Render issues with text

I have made a short 1 min movie, and have rendered it. I want to download to youtube, but when I try to export using quicktime conversion, it shows render issues wherever I have text. Once I get cancel out, it shows no render problems.
When I remove the text, the render problem still remains. I can export with quicktime, but not sure youtube will allow this to be downloaded.

Please define: "render issues" and also the phrase "Once I get cancel out"

Issues with text on different OS

Hi,
On the "credits" section of my site,
www.danielwaltermusic.com, I am having an issue with text appearing
differently on OSX vs Windows. On OSX the text appears normally,
with the links located exactly where they are supposed to be. On
Windows XP and Ubuntu 2.22.3 (only systems I've been able to check
it on) the links are located improperly like so:

great. My web designer is not using dynamic text so that is not the
issue.
Also, if someone could help us figure out how to get the web

I try not to use Iphoto, although it does sometimes kick in before i can cancel it. Normally, i copy the records from the card to the Imac hard drive.
I'm assuming the CF card may have been formatted by a previous windows machine at some point. Is this likely to be an issue?

My wife and I are on different networks ie GCI vs AT&T after we both updated our iphones to 6.1 we no longer can receive texts messaging even though both are phones say the message was delivered. we can however text with other iphone users as long they are withing the same carrier and with everyone as long as they are not other iphones regardless of the carrier as well as with other iphon users that are still using 6.0. My wife and I also have ipads with wifi only and the one we updated to 6.1 is having the same issue while the one that is still 6.0 has no issue and will send and receive messages with out issue even to and from the 6.1 devives that are having issues. I have contacted both service providers and was told it is a Apple messaging issue. At this point I just would like to find and reinstal the 6.

BW 3.5, BEx Query designer issue with text of the characteristics

Hi All,
We are currently using BEx 3.5 Query Designer to design the queries. We have one of the ODS on which we are querying for.
We have 3 different types of Customer in this ODS. 0Customer, 0BBP_CUSTOMER and 0GN_CUSTOMER. The problem is when we open this ODS in Query designer we see their text name on the left hand side column where it shows data fields as the same text name Customer.
Now the our Power users have raised the issue that it is very confusing even when there are 3 different technical names for these characteristics.
2 Questions I have.
1) Why is something like this happening? is it some issue with the Patch or something. We will be migrating to new BI soon but in the mean time if I could resolve it that will be the best. Or does it even get resolved with new BI???
2) what is the way in which we can resolve it?

Things like this happen, when it is called customer it could be different customers, 0customer is the standard R/3 customer and 0BBP_customer is objects from CRM and most likely 0GN_Customer might be customer from different system.
Sure, power users should be told which customer is customer and you could also change the discription of the object, to match the definition on the other system. You could also just create z object and replace the existing confusing object with something meaningful to users.

IS there a way to fix the issue with text list boxes where they shift (empty space is smaller than the text size) when two text lsit boxes are side by side?

Currently I have a webpage I designed for a company where I have multiple text list boxes side by side for the purpose of displaying data in each one based on a category in the database. So a text list box for the primary key, name, serial number, etc. I have to use Firefox as it typically works best for printing and functionality for the page. The single issue we are having is that in Firefox if the field is null as far as text the text are shrinks meaning all the data in that list box shifts up and is no longer in line with its congruent data in the other text list boxes. In other browsers that's not a problem and everything stays lined up regardless of whether there's text in the box or not.
Unfortunately I cannot provide a link but if contacted I will provide screen shots.

Fatal Issues with Text in Adobe Illustrator CC 17.1

I am having serious issues with my AI file today. Whenever I select a text box, I get the error "Can't edit the type" if I try to modify the text. Then it just pastes gibberish into the text box. A work-around I was able to figure out it to select all of the text by type (point for example), and then convert it to the other type (area) and back to the original (point). This messes up all of the text box spacing that I have in my document, but it allows me to edit text without the crazy errors I was having before.

