Render difficulty

HI all
I am having trouble with rendering a short HDV clip of 6 min, I rendered a shorter clip of 2 min OK but not 6 min or more.
FCP Studio 2.0 fully updated.
Frame size 1440 X 1080
compressor type HDV 1080i
Video processing render all YUV material in high precision.
I tried rendering in 8-bit YUV and got the error as well.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Sigi

I forgot to write, I get a (general error) after 1% of completion, I have just started to work with HDV, but I have been working with FCP for years.
I appreciate any input

  • Motion menu difficulty

    Is anyone else having difficulty using the motion menus? I am using a menu with a motion background and audio background as well as using 8 video buttons motion video. This is something I have done a thousand times in Encore 1.5 but when I go to render it gets stuck and does not respond , I have tried not using the motion buttons and using the background only to no avail. When I preview without rendering everything shows up fine. I installed 2.0 without uninstalling 1.5

    Just to keep anyone updated who is having a similar problem. It is either my installation or this is a bug in the program as I have created another project (this time smaller) with a different motion background video & audio along with two motion video buttons along with different files for those as well, just as before the program hangs\crashes at a certain point when rendering using the "animate buttons" check. As before I created the same exact project in 1.5 again with no problems.

  • Lightroom 5 Slideshow doesn't render on MacBookPro?

    I have a MacBookPro 2,2 laptop and can use most other modules without difficulty, but when I try to create a slideshow, the program starts to render the first slide and then stops, leaving me with a black screen.

    I was using the trial version, which recently ran out. Loved the software, so a couple of hours ago I purchased a standard license via download from Amazon.
    Amazon sent me what appears to be a valid license key (6 groups of 4 digits). But Lightroom will not accept the key, with the exact same error message as you in your post.
    I've sent Amazon an email message. Meanwhile, I have phoned Adobe Support...and I have been on hold for over an hour, without being able to speak to a live support agent. Your phone sucks, Adobe.
    I wonder if something's gone wrong with their licensing/validation system.

  • Error "cannot open render.mov"

    Hi
    In FCP, Im trying to fix up some audio. Sent the clip to Soundtrack pro (STP) but STP says error "cannot open render.mov"
    any suggestions?
    I also tried opening the file directly - eg "open in editor"didn't work
    also tried changing the extension to ".wav" which didn't work either.

    Hi
    I've got the same difficulty sending clips to Soundtrack Pro in Final Cut Studio 3. This evening, I found a turnaround that works (at least in my case), but that do not explain whether it is a bug or not.
    I observed that when I send a clip to STP, two files are created :
    • one looks like a STP package file and contains two small files (among them a render.mov that can be read by QT, showing that it is a sound file)
    • the other has the same name but truncated (only the first 18 letters) and is a video clip.
    I put this last video clip inside the STP package, and then it worked : this new package file opens in STP correctly, I can edit the sound tracks, and when I save the file in STP, all changes are made in FCP.
    Can you reproduce this on your systems ?

  • What is the quickest way to render video full screen?

    In my application I am capturing video from a frame grabber at 640x512 resolution. I need to render output to a full screen window with adjustable scaling, and I need this to run at 60Hz.
    At the moment I am rendering the video using IMAQ WindDraw, unfortunately it isn’t fast enough when rendering full screen. Drawing to a 640x512 window it manages 60Hz. To get “full screen” output I scale the image by a factor of 2 and draw it to the middle of a 1920x1080 borderless window, matching the screen resolution. In this mode the frame rate drops to roughly 30Hz. (I have verified that it is the rendering not the scaling which is slow.)
    I can see three options for increasing the speed:
    1. Accelerate the WindDraw function.
    (new drivers? faster graphics card? I don’t understand why the drawing process is so slow.)
    2. Use a 2D surface in the 3D Picture function.
    (I know this uses hardware acceleration I feel it should be quick, but I don’t have evidence and I am having difficulty getting the picture camera setup to avoid distortion.)
    3. Use activeX to interface to an external software renderer.
    (I know this could work but I have no experience using activeX or interfacing with external programs from Labview, so it is very daunting!)
    Does anyone have advice? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Luke

