Render video is crashing media encoder

I have a long video presentation 1hr 7 min, in which I had to remove an rf transmitter with the clone brush.  This is shot on 2 cameras so many layers.  I finished about half the show and sent it to render overnight.  Which it did.  I continued work on the remainder of the show and it is crashing in ME.
Am I demanding too much from ME or is there something else going on.

Probably a damaged source footage file. Could be as trivial as a discontinuous timecode. Try to re-export/ convert the source file. If you used a clip format for rendering, you should try to export an image sequence and then convert it in a second pass.

  • From Photoshop CS6, How do I render multiple files to Media Encoder when editing Video?

    I'm trying to send one version of my video open in PS CS6 to Media Encoder at 1920x1080 then while that renders, I'd like to crop it and render it as 1440x1080.
    Is there a faster way to to this?
    Ideally I'd like to Send it to ME rather than Export right away..seems I can only Epxort and wait. I'd like to continue working while it renders in the background like in AE

    I'm not familiar with how Photoshop uses AME, but I do know that there are several applications other than the primary professional video applications that use it. InDesign, for example, uses it for transcoding movies to be put into folios/magazines created in the digital publishing workflow (for tablets and such).

  • Every time I attempt to render video Premiere crashes

    I'm working on a pretty big project (for me at least) but when I was going to render a sample to send for feedback premiere simply refused and crashed.
    It kept doing this every time I attempted to render an output file including ANY of the video tracks but if I disable them all it renders the audio just fine.
    premie pro cc build 7

    This project is very light on video but includes a lot of images and motion/transition effects
    I had a similair problem last week on a project where I only used one video track and I was able to root out the issue as being a cross dissolve at the very beginning, why it's crashing now though is quite beyond me.
    Unlike the error that plagued me that last time around I am able to render video in alternative formats, at least avi works fine.
    FLV does not work
    Anyone able to help me out with this?

    Not sure what the core issue is (others are reporting similar problems) but if you can render to AVI, then just export a high-quality copy then re-encode to H.264 using Media Encoder (which will chew through very quickly in GPU mode). There won't be any visual difference compared to a direct H.264 encode.

  • Live text template render issue when using Media Encoder?

    I'm running into flash frames with Media Encoder exports of Premiere sequences using the live text templates.
    Unfortunately, AME doesn't flag it as an error, so the render completes without any issues in the render log and the only way to find it is to watch the rendered file.
    I have tried different combinations of having After Effects open or closed, with the live text template comp open or closed; I can't consistently reproduce the problem with any certainty and so am having trouble pinpointing the source.
    My only hypotheses so far are that:
    The glitches seem to be happening in the dynamic link between AME and PP, not AE and PP. The live text will pop back to the duplicated comp's text for one frame. Video playing simultaneously doesn't pop.
    In other words, the AE text template said: "name here". In PP it was edited to say "John Doe", then that comp was duplicated and edited to say "Bob Smith". Everything looks fine in PP. There are no keys on the source text in AE (I have noticed that if there are keys on the source text in AE, the text will pop back to the original AE text at that key in PP).
    When rendered out of AME, halfway through Bob Smith's title, it will read "John Doe" for a single frame, then pop back to being Bob.
    I've only had this happen so far with AME renders. The renders out of PP haven't given me any issues so far.
    It might happen more frequently on longer segments? If a title is up for 45 sec instead of 10 sec, it may be more likely to pop.
    The issue seems to occur more often in batch renders out of AME (happened to 3 of 5 files rendered in a batch, AME 2014.1) and/or with unrelated AE comps open (on a single render from AME 2014.2)
    Again, it doesn't happen every time or to the same title, or in the same spot. Files are being rendered to ProRes 422 HQ. Unchecked "Use Previews" in AME.
    Would be nice to get to the bottom of what's happening so I can recommend something to the editors when I hand off these live text templates to them.
    I realize that the live text is a new feature as of 2014.1, but haven't found anyone else talking about this. Would love if this was a very simple fix that I'm missing.
    I was able to reproduce the error on 2 different machines, with similar specs:

  • Urgent: constant Crash Media encoder, premiere pro CC and CC2014.

    (Sorry by advance, its an Google trad)
    Hello everyone!
    I meet great difficulties with Premier Pro and Media encode CC and CC2014.
    When I want to wire my pending projects that I go through File> Import (or even composition After Premier) or I simply do a drag / drop in Media Encoder .... Half the time it crashes, not charging Dynamic link not or crash Premier pro ..... with CC versions like 2014 .... I have no particular error message. However I have to process the killer Dynamic link, adobe (in general: QT32 server, Adobe ipCbrocker, PProHeadless.exe) via the Windows task manager. If not impossible to reopen the software.
    I also noticed that even when the software does not crash, I close the first or afx or other software will not come out of the process, there is ad infinitum in the active process.
    When I still manage to import my sequences in MediaEncoder, this plant some encodings but not all .... no particular reason and not telling me why he crashed. If it does not crash, it runs in a loop on the same image and I have to stop myself encoding, which never end. Knowing that all my files are part of a series, there has exactly the same things in it in terms of editing, effects etc.. Which by the way is only melted ....
    Rush are my MXF files. And I use the Dynamic Link to import my sequences between Premier Pro and afx. Although it makes me exactly the same problem that I import directly my first or I go through Dynamic Link.
    I'm on:
    Windos Seven PRo 64bit.
    I have a 3.33GHz i7 X980
    Nvidia GTX480 driver 337.88 (the latest what)
    AND 16GB RAm
    My cache is not full, I empty it regularly. It is a hard look at projects and never moves.
    So, if anyone has the same problem or knows a solution, I'm interested.
    It falls at the wrong time, I have 200 to encode videos in one month.
    Thank you in advance.

