Renderable text I can't see
I make fillable forms and send them out to be filled in. If people don't fill them in using Acrobat, when they come back I can not see what they wrote. I used to be able to select on my acrobat pro a line that said "render text" or something similar. This would scan the document and the words my clients wrote in the fields would magically appear. I can't find it now. It seems to have disappeared and i used it only three weeks ago. In the past someone at Adobe helped me figure out how to solve my problem by doing this by going into the software and changing things. Now because of this I can't even upload updates.

This has become a problem, particularly for MAC folks who use the MAC preview package. You need to indicate that the form needs to be completed with Acrobat or Reader. Reader XI actually allows the form data to be saved now.

Trying to OCR pdf, pdf says it can't perform bc it already contains renderable text-but does not.
I work for a large agency, and we receive PDF's all the time. 98% of the time I am able to OCR a document with no issues. Just recently I have come across this issue several times, and was wondering if anyone can solve this irritating problem!
*Acrobat 8.1 - When going to OCR the document, I receive the following message " Acrobat could not perform recognition (OCR) on this page because this page already contains renderable text. However, it does not. When you go to select text or search for anything the whole page is selected (like it's still in a "picture" format, not a document format that you can search, ect.)
I am not sure if it is how the document is uploaded originally by the other party that causes this, but the only thing I can do as a work-around - is to print out the entire document, scan and then I can OCR the document just fine! The problem is, if the document is 400 pages or so, this can be a huge waste of time, and money just to be able to search the PDF.
*I have also checked the pdf properties to see if this is some sort of permissions issue, and there are not permissions/security settings in place.*
PLEASE HELP! Any assistance in this matter would save me a lot of time, and of course (my sanity!).
Thank you in advance!While the alert speaks to "renderable text" that is a simplification. The issue is that you've PDF page content consisting of at least one renderable "character".
Look at font families - you will observe that there are many characters that are not "text" characters (i.e., linguistic characters).
So, there's a "renderable character" present. It may be an alpha numeric that has a font color the same as the page background. It may be under the image and thus not visible to the eye.
You might be able to determine just what is present.
You could export the page of interest to a text file then view that file.
You could deplay the page of interest in Acrobat Pro then select the "Content panel" to view the content tree.
Locate and click on the page number for the page of interest.
From the Content panel's Options menu select "Highlight Content".
Walk down the tree. Select the content containers in turn and observe what is highlighted on the PDF page.
Where might the renderable character come from ? Typically that'd be associated with something in the work flow.
Not always easy to find so don't take anything in the work flow for granted.

How can I see my kids' texts? (Family Sharing)
I gave my kids an iCloud address under Family Sharing, under my account. How can I see their texts, or have them forwarded to me?
A great feature would be a summary email 1 or 2 times per day with the contents of their texts.
(For more clarity, I just got the iPhone 6 and they have my old 4s, with no cell service but with WiFi at home using the new iCloud address)

Can not see long text description of a characteristics in portal
Hi experts,
I designed two queries via Query designer and published them to portal but I can not see the the long text description of "Name" attribute belongs to 0BPARTNER characteristics.
One of the queries shows only the last name of partner in portal while it is showing full name and last name in Bex Analyzer. The other query shows only the key value in both portal and Bex Analyzer.
I want to see long text description in both queries.
For an additional information, I'm extracting data from CRM 5.00 to BW 7.00
What will be the reason for this and how can I solve it?

We want to change <b>only</b> in the screen variable the hierarchy text (from default to long\medium text) but even if there's a possibility to do this, really it doesn't happen anything - it' s possible when you start query, in the selection screen inside every the variable there's a command "User Settings" in which manage what you want to see (I put display custom, as text, medium text).
I try to do this also in query analizer, selecting variable (hierarchy) and enter in this (user setting), changing in display custom as text - medium text, but even if I save this settings, really doesn't happen anything.
It seems the system isn't sensitive to this selection...
By now, if someone has an answer, please write us!

I just switched from an iPhone to a Galaxy 4S and I like it except for text messaging. I can text, they can see it, but I cannot see their response if they are using an iPhone. Can you help me with this? What do I do please?
Congratulations on your new phone kathdogg! Now let's get your messaging working correctly. If you still have your old device, turn it on, go to settings, and turn off iMessaging.

I just statred Flash CC for the first time and it seems that the text within the pop-up window (dialog box) is mis-aligned and not allowing me access to the command buttons, nor all the text. (ie: the NEW Template Box, can't see but 2/3 of the content) is there a fix to this problem? using 8.1, Monitor is a high res.2560x1440.

Please help me...My 12year old daughter has been talking to a older teenager through the text free app. How can I see the conversations? Also, there is a photo vault that is locked. What is that? Please someone help me. I don't know what else to do. I paid and downloaded a program that is supposed to tell you everything that's on the ipod but that was a joke. Thanks for your help.
As long as you can't get a hold of the device, you can't do anything more than talking to your daughter about it.
Erasing the device could also be an option to keep her from using apps you don't want her to have on her device.

How can i see when someone has accessed my call/text log. HT5295 How can I see the transcript text? It does not show it.
I get podcasts from the RN site. All of them are transcripted for ease to the user to find names and review the contents. The old application showe the text on top of the artwork as a transparency and you could scroll as with any other text. Since the update to iOS6 and to the podcast app I CAN NOT SEE THE TEXT!!! They forgot to add an essential part to podcast; the additional information provided by podcasters! Let me know of alternative ways to access the transcript text. Thanks.
Swipe up from the very bottom of the screen to bring up the control Center. Tap on the Orientation Lock icon. It is the circular arrow surrounding a small padlock. This icon will then appear at the top of your screen near the battery indicator and your screen will not rotate.

My iphone is gray or black it is functioning but you can not see the screen so I can not call or text or anything, I have a child that is very ill and I have to have access to a phone at all times can someone help me? It happened one other time when I plugged it in to my to listen to music. I know it is working it said something on voice control. I tried the press the circle button and the top button but the screen only turned white?
Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order -
Hi. I lost my iMac's hard drive and had a new one installed. I reloaded my old iWorks 08 software and then transferred my Pages documents from a portable HD to the iMac. The files open but the original text in them (they are journals) are in white against the white background. Plus I can't see any sign of the cursor. I can hi-lite the text and change its colour but never to black. Plus the photos I inserted along side the text are barely visible, as if they had been badly faded.
Any thoughts on this? Many thanks.

You must run Software Update and bring your old iWorks 08 to the latest release for compatibility with the current OS.

Just installed Pages from iWork08. I start a new document, and I can't see the cursor or any text.
After I type something (maybe it's white on white?), I can highlight the text (which comes out white with a light purple background), so it's there. But I can't change the color to anything meaningful. The format bar says I'm typing black on a white background, but no matter what I do, I get (I'm guessing) white on white.
I have a version on my laptop at home that works fine. What's wrong with this picture??

How do I drag an image or text box to the "workspace" off of my working file but where I can still see the image and text box for future use?
When I drag the item off of the trifold that I am creating, it just disappears but I still want to use it. I just need to move it out of the way to modify other portions of the document.

CAdd another page below the current one to use as a storage area. You can't use the grey area around the page for storing items you want to use later.