    Christian,
    I have created a demo .vi which includes a simplification of the back-end of
    my application. I have made this demo so that it can render a dummy video
    sequence using 3 different methods; IMAQ WindDraw, a 2D picture and a 3D
    Picture. You can run it and swap in real time between the rendering modes and
    it reports the framerate. You can turn 2x scaling on and off to see the large
    effect this has on speed. (I have found drawing the 2x scaled IMAQ to a full
    screen window is slightly slower still than the 2x mode in this .vi.) After you
    switch modes bring the appropriate window to the foreground in order to get the
    proper rendering speed.
    Using bits from a few examples scattered around the forum, I have put
    together a 3D picture video renderer. This was not very difficult but
    unfortunately it is very slow. Playing around a bit, I think it is passing the
    texture to the object which is slow, not the rendering. I wonder whether
    anything can be done to improve it. (I also tried it on a laptop with an ATI
    Radeon graphics accelerator, it was slightly faster, ~10Hz and the frame rate
    was not affected at all by the window size, which I think slows the rendering
    is not the bottleneck in that case.)
    In my full application I have to do about 7ms worth of image processing
    before the data is ready to display. So whilst this demo .vi gets about 59Hz with a
    2x zoom on the image, in the real application I get less than 30 Hz!
    I hope you can make some sense of this, please let me know if you have any
    questions.
    These are the speeds I got on my Lab machine:
    Core 2 Duo 2.6GHz
    3GB RAM
    Video Hardware:
    Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family
    IMAQ
    1x - 170Hz
    2x - 59Hz
    2D Picture
    1x - 40Hz
    2x - 18Hz
    3D Picture
    1x - 6Hz
    2x - 3Hz
    Thanks,
    Luke

  • Dynamically re-render cells with event in another cell

    Dear all,
    I have a JTable that uses the default cellrenderer, it has two checkboxes, one of which disables the entire row, except for itself, so the row can be re-enabled.
    However, I want to be able to color in the row Color.GRAY or some other suitable color. I started to create my own cell renderers for the different object types in my rows, when I realised that I had no idea how to re-render any cell in a row, once ive checked the 'disable row' cell...
    there should be a way to fire this right? Also, in creating my own cell renderers, im having difficulty making them do the same thing as the normal cell renderers, apart from change color, is there any source code for the Boolean and Number cell renderers that comes with the java?

    yourTableModel.fireTabelCellUpdated(row, other_column)
    // the renderer of other_column changes color now
    then disable the row.

  • Particles pixelated on render in Motion 5

    I have a few particle generators going on in this video. One of them is Crazy Weightless Sparks. The rest are fine, but that one looks very pixelated upon export. It looked fine in the preview, although my computer has difficulty viewing that part in Motion. The resolution is 1080p. I do switch the resolution to quarter while I'm working but I switched it back before rendering. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

    If you're exporting as PR4444 (which is default) - premultiply alpha should be set, otherwise, you can have that option turned off. Setting render quality to Best also helps. Both of those options can be accessed in the Export dialog under the Render tab (as well as most other options that override canvas settings.)
    ... other than that, I don't know why the export should be pixelating.

  • Render as HTML not seeing b tags

    Hi guys ... I need some emergency help here.  I have several paragraphs of text that is using the scrollBar component to give me some scrollability ... that part works fine.  I also have the "render text as html" box checked because I have some HTML formatting going on.  Anyway, all of a sudden the published SWF file started ignoring the bold tags <b>.  It used to work fine.  Now, anywhere that I have text surrounded by <b> HTML tags, it just omits that portion of my copy once the file is published.  When I change the tags to <strong>, the text comes back, but in a normal font ... not bolded.
    I've tried it both ways ... both with the fonts embedded and without ... neither makes a difference with this issue.  I've also tried checking and unchecking the "render text as html" box and that doesn't seem to make a difference. Has this bold tag become deprecated?  I'm having difficulty get a font to display as bold.  The code is below.
    var stringWithHTML:String = '<p><b>The Dream Team:</b>  We tap into industry experts to fit the needs of our clients. Our dream team includes media relations gurus who won’t put the phone down, designers who make creativity look easy and branding buffs with ideas that stick.</p><br><p><b>Molly Lynch,</b> Self-Proclaimed Jack of All Trades:  With 10 years of experience in the communications business, Molly held positions at the leading PR firms in the world, including Publicis Worldwide, Ogilvy Public Relations and Weber Shandwick.     aboutUsCopy_txt.htmlText = stringWithHTML;
    Thanks a lot!

