Please please, i have always bought sony and i absolutely adore your touch in the apps you put to beautifully plate the stock android.
What's missing in the album application is
1) the ability to create customized albums in which you'd put pictures of, let's say a specific event.
This is possible only via globe and faces feature :-(
2) if you could add the ability to rename a photo captured right from the album application instead of having to go all the way deep into the file manager, that'd be swell

Working on iPad2, I can create new albums from digital camera imports in Photos; however, when the album is automatically imported into iPhoto, it has lost its custom photo or ding and replaced it with a chronological order. How do I reorder them?

This is normal and is how Apple handles photos.
There are NOT duplicate photos.
Just as a song is in your itunes library and you can access that exact same song from a playlist, all photos synced to iphone are in the photo library and those exact same photos (NOT duplicates) can be accessed from the individual albums.
It is working exactly as it should.

Unable to delete photo from custom albums.

Hello, I am new to ios programming.

Now I want to provide a facility to delete images from the custom album from my app. I tried using the code given below:

OK. Could you be more SPECIFIC and add some details. WHERE is the tab you mentioned?
I have the same problem mentioned above and have tried several different approaches, all to no avail. I can select the photos in in Collections and Moments, but the trash can icon turns grey and I cannot DO anything with them after I select them, other than share them with something/someone else.

I created an album in iPhoto 11 and I have placed photos in a certain order for her graduation party slideshow. I want to place that album or photos on a thumbdrive, but when I do I lose the order I placed them in the folder.

Each time I try to export them that are placed in original folder names and descriptions need help.

This is a two part process. First we title the photos, then we export them, using the title as filename.
To title them
Once you have then in the order you want select them all and go
Photos -> Batch Change. Select set 'Title' to 'Text'
Choose a Title -> Graduation 2013 or whatever, then check the box at 'Append number to each photo.
Now, in the Album all your photos are named... Graduation 001, 002, 003 etc
Next Export them:
File -> Export, and in the Name option, choose 'Title as Filename' and complete the export.

We want to be able to display informational messages on the logon page before the user logs in. Currently we make changes to several ASP files in EP5 to display the messages. We want to be able to give privileged users the ability to enter the message, enter start/end date, etc. We want to do this in EP6 as well.

You need to create them on your PC first then sync them over. The ability to create them on the iDevice will be included in iOS 5 when its release later in teh year.

Creating photo albums to match My Pictures folder.

I want to put all the photos that I just uploaded from "My Pictures" file on my computer back into those same photo album categories. They were broken down into many different folders within "My Pictures". How can I easily create all of these photo albums without creating each album separately and moving each indivdual photo into each album?

the Folder Location view of the PSE Organizer shows the thumbnails of the photos within their folder structure. So potentially it is a method to select all the photos in a specific folder and then make a PSE Album of those specific selected photos. (You still need to do each folder => album separately but you do not need to do photo files individually.)
Consideration 1:
However, there is a consideration that this folder location view has bugs which sometimes displays the folder contents incorrectly. You can minimize the odds of experiencing this bug happening to you by starting the Photoshop Elements Organizer immediately before you do this process of making your Albums. (however that is not a guarantee)
Consideration 2:
Many people who do organization based on folder contents have duplicate copies of the same photo file in multiple folders. The PSE Organizer does not import these duplicate photo files from folders imported after the first one containing that specific photo file. I recommend that you think about whether you have this situation: if you do, then additional analysis and action would be required.
Consideration 3: Do all of your photo files have valid date taken metadata (like the date entered in the photo file by the camera) ? What is the sequence of the photo files within a folder of your existing folder structure - for example have you renamed photo files in order to give them as specific sequence within a folder ?
Note: If you have additional questions about this process, I recommend that you identify which version of PSE you are running and which Windows operating system level. These version levels might not make a specific difference - but it will be better for any responders to your question to know specifically which versions you have.

As the title suggests, does anyone know how to create Custom Content Types in Adobe Livecycle Content Services ES? I have looked far and wide across the www, and haven't had any luck with a straight forward, easy to follow, tutorial on the subject. I have seen it for Actions and Aspects, but not Content.

Thanks for your response. I've spent the past couple of days trying to get it to work, but I still cannot figure it out.
According to all documentation I have found, I have modified the files I thought were the same as the Alfresco files:
C:\...\jboss\server\all\deploy\contentservices.war\WEB-INF\classes\alfresco\extension
+ .\liveCycleContentModel.xml
Added the <types> tag above the <aspects> tag, and created my type as specified online and also in a book
Then I copied the web-client-config.xml to the extension folder and renamed as web-client-config-custom.xml and added the code to Content Wizards and Action Wizards to display it in the web ui.
Am I missing anything? When I re-package the .war file and redeploy/restart JBOSS, my localhost:8080/contentspace is completely broken. no login in or anything but workspace is still in tact.

