Rename of Transport Request Name

Hi Friends,
How do we can rename Transport request description in BID system?
Can we rename the same Transport request description in BIQ system(Once it is imported from BID system) ?
Thanks in Advance...

Hi ,
Regarding your query for renaming the transport, the transport request can be renamed only when it is in Development system and once it is released or being imported into the Quality system it cannot be renamed.
As suggested above, go to SE09, double click -> go to edit mode and chance the anme under properties tab.
Hope it helps,
Neha.

  • ChaRM: Edit Transport request Name

    Hi Team,
I am implementing ChaRM in Sol Man. When i have creatd the transport request in ECC DEV  through Sol Man, by default the transport request name is appearing as "EDDK". I would like the name of the transport request to appear as "MCCK instead of EDDK*. Is it possible?

    hi
Transport Requests are SAP auto generated, cannot changed.(Experts kindly correct me if i m wrong).its in the format of
    <source SID><k9><serial numbers>
however you can change this serioal number before TR get created, By manually changing the filed TRKORR in the table E070L
(index for assigning Numbers to TR)
for all the tables involved in TR, refer [trasnport guide|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ABAP/Transport%20Guide]

  • Creating transport request

    Hello guys
I am trying to change something (name of object) in our DEV server....its prompting to enter me transport request name....I joined recently.Do I create one new request? What the general format?
or do we get one from our client manager...?
I have one more doubt...it didnot ask for package name???'ewhy is it like that?
    Thanks and Regards,
    S Hayward

    Hi,
When you are trying to do any changes in dev system the system asks the request no to store the changed  or created objets .
Generally TR(Work bentch request) will be generate automatically once you save the objects.
if you are already having request number you can give that request number. this you can find out under user name > (if you already saved the ojbets under any request)
if you want to store your object in the new workbench request , you can create it by selecting "NEW" and give package name and discription then system will generate the "WBR" for that purticular objets.
that you can see in SE09/SE01 under the user name.
I hope it may help you
    Regards.

  • Find Query Name in Transport Request or In TR what are Queries.

    Dear All,
I would like to find a Query Name in Transport Request(DEVK.....)  or  Vice-Versa in Transport Request (DEVK........), what are the queries are included.   I created SAP Query using SQ01 and assigned the InfoSet.  The query is succesfully executing and getting the required result but I dont know the Transport Request Number which was created.  In stead of creating New request, I would like to know the existing Transport Request what are the Queries are assigned.
    Regards,
    Ujed.

    Hi
If you have included the Query in Transport using SAP Query Transport tool, it creates Transport request and makes an entry in the table AQTDB. Check the table entries in the table AQTDB.

  • Regarding Transport Request and related program names

    Hi All,
    I have a issue with picking Pro<b>gram Names</b> from <b>Transport Request</b> names.
I am using <b>E071</b> table to pick up all the <b>Objects/Program Names</b> based on <b>TR's</b>.
But for the <b>TR's</b> which are having <b>D-Modifiable status</b> i am not getting any entries from <b>E071</b> table.
Can anybody give me alternate table which will give us All Program names under a T<b>R</b> based on T<b>R</b> for which status is <b>D</b>.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks,
    Deep.

    Hi Deep,
When the transport request is not released (i.e it is in Modifiable status) all the objects are linked to the tasks under the transport request. So if you are trying to get all the objects in the transport request(in modifiable status), first you have to get all the tasks under the transport request and get the objects under each task from E071 table.
You can get the taskes under the transport request by selecting from E070 table
    select * from E070 where STRKORR = <your transport request numer>
then you can get all the objects for each task .

  • About package name and transport request number

    Hello Gurus,
I know when doing some changes in the sap bw system, and performing activation subsequently , you are prompted to save the changes into some package and transport request. my question is:
in the real project, where does those package name and transport request number come from?   make up by myself or provided by project management, or someone else?  if doing by youself, how to make up package name and transport request number ?
    Many thanks.

package is like a folder in windows.. u create package for a project and than collect all the relevant transports in it.
to create package u use SE80.. Transport req number are configured by basis team.. its usually source system ID and running serial number...
package name can be decided by tech architect or by ur team manager..

  • Change KM Transport file  name ( .kmc).. rename

    Hi all,
In KM transport, while exporting the package... content administration -> km content -> transport -> export
    a) First we will give the transport package name add the KM files.
    b) Then will go to pending exports from the context menu of the transport package we will select start export.
    c) next step it will give the store path of the transport package and file name ( i.e. xxx.KMC ).
now the issue is... This both stored path and file name are read only. the ".kmc" file is the id which is a xx digit numeric number.
Our client wants to change the name of this file name (.kmc) to his own naming convension for easy use and better understanding.
what needs to be done for this???
    Thanks,
    PradeeP

    Pradeep,
The name of the archive file is composed of a technical ID and the ending .kmc
    <technical ID>.kmc
but if you are looking at changing the technical ID, I dont think, SAP recommends doing that. You can have a look at the 3rd point in this help document..

