Rename "About results: NN"

Hey guys!
I've run into an issue with native sharepoint translation.
We have a search results web part with results counter enabled. In English refiner should show "Results: 7" or " About results: 200". In our language it is translated using Bing (i guess) in something quite incorrect.
Are there any possibilities to manage this translation as those incorrect phrase delivers a bad user experience to our customers.

Doubts about result table in endeca 3.1

Hi All,
I created the result table in Endeca 2.4 by using the checkbox for Use EQL query and entered the query but I cannot see the option of entering the eql in endeca 3.1.Has something changed or I have missed something?
and In order to enable drill down in endeca 2.4 I added an action column to pick the event ID available on a particular row. Clicked on Add Action Column button under Configuration tab and added teh action but cannot see samething in endeca 3.1.
Can some one please let me know how can above things be achieved in endeca 3.1

In 3.1 for Results Table, you do not enter EQL. Instead, you set the table type to Analytics table, then add the metrics and dimensions. For simple metrics, you just add the attribute and select the aggregation method. For more complex metrics, you would need to add the metric as a predefined metric in the view. You could then add that metric to the table.

Renaming columns resulting in breakage of already existing reports

Hi
We recently upgraded from 10g to 11g and we faced the following issue related to trailing spaces:
In 10g we had trailing spaces for few columns which accounts for say around 300 in number. After consistency check, these trailing spaces were shown as warnings in 10g and did not error out any reports. But in 11g, these trailing spaces were shown as errors and resulting in the breakage of already existing reports. To avoid this, we have to delete the trailing spaces along with the aliases. After this, the only process we are aware of, is to re-pull the renamed columns in the existing reports to make them error free. Now we have around 200 reports using these columns and it requires good amount of manual effort to go in. I would like to know, is there any better solution other than re-pulling these columns to keep the reports error free.
Any suggestions on this will be very helpful and greatly appreciated.

About results recording in QM

Can anyone tell me about the flow of results recording in T-CODE:QE51,I want to know the flow in detail and related tables in the process.Thanks in advance!

You can record in QE51 (QE51N) the results you get during quality inspection.
According the selection screen the system will show you a list with the inspection lots.
Choose one inspection lot and do the result recording for the operations. Or for the lower level: per sample.
Depending on the characteristic you choose a value with F4 help or key in a value (eg. length, diameter). After key in the necessary data, you CLOSE the operation (see the pushbutton ICON_LOCKED). Go to the next operation/sample.
Once you are leaving the QE51 you can go to make the Usage Decision via QA11 for the inspections lots you did the result recording before.

Trying to rename files results in "stack overflow"

I'm trying to make a script to change the names of many files at once. In particular, I have many .tif files that I want to use as frames in an animation. The files are named "frame0001.tif", "frame0002.tif", etc. The problem is that I have seperate folders of frames, and the "0001" etc. count restarts in each folder. I have written the following script to try to add a set number to the count of the files in a particular directory. However, the script results in a stack overflow error. About Result Set

hi folks,
am using jsp to display the records from the db via jdbc credentials. ok. i had doubt regarding result set in java..
In my jsp page i show the records "form" entry format. while loading the page. i used while(rs.next() operation) to get the records from the db. and i fill into the form fields..
say as eg : employee id: 900
employee name : zzz
ok. what is my problem.? while am loading the page it fill all of the records and it showing the last record.
if suppose while am pressing next button in jsp page. what happen means.. it fill some null value.
when gave a look to that operation.
i already get last record when page loads. if i hit next button means there is no such records. so it fills null value.
so my question is? when page loads i should load first record of query which i have. not last record...

There was several sentences in your post that I couldn't follow (conveying technical information is often difficult).yeah!. i feel it. while the volunteer read other side of the globe he/she may feel tough right. i dont give pain here after.
i did mistake around the resultset. then after i corrected from a wild search over the google.

Renaming jpg files

I want to rename about 500 jpg files whose sizes range from 2.5 to 4.5 MB each. If I use the "Process Multiple Files" in PE 9, and change ONLY the name , will this affect the quality in any appreciable way?

Paige is right : I just tested it and the 'process multiple files' without entering any edits ended with files with less than one quarter of the initial size... and raw .CR2 files were saved as .PSD... When choosing 'convert to jpeg max quality', the results were nearly the same size as originals for jpegs which means you should not see any difference. If you don't follow the advice to use the Organizer, don't forget to choose this option, otherwise the compression will be very strong.

Simbol X in the row of results in a query

Hi group,
I have a small question about results in a query. When I open the query, in some rows for results appears the simbol X. If I click right button=> calculate=> sumation, the figure appears right. The problem is I have to do it manually for every row of results everytime I run the query.
Does anyone know how to do it automatically to get the results instead of the X every time that the query is run??

I have tried it, but still not working....there is not units in the amounts that are to be summed...In facts, it works when i set the calculation of results as summation.
The only problem is that any time that i run the query, again the calculation of results appears as "nothing defined", so i have to change it everytime...
There is any option to set the calculation of results ALWAYS as summation??????

