Rendering audio files in Garageband for uploading to website

We edited a video in IMovie 09: We imported it to Garageband and added some MP3's; We exported to disk; We burned a nice DVD in Idvd; The completed file shows up in Soundtrack Pro; Here's the problem. When we uploaded the final .mov file to a website the mp3's we added in Garageband never made it. Only the original audio track associated with the video clip in Imovie got uploaded. It's my understanding that the audio tracks added in Garageband don't get rendered into one audio track. When uploading to an FTP website only, one audio track will upload. ANybody have a solution to this?

Big problem, big big problem. It's a glitch in the program and a bad one. iWeb is obviously capable of resizing photos in a simple drag and drop step, but for some unknown reason the full sized (in my case 6 to ten megapixel) images get uploaded with the blog. RSS subscribers get free access to any of these photos that were dragged into the blog page. This is a very bad thing if you plan on selling photo prints of the same images-- you just gave away all your inventory. I'm hoping the same isn't true of my actual gallery pages.
Nobody in the photo business makes their full digital files available free to the public, but iWeb is doing this by default, and not informing the user. Answers amounting to "resize your photos first" are correct, but apple really needs to fix this issue in iWeb. Also there is no "default" reason to upload huge photo files when they are simply intended to be viewed (quite small actually) on the blog page. A jpeg properly sized for web viewing takes about one tenth of the space of a full sized file. I'm decidedly not wanting to do "photocasting" and that should be a very deliberate and purposeful step, not a default.
The other blog photo glitch is that it resizes and crops your photos, when it should simply resize them like it does for the thumbnail view.
It's reasonable to assume that drag and drop resizing does not store an invisible full sized photo file and then upload it without a warning, reasonable, but currently not true.
I'm hoping that if I go into my blog in iweb and delete the photos that they'll be permanently removed from the server. I know you want to sell me photo prints, Apple, but this is not the way to gain a customer!

Connect iPad to computer and open iTunes. Select the iPad.

Format the flash drive in FAT32, save the file as you would normally and transfer it to the flash drive, then the PC. It should work fine unless one of the Word apps is older.

Using GarageBand for MacOS X, I have no difficulty importing and playing .mid (MIDI) files. Indeed, I can even rename .kar (Karaoke) files to .mid, import them into GarageBand for MacOS X and see the lyrics along with the score. Using File Sharing for iOS apps in iTunes.app, I have tried to import .mid and .band files (made from .mid files with GarageBand for MacOS X) using this mechanism. As I understand it GarageBand for iOS .band projects can be imported to GarageBand for OS X, but the reverse isn't true. GarageBand for iOS does not import midi files.
The File Sharing section of iTunes doesn't validate the files you put into it, but if the app doesn't like the structure of the file it will just ignore it.

Safari does not handle documeny uploads, with the exception of images. You will need an alternate browser - I recommend iCab Mobile - with the following characteristics:
Document storage
Ability to change the browser ID (some site servers restrict upload functions when accessed by a mobile browser; iCab allows you to set the browser ID to a non mobile browser).
I've had pretty consistant success with icab under thee conditions. Its is likley not the only one available that can handle this, however.

How can I match tempo & sync of old audio files to Garageband?

Final question and it's a doozy. While I know the "general concepts" for trying to accomplish the following, acutally trying to get it to work is frustrating. At first thought that the new Garageband tempo/playing thing would work but I'm not being successful. Perhaps there are better programs for this. I am moderately aware of the beat/slicing/tempo tap programs -- I just don't have the lets-do-it-detail to make it work. Here is the goal.
#0 - New DAW file is created in either Garageband or Logic Pro.
#1 - I have old stereo MP3 and AIFF files digitally dubbed from old cassettes, some recorded 30 and 20 years ago. Most were recorded to click track or drum machine. Newer tracks are MIDI but my first tracks are purely audio.
#2 - I drag an audio file (MP3 or AIFF) into either Garageband or Logic Pro. The track becomes an audio track.
#3 -- I need to edit off the beginnings of these tracks. If Garagebands new tempo sync thing is enabled, you can't seem to do this. Once the track is playing -- the tempo should be moderately consistently (The originals often used a Roland TR 707 ??? drum machine). However, the tempo might not be perfect and I might need flexibility.
So, how do I ACTUALLY DO THIS?
#4 - The goal is to get the NEW song template to match it's tempo to the audio track. The song now has the correct tempo that (hopefully) perfectly matches the original track.
#5 - If this works, the old audio track is like an old temp track that is frozen in place.
#6 - I record new fresh tracks against this backing tracking. Voila, I have a newly semi-produced or at least recorded song based on the old recording.
Sounds easy but the devil is in the tricky details. Thanks for any tips, suggestions, references to forums, blogs, YouTube videos or books.
I am open to other software as well.