    That sounds like the culprit ... I guess I don't know how to do that though.  Right now I have the following font options embedded:
    Uppercase [A..Z]
    Lowercase [a..z]
    Numerals [0..9]
    Punctuation [!@#%]
    I don't see how to embed the bold versions ...
    I tried going into the library and using "New Font" to embed the font in the library ... there you do have an option to select "Bold" ... it didn't work. I'm really scratching my head over here ...

  • Could not render the database. Not enough memory.

    This seems to be a big bug in Fireworks CS4. I am building a 10 page website. I only had the opportunity to insert about 10 high quality images into the project, and then tried saving the project as a Fireworks PNG. It appeared to Save successfully, however from that point on, any object I would click on, any layer I would select a message would appear.
    "Could not render the database. Not enough memory."
    Has anyone seen this before? How can I fix this?
    I tried doing a workaround. I tried opening the saved file from Fireworks CS3. Before opening, it displays a message about insufficient permission in the registry. I click OK, and it opens in CS3. I can finally edit the project and make changes, and save it without problems. However, even after saving in CS3, I cannot open it in CS4 without getting the error message. It is not only on my machine. I send my project to others to see if they can open it via CS4, and they can't either. They get the same message.
    I attached the PNG file, this is for a school project.
    Any help is most appreciated.

    I'm relieved to hear that. So I trust that your images are all nice and small, file-size-wise.
    Okay! I trust you have already defragged your hard drive and turned off all those nasty TSRs that eat up your RAM. Fileswapping is usually what slows my computer down.
    Check for scripts that might be running wild in the background. Can't think what they might be, but if something is looping and shouldn't be, you'll end up with less free RAM to move around in.
    I haven't noticed the problem with lots of layers, but I haven't been watching, either. Have you experimented with turning off the layers that you are not actually exporting? I understand the  convenience in keeping all those layers in there...it's a big timesaver in editing throughout a project. If all the layers are not needed in the image export, however, turn them off temporarily. That might save some elbow room.
    It sounds as if your system fits the basics, but you might check:

    1,024x768 display (1,280x800 recommended) with 16-bit video card
    DVD-ROM drive
    Broadband Internet connection required for online services*
    Mac OS
    PowerPC® G5 or multicore Intel® processor
    Mac OS X v10.4.11–10.5.4

    1GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on flash-based storage devices)

    Rather than jumping to think it's a bug, try a test with 9 layers, or 8 layers. If only 10 layers and up provide problems, file a bug/feature report or contact someone in support.
    As this is a user forum, we (other users) neither speak for Adobe nor know everything about the applications from a support viewpoint, so while we're always willing to offer opinions and frequently solutions, real bugs are not in our bailiwick.
    Perhaps someone with a multi-layer difficulty can chime in here.

  • Extremly bad previews and render times.

    i have been working on a video in AE CS6 for a couple of days now but something changed after i added a 3D Solid layer with render set to ray-traced 3d, and now i can barely see my project in the compositon window as it gets
    extremly pixelated. whith extreme difficulty i managed to complete the project but when i started the render of the viedo it gave me an estimated render time of 104 hrs for just one 3d layer that is only present in the
    video for about 5 seconds out of the 4min long viedo. unfortunatly i cant enable GPU Ray-tracing because it says its not complatible even after i updated my drivers.
    Specs
    Gpu: AMD HD-7870
    Cpu: A10-5800K (APU)
    RAM: 8 gb

    That GPU is not one that After Effects will use for PGU acceleration of the ray-traced 3D renderer.
    The ray-traced 3D renderer is quite slow when it is just running on the CPU.

  • How can I render an active link (yrl) within a UIX/XML page

    How can I render an active link (url) within a UIX/XML page.
    How can I get <jbo:ShowValue> to work in UIX/XML, or is there another way?
    Bill G...

    It may seem strange, but the <contents> of <rawText> aren't actually
    raw - it's only the "text" attribute that's raw. (It seems strange because
    it is. Ah well.) This is different from UIX JSP.
    So, try something like the following:
    <bc4j:attrScope name="Notes">
    <contents>
    <rawText text="&lt;a href=&quot;"/>
    <rawText>
    <boundAttribute name="text">
    <bc4j:attrProperty name="value"/>
    </boundAttribute>
    </rawText text="&quot;&gt;"/>
    Some text in the link.
    <rawText text="&lt;/a&gt;"/>
    </contents>
    <bc4j:attrScope>
    Thankfully, this will be much simpler in 9.0.3, when the following
    will work:
    <link text="Whatever you want">
    <boundAttribute name="destination">
    <bc4j:attrValue name="Notes"/>
    </boundAttribute>
    </link>

  • Unable to render video in PSCS4 - Error Messages- QT DLL Issue??

