Rename CPD using Subversion or Explorer?

Hi
My RoboHelp (V7) cpd is 25MB and I want to reduce its size. I am intending to rename the file and then open the project, and hopefully the resulting CPD will be much smaller. I use Subversion as source control for the RoboHelp project. My question is do I rename the CPD using Subversion or using Windows Explorer?
Thanks in advance
MadgeDeepers

They are machine specific files so there is no point in having them in source control. If they aren't present when you open the RH project, they are automatically rebuilt. The same could also be said about the HHP and LDB files although here we do add these to source control.
With SVN, ignoring the CPD file gets around that annoying updated icon issue when all you've done is open a project to look at something.

  • Cannot delete file - tried everything - file in use by Windows Explorer error

Hi - I have tried now for 2-3 hours trying to delete an .mkv file from my "Downloads" folder
It says the file is in use by Windows Explorer and cannot be deleted
I have tried deleting it using Del command prompt as me and as Administrator (I am the Admnistrator, there are no other users) - no luck
I have tried Safe Boot and then deleting - no luck
I have tried rebooting many times and then deleting - no luck
Any ideas? It's driving me nuts

hi to all who have this bug- "file in use by Windows Explorer error"
this is the only way that it works:
    1.type cmd in search box
2.go to the drive and the directory the file is in ,for example:
after you type cmd you have a black screen with c:\user\
type in the drive the file is in and hit enter example - d: than hit enter
    than you should see d:\>
now click the directory the problem file is in ,for example i will call the directory "movies"  type in this-   cd movies
now you will see this d:\movies>
to delete the file type this:  del filename.mkv (dont forget the .mkv or any other file extension) don't hit enter yet, first open task manager (cntrl+shift+esc) go to process tab than right click on explorer.exe choose and click on end process
now your desktop should disappear. get back to the "cmd" window and hit enter.
now the file is deleted. now go back to the task manager and click on "file" on the upper left corner then on new task then type in "explorer.exe"
    and you are done
please note that the file name you choose to delete cant be with spaces between the letters .if so you will need to change it in the same way in the cmd window only the comand will be instead of "del filename.mkv"(for example) after you are in the
    right drive and directory:
    rename "test space.mkv" testspace.mkv
    hope i helped
this is the only way it workes
Instead of running a CMD prompt and typing everything, just start up Winrar or Winzip, kill Explorer, then delete problem MKV files to your hearts content within Winrar or Winzip.
Winrar and Winzip will navigate your folders as well.
After you are done, create a new Explorer task.
or.....   if you need to rename MKV files, just rename them within Winrar/Winzip with Explorer not running.
I change the MKV extension to AVI (in Winrar with Explorer killed) in order to avoid Explorer issues, if I ever want to move the files in the future without needing to kill Explorer all the time to do so .
Using WinRAR works for me. Using the cmd function becomes complicated when I cannot rename my file with the rename command".

  • Change file name when using subversion

    Using CS6 / Windows 8.1.
In our setup all files are checked into Subversion. This seems to cause problems when renaming files. I rename files from within Dreamweaver. All links on other pages get updated, but the file name doesn't change. This is not an issue if file hasn't been checked in yet, or for sites not using Subversion. Is this a bug? Is there a workaround?

I see this was a problem in CS5. Is it still not fixed in CS6?
Can't rename file under Subversion control.

I installed the new version of iTunes today. It's 12.1.1. After completing the installation, including restarting my computer, I was no longer able to use Windows Internet Explorer. Has anybody else experienced this? If so, how did you fix Explorer? I was using Explorer 11 and Windows 7, installed on an HP Pavilion g series

Never heard of that being caused by installing iTunes. Try asking on a Windows forum. This isn't a problem with iTunes or any other Apple product. If you believe it is, uninstall iTunes. If the problem persists, you'll have to seek advice on a Windows forum or contact Microsoft for support.

I would like to use the windows explorer open dialog box instead of the adobe open dialog box. How can I change that?

The top screenshot is the Windows Open dialog box. All File > Open... commands in all Windows programs bring it up.   Try File > Open in Notepad for example.
It belongs to Windows not Adobe. You cannot change this because there is no such thing as an Adobe Open dialog box.
The bottom screenshot is Windows Explorer. It is Windows' OS File Browser, not an Open dialog.  It is not called up by Photoshop or any Windows program.
You have to click on "My Computer" or a Folder icon to get to it. You can double-click a psd, jpeg or other image file in the Explorer window so that it opens in Photoshop.
There is Adobe Bridge and Minibridge   Alt + Ctrl + O or File > Browse in Bridge

    Help with Adobe.premiere.elements12. Please
It would appear under the organizer tab that the photos are organised in the lowest folder in the folder structure within Windows Explorer.  How can I use the Windows Explorer structure to organise the photos within Elements.

In a situation such as yours, I tend to consolidate items into folders so I have folders of nice workable numbers of images, somewhere between 20 and 200 images. Now, whatever, once you've imported, do your moving within LR, not the OS! I will select all in a folder and drag into a folder a level or two or three above, and then delete the newly empty subfolders. I hope this helps a bit!
Once you've reached just new Imports of camera output, you'll be flying along.