Attach your welcome audio to an object that is not seen (e.g. a highlight box set to 0%) and use your Advanced Actions and variables to HIDE this object ON SLIDE ENTER if the user returns to the same Menu slide at a later point in the course module.
This should mean that the first time the user gets to that slide, the audio will play. But all subsequent times they return to that slide, the object will be immediately hidden on entering the slide, which will mean that the audion does not play and all the user sees are the menu options.
Your alternate strategy would be to have two slides that look almost the same. The first one has the audio, and the second one doesn't. Your TOC item for Menu, and any other links in the project that point to the Menu, would go to the second slide without audio. The user will be none the wiser as long as you work out the navigation.

Premier freezes on export after rendering audio files

I'm having issues exporting projects out of premier today.
System specs:
6 core mac pro trashcan
D500s
32gb ram
500gb ssd
All media is on a lacie thunderbolt raid0 drive
Currently working on the simplest timeline you can imagine. One pro res proxy clip on a pro res proxy timeline exporting with matched sequence settings. No effects or plug ins.
When I export it renders the audio files and then stops at 0.01%. When I hit cancel premier crashes
I've also tried rendering in the timeline and the same thing happens. I've tried a few different projects with different media and the same thing happens.
Talked to support on chat. The guy trashed my preferences and deleted/moved all my plug ins (thanks - didn't let me know he was doing that). In the end I had a deadline to meet so cancelled the chat, unplugged my drive, plugged it into my macbook pro and was able to export as normal from there. Wanted to go back on chat now but its unavailable.
My mac pro has been exporting all week just fine. The only thing I've done in the last few days is install Osiris LUTS. I was still able to export another project after that as well. Right now I'm guessing that I'll need to do a full re-install of adobe CC, but having to do this in the middle of projects isn't really acceptable. Perhaps there's another solution?
Oh and by the way I'm on CC2014 v8.1. I haven't run the latest updates yet. As I said - in the middle of several projects and up until today everything was running great (apart from a couple of crashes a week)

Found the issue. Was just about to re-install everything when I noticed some quicktime files on my desktop not displaying as normal. Tried to play them and sure enough wouldn't open (quicktime wanted to convert them). So I downloaded the latest apple pro apps and now I'm all good exporting.
I remembered last night I downloaded some youtube ripper software. I'm guessing that messed with my codecs somewhere down the line.

How to validate File Path given for upload

Hi All,
I am trying to upload a file using the File Upload Control. I have already bound the data and resource property with the context attributes. Can someone please suggest that what can be done to validate the file path? For eg. if i enter "abcd" in the file path and click a button for uploading the file. My application simply "<b>HANGS UP</b>" without even reaching the code what i have written on action of the button.
Is there any way to permit the user to enter the path only through Browse button and not manually? Please reply ASAP.

After going thru above post, you can identify that the inputField is being declared as FILE type (like <input type="file" >), and you would also noticed the cause for your error in the last link which I have specified above, and what microsoft also recommends for it as a solution to show an alternative message in place of the blank screen...
Hope now you would be clear...why your method is not being invoked..
Please revert back for futher queries... try to come soon with an alernative solution...

TFTP file too large for upload

I'm trying to upgrade my router via TFTP. I keep getting this File too large for TFTP error. I'm using the recommended TFTP server from Solarwinds.
There does not seem to be any setting in the server to let large file pass, It's the first time I see that, but this is the biggest IOS I had to upload. I had no problem sending the last IOS witch is only about 3MB smaller.

Quicktime audio file to CD for playing on a CD Player can you help

I have a quicktime audio file (which seems to show as a movie?) which I have on my desktop. I want to burn it to a CD so that my uni tutor can listen to it on a CD player. Can you help. I get all the way to the burn thing in disk utilities, but it won't burn. I'm thinking it needs to be saved in another format?

Oh, thank you Martin. I've cracked it right the way to burning the file, but it doesn't play on a CD player. I definitely brought it through iTunes, but it shows on the CD as a Quicktime file. I think this may be the problem. Liz

Audio files too big for Muse?

Hi -
I just added with the help of the MuseGrid audio widget about 110MB worth of mp3 files to my site. It's suddenly taking a very long time to publish when it used to take seconds. Am I going to crash the site? Is there a limit I am pushing here w regards to file size?

If file is large then it can take up time to get uploaded, there is as such not limit to add files but its always good to split if files size is too large to load on page.

Can't See Audio Files in iDvd for Slide Shows Once Applied

When you select music from iTunes for the iDvd Slideshow (I created it in iDVD, not in iPhoto), there is no place to see what songs you have in the playlist. Unlike the photos in the slideshow that can be removed and moved around.
There should be a similar window for the Audio so that you can add or delete selections.
It may be that it is easier to do this in iPhoto rather than in iDVD. I'll try that next.

You could use a "streaming server" and free Apple software that would play your file using RTSP instead of HTTP. These files are not cached (saved) on the viewing machine.
If someone wants to keep your file they'll find a way to save it. Let them download but keep them from editing your file. As easy as drag and drop using AppleScript.
