Rendering issue with Netbeans and Firefox
Very new at using JSF, in fact I am using it from Nebeans 6.1. Once I create the pages using the visual designer, in IE, for the most part they look as they were designed, however when I view them in Firefox, listbox seems to be the original size and spacing between components is larger than IE. Not sure how to fix this, any help appreciated.
Edited by: robucf3 on Jun 4, 2008 8:35 AM
I have read up on the two subjects and I have looked at the generated code, in fact I had to tweak some of it to get the CSS to work. In any case, is there anything specific for me to look at, some attribute that maybe needs setting, etc?
Found this:
# Issue #95022: Resizing of textfield and other components does not work.
Description: Due to a change in Woodstock components, resize handles have been removed from the following Woodstock components: TextField, TextArea,PasswordField, DropDown and ListBox. This issue impacts especially projects imported from Java Studio Creator and NetBeans Visual Web Pack 5.5/5.5.1. Resized components may look different from how they looked in previous releases.
Workaround: For TextField and TextArea components, use the columns and rows attributes, respectively. DropDown and ListBox components are automatically resized to the size of the longest item by the browser.

Hello,
I am attempting to use a combination of Vidalia and the Torbutton Firefox extension to access the Tor network. However, every time I do, Firefox refuses to load any pages, stating that it is connected to a proxy that is refusing connections. My operating system is Ubuntu 10.04. Any help with this problem would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Joe
== This happened ==
Every time Firefox openedI use Tor/Vidalia/Torbutton/Polipio regularly. When I get this message, it is because I am trying to browse normally with the Torbutton enabled (green, Tor is "on") -
Or, I am trying to browse using Tor, it's turned on but Vidalia is not running in the background. If you installed Vidalia so that it does not automatically start when you start Windows, you must manually launch it (I use Start>Program Files>Vidalia Bundle>Vidalia). Give it a few seconds to get connected and then Firefox should work with the TorButton enabled.
In case you do not know, Vidalia launches Tor, and will report if there are any problems with it.
The documentation, tips, FAQs, help, advice and general availability of any practical knowledge on how to use these features is extremely poor, for reasons I am currently being made aware of. Because of this, I am considering starting a Discussion Forum focused primarily on helping people make use of this anonymous browsing technology.
If anyone is interested in assisting with this effort, or has helpful advice, etc... feel free to e-mail me at quickdxtjohnatgmaildxtcom -
Java Plug-in / JSObject support with IE and Firefox
Hi there,
Basicaly, the idea behind is to write objects in Java to replace or extend functionnalities of a web page (like XMLHttpRequest object). Those objects should support event handler writen in Javascript.
My first idea was to create JavaBeans and instantiate them through OBJECT tags in HTML (not as ActiveX objects). I don't find a way to instatiate a Javabean which was not also an applet.
Does someone knows how to ?
Anyway, the OBJECT tag may not work with Netscape. So, I went to use the APPLET tag with the Sun Java Plug-in.
I've made some tests with IE and Firefox and there is at least two differences between them (both use the Sun Java Plug-in) :
1/ Firefox / JSObject
When you pass a Javascript object to a Java method, it seems that you
cannot use methods like 'getMember', 'call', etc on this object.
(invocation of the method works but returns null)
But, if you access the same object form inside Java starting by
JSObject.getWindows(...) and so on, it works fine.
IE works in all cases.
Example, with the Java applet and HTML below :
. Java applet :
| package JavaJS;
|
| import netscape.javascript.*;
|
| public class FirefoxApplet
| extends java.applet.Applet {
| netscape.javascript.JSObject win = null;
|
| public void init() {
| win = netscape.javascript.JSObject.getWindow(this);
| }
|
| public Object getJSObjectMember( netscape.javascript.JSObject jso, String member ) {
| return jso.getMember(member);
| }
|
| public netscape.javascript.JSObject getJSObjectFromPath( String jsoPath ) {
| String [] jsoNames = jsoPath.split("\\.");
| netscape.javascript.JSObject jso = win;
|
| for( int i = 0; ( i < jsoNames.length ); i++ )
| jso = (netscape.javascript.JSObject)jso.getMember(jsoNames);
|
| return jso;
| }
|
| public Object getJSObjectPathMember( String jsoPath, String member ) {
| return getJSObjectMember(getJSObjectFromPath(jsoPath),member);
| }
| }

