Remtool -addnode (AS 10.1.2.0.2)

Question

Setup:
2 node RAC (10.2.0.3 db) cluster with Oracle AS 10.1.2.0.2 installed in cluster configuration at 2 locations.
I created an DRG (ASR multi-master) using instructions from Metalink Note: 300436.1 (Setting up OID replication in 10.1.2).
1) Now I want to add a 3rd location to the DRG, but the instructions aren't super clear. Do I need to backup the metadata for the 3rd location (2nd RMS) into the the MDS?
Here are the steps I used to create the DRG:
remtool -backupmetadata -replica "rms:389/<pswd>" -master "mds:389/<pswd>"
remtool -asrsetup
Then I did an ldifwrite from the MDS and bulk-loaded into the RMS
Then started replication process on MDS and RMS
2) Is it a similar process for adding another RMS to the DRG?
As reference, I am looking at OID User Reference (10.1.2)

Is this an accurate depiction of what needs to completed? Is there an alternative method to add a 3rd directory?

The process for adding for a new node:
If you have installed new node as a "Replica", you do not have to run "remtool -backupmetadata'. If you had installed new node as a "Master", you have to run "remtool -backupmetadata".
After installing new node as Replica, you need to follow the instructions given in Section "25.1.3 Adding a Node for Multimaster Replication (Oracle Database Advanced Replication Types Only)" of chapter #25 "Oracle Internet Directory Replication Administration" in Oracle Internet Directory Administrator's guide.
