Rename Issue

Hello everyone,
I went to "manage presentation catalog" and renamed a report, then i went to a dashboard to add that report. But to my surprise the report had the old name!
I´ve restarted the services and it still shows the old name but when I go to change the name the new name is shown.
I´m using OBIEE10g.
Anyone else had this bug?

Ananth wrote:
You able to see that report in the Dashboard .....??
after renaming the report you will not see that report in the dashboard.....
if you are able to see means you did not changed the corect report.I can see the report in the dashboard. But when I'm creating the report, in the list from where I drag the report, the name isn't the correct.
I had this problem some other time, but since it was a small report I deleted it and recreated it. But now I don't want to do that.
For some reason it doesn't link the displayed name with the saved name.

  • Namespace replace/rename issue in ALSB

    Hi,
    As part of our project we have been using ALSB3.0. In one of our outbound Proxy flows we have configured transform stage which intern executing XQuery transormation. Post transformation it publish message on BEA JMSTopic in following format.
    *<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

    Please help us in rename/replace namespace prefix from 'ref:' to 'ns1:' at post transformation and before publishing the saem to JMS Topic.
    Thanks in advance........

    Personally I would mandate that what ever is the consumer of the JMSQ should be compatible with XML name space constructs. If it is not under our control then one solution would be
    1) Convert the xml to string
    let $strContent := fn-bea:serialize($body)
    2) Replace the ref: with ns1:
    return fn-bea:inlinedXML(fn:replace( $strContent, "ref:", "ns1:") )
    This is a very bad solution but should solve your issue if XML is not huge (huge XML will consume lot of cpu for this transformation ) .Ideally I would recommend changing the behavior of the message consumer.
    Also you can try defining name space for http://www.indteur.org/abc/2.1/reference as ns1 in sbconsole proxy name space definitions. I believe even this will work but never tried.Let me know if this works for you.
    My two cents

  • Bridge Batch Rename Issues!!!

    I'm having problems using "batch rename" in Bridge. I run two machines at work, on one the "rename in same folder" option is ALWAYS non-selectable. On my other machine I can select the option to save in same folder but when I "select all" and then batch rename Bridge automatically deselects some of the images and only renames those that are left selected. Needless to say this is pointless and I end up in Photo Mechanic.
    My co-worker and I both have this issue, both run two computers. We're running OS 10.4.1 and CS3.
    Anyone have a similar issue or even better a fix?!
    Thanks,
    -Matthew

    You are better off with this .. http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/14404
    Called R-name - its a small freeware application that I use all the time, quicker and less problematic than using Bridge. Been using it for years with no problems at all, works with drag and drop too.

  • File(*.VI) Rename Issue

    I am facing issue with respect to renaming a file under project explorer.
    Steps:
    1. Open a Project
    2. Add a VI with file name as "DeInitialize"
    3. Right Click and select Rename
    4. File Dialog opens to enter new name
    5. Enter "Deinitialize" (Only change is from DeInitialize to Deinitialize)
    6. LabVIEW Popup message (File Already Exist) asking for replace it.
    7. At the end file name remains same as “DeInitialize”.
    I am finding it weird. I have to rename the file to something else and then back to make it work.
    Is it a OS issue or LabVIEW environment issue.
    I am working with LabVIEW 2013 SP1 under Windows 7.

    I think it's a LV thing.  I believe that a LV "rename" does more than rename the VI.  I think it actually creates a new VI with the new name and updates everything to point to the new file, then deletes the old one.  Since you cannot name a new file with an existing name, it's just not allowed.  Notice that LV opens up a file dialog box instead of just letting you edit the name directly?  And that "rename" is in the "save as" dialog?  Also note that the date changes on the file when you rename it.

  • Bridge Renaming issue Dialogue box color

    Attached is the screen grab for the issue i have. In Bridge (Creative Cloud CS6 when I go to doa batch rename my dialogue box is black. How do I fix this?
    Andrea Stork
    <Removed by Moderator>

    Graphics  ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256 MB
    Almost certainly this is the trouble maker.
    The minimum amount of VRAM for the Cloud CS6 is 512 MB, (1 GB recommended)
    And 4 GB of RAM is also not that much for a MacPro (I have 16 GB RAM installed and upgraded my Graphic Card with the ATI Radeon 5770 with 1 GB VRAM from the Apple Store)
    If you check the preferences for PS under performance you will see that you can only use a few GB RAM for PS (system and other open applications also consume a bit of RAM) and the use of a graphic processor (needed for Open CL with nice features as flick panning, Birds eye zoom, scrubby zoom etc) is not able to select on your computer.
    So basically investing a bit in a lot of RAM (fairly cheap nowadays) and a new Graphic card (a bit higher investment) will not only most likely solve this bridge problem but will let you also benefit with more over all performance of your whole system. But of course, the decision is up to you, because sadly enough you are also the one thats need to pay for it...
    The upside is that both replacement of RAM and Graphic card is very easy for a Mac Pro and you certainly are able to do this yourself after reading some short instructions

  • MAJOR BUG - CS5 Library Renaming Issues

    I posted about this before but it hasen't been resolved and I'm running into it again.
    I also found another side affect of this bug.
    In a large library where none of the items are on the stage, if you rename a movie
    clip or folder the items rename, but a duplicate is created with the old name.
    Below, I renamed the Movie Clip by adding  _test to the end.
    The duplicate or the new name may be an empty MovieClip that you can not access
    This also corrupts the timeline of the Movie Clip by creating duplicates of the existing layers.
    Q suggested dragging the items to the stage before renaming as a workaround.
    This seems to keep them from duplicating but I found that the Timeline still becomes corrupted.

