Removing Unwanted emails

I have a 5800 and it synced my mail to the phone memory not the memory card. I've swithed it to the card now but, I want to get rid of the second copy that is taking up space on my phone memory.
I can't just sync as it will just replace them with the new (probabloy more) messages from the sever and deleting them loacaly just markes them for deletion. (I also need them on the server)

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

All of this should be on your computer as you should be syncing regularly to your computer.. Just sync it back.

Hi all, just joined, Can anyone help please to remove unwanted email addresses, I have tried free download of ibackupbot, it finds contacts but not email addresses, and I do not wish to buy it when apple should have this built in to the iphone.

If you are referring to the autofill feature when addressing an email, the iOS Mail app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients. The email address autofill feature when addressing an email pulls from your Contacts and from the list of previous recipients.
Different from the Mail app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients with the iOS Mail app to add a previous recipient to Contacts that is not already entered, or to remove a previous recipient from the list - not at the present time anyway.

Go to settings -> mail contacts and calendars -> tap on the desired account and choose delete at the bottom of the page. This will delete the email accunt from the device.

Open Mail>Window>Previous Recipients> click on the unwanted email addresses, and use "Remove From List."

I have the same problem. All of the sudden I receive tons of unsolicited ***** invitations. You can do two things:
Forward emails to: [email protected]
Put them in the Junk folder. Apple is supposed to check that and do something about it.
I downloaded a little app called SpamDrain. They give you few weeks of free service but after that they will charge you for removing your unwanted stuff.
Anyway this problem started about three weeks ago and I receive about ten unwanted ***** mails every day. It's a real pain. Hopefully between apple and the little app I will get rid of it.

Manage to solve it by deleting service books
On my Torch:
Option > Device > Advanced System Settings > Service Book > Delete all the service book that is associated with the unwanted email account (E.g. [email protected] [SYNC], [email protected] [CICAL], etc etc

How do you remove multiple email messages at one time

I have a iphone 4 and today it started piling up over 4000 undeliverable messages for no apparent reason. I somehow managed to stop the process but I am left with over 4000 messages that I need to delete. How do you remove multiple email messages at one time. Just figured it out - I can select multiple messages as you suggested when I am not in full screen mode.
So once I come out of full screen mode - then the multiple windows open.

How do I remove unwanted updates from the App Store? So you understand better what I'm referring to:
I have the App Store icon in the Dock. When there's an update a red number appears on said icon. Well, I went to check on the updates and it's for 4 different applications I either no longer have or use. One of them is an update for Lion OS users. I'm still on Snow Leopard, so it doesn't even apply to me.
So there they sit... I'm not going to download the updates... so how do I get rid of them?

If there are updates available for apps you have deleted, try this.
Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore
Move the Cache.db and Updates files from the com.apple.appstore folder to the Trash.
Empty the Trash, restart your Mac.
For any apps you still have installed but do not use, the updates will still be available from the Updates top of the App Store window and show on the red badge on the App Store icon in the Dock.

If you haven't already removed the email address from your contacts in cloud, you may want to start there. If that doesn't work, then you may be out of luck. Unfortunately, smartphones remember things we don't want them to :-(

If that email address is your Apple ID, I don't believe you can delete it.
If you have your cell phone number selected as your Caller ID, when sending an iMessage it will be sent from your phone number.
Since your Apple ID email address is registered as well, if someone has your email address in their contacts, they can select your email address to send you an iMessage in addition to your phone number.
When this recipient says you are sometimes sending an iMessage via email, it is received as an email with the Mail app on their iPhone, not with the Messages app?

It sounds like you are trying to change the Apple ID logged into the iTunes & App Stores on your iPhone. Use these steps:
Changing your Apple ID account
Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores, then tap the Apple ID signed in.
Sign out of the current Apple ID account and then sign in with another account or create a new Apple ID.