  • Re-transport the transport request to NQA server after system refresh

    Hi
Users are moving the transport requests in NQA (quality server) using STMS tcode and Basis team is moving the trasnport requests using TP command in operating system level.
There are some transport requests that are released and are moved only to NQA server but not in Production server.
After the NQA refresh from Production server, we need to re-create the trasnport route for NQA server
in NQA using SE06 and STMS.
Now users want to re-transport the requests again in NQA server that was moved to NQA before the system copy but they are not able to make it.  In the transport queue, users are able to see their transport requests but they are not able to re-transport.
When basis team try to move the same transport requests using TP command in operating system level, it failed with  error:

Id there is any other way to re-transport the requests, pls suggest us.

    Amar,
Depending on how many tarnsports you have and also if this is one time, what you can do is ask Basis guys to write a small script which adds to the buffer to your NQA system.
    Steps:
    1) under /usr/sap/trans/buffer rename the NQA buffer file.
    2) create a new empty file NQA (make sure permissions are identical)
    3) Provide the list of transports and ask Basis team to put it in a file at Unix level
    4) Run a script which will add to the buffer from the source file.
    5) From STMS refresh the NQA queue and you should see all the transports ready for import.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • TRANSPORT REQUEST CANNOT BE EXPORTED ENDED WITH RC 0208

Hi I am trying to release my request AEDK902592 of DEVELOPMENT server through se10. Now my problem is that the child request number
AEDK902593 is getting released whereas the parent request
AEDK902592 is nor released giving the following error: test call of transport control program (tp) ended with return code 0208.Can anyone please tell what can be wrong.Or is something wrong with the
request a it is also showing:your transport request could not be
exported as all requirement is not fulfilled.
Please help as it is very urgent.Helpful suggestion will be duly
    rewarded.
    Regards,
    vicky

    Dear vicky
Longtime back, one of my friends also had faced similar problem and at that time, I was told that by applying the sapnotes 216703, the problem has been rectified.  I am not sure, whether this will help you.
If not, you can also try with the following which I got from my ABAB colleague [I dont have technical knowledge )]
    1. Check the permission/owner on the directory /usr/sap/trans/buffer (or DIR_TRANS/buffer)
    2. Do a cd on that directory and then view the file SID. Check for multiple entries (as in the row entries are the same in all aspects) and any sign of corruption.
Check this file first with the command tp showbuffer <file name>
If the command also outputs the above error message, look for the incorrect line in the buffer file after the last displayed transport request.
Generate a backup copy of the buffer file and then correct the incorrect format of the line with a text editor. You must use the editor 'sappad' on Windows platforms.
If the command 'showbuffer' does not generate an error message, you must search for the incorrect line manually. To help you, you can generate a backup copy of the file and then use the command 'cleanbuffer' to remove processed requests from the buffer file.
    Remember to do this first:
    - Rename the old buffer file (example: System XYZ buffer):
    mv /usr/sap/trans/buffer/XYZ /usr/sap/trans/buffer/XYZ.old

  • Error while assigning objects to Transport Request

    Hi All,
while  assigning a Transfromation to a Treq i am getting an error saying
Object '7KU37C7IG3T7AQ5NHSLEZVC91' (ROUT) of type 'Routine' is not available in version 'A'
    Message no. RSO252
    Diagnosis
You wanted to generate an object with the name '7KU37C7IG3T7AQ5NHSLEZVC91' (in transport request ROUT) of type 'Routine' (TLOGO). This is, however, not available in the BW Repository database. It does not exist in the requested version A. If the version is 'D' then it is possible that an error arose during the delivery or installation. If the version is 'A' then the Object was either not created or not activated.
    System Response
The object was not taken into account in the next stage of processing.
Kindly advice how to rectify this error

    Hi,
You see the which infoobejct contains that routine and first collect that infoobejct and transport it then transport Transfromation. I hope you are missing some Routines while collecting the Transformations into request.
    See OSS Notes:
Note 613581 - Transfer structure does not exist in version 'D'
    Note 508921 - P11:Content transfer:RSO 252 or RSO 296:InfoObject
Note 1157873 - BI7.0(SP18) Message RSO 252 using transport connection