    Hi Gabriel,
    I've seen this before. It happens when the symbol name has non-supported character or an ETX character. We have fixed this issue in CS5.5. I can take a look at your file. Please zip it, change .zip to .zzz, and email it to my attention at [email protected]
    Also let me know which symbol is causing you issue so I can target those first. In the meantime, try saving your file as Flash CS4, does it still duplicate after you rename the symbol?
    Thanks,

  • Ingest rename issue with P2

    so I really like the rename on ingest feature in Prelude 2.0, particularly adding "Creation Date (YYYYMMDD)" before the original filename.
    I always make sure to sync all the clocks in my cameras before a shoot.  when I ingest, Prelude sees all of the creation dates correctly from all of my cameras except my P2 cams.
    the creation date in the renamed file is always "19040101" (1904-01-01) instead of the correct date whenever I ingest from P2 (HPX170 & HPX250).  what's curious is that the correct creation date is in the metadata of the ingested file.
    my AF100, HMC150, GH3 & GH2 all ingest with the correct creation date on ingest.
    any ideas or should I file a bug report?

    Hi -
    Our QE has been able to reproduce this bug as well. It has now been logged as bug #3601848 and is targeted for fix in our next release.
    Thank you for finding this issue and letting us know.

  • Refactor rename issues  -- bug?

    Using refactor rename to change the name of a protected class variable from foo to bar.
    After making the change, my pending changes tab shows I have 18 updates classes. Every reference to a variable named foo has been changed to bar. I expected the change to only be in this class and any sub-classes. Not every class that has a variable with the same name!!!!!! When the name is a commonly used name, this can wreck HAVOC. I don;t have the time nor the patience to undo this change to 17 unrelated files to the ONE I was editing.

    Sorry, I got distracted and forgot to say that search in comments was NOT selected. My bad. So I still believe this is an issue. --Keith

  • LR3 - Import file renaming issue

    I'm having an issue with renaming files when importing.
    I import using YYYYMMDD at the begining of the file name. However any photo that is taken after around 2pm on a given day gets tomorrows date.
    Any ideas?

    Known bug.
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/2880448?tstart=0#2880448
    The workaround at the moment is to not rename on import, but in Library after import. Strangely, renaming in Library works correct.

  • Volume rename issues

    I have renamed the volume where I have my "Users" folder from "Data HD" to "Data_HD" since the blank was causing problems especially in shell scripts. I've renamed it with the finder.
    At first every seemed to go well, but then I noticed that my home directory path was not updated properly. I then updated it manually via the system preferences.
    Now I noticed that in the /Volumes folder I have two directories "Data HD" and "Data_HD" both pointing to the same volume (the one where I have my users directory). Somehow the old one was not removed when I did the rename ...
    How can I remove the obsolete "Data HD" without loosing any data.
    Thanks in advance for any advice
    Olaf

    Thanks for all your feedback. I now have some more precise info on what actually happend. And I was also able to resolve the issue
    When upgrading to 10.5 I decided to do a fesh installation. I now have two partitions
    - "Macintosh HD" holding the OS, applications and user folder for the admin account
    - "Data_HD" holding the home directories of all other users
    When renaming the Data partion originally named "Data HD" I was logged in with my normal (not admin) account having the home directory on the Data partition. The path to my home directory was not updated in the users preferences automatically i.e. is still pointed to "Data HD/Users/olaf" I updated it manually to "Data HD/Users/olaf".
    After renaming the partition in the finder, the result was the following:
    <pre>hedges:Volumes root# ls -la
    total 8
    drwxrwxrwt@ 5 root admin 170 Oct 20 20:04 .
    drwxrwxr-t 31 root admin 1122 Oct 19 21:26 ..
    drwxrwx--x 3 admin staff 102 Oct 20 00:08 Data HD
    drwxrwxr-x 10 admin staff 408 Oct 19 15:40 Data_HD
    lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 1 Oct 20 01:16 Macintosh_HD -> /
    </pre>
    From the finder it was clear that the "Data_HD" is a link where as the "Data HD" is a directory. When I looked at the entire hierarchy of the "Data HD" dir it was clear that it did not really contain any data. It only contained my home dir and the "Documents" and "Libarary" folder with some data, but none of the data actually on the partition. So it was safe to delete the "Data HD" directory.
    I assume that when I logged off after the volume rename some of the running applications (that still used the old name) wrote some data back to old path and then creating all directories in the Volumes folder. I then had some problems with some of the applications (e.g. Adobe Bridge crashing). But after removing their folders in the "Library/Application Support" directory in my actual home directory things now seem to be on track again
    I guess it's mainly my fault since I should have done everything when only the admin was logged on. Next time I will be more cautious when doing these potentially dangerous admin tasks!
    Thanks again for all your help
    Olaf