| }
| }
|
| function go() {
| print(ffxa.getJSObjectMember(o,"s"));
| print(ffxa.getJSObjectMember(o.o,"s"));
| print(ffxa.getJSObjectPathMember("o","s"));
| print(ffxa.getJSObjectPathMember("o.o","s"));
| print(ffxa.getJSObjectMember(ffxa.getJSObjectFromPath("o"),"s"));
| print(ffxa.getJSObjectMember(ffxa.getJSObjectFromPath("o.o"),"s"));

2/ Internet Explorer / JSObject
As we have seen in the previous example, passing Javascript object to
an applet method works. Here, the problem comes when a Javascript object
is pass to a method that's not an applet's method.
If within the applet, you instantiate a new Java object and then
call from Javascript a method on this object with a Javascript object as
parameter then an Exception is raised when invoking that method.
Firefox works fine here.
Example, with the Java applet and HTML page below :
. Java applet :
| package JavaJS;
|
| public class IEApplet extends java.applet.Applet {
|
| public void init() {
| }
|
| public Object echo( Object object ) {
| return object;
| }
|
| public Object newEcho() {
| return new Echo();
| }
| }
. Java Echo class
| package JavaJS;
|
| public class Echo {
|
| public Echo() {
| }
|
| public Object echo(Object object) {
| return object;
| }
| }
. HTML page :
| <HTML>
| <HEAD>
| <TITLE>IEApplet</TITLE>
| <META http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
| <META http-equiv="Content-Script-Type" content="text/javascript">
| <SCRIPT>
| var iea = null;
| var txa = null;
|
| var o = {
| s : "object o, member s",
| o : {
| s : "object o.o, member s"
| }
| }
|
| function go() {
| print(iea.echo(o));
| print(iea.newEcho().echo(o));
| }
|
| function print( text ) {
| txa.value = txa.value+text+"\n";
| }
|
| function loaded() {
| iea = document.getElementById("iea");
| txa = document.getElementById("txa");
|
| }
| </SCRIPT>
| </HEAD>
| <BODY onload="loaded()">
| <APPLET id="iea"
| code="JavaJS.IEApplet.class"
| width="0"
| height="0"
| MAYSCRIPT>
| </APPLET><BR>
| <INPUT type="button" onclick="go()" value="Go"><BR>
| <TEXTAREA id="txa" rows="10" cols="40"></TEXTAREA>
| </BODY>
| </HTML>When the HTML page has loaded, a click on the Go button gives :
. Firefox output :
| [object Object]
| [object Object]
. IE output :
| [object Object]
with this Exception on the second method invocation :
| java.lang.ClassCastException

| at sun.plugin.com.DispatchImpl.invoke(Unknown Source)There is a workaround for this, it's possible to wrap the Javascript object
in a Java object with an applet method and then use this Java object as
parameter.
Anyway, my questions are : regarding points 1/ and 2/ are these bugs with the Sun Java Plug-in ? or someone could explain these behaviors ?
Thanks for your reading.

Are there any known compatibility issues with iMac and Google Chrome?
Does anyone know of any compatibility issues with iMac and Google chrome. A Facebook friend who is a photographer posted recently that Chrome had ruined his iMac. He stead that it ran an update on itself that made safari and chrome unusable - slow running overall. In the end he had to reinstall his OS.
Is anyone aware of this and should I un-install Chrome off my Mac?
Thanks,
S.There is nothing official but your post will attract a variety of personal experiences. I once loaded Chrome and found myself with the dreaded MacKeeper malware, loads of pop ups and conflicts with my system. Part of the problem is the huge range of add ons you are tempted to take on, many of which are not as strictly tested as Apple extensions. I would say, unless you have a specific reason, leave it alone. The best browser is Firefox and for Macs, Safari is OK.