  • 30 Second Audio Render problem in Adobe Media Encoder?

    I've been trying a few things out to fix this, but no luck.
    Ok, so I export videos with a audio spectrums where audio would be necessary. Now I want to do this all in After Effects without editing the Audio in in Premiere Pro. After Effects does not render in H.264. So I send it Adobe Media Encoder. When I export to AME, the first 30 seconds is mute, without fail. only on AME though. I can export straight through AE with .mov and it works fine. but I don't like doing that with the large filesize. I also did this with WebM. Audio does not export for 30 seconds on AME.
    I like to send everything to AME. So if I have to go to premiere to fix audio I will. so after fixing everything I send it over to AME and let it export. for some reason, it WILL give me audio. Is there something wrong with my settings in AE or AME?
    Everything is CC if that helps any

    OK, give this a shot.

  • Cineware C4D Render Fails in Adobe Media Encoder

    I'm trying to render an After Effects composition using Cineware and a very basic C4D Lite layer.
    It renders fine directly in the AE render queue, but hangs and eventually fails in Adobe Media Encoder.
    The error message is:
    Encoding Failed
    Export Error
    Error compiling movie.
    Unknown error.
    I'm using Windows 7, Adobe Creative Cloud.  I've opened the default TCP port 5030 in Windows Firewall & tried disabling Windows Firewall altogether.  I've tried rendering with both CUDA and software only.  I've cleared my render cache and restarted several times.  I've had no problems rendering in Media Encoder until I try to enable a Cineware layer.  It makes a sheep noise.

    Has anyone successfully rendered Cineware using Windows 7 platform ?
    Is there a particular port I should try besides the default 5030?  And do I need to set this port somewhere in Adobe Media Encoder CC settings or just under the Cineware effects settings?
    There's no reason why this shouldn't at least be documented somewhere.  I'm using a brand new clean vanilla install of Windows 7 and Creative Cloud with Intel Core I7 + NVidia GPU.
    "Unknown Error" to me says some code was sitting in a huge "try/catch" type block with the exception not being handled.

  • Exporting Video with Adobe Media Encoder filled up my OS Drive

    I exported a 2+ hour video queued from Premiere CC 2014 to Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014. I had some dynamically linked files to both AE CC 2014 and AU CC 2014. All my media caches where set to a different drive on my pc. After the export was done, I was left from 42 GB on the OS to 13 GB on the OS drive. Does anyone have a clue of what happened and where those "cached" files might be so I can get rid of them?
    I would greatly appreciate some guidance in this matter.
    Cordially,
    Edwin

    To whom it may concern,
    I have resolved my own problem. I did some minor maintenance on my computer, some file management and got the GB on my OS drive up to 33 GB. I restarted my computer and it booted up with 75.5 GB on the OS drive. It seems to have "flushed" all the previously cashed files from my export. If anyone has a clear idea of how this happened, I would love to know still. If anyone is interested on knowing what I did as "maintenance" I can also share this. Just post a reply to this discussion and I will share.
    Cordially,
    Edwin

  • Encore insists on transcoding a transcoded video file from media encoder

    I've authored a bunch of Blu Ray and SD DVD's in Encore and once in awhile as in right now Encore insists on trnascoding a Blu Ray file that i already transcoded for Encore in Media Encoder on my MacPro which is running CC 7.1.  Anyone have any ideas how to solve this little, but frustrating time consuming issue?
    thx...jw
    MacBook Pro (Mid 2009) 2.8 GHz Core 2 Duo
    Ram 8 GB
    Premier CS6.05
    Encore CS 6.05

    It seems reasonable since Encore is supposedly not affected by CC updates since Adobe considers DVD's dead technology, though I really would like to meet the misguided soul who sold that,concept, that the only program affected would be media encoder.
    That's why I thought I could encode on my cs6 MacPro running Snow Leopard and the encode on mt laptop running cc7.1.  I did a test on my Snow leopard CS6 system in Encore and it worked just like it is supposed to, so that's where I'll do my DVD/BluRay work .
    Though this concept of the cloud and fast updates seems like a great idea, I think what is happening is that those of us "in the trenches" making our living using these programs are now the beta testers for the programs that should have been beta tested before reaching the market.  In Adobe's rush to release they're skipping beta testing.  We're it!
    Red frames in Premier Pro;  direct to Speedgrade crashing; external monitor in Speedgrade not functional on release....just to name a couple I've encountered.  Adobe techs are not the problem it's Adobe management rush to market culture which is causing the problems.
    I really appreciate and admire the Adobe tech staff who are trying to make this work under unconscionable pressure and unreasonable demands by their misguided management team.
    Sorry for the rant.
    Thx....Jim Watt

  • Can I apply and render batch effects in media encoder?

