Rename photos in iphone or ipad?

Why is not possible to rename images inside iPhone or iPad? It is a must if you want to keep a clear catalog order. In addition, I cannot really deliver a customer something like "IMG_4568"... Is/Will be this possible in the new iPad (the one after iPad2)?
Thanks!

Hi,
The issue is “MHTML

Try using one ot the several WiFi transfer apps in the App Store. I do that all the time, back/forth between iPhone and iPad Mini. Works with videos, too.

You don't really sync photos from the devices to the Mac, you import them to an app; iPhoto, Aperture or Image Capture. During that process you are given an option to erase the photos from the device. Is this not the manner that you used?

To sync any photos that are not part of photo stream, you will need to sync the photos to your computer via iTunes first and then to the other device.
WC, will this work from photostream on my computer too?  I just turned photo stream on on my computer.  Thank you.  Liz

  • How do I sink photos from iPhone to ipad

HOw do I sink my photos from iPhone to iPad.i turned phphoto stream on on both devises.

The only way is to sync to iTunes on a computer and then sync from iTunes to the other device, using USB.
If you're thinking of using photo stream, that won't work now, since only photos taken AFTER each device was logged into photo stream will sync between them.  All older photos must be synced via a computer.
The exception to this is if you use dropbox or some other service to act as the middleman.

  • How can i transfer my photos from iphone to ipad

hello i just want to know if somebody can help me to tranfer pics from iphone to ipad pls

    Hi Samaur,
If you have iCloud, then your Photostream will be available on both devices automatically. If you want to sync pictures not on Photostream, then you have a couple of options:
Apple sells a cable that will enable you to link your iPhone to your iPad and transfer the pictures that way
You can get them from your iPhone to your iPad by syncing them through iTunes on your computer
I will tell you that I have used both ways to transfer pictures (the first way before iCloud was available), and when you do a direct transfer using the cable, it may cause issues with the Events in iPhoto. I had to do a lot of moving and renaming to get them straightened out with those direct link photos. It seems like years ago, but probably not that long, but either way - I can't tell you exactly what the problems were, but I won't be using that method anymore. iCloud pretty much solved my issue - with Photostream, I get all my pictures on both devices without doing anything. So, I would strongly recommend iCloud as the way to go...

  • Can't sync contacts or photos from iPhone to iPad, help!

Can someone help? I just upgraded my friends iTunes and then showed her how to sync the two (she's 70). Trouble is her contact and photos from her phone didn't transfer to her iPad. Wi-if is turned on. I made her an iCloud account and that's turned on, what am I missing?
    Please, can anyone help me?
    Thanks,
    Patty

Use the same iCloud account on the iPhone and the iPad.
The info will sync iPhone <> iCloud <> iPad.
Go to Settings > iCloud and enable everything (Contacts, Calendars, etc.)

  • Unable to export some photos to iPhone, or iPad.

When I try to export an album I created (let say a birthday party) to my iPhone, only some of the photos show up in my iPhone or iPad even though there are 70 photos only 13 show. Can someone help please?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions, Abel.
I assume you are syncing the Album in question by selecting the Album in iTunes?
    Do other Albums sync fine?
If you double-click on the images that will not sync in iPhoto do they show up full screen in iPhoto?
What format are these images? (Click on the picture then click on the "i" button in the bottom left corn of iPhoto.)
Ensure all your software is up to date (Apple Menu > Software Update).
Remove the following to the trash and restart the computer and syncing try again:
Home > Library > Caches (I remove the whole folder. It will be re-generated upon restart.)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iPhoto (There will may be more than one. Remove them all.)
If the issue persists try rebuilding your iPhoto Library following this article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2638. Use the bottom 3 rebuild options.
If the issue persists at this point restore your iPhone http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414.
    Hope that helps.

  • Syncing edited photos to iPhone and iPad

I use the "sync all photos albums events and faces" to sync photos from iPhoto to my iPhone and iPad.
However if I subsequently edit any photos they are not transferred across to my devices when I next sync.
I understand a workaround for this issue is to delete the cache and resync, however with the amount of photos I have, this would be too time consuming.
Edited photographs seem to be updated on my Apple TV (1st generation) and MobileMe galleries, is there any reason why they aren't automatically transferred across to my iPhone/iPad?
Thanks in advance for you help

That may be a better question for the iPad/iPhone forums - or maybe even iTunes since it is doing the sync

  • Managing photos on iPhone and iPad - deleting from camera roll

I have a iPhone 4s and an iPad Air, but no laptop or desk top. All my photos are currently saved on my phone and I need to clear space. Is it possible to delete photos from camera roll but still have them permanently saved in another album or on iCloud? Deleting them from camera roll, on iPhone or iPad, seems to delete them from everywhere.

When you delete a photo from the camera roll it is deleted from any albums that contain it.  This is because the albums don't contain actual photos; they only contain links to the photo in the camera roll.  When the cameral roll photo is deleted, the link to it is removed form any albums as well.
Also, photos only remain in my photo stream for 30 days, and if you delete a photo stream photo from your device it is also deleted from iCoud and all other devices.
Photos added to a shared stream will remain in iCloud indefinitely, the will be at a lower resolution than the original.  And the shared stream album will also remain on your phone.
For all these reasons, you can really use iCloud to archive your photos and free up space on your device.  Instead, import them to your computer while they are still in the camera roll, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  If you want to be able to still view them, get a Flikr account (or similar) so you can view them as a gallery from the web.

I was told at retail store I had to use my computer to share my photos iphone and ipad, I dn't know how to do this. Can anyone help?  Thanx

The language of the two stores (iTunes and the App Store) can't be changed - they will be in the language of the country where your account is based (if they aren't correct then try logging out of your account by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in).

Directly not. Indeed, refer to photostream or use a computer to transfer photo's from and to devices.
