Renault Laguna Bluetooth Navigation System

Does anyone have any experience of the following:-
I've a new Renault Laguna with the Bluetooth Navigation System. The phone
(Nokia 6630i)connects OK but the quality is absolute **bleep**. It varies from
distorted to completly unintelligible.
I took it to the local dealer who tried 5 different phones, including another 6310i and other makes, on different
networks all were just as bad. They then tried all the phones on two new yet
to be delivered vehicles, all identical, absolute **bleep** quality. The dealer
emailed support in France who claimed they had not encountered any problems!
Strangely enough another customer (who I was unable to speak to) was trying
to get the cable fitted (presumably had given up on the Bluetooth), I left
with the dealer seemingly unable even to get the correct cable / hands free
kit.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Charles

I would install a new car kit, you can still connect to the car speakers and mute the radio, whatever you do with Renault system you will never be satisfied, the microphones are rubbish nobody can hear you when on motorways. Bin it.

  • Ford Navigation System USB Sync Problem

    Hi
I have a Ford with the factory fitted Ford Navigation system Stereo with the Sat Nav, Bluetooth and USB port. When I connect my iphone 4 to it using the USB cable, it recognises the song, and displays the tracks and folder on the screen and plays the song. The screen shows the time passing on the song, but no audio is heard from the stereo. Its like all the data is being displayed but no audio. Have tested with a iphone 3gs too, and same problem.
Looked through the forum and the ford help pages, but no one has this problem or no solution found. Can anyone help?
The iphone is updated, it will work with the aux jack cable in the iphone, but cant control the iphone with it.

Tony (funny, my name is Tony too),
I literally just leased a new Ford Edge Limited the other day, with MyFord Touch and had the same problem with you with my 3GS iPhone - after some research I figured it out. The reason you aren't hearing sound is because your iphone is paired with Bluetooth and probably set to stream the audio via bluetooth - you can't have it both ways, meaning you can't have both the bluetooth audio streaming and audio through usb at the same time. That's why I have an old first gen ipod touch connected via usb and my iphone just via bluetooth.
You can switch the audio stream from bluetooth to usb on (select myford touch) your iphone when connected to USB if you want though and can still make calls. You just cant have the audio going through both options.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I transfer my iPhone 4S contacts to Lexus RX400 navigation system?

How do I transfer my iPhone 4S contacts to Lexus RX400 navigation system phonebook?
I was able to do it easily with my old Blackberry Bold 9700. Unfortunately, I no longer have that phone and I do not want to enter them one by one since I have about 200 of them.
I now have an iPhone4s and cannot figure out how to do it on it.  Some of the Lexus boards say that it cannot be done since the iPhone is not a real business phone.
    Can anyone help?
The iPhone4s has been successfully paired with the car via bluetooth.  It says that it is ready to accept the transfer of data but I cannot determine how to transmit the data from the iPhone.  With the Blackberry, I just seelected the Bluetooth connection, the paired device and there was a Transmit option but the iPhone does not seem to have that.
    Thanks.

I would sign out again, then update your Mac (latest version, not 10.7.3 as shown in your signature), open "Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars" and then choose iCloud and sign in again. I would also do the same on your iOS device (sign out and in). Make sure to confirm the message when you will be asked to merge the contacts with iCloud.

  • Importing contacts to 2012 Nissan navigation system

I am attempting to import my contacts from iPhone 4s to navigation system on 2012 Nissan murano. I was told it could be done via Bluetooth or USB and up to 1,000 entries. Can't find anything on Internet that has info on 2012 or successful sync.

Thanks again, I did check their forums and several  have posted; Nissan is just not that savvy and all the answers left with - " sorry, you'll have to do it manually, one-by-one...". people complained enough that you would think they would fix it in the 2012 model.  The salesman was so sure it would work. I will return to them and see if I can talk to someone who knows.
Thanks again so much for the help. If I do get an answer, I'll be sure and post here ( unless you have better place).

  • Nokia N8 - Renault Radiosat Bluetooth

I have my Nokia N8 paired with my Renault Radiosat Bluetooth Handsfree Kit, built into my car.
The problem is that the phone is randomly disconnecting and reconnecting again. Could someone please tell me why this is happening and how I can solve this issue? My previous Sony Ericsson which was years old had never experienced this sort of issue.
    From the Renault website:
Why does my telephone disconnect and reconnect itself to the system from time to time when I am driving my vehicle?
Some telephones have standby or energy-saving functions that operate in Bluetooth mode. These functions may cause inadvertent disconnection when used with the multimedia system. For optimum and safe use of the multimedia system we advise you to deactivate these functions. For details on how to do this, please refer to the instructions manual for your telephone.
So, I suppose my question is how do I disable 'Standby' or 'Energy-Saving' mode on the Nokia N8?
    Many thanks!!

