Rename a song on my iPad Air

How can I rename a song on my iPad Air? It just says Track #.

You can't do it directly on your iPad. If you have the song in your computer's iTunes library then you can rename it on there, delete the version from your iPad, and resync the renamed version back to your iPad

  • No Synching Between iphone and ipad Air

I downloaded a song from the iTunes store to my iPhone 5s. I can't get it to appear on my iPad Air. I have ITunes Match, but I can't turn it on in settings on either phone or ipad because it says I don't yet have a subscription. Who do I talk to, and where can i go to get this resolved short of buying the same song for my iPad Air, thereby paying twice? Or is that what I need to do, pay twice — once for each device?
    Needing assistance,

iTunes Match is for non-iTunes content. For iTunes content if you are logged in to the iTunes Store on both devices with the same Apple ID you can have the same music on both devices. In addition, if you go to Settings/iTunes&App Stores and turn on automatic download any time you buy a song on one device it will automatically be downloaded to the other device.
Alternatively, you can manually get the song by going to iTunes Store on your iPad, tapping More > Purchased > Music > Not on this phone. Again, assuming you are logged in to the same Apple ID on both devices.

  • Why does it only one time to sync my IPhone 5, yet to put the same playlist on my IPad Air I have to sync multiple occasions and reboot?

Lately purchasing songs on ITunes has been difficult getting them on my IPad Air.  I can sync the exact same playlist to my IPhone 5, no problem.  Try putting the same playlist and songs on my IPad Air, forget about it!  This problem seems recent and I wonder if it is a software problem.  The computer is an Mac, so it's not a PC issue.  During the sync process, step 5 "Waiting for changes to be applied", takes the longest amount of time.
    Any thoughts?
    Dave

  • How can I delete music from my iPad Air other than by one song at a time? I am still on iOS 7.

How can I delete music from my iPad Air other than one song at a time? I would like to delete a few albums.  I am still on iOS 7.

You can either sync the iPhone and iPad to a computer that has your music on it and make sure the U2 album is not on the computer. Or you can delete all of the music from both devices (settings > general > usage > manage storage > music. Then redownload your music from your purchase history on the iTunes store
Also the U2 album is attached to your apple id. To remove it, you will need to go here ---> https://itunes.com/soi-remove

  • Cannot Sync All Songs In My iTunes Library to My iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2

I have over 10,000 songs in my iTunes library--about 7,000 are songs I ripped from CDs and about 3000 are songs purchased through the iTunes store.  I am able to sync all the songs to my iPod Classic without any problem.  However, only about 7,000 songs are synced to my iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2--a mix of all the songs purchased and some of the songs ripped.  How can I get my complete library synced to the iPhone and iPad, both of which are 128 GB and have plenty of room for the songs.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

No I don't have another computer. I was thinking initially I would put them on my ipad but since I don't have enough gb maybe I can store them in some cloud thing? Sorry am a bit of a Luddite when it comes to all this. I just need to have them stored someplace and accessible to play when I need to. Thanks for your help.

  • How can you copy and transfer tracks between songs in Garageband for iPad air 2?s

I have just started with GarageBand for iPad air 2 and want to know more about copying tracks between songs and also saving and using samples between songs too. Anybody have any good links or advice? Thanks

This has nothing to do with Classic, the operating system on Macs from 2001 and earlier.  Please post in the forums most likely to have an answer if you want a quick one:

  • Can't export iMovie to camera roll on iPad Air

I can not export an iMovie to my camera roll. When I select 'save video' the box that says 'exporting video' appears but never loads
I'm using my iPad Air version 7.1.2, iMovie 2.0. I have 41GB of free space.
The 14 min movie includes video (shot on a Canon camera), photos (taken on a Canon camera) and songs (purchased on iTunes).
I've read that you need to tick iMovie in settings/privacy/photos - however iMovie does not appear as an option
iMovie is ticked in settings/privacy/location services
I have successfully exported the movie to iTunes and have saved this iMovieMobile file to my PC - this file is 3GB or so in size
The movie plays perfectly in iMovie however I want to export it to play on a PC, TV etc. Please help!
Any tips will be greatly appreciated!

  • HT204074 How do you delete a song off your ipad that is not listed on the itunes song list?

Some songs came already loaded with my new ipad air that I hate and want to delete but can't locate the directory where they reside.  I downloaded a file manager app but it only had the option to add new folders, not access the one's already on the ipad.  I signed up for icloud and even bought itunes match at the direction of a blog someone wrote as a way to access the icloud song list and delete the songs.  I deleted the album purchase (that I never made in the first place) listed in the purchase section of iTunes.  The songs are not listed on my PC version of itunes so I can't delete them from there (right click and choose delete).  They are only on the ipad itself.  Why is it so difficult to simply remove a file from your ipad?  Is there a way to delete these songs or am I stuck with them on my ipad music list?  I reset the entire setup thinking it would erase everything on my ipad but that didn't work either.  Please advise.  Thanks.

Does it play on the iPad?
What happens when you swipe it left and fight? You should get a Delete or Remove button. If Remove then there will be a cloud icon by the song after you remove the sound file from the iPod.
If it is U2 album then:
    Remove U2 Album

You can only add songs to your iOS device from iTunes via Wi-Fi sync or via your cable, not Bluetooth.

but i tried paring my LG bluetooth so i can listen to music on my computer wirelessly buy it gives me the same error message
That's an entirely different issue, unrelated to your iOS devices.