Render issues with footage from Color

I'll start off by noting that this issue only happens running Snow Leopard.
I am having terrible problems when trying to apply and render some effects on footage which has come from Color…specifically, the Bad Film filter. Either at the render completion or during the render, I'll get all sorts of "screen draw" problems, like green and pink pixels everywhere. Sometimes they will only appear in the Canvas window, but if I launch any other app, the new app's is nothing but the screen error and the app is useless, thought I think it still functions, though useless to the point that I'm only left with having to restart. Occasionally, it'll throw that error telling me I must restart (in several different languages). I have occasionally had success with very short clips, but anything much more than 30 seconds is useless. I would think this is a hardware issue; however, it only happens under Snow Leopard and is not an issue with Leopard.
I have performed a clean install from a zeroed disk with both 10.5 and 10.6 and upgraded to the latest point release. I'm not really sure where to go from here. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I have the early 2008 8-core 2.8GHz Mac Pro with 16Gigs of RAM and two monitors connected to the ATI HD 2600 XT. I've also tried rebooting to just one monitor, but no dice. I've run hardware tests from TechTools that came with my ACD's AppleCare and all appears rosy. Real Time effects seem to work just fine and I don't have issues with all effects that require rendering. Most befuddling, I'm having no issue on clips that have not first gone through Color. Strange, huh?

Sorry about that.... The footage is ProRes422 1440x1080 going into Color and ProRes422 1920x1080 coming out. I've tried exporting at 8-bit Uncompressed out of Color with the same results.

I'm still just not sure why this only happens in Snow Leopard, while everything works peachy in Leopard, though I think you may be on the right track with this being an FxPlug filter. I know I would occasionally get messages stating, basiclly, "Your GFX card is a wimp, these filters won't work" when trying 10-bit sequences under Leopard, thus I tried the 8-bit setting with this issue and all without any luck. I'll will try "Light Rays" and "Bloom" this evening to see if I get the same result.
To make this stranger still, Bad TV seems to render just fine, as far as I can recall, only Bad Film give me problems. I suppose this particular filter may not be compatible with my configuration. Perhaps, I shoud be getting that message instead of a crash.

Render issues with multi-task

I have this issue with render.
for example, i load up my projects and render it, if i run into editing problems cus i forget how to do things ill load up firefox find my solution then go back into FCP and it says i need to render the whole project again.
anyone else run into this or know a fix?

Issue with 'text box' in rtf sub template for peoplesoft XMLP

i have a weired problem using 'text Box' in a sub template. I am calling a sub template from my template. It works fine when i remove the text box from my sub template. I tried to put the text box directly in the main template and it worked fine !! it is erroring out only when i use the text box in sub template !!

i got the below error when i tried to 'preview' the report from my report definition.

Help Needed re:Spry Tooltip and render issue with XP

I have an issue with spry tooltip and XP not sure why ?
Here it is I am designing/building a website for a restaurant, I am making use of the spry tooltip on the menu page as a rollover for a larger menu image to appear, which it does. Everything is cool in Vista etc. but if you are using XP for some reason the rollover effect only works once and then no more until the page is refreshed which is really annoying and certainly not the effect i am looking for. I know this is occuring because of this line of code :-
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7"> which I need to keep in.
Does ANYONE know a quick fix ? or ran into this problem before ?
I am sure the attached .JS file is the key to fix.

This is one of those situations you may need to see to believe,
whats happening is only on an XP IE8 browser which the ******** client is looking at (what are the odds)?
On newer systems and other browsers NO problem:-
You bring up the menu page and mouse over spry triggers and it works PERFECTLY, but only ONCE when you try again the cursor flickers as the trigger is engaged and nothing is revealed? I am sure the spry is working but somehow it is being hidden from rendering correctly as if trapped behind another image or on a delay, and then when you mouse off maybe 500ms later the image flickers into view and dissappears almost instantly. (an obvious error of some sort)
This only occurs when I place this source code in the head tags:-

Without code works fine, but I need to include this code for it to look as it should cross browser.

Quality issues with render (especially with text)

I'm having trouble getting my video render to look the same, quality wise, as my view in After Effects.

What render settings do I need to get that text crisp when rendering?

I've tried playback with QT7...same problem.
Text is not 3D.
When I import back, no field interpolation is added...it just looks exactly like it was exported (with fuzzy edges).
I am noticing that the problem seems more prevalent on the text that has some motion to it...so maybe it's some weird ghosting/artifacting thing to make the movement smoother? As far as I can tell, I've disabled anything that'd cause that, but maybe there's some setting that I missing?
Something worth noting...if I export the video as a TIFF or PSD sequence with trillions of colors, the frames are crisp as they should be. The problem is that the sequence then become prohibitively large (12MB+ per frame).

