Rendering hassle: IE7, FF and Chrome are OK...IE6 is not
Here's a new one for me. I have a page layout using CSS,
floats, columns and all sorts of fun, contemporary stuff.
When I preview it in Internet Explorer 7 (which I hate and
because of that it's isolated on another computer), Firefox 3 and
the Beta of Google Chrome, the page lays out PERFECTLY! I am so
happy that I contemplate doing somersaults.
However, the bane of this page is Internet Explorer 6. It
renders all but 3 thumbnail divs in the right column correctly.
I realize I'll have to send a link to the page for review,
but does anyone have any 'oh, I know that you're talking about'
sort of broad-brush answer I can try for the moment?

Does the page validate? By that, I'm trying to determine if
it could be a
box-model issue. If it validates, it's not. If it does, then
we'll have to
see the code - it still could be a double margin issue (in
IE6, if you have
a float AND a margin to the same side, IE will double the
value of that
margin).

Safari, FireFox and Chrome are not loading webpages in OS X Lion
I have been unable to load certain webpages in any of my web browers that I have installed. This includes Safari, FireFox and Chrome. While I am able to load sites such as ESPN.com without any issue, I cannot connect to Facebook.com or CNET.com. I have tried clearing by browser history and cache, turning off and on my wifi and restarting my computer. Any ideas of what the issue is and whether there is a relatively simple fix that does not require waiting for an updated software release from Apple?
Reset Safari more often.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari
Select: Clear History (also empties the cache)
Deselect the remaining boxes then click Reset.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test. -
Fast AMD Athlon multi core desktop. Linux on other my machines doesn't have this issue and versions there are up to 3.6.16 now. Haven't been able to isolate it to a particular cause yet. When I can get another user to back up their bookmarks I'll completely uninstall Firefox and reinstall to see if a clean install has the same issues. I'll then add extensions gradually, checking each time.

CFCHART causing FF12 to run like molasses - works fine in IE7/8 and Chrome
Hello, everyone.
Has anyone else experienced CFCHART making FireFox (I'm using v12) to momentarily freeze, then process things real slow?
Granted, I've been toying around with the Spry accordion tabs - could this be affecting it?
Basically, when the page first loads it freezes for about 15 seconds. When it frees up, I will click on the accordion tab that contains the CFCHART and it will sit there and do nothing for a few seconds; then it will open and I can see the fully processed chart for half a second and it disappears; if I sit and wait another 15 seconds the chart re-renders. At this point, if I click another tab nothing happens for about 15 seconds, then the new tab contents appear.

just reformatted, and downloaded the new FF 5, but cannot get youtube videos to load

Youtube may have made some changes recently. Clear the Youtube cookie if above does not do it. -

Sidebar addon, lasspass,and more are CUT OFF, but not disabled
The problem happened after automatic update of 15. LassPass has all my passwords!!!It is like the toolbars are too big, but window boundaries not big enough. Worked with zoom, including reset--but that only effected the web page itself. MUST have passwwords......hate to reinstall. Any way to go to lower version? NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. I don't want to change browsers!!!!!!!!!Long time FF user.
"Reset" creates a new default profile with a time stamp appended to identify it and tries to recover settings like bookmarks and history and passwords and cookies and auto-fill data from the old profile, but you lose data like extensions and other customizations.

Even if you put a credit or debit card on file with iTunes it will still use your balance FIRST.
I would suggest putting a card on file and testing to see if it will allow you to make a purchase, then removing the card from the account after successful download of an item.

The scroll bar does not appear on the loading of the sharepoint site. It appears only after refreshing 2 or 3 refreshes. We have found that SP.Ribbon.js does not load on page load it gets delayed as it appears after the refreshing.
We have tried various CSS work around but could manage to get the scroller in browsers but the ribbon will not still appear. from CSS we are able to bring scroller but its a Page scroller but ribbon wont work, somehow we need to load sp.ribbon.js after
all webpart loads at one server request by the browser.

What fonts and attributes are available in presenter notes?
I use keynote to make lecture presentations and make extensive use of the presenter notes but find it desireable to add italics, underlining, etc and different fonts in my notes. Is there a way to do that?

Not able to select and copy from adf table in IE and chrome if we enable row selection

We have an adf table and user wants to select and copy table cell values.
We enabled row selection on adf table. Ifrow selection is in place, IE and Chrome are not allowing user to select and copy data. But Firefox is allowing.
Do we have any solution to this? For our customer IE is the standard browser and they do test app on IE.

I already checked to ensure cookies and 3rd party cookies were enabled. I've gone to DISQUS, but it won't let me login there either...doesn't recognize my ID or email addy. Suggestions?.
It appears they've shut down all commenting due to the troll antics on the site. The pornographic images they were posting and the racial attacks (among other things) when posing as conservatives may well have caused this. The Disqus filter wasn't effective in that it is easy to get around. Too bad as it was a great place to vent.

I would have preferred to show anyone a screenshot of the web pages, but there is not an attach file on this forum. Anyway, with only Firefox OS , not my other browsers, the web pages are not rendering correctly. For example on Facebook there is no header or footer. JS is active in the browser and as I said Chrome and Safari are NOT having any problems. I am surmising that the CSS and JS files are somehow not being displayed. I may be very wrong, but I would gratefully accept any help someone has to offer. Thank you and have a great day!