I assume you mean in contacts you want to add a custom label, not print a label as FoxFifth suggested!
Todo this click edit on the contact, then click the name of the field you wish to rename (there should be a red circle with a minus beside it)
A list comes up and at the bottom you can click "Add Custom Label" and type in the name.
Please note this doesn't work with Exchange servers

Creating Smart Albums problem

I'm on pg 132 of Aperture 2 Pro training book. I'm stuck at #4 which states "The images matching the search criteria appear in the Browser." They don't for me. The HUD is set up for, Rating (checked) "is greater than or equal to" is selected and set at 5 star as per instructed. After completing and closing HUD as instructed, why are all the images in lesson 2 still showing in the browser instead of just the 5 star for this Smart Album? Maybe I'm missing the point but according to what they state as I repeated above this seems incorrect.
So far I'm not too impressed with the way this book is written. On the same page of Creating Smart Albums, #2 states to rename the untitled Smart Album and then press Return. According to the book this would apply the name to the Query HUD, which it didn't. It wasn't until I finally pressed the Magnifying Icon that I could get it to register onto the Query HUD. They left that bit of info out. One of several over looked steps.

The steps you suggested were previously done and yes the smart album was selected. Nothing would work until I clicked on an (x) in the right side of the "Full text search or Limited text search" field just to the right of "match." Once I hit that (x), it disappeared and every thing began to work as expected. Why the (x) was there while nothing appeared in that field is puzzling but I will probably figure it out as I proceed. I did click in that field once in my attempts. That must have froze the operation some how.

Border issue when creating custom text captions

OS: Windows XP, SP3
I seem to be experiencing an issue that I cannot locate an answer too, there are various discussions within the forums related to custom text caption issues but nothing specifc to mine. I hope someone can help.
I am creating custom text captions for a project I am working on and have read & followed the help documentation related to customising text captions though I seem to be presented with issues displaying the border I have created.
Scenario 1
I copied the AdobeBlue1.bmp and associated .FCM from the Captions folder, created my own image based on the size of the .bmp and renamed the .FCM file then placed the 2 files into the Captions folder. Unfortunately the border on my custom image is not showing, all I see is the black background.
Scenario 2
I copied the AdobeBlue1.bmp and associated .FCM from the Captions folder, edited the image changing the colours of the border (green) and background (white) and renamed the .FCM file then placed the 2 files into the Captions folder. Unfortunately the border on my custom image is still not showing, all I see this time is the white background.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening and if there are any ways of controlling the border of the text captions within the Captivate UI? There are various output options when saving the .bmp as I am working in GIMP but I have chosen all of them and this still does not affect the border in anyway, I just cannot see it. Help please!

Hi Rick
GIMP has various options for saving as bitmap and I needed to save as Windows 24 bit bitmap (default 32 in GIMP). I did as you mentioned and created in a new project and repeated the steps appropriately and that seems to be working great now! Thanks for your help on this one, though it's very pernickity (fiddly)!!!!
P.S. Formatting in text captions when using variables is a nightmare!!!! Raising on another post though.

Why isn't there an app to create photo albums directly on an iPhone?

The ability to create photo albums directly on the iPhone seems to be so obvious that I can only assume that the SDK doesn't allow for it, otherwise it'd be done. Am I missing something? Is it that a sync to the iTunes would break because the directory structure for the create-on-the-phone albums wont exist at the time of sync?
Anyway, if ever there was low-hanging fruit, this is it. I've accumulated 600+ photos since '07, even after routine purges of cruft.

iTunes doesn't handle the import of photos from a digital camera including from the iPhone's Camera Roll, which this would involve along with creating the albums or folders on your computer for the albums created on the iPhone from the iPhone's Camera Roll.
The Camera Roll is for temporary storage as with any other digital camera and photos/videos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. Although photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll are included with the iPhone's backup, it isn't a good idea to depend on your iPhone alone for this which can be lost or stolen, or on your iPhone's backup which includes a significant amount of other data in the event a problem develops with the backup.
Since photos/videos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera, you can create albums/folders for select photos on your computer to include photos imported from your iPhone's Camera Roll and for other photos on your computer for transfer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync/transfer process, which is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPhone.

How to create Custom error message in SharePoint 2013
