Removing Unwanted Apps??!!

I can no longer remove unwanted apps from my iPhone 4.  I no longer get the 'x' in the corner when after holding the app, and in iTunes the 'remove' option is greyed out.  I've tried reinstalling the apps but that didn't help.
Any help appreciated please?

    Hello Orionquest70
    Check out the troubleshooting article below for issues with access to the iTunes Store. Also there was a small amount of outage accessing the iTunes Store this past Wednesday.

    How do I remove unwanted apps from my iphone 4s?

    It could be that Restrictions are set on the iPhone to prevent deleting apps:
    Open the Settings App
    General
    Restrictions (the button will indicate if it is on, and you will be prompted to type the security code)
    Either disable Restrictions or Turn Deleting app back on

  • How do I remove unwanted apps in the general settings of a iphone ?

    How do I remove unwanted apps in the general settings of a iphone ?
    I am not talking about apps that you touch and hold and can delete, but in the general setting area.
    I never will use Nike, Twitter or any of the other apps that apple put in this phone.
    I want them out of the general settings, so why cant I get them out. I own the phone not apple.

    Many devices have extra information that you cannot remove. On other phones carriers can install a great deal of other information that is called bloatware. At least that cannot be done on the iPhone, but it does have its share of things that people want to remove. Again, the feedback link is where you need to address your thoughts. This is a user to user forum. We are all users just like you.

  • How does one completely remove unwanted Apps? It seems that prior to IOS 5.0 I could do that and now cann't.

    I am totally new to APPLE products and have for years avoided getting anything APPLE due to interface issues with other operations systems.  I have unwanted apps and want to completely remove them from my IPhone 3GS with IOS 5.0... I seems that in the past (prior to the IOS 5.0 upgrade) I was able to do this, and now I can't.
    Another issue; attempted to download the manual for the IOS 5.0 upgrade, system states that it has downloaded however it's nowhere to be found, hmmmm?

    First of all where do you want to delete your apps from, your iPhone or iTunes? If you delete your games from iTunes and keep them on your phone, when you connect your iDevice it'll sync, if you delete it from your iPhone and leave it on your iTunes, it'll still sync. So if you want to delete all apps, 1 Delete all apps on your iPhone and 2 delete all apps on iTunes as well. Also when you download apps on your iPhone or computer, iCloud automatically puts them on your devices. About the second issue, to be honest I don't know

  • Can I remove unwanted apps from LMS 3.2

    is that possible to remove DFM and IPM from LMS 3.2 I have never used and LMS appears to be slow and i am thinking  trimming some unwanted apps may help. thanks.

    9 out of 10 times I have found marginally performing LMS servers to be suffering from under-provisioned memory. That is especially true on older Windows-based servers that didn't support server 64-bit OS along with the greater addressable memory ( > 4GB) they enable.

  • Removing unwanted apps which I have downloaded.

    Still need help with this problem of trying to remove unawanted apps that I have downloaded.
    None of the apps which I have download on my iphone show a white x in the top left hand corner of the icon when I hold them down til they wiggle.  I have reset my phone several times with no success.  Have made changes on itunes using my laptop however when I attempt to sync my phone the changes are not applied so the unwanted apps remain.
    Please can someone help?

    Jailbreaking is the process by which Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS, is modified to run unsigned code in order to gain access to files that Apple wouldn’t normally let you access.
    Someone has to actually hook it up to a computer to do this process, or did you buy your phone from an individual seller that might have hacked the phone prior to you owning it?
    If you have an app called Cydia, it is likely jailbroken.

  • TS1702 How do you remove unwanted apps from your newsstand?

    How do you remove unwanted magazines from your newsstand?

    I have the ipod touch 5th generation. I tried to remove the magazine from the newsstand by pressing and holding the magazine until it wiggled but no delete option appeared (that small little "x" in the upper corner). After some rather frustrating searches that revealed nothing I plugged my ipod into my computer via USB and opened itunes. From there i clicked on the ipod button at the top right under the search option which opened the ipod contents. Click on Apps and you can remove magazines from here. Hope this helps!

  • Why can't i remove unwanted apps from my launchpad?

    I updated from Snow Leopard to Lion and i have never been happy with Launchpad.
    I can´t remove any apps i don´t want to have in there exept the ones i have from appstore (when i hold down and all the apps start to shake they have the x to remove) is that supposed to be like that?
    When i clean up in the launch by merging the icons in folders the pages don´t merge when the space is enough for it.
    Is Launchpad supposed to be like this? or is it bugged?

    the basic apps that came with the pad - music, mail, etc cannot be deleted, they are part of the operating system.  Everything else, you can, unless restrictions have been turned on.  You need to know how to do that so that you can manage your space.  What are you trying to delete, and what happens when you try?

  • How do I remove unwanted apps from my Iphone 5C?

    I have gone to Settings - General- Usage and have updated the apps I wish to show on the screen, powered down and powered back up, yet the icons are still showing on the screen. What can I do to make the icons go away?

    What apps are you trying to remove? The area you describe in settings does not remove apps from the phone. You cannot remove apps that are native to iOS, such as Weather, Stocks, etc. Apps that you have downloaded from the App Store can be removed by holding down on the icon until it starts to wiggle. That will display a small "x" in the corner of the icon. Tap on that and it will remove the app from the phone.

  • HT204266 How do I permenantly delete & remove unwanted apps from my ipad

    I have a great number of apps downloaded and now I get the message that the Ipad cqannot sync because there is not enough space left to Sync. I have deleted a number of apps but they still remain listed as waiting to install. How can I permenantly remove them to create extra space.
    Also if someone knows how to delete Photos from Photos and Albums.

    iPad 2 do not have IOS 6.1.4.
    1. Once you have deleted the apps directly from iPad, it's no longer on your iPad.
    You cannot delete those apps on Apple iCloud. It's for your convenient to re-download them for free.
    2. You need to connect to computer iTunes to delete photos from Photo Library, by de-selecting photos and do a sync.

  • I need help: I want to remove unwanted apps from ITUNES store. I have had assistance - APPLE staff leave me to finish the job and it does not work...HELP.

    Can someone help me with this....please.

    You can't permanently delete any items from your purchase history, all you can do is hide them so that they don't show in the Purchased tab for re-downloading : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919

  • Unwanted apps in purchase history

    How can I remove unwanted apps from my ipad purchase history. I have loads of apps i've tried and rejected but they still show up in purchase history.

    Regardless, this does not work.
    I'll repeat that: this (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919) does not work.
    I work with a number of app developers and have downloaded dozens of apps in the last couple of years. Now, in iOS7, there is no way to hide previous purchases. Let me walk you through how it doesn't work:
    I log into iTunes;
    I go to the store and click on Account;
    Under iTunes in the Cloud I click on the small Manage link next to Hidden Purchases;
    I click on Apps and lo and behold! All of my hidden apps by the dozen. So many hidden apps;
    I connect and resync my iPhone, just to be sure;
    Boom! All of my purchase history... is still entirely visible and not hidden at all.
    I don't understand why this is even a thing if it doesn't do what it's supposed to. "Hide your apps? Sure! Oh wait, you meant, hide them like... so they can't be seen? Well I don't know what kind of crazy definition of "hide" you subscribe to, sir, but that's not how it works here at Apple."