Batch rename

Hello Adobe community,
I want to batch rename about 50 pics but the Problem is that the part I want to edit is at every Pic different.
For example: _0000_00 Loadscreen _0001_01 Default _0002_02 Productdetail and so forth
The Part I want to delete is _0000_ ist this possible in Adobe Bridge? Or with any other programms?
The best way would be able to select the first 6 cyphers? Is this Possible?

How do you rename, or change permissions on many files?

**Note** there are SUDO commands here that can potentially wreck up your system. If you have questions about this stuff, post in the forum or ask someone verbally to help. The sudo command can really cause problems if you're not entirely sure what you're doing.
I had an issue a while ago where I had to rename about 400 pictures all in the same folder. They were all named by a students PEN #. I needed an incremental number starting at 001.jpg. I was hoping to figure out a script either in apple script or in terminal that would do the job. I called a friend of mine at another school with my problem (he's a windows guy) and he had this great idea.
First of all, using terminal list all the files.
The command is simply "ls" without the quotes.
Select all the files that the ls command outputs and copy it. (command c)
Next, open up excel or numbers or any spreadsheet program, select cell B1 and paste the list of files in question.
When I type SPACE below, I mean hit the space bar.
Now comes the fun part.
In cell A1 type mv SPACE
In Cell C1 type SPACE
In Cell D1 type 001
In Cell E1 type .jpg
In Cell F1 type the following.
Fill down each of the columns to the bottom of the list of file names.

Now, if you wanted to change ownership of a set of folders, you could use the same process.
I'm assuming that the folder's that your changing are home folders here. In other words, the home folder name should be the same as the shortname of your user.
It might look something like this:
Navigate to the folder that conains your user folders. **CAUTION ----SUDO AHEAD*** This command can BREAK YOUR COMPUTER if you're not careful.
Type: sudo -s
type your password.
Copy the list of Folders from terminal.
Paste them into some column way on the right in excel or numbers or whatever. Maybe column F or something.
Now, in A1 type chmod SPACE        and fill it down all the way.
In B1 type -R SPACE         and fill it down all the way
In C1 type =F1 SPACE       and fill it down all the way
In D1 type =F1       and fill it down all the way
In E1 type =CONCATENATE(A1..D1)        and fill it down all the way
The spreadsheet might look like this:

Again, just copy and paste column E into terminal and poof! It should work!
*Note, it might be a good idea to run a trial on a folder that's not important to you before you start. These commands you're running can wreck things up pretty good. So ensure things are set up properly before hand!

In the Finder's Get Info window, under permissions, you can click the little gear icon and set the "Apply to encoded items" flag. Then when you change permissions, it will apply to everything underneath the selected folder.

QA13..Inspection lot status should be UD without result

Hello Guys,
One of our client want report to show for the inspection lot for which UD is done, And there is no results in the Result column in Transaction:QA13,Those records need to display in the report.
But report was developed ,we are getting only the valuated once without result and ud is done.One more requirement is that non valuated once with UD,Without result should also display in the report.
Normally logic is like this from table :QALS with ud we are passing to QAMR table..But we are not getting the non valuated once in this table.
Can any one explain how we need to get the non valuated once in the report.Is there any table or Function Module where we can able to look into.

Without result recording has many interpretations. Suppose you have 2 MICs (LENGTH and WIDTH) in a particular lot and you have to enter 5 readings for each MIC. Letu2019s have a look on following cases.
1.     Not a single reading is entered for any of the MICs.
2.     Readings have been recorded for all samples for only 1 or partial MICs. (All the 5 readings for LENGTH are entered and no readings are entered for WIDTH)
3.     Partial readings are recorded for all MICs. (2 readings for LENGTH and 3 readings for WIDTH are recorded)
4.     All the readings have been entered but none of the MICs have been valuated up to status 5. (5 readings for LENGTH and WIDTH entered but you have not valuated / closed MIC)
The logic for report changes based on above assumptions.
1.     If you do not get data in QAMR table, it means result recording is not all done. Not for a single reading is entered.
2.     QAMR is for getting the information about Results Record Status. i.e. whether MIC is set for processing or MIC is closed and valuated.
3.     I think, you must explore QASE table also. QASE if for individual MIC readings.
4.     Test the effect of result recording in both the tables for a particular inspection lot and develop logic accordingly. But the definition of NO RR should be finalized first.

Some files refuse to be renamed

Some files refuse to be renamed, about 0.5% of my library does this. What happens is I can rename the file as usual, but when I play another song, then return to play the renamed song, the tag reverts back to before i renamed it.
Anyone know what's going on?
Note: this happened in particular to a group of songs I encoded myself, recording from vinyl. However, it also occurs with songs I get from the internet. (I don't think it happens with properly purchased songs)

changing artist, album and all other info but the name is changing the song's tag only. however, changing the song name in iTunes actually modifying the file's name.
a quick test you may perform is to verify what's happen if you try to change the file's name from within the finder. if the finder doesn't allow to change the name either it will not be an iTunes issue.

After attempting to rename an EO on which a VO was based I received an error that indicated the VO was dependent on the attribute to be renamed. I removed the VO attribute from the VO's attribute list and saved the changes. I then brought up the Entity Object wizard where I attempted to rename the attribute.

Thanks for the post, I've been able to reproduce this in the current builds and I've logged this as bug #3159091 to be fixed for 9.0.5 production.