  • Migrating sapwsdl file using SAP ES Explorer

Is there any way to use the existing sapwsdl file which is created using SAP connector to SAP ES Explorer?
Our aim is to use the SAP ES Explorer with Visual Studio 2005 version.
Or is there any other way to migrate the application using SAP ES Explorer without using service registry. Please reply as soon as possible as we are not able to proceed further.
    Thank You,

    Hi Juhi,
    Pls. find my comments below-
    >>Is there any way to use the existing sapwsdl file which is created using SAP connector to SAP ES >>Explorer?
Well, you need to understand that the working and underlying principles of Connector and ES explorer is different.
1.SAP Connector is there to expose the RFC/BAPI from SAP ERP system and provide design time and runtime support for application development.
    2. ES explorer provides access to the services published into Service Registry, which can be consumed by application.

    >>Or is there any other way to migrate the application using SAP ES Explorer without using service >>registry. Please reply as soon as possible as we are not able to proceed further.
Bottom line is, if you want to use ES Explorer you would have to ensure that there exists a Service Registry and Services are publish in that.
Hope to clarify some of your points.
    Regards.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Sedname - Batch rename files using sed

Renaming files using sed is nothing new, but this script makes the process a little more friendly and adds a few features, including insertion of sequential numbers and a simulation mode.  The output of any find command can also be piped through sedname.
    sedname version 1.0.0
Batch-renames files using a sed script
Usage: sedname [OPTIONS] SEDSCRIPT FILE ...
Usage: find [...] | sedname [OPTIONS] SEDSCRIPT
    Example: sedname 's/\(.*\)\.jpg/\1.jpeg/' *.jpg
    Example: find /mypics | sedname 's/\(.*\)\.jpg/\1.jpeg/'
    OPTIONS:
    --sim simulate only
    --dir rename directories too
Use #D to insert a number with D digits forming a unique filename
    Example: sedname 's/thisname.*/thatname#3/' *
    ( changes thisname* to thatname001, thatname002, ... )
Use #0 in replacement name to insert a number if needed
    Example: sedname 's/thisname.*/thatname#0/' *

  • How to restrict "Open Applications" window from showing C drive? Or use the Windows Explorer "Open" Window?

Hi, Im new to JDeveloper and I work in a school which requires restriction of the C: Drive. Does any one know how I can either stop the "Open Applications" dialog from showing this drive or Use the Windows Explorer "Open" dialog window to browse files, the drive has been hidden and restricted using GPO but JDeveloper shows the C: drive?
    Any help is much appreciated.

Hi and thanks Timo. We are using 12c. On the Windows side of things, we are using Win7 and we have hidden the drives we don't want the user to see using GPO but obviously Jdev then shows these drives in its "Open Applications" Window and allows access. As far as the environmental variable is concerned this is something that I put in place.
Many thanks for your reply and the link to the tech doc.

    Hello,
We have a requirement to use only internet explorer for SAP portal.
When we try to use portal in any other browser, it should display a message saying "This browser is not supported for the application" (or any other message). But purpose is, the portal application should be usable in only one browser i.e Internet Explorer.
If any one have any idea on this, how this can be implemented, then please share the same. I tried to find if there are any standard SAP portal parameters, but haven't come across any.

  • Use Subversion with Coldfusion Builder Beta

    Hi,
I run Coldfusion 9 Beta, Coldfusion Builder Beta under Windows7. Also installed Subversion/tortoise.
How can I use Subversion within CF Builder? If I right click a projects and choose Team->Share project,I get a window prompting me to select a repository type. Nothing is listed in the white space below and I cannot add any repository types. Under Preferences->Team I have options "File Content", "Ignored Resources" and "Models". Cannot choose here for a version system (CVS/Subversion) as in Eclipse with Subclipse installed. Do I have to download Subclipse and add it to CFBuilder manually?
    Thanks for any tips,
    Marc

What is very strange is that I have been using the CF Builder Beta for awhile now and it has always had repository types listed.  I have been working with VSS for my repository.  However I am having the same issue since I installed CF Builder Beta 2.  I have no options for repository type.  Any ideas what happened to this feature?
    Sincerely,

  • How to upgrade Data Modeler design to new version when using subversion?

    Hi,
I just installed Data Modeler 3.1 product version and I'm using subversion. When I open a design which I have modified with earlier 3.1EA3 version, I get the message " This design is in old format You should use "Save as... from file menu ...
Is there other more smart way to upgrade to new version than "save as" ? I remember having problems in earlier versions with this also. Am I supposed to save the design with different name or...? Or what is the best way?

    Hi ,
I have updated the model to 3.1 version with subversion and I have to say that is quite hard for me,
I have "save as" with other name in other folder and after I have dropped from SVN my current folder and copy the new files to new folder in SVN and add the files to SVN,
I hope that I should not do this workaround too many times in future,
maybe if we save the model below a folder with the version number of the tool will help us but I don't like this option,
I guess someone could help us with a simpler solution than mine,