I also have disconnections problem but I've found workaround.
If you play music via bluetooth for reasonable time 5-10 min and then change to radio, phone stops disconnecting.
It's not very useful as some time I prefer to listen radio.
Another way is much better - when phone is connected (about 1 min for me) go to
Phone->Manage phonebook->Mobile phonebook->Add contact (sorry, I don't remember exactly menu items but you can guess)
You get note that radio is waiting for contact to be sent via bluetooth. Do nothing for 5-10 sec and click "QUIT". The message telling that phone is connected blinks on the screen and you are done. Using controls on the steering wheel this procedure is quick and not very bothering. Also, radio does what it does during this operation.
For me bluetooth connection stays on till radio is off and on again.
Hope this will help until somebody find the fix.

  • HP IPAQ NAVIGATION SYSTEM is it compatible with No...

Hey all, i've recently managed to get a good deal for the HP IPAQ Navigation System (GPS Receiver), but Im not sure if it will work with my Nokia E51. On top of that, Mapking is included but i can't seem to install mapking since it states that I need Windows CE which obviously the E51 doesn't run on it. I need some advice on this.

If the HP GPS receiver works like a regular Bluetooth GPS receiver, then you can most likely use it with Nokia Maps or other software that can use a an external Bluetooth GPS receiver (TomTom, Navicore, Wayfinder, Route66, Google Maps, etc.).
If the Maping is for Windows CE (Windows Mobile), then it is useless to you unless you also have a Windows Mobile based device which to run it on.

  • Iphone 4s will not reply to text with 2013 Honda Civic navigation system

I just purchased a 2013 Honda Civic with the navigation system. I currently have an iphone 4s. I have synced the phone to the system and all works well. The iss ue is with replying to a text message that comes through on the display window ( while driving you can only have system read message and view it when you are in park. This is the way the function works.
After hearing the text read back to me, there is an option to reply ( while driving you can only use a few preprogram commands, like " I am driving right now" etc
Under the highlighted box "READ" is the box "REPLY" but it never becomes highlighted in order to reply.
Does anyone know if either ( apple, Honda or navigation system has a fix / software to be downloaded in order to have the "REPLY" function work?
Would be interested to know if anyone has run into this issue with the iphone or is there a phone that does work.
Another thought, I wonder if it is a phone provider issue ( ATT / Verizon   etc...)
    Thanks

  • I am having major issues with links in keynote! Even though the links (a navigation system) are on the master page, they are only working on some of my slides. Anyone have ideas on how to fix this or similar issues? Help!

I am having major issues with links in keynote! Even though the links (a navigation system) are on the master page, they are only working on some of my slides. Anyone have ideas on how to fix this or similar issues? Help!
I have created a navigation system on the master pages and set the presentation to links only mode. I also have other links scattered throughout the program, like a linkable table of contents, etc. Some of them work, some of them don't. Not sure why. Anyone out there having similar issues? Or have any idea on how I can solve this issue? Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks!

Links should not create any problems in Keynote.  If they are set up correctly on text, the text will be underlined. Objects that have links will have a curved arrow bottom right, if you click the arrow a popup will display the link information.
Try this repair for Keynote,  ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:

delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote, using Appcleaner from Mac Update, its a freeware application

empty the trash:  Finder > Empty Trash

Shut down your Mac, wait 30 seconds, then power on the Mac, immediately after the start chime, hold down the Shift key
When you see the grey Apple symbol and progress indicator (a spinning gear), release the Shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, then hold down the Shift key again as you click Log in.
    4
Let the Mac fully boot up, it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive

when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive then First Aid tab and click  repair disc permissions

when complete, restart the Mac normally, Apple menu > Restart

install Keynote from the Mac App Store
let us know if this helped

Tried Garmin XT once, only for a few minutes and never while in a car (only when walking). It worked and seemed to be an ok alternative to, although in my opinion not as good as, Nokia Maps.

  • IPod and Chrysler MyGig Entertainment/Navigation System

Has anyone had any success using an iPod with Chrysler's new MyGig entertainment/navigation system? If I connect the iPod video to the unit's USB port with a normal iPod USB cable, the system says it is an unrecognized device. If I connect via a mini stereo cable from the iPod headphone jack to the unit's Aux input, it plays, but at a substantially reduced (barely audible) volume.

After doing a "google" for mygig compatible formats, I'm afraid you're out of luck. Apparently the compatible formats for this unit are mp3 & WMA, the store sells songs in either protected AAC or purchased AAC format ONLY.

is it a way to use bluetooth voice system in my volvo s80 with iPhone ?
Volvo system can not see iPhone, like my old phone.

It's a pretty good idea - why not send a suggestion here:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/appletv.html
....especially as AppleTV has no analogue audio out, and most non-Bluetooth wireless headphones would expect an analogue input (there are some expensive ones that handle optical, or the user coudl maybe use TV headphone/audio out, but Bluetooth audio might be handy for many.

Hi Scott! Are you using the rear speakers as subwoofer? If yes, you can adjust the Rear Bass Enhancer (page 34 of the manual).