  • Renaming Issues

    I am now running itunes 7.5, but am having issues with renaming songs, which was not the case on older versions of Itunes.
    When I press F2 to rename a song, as soon as I change just one letter, the song exits "renaming mode" and then the song jumps away. So if I have made a mistake it's very hard to find the song again. I have a lot of songs that aren't named correctly and being able to change just one letter at a time before the song turns "blue" again is becoming a pain.
    Any ideas what can be causing this? Before I was able to just press F2 and rename my songs and then press enter and everything would be ok.

    Have you tried clicking on the song name to open the text box? Click once on the song name to highlight it, then click once more and the name should open for editing. Be careful not to double click or the song will simply start playing.

  • Batch Rename Issues - CS5 - Win7

    Bridge (4.0.2.1) will not Batch Rename in sequential order.  Have tried several times on different folders and get the same results each time.
    For example:
    Folder with 280 images.  I request a Batch Rename in Same Folder, numbered sequentially starting with 001+JobName+Original File Name.jpg.
    What I get is:  sequential 001 to 051, then 096, 098, 100, 102 - 106, then 052 -107, then doubles -  2x 108, 2x 109, 2x 110, 2x 111, 2x 112, 2x 113, 2x 114, 2x 115, 2x 116, 2x 117, 2x 118, 2x 119, 2x 120, then 121-258.
    I've never experienced anything like this, ANY HELP APPRECIATED!!  I do not want to name over 1000 total files by hand!

    Is this really an Adobe Reader problem?

  • Renaming issues of Database.

    Hi All,
    We had replication set up for a database, which we removed few days back and now we want to rename the database, when I tried with
    USE master;
    GO
    ALTER DATABASE abc
    Modify Name = zabc
    GO,  which is throwing an error as Msg 18855, Level 11, State 1, Line 1
    Can not rename the database name because it is published or it is a distribution database used by replication.
    I verified the publisher server under replication>> publications, no database as such being replicated and verified subscriber server>> replication>>  under subscribers no database as such participating  in replication.
    When I googled I got this :
    Can not rename the database because it is published or it is a distribution database used by replication. (Error 18855)
    One reason for this to occur is because your database is being replicated. To rename the database you need to disable the replication and then reinstate it afterwards (if required).
    To disable replication:
    Right click the Servername -> Replication node in Management Studio and Click Disable Distribution. Run through the wizard. Once the database is renamed right click the Replication node node again and select Configure Distribution. You should be able to
    accept the defaults if Replication was previously configured.
    But if we disable distribution,whole replication setup for all databases will be down, please correct me if I am wrong.
    SQL version is
    Microsoft SQL Server 2012 - 11.0.5058.0 (X64)
    May 14 2014 18:34:29
    Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation
    Standard Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.1 <X64> (Build 7601: Service Pack 1)
    Please help me how to proceed with this.
    Thanks.

    Check what output you get when you run the query.
    SELECT name,is_published, is_subscribed, is_merge_published, is_distributor
    FROM sys.databases
    WHERE name = 'Databasename'
    If the above query gives 1 for any of this, then you have not cleaned replication properly. You need to clean it properly, but the method you mentioned is not the correct method.
    You are right if you disable replication then all other databases which are part of replication is also affected. You need to run the below command against the database in question
    sp_removedbreplication 'database_name'

  • Renaming issue

    Usually I rename like this:
    YYYYMMDD-(CUSTOM TEXT)-HH(ORIGINAL FILE NUMBER).EXT
    This way I get a name with 6 numbers at the end; after that it's impossible to get back to the Original 4-digit File Number. This happen also every time the Original File Number is no more the last 4-digit number available and not necessarily at the end of the name.
    It's clear that Lightroom doesn't actually read the Original File Number in the EXIF, rather it just reads the last available numbers
    Any solution appreciated but I think there's no solution other then waiting for a fix.
    I'm using Lightroom 3.4 on Mac 10.6.7
    Regards,
    Marco

    In-camera file name: _DSC1234.NEF
    Renaming during import in Lightroom I end up with: 20110713-CN-161234.NEF
    As I told I use the preset: YYYYMMDD-XX-HH(ORIGINAL FILE NUMBER).EXT
    Y= Year
    M= Month
    D= Day
    XX= Custom Name
    HH= Hour
    At this point I've lost the ORIGINAL FILE NUMBER, which is 161234 now, even though the "ACTUAL" ORIGINAL FILE NUMBER is still stored into the EXIF of the NEF file.
    The only possible conclusion is that Lightroom is not even able to read a basic info like the ORIGINAL FILE NUMBER into the EXIF.
    If I'm not missing something, Lightroom needs a fix.

    Marco