    I started this thread in the Adobe Forums for PhotshopCS4, but the consensus there was that my issue is a QuickTime issue, perhaps with a DLL and iTunes. I have included a few of those suggestions at the end of the post. I have tried uninstalling QT Pro, cleaning and reinstalling with no improvement. I have not removed iTunes and reinstalled.
    `````````````````
    I am unable to render video it seems in Photoshop CS4 Extended. Despite having the latest QuickTime Pro installed and all updates to Vista 32 bit and to CS4 Design Premium, I get the following error message:
    "The procedure entry point CFCreateApplicationRepositoryPath could not be located in the data link library CoreFoundation.dll"
    This happens when, for example, I load 100 medium resolution JPEGs as an image sequence and choose File >Export > Render Video.
    If I OK through the error a couple of times I get a screen with output options, but usually some are greyed out. When I CAN put in QuickTime settings and choose export I get the following error:
    "Could not complete the Render Video Command because of a program error."
    When I have opened a support case with Adobe it has regularly been closed after being told to get QuickTime 7.2 or higher. GGGrrrr. I have QT 7.6.5 Pro installed.
    Any help much appreciated....I do have Premiere Elements 7 installed as well FYI.
    Was your QT properly installed with correct privileges? As Mr. Cox said, it seems there is an issue with your QT install. also, in the QT system control panle, enable the Allow Encoding using Legacy CoDecs option. this often fixes the weirdest issues (as it also catches a number of other legacy calls to QT components)...
    Thanks guys- the QT install SEEMS fine....? I will try allowing legacy CODECs and if that doesnt ehlp I will totally uninstall QT Pro, clean the registry, reboot and install QT from the top. Will let you know how I get on with this.
    Phil
    I have enabled using legacy CODECs and restarted, same error message.
    I have completely uninstalled QuickTime(Pro), run CCleaner to clear files and the registry...I have then rebooted, reinstalled Quicktime(Pro) 7.6.5, rebooted. I get the very same error message at that time.
    Any further suggestions appreciated.
    All the google searches point directly at Apple like Chris pointed out. I noticed that there were a lot of Apple product hits but the most standing out was itunes. Did you happen to install itunes software (or some other Apple product) and maybe itunes over-wrote the .DLL? Other then that thought I don't have any other input.
    I agree this is an issue with an Apple DLL. The error you're getting suggests that the wrong version of the DLL is being used. It means that the thing that is rendering the video is expecting the CoreFoundation DLL to have a particular function called CFCreateRepositoryPath but it's not there.
    What could be happening is that there are multiple instances of this DLL on the computer and the PATH is leading to the wrong one.
    You might search your entire hard-drive and find where the CoreFoundation DLL exists and what version each is. If there is only one version, then perhaps your version of QuickTime is actually too new. Photoshop 11.0.1 came out a long time ago, and the version of QuickTime referred to in the support-ticket-closure response is also pretty old, so maybe the newest QuickTime is using a newer version of the DLL that Photoshop knows how to deal with.
    Searching my system for CoreFoundation. there is one smaller version of the DLL in Apple Application Support dated in November and then several larger ones in directories dealing with mobile phones like the iPhone, which I don't have one of, dated a few months earlier.
    I'm guessing the iPhone stuff came with iTunes, which I do have installed, though I don't really use it.
    Thanks for looking, really hoping for some help here.
    "The procedure entry point CFCreateApplicationRepositoryPath could not be located in the data link library CoreFoundation.dll"
    Thanks for all the detailed information, pw. It's very helpful.
    Okay, the most recent versions of QuickTime require a fully functional Apple Application Support in order to run properly. You're getting a problem with one of the Apple Application Support dlls. So the best thing to do first would be to uninstall both Apple Application Support and QuickTime, and then reinstalling QuickTime (which should reinstall a fresh version of Apple Application Support).
    There's 7/Vista 32-bit instructions for doing that in the following post:
