then delete them manually.

  • Remove device and profile from call manager

Is there any documentation on how to remove phones and EM, RDP, CSF profiles from call manager in order to free up some licensing??

EM does not take any licenses, but the way you want to do this (assuming all associations are correct and dependencies would prevent you from doing it anyway):
    delete UDP
    delete CSF device
    delete RDP
    delete desk phone