Maddening issue with text... trapping?

I have recently taken over as acting editor for a PDF-only publication with a very small audience. My previous experience with InDesign has been with preparing files for CMYK printing, so this is my first opportunity to prepare a document specifically for on-screen display.
I am using a background image on several pages within the document. However, it would seem that no matter what I do, the resulting PDF does some funny things to the text.
I have trapping turned off throughout the document, all my text is created from the [black] swatch, and I've specified "overprint fill" in the attributes menu just for good measure. However, no matter how I export my PDF, I get one of two issues:
(1) With "convert to destination" selected and a CMYK colorspace as the destination, OR with "no color conversion" selected, I end up with trapped text on pages that have a background image, even though the background image only covers a portion of the page. Pages with no background image display text properly.
(2) with "convert to destination" selected and an RGB colorspace as the destination, I end up with trapped text on pages that have a background image, but only where the background image does NOT appear.
This is confusing because, in each instance, there's no valid reason for InDesign or Acrobat to display a trap. I've tried creating a trap setting with 0pt specified for the trap, and it doesn't help. See http://www.caves.org/grotto/lrg/images/indesign_frustrations.png for a screenshot of the issue.
What on earth is going on? I just want overprinting black text to display as untrapped black text, and none of my export options seem to allow the PDF to appear as it does when I have "overprint preview" selected within InDesign. It's imperative that the text be crisp and legible on-screen, and the bloated, messy trapped-looking text is much more difficult to read at "fit page" -level zooms of less than 100%.
I'm using InDesign CS3 on a Windows machine running Vista 64 with 6MB of RAM. I have not observed any other problems with the CS3 family of products. The font being utilized is Adobe Garamond Pro.

I don't think you are seeing trapping I think you are seeing the results of flattening due to the use of transparency. Some text is either rasterized or converted to outlines. When outlined, text appears heavier because it does not benefit from hinting. You can reduce the use of transparency effects, export to a transparency-savvy version of PDF, or put the text above the transparency issues.
I suggest a combination. Make a layer for the text above other layers and put all the text there that you can without mucking up the layout. Export to Acrobat 5 (PDF 1.4) or higher to avoid flattening.

Any fix for CC render issue with the new MacPro Firepro D700. Getting lines and flicker as documented in threads

We're facing some critical problems with our new MacPros, CC, and the Firepro D700's. It appears that after we upgraded to 10.9.3 the D700's no longer work with Creative Cloud. Our Premiere renders are full of artifacts, lines, and drop out. Same issue as documented in RENDER PROBLEM - AME and Premiere Pro CC causing random horizontal lines on H.264 Renders Can you advise as to when the fix will be pushed? We have turned to "software only" render, which is killing us for time. We have a huge amount of work that goes through 4 edit bays and its putting us days behind.

IOS 8.3 issues with texting to Android Devices

after the 8.3 update, when my wife texts from her Android to my iPhone, or other iPhones, she get double messages and unknown number errors even though we are all in her contacts. Android to Android no issues, and iPhone to iPhone no issue as well. Anyone else seeing this?

I am having the same issue. No problems iPhone to iPhone (mine is updated but my roommate's isn't), but yesterday I updated to 8.3 and my boyfriend updated to Android 5.0.1. We didn't have any problems yesterday after we both updated, but this morning he was getting the invalid number error when he tried to call me, and when he tried to respond to a text that I sent him. I did not have any issues. He discovered that if he went into his address book and started a new text thread with me, it went through fine, but he has to do this every time he wants to reply to me. My mom has an Android which she has not updated recently, and had the same "invalid number" error when texting me, but could call me with no problems. Another co-worker with a non-updated Android didn't have any problems texting me, but she was the only one of the 3 I tested with who did not have a Galaxy. I restarted my phone right after my update yesterday, but tried restarting again just now, just in case, and now he has no problems responding to my texts. He sent me a screenshot of his list of texts, and the text that originally replied with the invalid number error also showed an extra 1 in my phone number (11-972-xxx-xxx) even though his address book shows +1-972-xxx-xxx.
I have an iPhone 5s, my mom and my boyfriend both have a Galaxy S4.
