Removing the CC and Info buttons

Hello. I would like to remove the CC and Info buttons on the
navigation bar when I publish a Captivate project in Flash. I
haven't figured out how to do this by perusing the Help. Any tips?
I have Adobe Captivate 2.

Hi Rach
As Paul and Mark and others have advised, Closed Captioning
isn't available in version 1. Only version 2.
However, you might be interested in a workaround that fellow
Community Expert CatBandit uses. Essentially, he places a Rollover
Caption object on the same location for each slide. Then you could
insert an image that indicates Closed Captioning. You then edit the
Rollover Caption to include your "Closed Captioning" and instruct
the user to simply place the mouse pointer over the Closed
Captioning image. The net result is that as each slide plays, the
rollover caption automatically appears because the user has the
mouse in the expected position.

Removing the "next" and "previous" buttons in the slideshow

Hi all,
I added an html snippet so once you click on my link, it bypasses the album mode and goes straight to the single pict mode. I like it because for me, it seemed like an extra step. So, now that I don't want to use album mode- i want to remove the "back to album" and the "previous and next" buttons (to clean stuff up). Anybody know how to do that?

in the Demos folder, then look in the Gallery folder. Gallery.js, i
think, is where that JS call goes to in order to switch out the

Is there anyway that I could use to remove the MINIMIZE and MAXIMIZE buttons up the top right coner of a window ?

You can disable them (removed on some early windows versions), if you make your window non-resizable.
Otherwise you would have to override the Window or JWindow class to make your own frame-like window.

Guide and Info buttons on remote not longer working?

The Guide and Info buttons on my remote do not seem to be working any longer, like they've been remapped. Could anything have changed with my FIOS box via download?

Sounds like you may have an error in your code causing something to fail?
Without more info, it's pretty much impossible to help, other than giving generalities.
Run your page through the validator at http://validator.w3.org to clean up any html errors. If the problem persists, post a link to your page in the forum so we can take a look at what's going on, as Ben suggests.
Another thing to look for is multiple calls to jQuery libraries, especially different versions of jQuery libraries. That will cause your scripts to fail more often than not. Usually, you can keep the newest version's link and delete the older one and everything will come back, but sometimes scripts will conflict due to issues like using the same variables or function names and there's no good way to fix it, short of rewriting one of them.

I have managed to figure out how to solve this problem, after looking around I saw a lot of people kept saying makesure it is list view however this still did not work, I found the only way for me get these buttons back was to change the Movie to a TV Show and only then did the "Next" and "Previous" button appear. Right Click> Get Info > Options > Media Kind and then Select TV Show, this is extremely inconvienent but the only way that I found that has worked so far.

Need to remove the header and footer regions on one page

Hi,
I have a requirement to remove the header and footer regions on one page only. The regions I'm referring to contain the following:
Header:
Company logo, Home link, Logout link, Preferences link
Footer:
Copyright info, Privacy Statement, Home link, Logout link, Preferences link
These are the standard Oracle header and footer regions/page items, so I am not specifying a particular page name, although it would be the create time cards page we want to modify.
Also, we only want to remove these regions/items from ONE page, not an entire responsibility.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Use this code in the processrequest of the controller on the page on which you want tohide these

And for hiding the Copyright info, Privacy Statement:
Click on Personalise page link
then Click on Choose Context
Choose "OAFooter" as Scope
and click "Apply"
and then Personalise the Copyright and Privay Statememnt icon and set rendered as False.

MSI GX620 the turbo and eco buttons don't work

The eco and turbo buttons don't want to work anymore.When this problem appeared,I have had an other.When I push the button of camera, wireless or bluetuth,it dosen't appear a sign in the right corner of the monitor...I have windows Vista.What should I do?Should I reinstall the system?

My ipad has suddenly decided not to connect to the internet. My WiFi signal is strong. My PC is connected ok through the same WiFi signal. I have tried pressing the home and off buttons to get the apple logo but this makes no difference

I have just realised what has caused the problem.
Yesterday I fitted an additional Homeplug with built in wireless N adapter ( I alreday have another type fitted from my main router position) The wireless system to my ipad is obviously "confused" . Having now removed the second homeplug and reset my ipad all is now ok

Small electric shocks, laptop refused to start until I remove the battery and put it back in.

I own a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series i7537T-5005sLV.
A short while ago I tried to power on my laptop but it didn't come on. I thought that the battery drained and I didn't notice however when I plugged in the power cord no lights came on. I decided to open up the laptop and remove the battery and put back the battery and try to power on the laptop. It came on after doing that and I saw lights again.
I also notice that after reseating the battery, the latency between pressing the power button and the laptop actually coming on is shorter. It is almost instantaneous.Before there was about a 1.5 seconds delay. (THIS COULD BE MY IMAGINATION THOUGH)
I also noticed that I got little "pinches" or small shocks when my skin comes in contact with the edge of the laptop, especially at the end of the palm rest area. The shocking sensation could be cause the hair on my hands as my skin brush along the edges of the laptop as I type. I say this because I've never experienced a shock touching anywhere else on the laptop and I never felt a shock while using the tips of my fingers to touch the edges.
One last thing I feel I should mention. Around the SD card slot area there is a small dent protruding outwards; barely noticeable. It was a brand new laptop and the seal on the box wasn't broken or tampered with so I am assuming that this was a manufacture's defect. One I was willing to overlook since the dent wasn't that bad and added some character to the laptop. However I am beginning to worry that the unit might be damaged and that is why I had the power issue.
The laptop is about two weeks old. I had to replace the first one because the display had horizontal waves running from top to bottom. Even in the BIOS. They were especially visible against gray backgrounds.
I don't want to have to return another one and I like the laptop but if it is unsafe to use then I'd rather send it back and keep my life.

The back and forward button stay disabled after upgrading to Firefox 4

I upgraded to Firefox 4 and the back and forward buttons are never enabled. I see them, but they are not working.
History works, recently closed pages work, bookmarks work.
I disabled all addons, uninstalled FF4, deleted \Program Files\Firefox, re-installed, kept extensions disabled, removed all backups from bookmarkbackups, deleted places.sqlite and still nothing.
What else can I do?

How to hide the Print and Export button in analytics report or tasks pane ?
For example:
In console,I have created one userA which is belong to BIConsumer GROUP , when I make use of the highest user 'weblogic' to create one simple report, then the userA will login the analytivs to view this report (not dashboard), it will show the print and export as below.So customers do not want to give him the privilege for printing and exporting.
In addtion, go to catalog->tasks(left corner), it will also show the print and export button. So how to hide or not access these button?
Note: Maybe it can use the policy for consumer role for implementing this requirement, but I do not know how to modify the policy. Are you facing the problem? Thanks.

1. Create seperate folder for Reports & Dashobard.
2. For BI_Consumer (userA) set the catalog permission to view Dashboard Folder only and remove permission on the Report Folder (you can give traverse permission but don't give Open permision).
3. By this user won't be able to open or run any reports in that folder and the only way he can see the reports is through Dashboard and on dashboard the export and print buttone can be removed very easily.

Is there a way to customize the prev and next buttons separately in slideshows in muse? When I import a background image that looks like a right arrow it puts the image for both prev and next buttons. I import it by selecting the next button, and then clicking on the folder icon labelled "Image" in the Fill drop-down menu in the Tool bar at the top of the Muse page.

Yes, it should be very easy. Here is how I do this:
First, I move the arrows onto the image, and double click the box so that I can remove the arrow character.
Then, I go up to the "Image Fill" and click the file icon to fill with an image
Then, I select the other arrow, and do the same