Problem with netbeans and WTK.
Hi I reinstalled my computer...
I have installed "J2me with netbeans "
when I am running my project (the build is ok)
my emulator refuses to load or when it lodes it "fly" out after few seconds
I traied to reinstall netbeans ,
instaled WTK in a different folder (then inside netbeans)
but nothings seems to work
I am hopeless...
PLz HELP!!!Hi Anvi,
I think you posted in the right place as the J2ME SDK Team read this forum (though they sometimes don't respond promptly as we would have liked). I also got the same issue as you, but check out the responses by the J2ME SDK Team to: https://blogs.oracle.com/javamesdk/entry/update_java_me_sdk_through
It seems there are issues with Netbeans 7.1, and they are fixing things for the next release for Netbeans 7.1.1 so I am sure they are aware of problems that we are encountering. Its fine for Netbeans 6.9/7 if you cannot wait though. -
Problems with Safari and Firefox (HTTP?)
Problems with Safari and Firefox (HTTP?)
On a laptop G4, 10.5.8 and Safari 5.02 I experience the following:
On the account of my oldest daughter everything works fine, i.e. wireless internet works and no problems with mail or safari.
On the same laptop, on the account of my other daughter, the wireless is OK, she can mail etc. But safari nor firefox works. It says: can’t find server (whatever site) and in the activity window it looks if safari tries to open files (in the safari preferences-folder) in stead of http. Same applies to Firefox, so maybe it has more to do with HTTP in general?
What goes wrong? What to do? I tried the following on the host terminal (tips from Apple)
defaults write com.apple.safari WebKitDNSPrefetchingEnabled -boolean false
and
defaults delete com.apple.safari WebKitDNSPrefetchingEnabled
but that did not help,
NanneI'm still wondering why it happens now at this moment in time...
PC does seem to be a bit odd & inconsistent, the few times I've tested with it, at least so far as we content filtering goes; and if I remember rightly, you're not the first to report previously ok settings suddenly preventing some or all internet until pc is switched off altogether.
It may work when re-enabled -
An issue with authentication and authorization on ISE 1.2
Hi, I'm new to ISE.
I have an issue with authentication and authorization.
I have ISE 1.2 plus patch 6 installed on VMware.
I have built-in Windows XP supplicant and 2960 cisco switch with IOS c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-2.SE5.bin
On supplicant I use EAP(PEAP) with EAP-MSCHAP v2.
I created authentication and authorization rules with Active Directory as External Identity Source. Also I applied authorization profile with DACL.I login on Windows XP machine under different Active Directory accounts. Everything works fine (authentication, authorization ), but only for several hours. After several hours passed , authentication and authorization stop working . I can see that ISE trying authenticate and authorize users, but ISE always use only one account for authentication and authorization . Even if I login under different accounts ISE continue to use only one last account.
I traied to reboot switch and PC,but it didn’t help. Only rebooting of ISE helps. After ISE rebooting, authentication and authorization start to work properly for several hours.
I don’t understand is it a glitch or I misconfigured ISE or switch, supplicant?
What should I do to resolve this issue?

endYes. Tried that (several times) didn't work. 5 people in my office, all with vers. 6.0.1 couldn't access their gmail accounts. Kept getting error message that username and password invalid. Finally solved the issue by using Microsoft Exchange and "m.google.com" as server and domain and that the trick. Think there is an issue with imap.gmail.com and IOS 6.0.1. I'm sure the 5 of us suddently experiencing this issue aren't the only ones. Apple will figure it out. Thanks.

[solved] Issue with conky and Kde 4
I have a small issue with conky and KDE 4.2. I start conky with a script which I stored under ~/.kde/Autostart. The script is simple and looks like this..
conky -c ~/.conkyrc_kde4
This works fine. But when I restart the first KDE and check with ps, I have 2 instances of conky running. The instances keep on growing with the number of restarts.
I think kde tries to restart all the apps which were running when the session was terminated. Is there a way to change this behavior in general or all the programs or for only a specific program like conky ?