    Hi I'm using Adobe premiere cs6.5 and media encoder. I would like to add an unsharpen mask effect to all my clips and render them out in a batch process in media encoder. Is there a way to do this with out physically handling each individual file?
    Thanks

    Don't think so in CS6.5.
    IN CC2014xx one would apply it to all clips selected/grouped  in the Bin  as a Master Clip Effect... then send those clips to AME

  • Video window in Media Encoder???

    I'm using PP CS4.  When I export my project file to MEDIA ENCODER and hit 'queue' I see no VIDEO WINDOW in the lower-right corner.  When I watch instructional videos in AdobeTV, I see a video monitor window in the lower-right corner.  The file processes ok but I just don't see the video monitor in the corner.  Is there something wrong and how do I fix it?
    Tom

    Jim...
    Right after posted my question I discovered this...thanks for responding.
    While I'm writing, I have one more question if you don't mind.  When you
    export a project file, before the media encoder window appears, Premier Pro
    opens the export settings window.  The basic video settings tap at the lower
    right shows the QUALITY.  Is the default always 4?  If I move it to 5 will
    it make that much difference?
    Thanks very much for your help.

  • Why is render much darker in media encoder

    When I render direct to Media Encoder from After Effects, the results is much darker than the original.
    If, however, I render from After Effects alone then it's faithful to the original.
    Anybody else come across this?
    It's annoying as I'd like to avoid a two stage render process.

    Also, do you have color management enabled for your project in After Effects?

  • Cap 7: project with an .flv video goes to Media Encoder

    I have a Cap 7 project that includes a slide with an .flv video embedded.  When I try to publish as both .swf and HTML5, the Adobe Media Encoder appears.  I have no idea what to do with the encoder, if anything, and the publish process just stalls.  Is the .flv video the issue?   There is a note in the Cap 7 "publish project as HTML5" help that states that .flv files that are created using On2VP6 codec only are supported in the HTML5 output.  Am I missing something?

    FIXED!
    Thanks to some points in this thread, I have solved my problem.
    It was the KNOLL LIGHT FACTORY plug-in.  I removed it, and the Adobe Media Encoder now works on my system.  I assume that DYNAMIC LINKING between the CS4 apps also now works, but have yet to test that.
    This also explains why my CS4 suite works on my MacBook Pro; I never installed KLF on my laptop.
    Now I need to tell RED GIANT SOFTWARE about this problem, and either get a solution from them, or a refund.
    Thanks.  You can add this solution to your collective repertoires in case a future OSX user encounters this exact problem.

  • Streaming Live Video using Flash Media Encoder/Flash Media Streaming Server

    We currently get a video feed from local cable channel that gets streamed live to our internet website. It gets encoded first on our Windows 2003 server running Windows Media Encoder and then gets published on another Windows 2003 server running Windows Media Services. We are trying to replace these two servers with another solution and the two things driving this project are:
    1. These two servers are coming to an end of life cycle so we need to replace the hardware and upgrade the OS.
    2. They currently only support Windows compatible file formats. Just like other organizations out there, iPAD users are popping up and they want to view these video streaming from their iPAD.
    That's why we are looking at Adobe Flash Media Encoder3 and Flash Media Streaming Server 4.5. My questions for the experts out there are:
    1. Can Adobe Flash Media Encoder and Adobe Flash Media Streaming Server can replace our current solution?
    2. Do we need both Flash Media Encoder and Flash Media Streaming Server or can Flash Media Streaming Server also can encode video feed?
    3. Can Flash Media Encoder and Flash Media Streaming Server can run on the same server?
    4. Our Windows Media Services server also has few on-demand publishing points along with a live video streaming. Can above mentioned Adobe products support having live streaming publishing point along with on-demand video publishing points?
    5. Does Adobe Flash Media Encoder only support Flash and Quicktime or does it also support .wmv?
    I called the sales to find the answers to these questions but he basically read the features listed on the Adobe product website and couldn't really answer these questions.
    Any help in find the answers to these questions will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks you.

    FYI - I was able to do it by using the "onFI" handler of the embedded NetStream object.
    myVideo.addEventListener(fl.video.VideoEvent.STATE_CHANGE, onVideoStateChange);
    function onVideoStateChange(evt:fl.video.VideoEvent)
      // trace("State = " + evt.state);
      if ( evt.state == "playing" )
      if (!ns)
      ns = myVideo.getVideoPlayer(evt.vp).netStream;
      ns.client.onFI = onFIHandler;
    function onFIHandler(infoObj:Object):void
      var ts:String = infoObj.st;
      trace("system time: " + ts);
      ExternalInterface.call("updateTimeStamp", ts);