Select ▹ Software Update to install the latest Java update (if Java is already installed) or the Flashback malware removal tool (if Java is not installed under Lion), as well as any other available updates. Installing either of those items should clear the infection in most cases. You must update to the latest version of Mac OS X 10.6 or 10.7 before you can install the Java update.
The removal tool runs automatically in the background and is then deleted. Don’t look for something to click. If the malware is removed, you’ll be notified.

ADF Faces - issue with Portal and af table
I wonder if anybody could help me with a problem we are experiencing with running our ADF Faces app inside a portal (NOT Oracle Portal). We are using the af table tag with the rows attribute set as follows:
<af:table emptyText="No items found"
rows="10" banding="row"
bandingInterval="1"
binding="#{backing_ModuleSearchReg.table1}"
id="table1"
var="row">
What this does is if we have more than 10 rows to display it will display
a table header that has a label 'Previous 1-10 of nnn' Next 10. However, when you click on 'Next 10' it produces a Javascript error.
When we run the app outside of the portal we do not get this problem.
I believe this is related to known issues with JSF and Javascript inside a 'framed' web page. But if anybody help me with this or point me to a resource that can help it would be very much appreciated.
Many Thanks in advance.
ChrisHi,
I remember a similar issue with inner frames that should be fixed in JDeveloper 10.1.3.3. The problem was that the ADF Faces JavaScript did not get the correct document root.

iOS 7.0.3 did not fix the mirroring issue with ATVs and AirServer. Anyone have an idea what needs to be done? The only solution we have found is to reboot the iPad. We don't have the option of restarting the wireless as so many people are on and it would further disrupt classes.

Hello All,
I have an issue with GR and IR. Following is the scenario.
PO is created for 1 PC at 100 USD. Material is having moving avg price.
GR is done for 1 PC at 100 USD.
IR is done for 1 PC at 100 USD.
again IR is done for 1 PC at 40 USD. (Total IR is done for 140 USD)
Now GR is reversed at 122 movement type for 1 PC.. Amount reversed is 70 USD.. [(100+40)/2]
IR is done (credit memo) for 1 PC at 100 USD.
again IR is done (credit memo) for 1 PC at 40 USD. (price changed manually in MIRO)
So now open GR Qty is 1 PC for 70 USD.
Please suggest how to balance the GR ie how to make zero Stock.
Also let me know where to make a check so that IR is not done beyond the Stock maintained in PO.? How to corrrece the program?
Thanks in advance
Forum ShahHi,
First Let me make you clear, that system nothing to do MAP of material it fetch Material Price With PO for GR and even for reversal for GR.
If you have GR Based IV and you have done GR for I PC then you can only do the IR for One Piece.
For Other 1 PC with 40 USD
There may be possibility that for next in T Code MIRO, you may be doing Subsiquent Debit/ Credit in which system only for value not qty.
Because IR has nothing to do with Qty, system will distribute value to qty as per stock available or Price Type.
and if you have done 122 for that material, then system will ask for material number or delivery note.
Then system will only reverse the GR Qty.
please check the logs of the t codes done.
Hope Help U !

SSL certificate not valid in Safari, but webservice works with Chrome and Firefox
As a MD, I'm used to check blood results online on the service
https://inet.zentral-labor.ch/c16/kunweb.dll - this is the online-portal of my laboratory medica in Zurich. http://www.medica.ch
Access to the loginscreen is public ;-) and should look like this (Screenshot from Firefox)
I've setup a new workstation 3 weeks ago (iMac with OS Lion 10.7.4), and this webservice service works fine till yesterday. Now, Safari is every time we try to reach the service telling us, that this service needs a certificate, we can choose only a default apple certificate
and then, the error is:
This Site needs a valid SSL-Client-Certificate... (Screenshot below)
What's wrong with Safari? With Chrome and Firefox, the webservice works fie without any problems.
Thanks for an advice

"Go To Current Song" should take me to the current track and give it focus (i.e. highlight it). If I'm playing the song straight out of my library, it does the right thing; but if the song is in a playlist, it jumps to that playlist but does not high
